We had an ocean view room with a balcony. It was wonderful to be able to sit out and see the ocean!
The room could use some up dates but was very functional with a fridge, kettle, coffee maker. Breakfast was more than enough with many choices. We brought some of the food back to habe for snacks or lunch!! All staff were friendly and accommodating! Very busy area with lots of shops and restaurants.

We had an oceanview room. Property was clean and breakfast was good. The one down fall is they rent chairs to people on cruises and beach is overcrowded and not relaxing. They reserve the front row for guests but not always inforced. Also everything shuts down at 8pm nothing to do at night

We love this hotel. It is small but clean and very close to the beach. The staff are friendly. The room was cleaned everyday and towels were changed daily. The amenities were always refilled.

The location of the hotel on the beach was great. The front desk staff seemed to be involved in everything! They were all knowledgeable and helpful. We were unsure about staying here, as Philipsburg gets very quiet after the cruise ships leave, but after the stay, we couldn’t be any happier with our choice to stay at the Holland House.

Very clean, very comfortable bed, beautiful view from my room, and I was able to watch the sunset daily. Loved the fact that my room had a Nespresso coffee machine, which was a perk! All around lovely and classy hotel, not to mention the restaurant was perfect. The food was delicious, and my compliments to the chef! Their food presentation was beautiful.

This was our 2nd stay at the holland in a 3 month period. We love the entire island, beautiful beaches all around. You have amazing and delicious restaurants all around at walking distance from the hotel. 100% recommend the restaurant at the property. A lot of shopping stores up and down the entire area. Everything does close early here (5pm, each place has its own time) which to us was no issue at all. There are a few restaurants near or close by that do close later in the night. We did rent a car to explore the island and were able to go have late dinners at other places outside of downtown philipsburg. I would strongly recommend getting a rental. Walking on to the property you see the beautiful view of the beach, the balcony view is breath taking. You have beach access with beach chairs, umbrella and towels. Our second stay the bed was super comfortable. The rooms are amazing with great space, very accommodating, clean and stocked with the toiletry needed. Truly a great place to stay, and for a fact is due to all the hard working staff. The staff is AMAZING and they make your stay very welcoming…I can go on and on about how great the entire staff is. The holland will be our place to stay anytime we come back.

This is the place to stay in Philipsburg. The hotel is clean, beautiful, and welcoming. The staff were incredible, always greeting us with a smile. The front desk helped call us a taxi service, and they were very reasonable. The food and drinks at the restaurant were exceptional. The beach and sunsets were spectacular. I recently stayed at the Holland House Hotel in St. Maarten and had a really enjoyable experience. The location is absolutely perfect — right on the beach and in the heart of Philipsburg. Waking up to ocean views and being steps away from the boardwalk was a definite highlight.
The room was modern, clean, and comfortable, with a great balcony to relax on. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the included breakfast was a nice bonus — fresh, tasty, and served with a view.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the nightlife it’s practically no nightlife, and parking can be a bit tricky if you’re renting a car. Still, nothing that ruined the trip — just something to be aware of.
Overall, Holland House is a stylish, well-run hotel in an unbeatable location. I’d definitely stay here again!

I enjoyed my stay at Holland House! I stayed 4 nights. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The front desk check in process was easy and they were helpful with providing excursion information and arranging cabs when needed. I most enjoyed the bar staff & on-site beachfront restaurant. The room was clean and standard but not with the best view. There is a boardwalk with food & drink options just steps from the beach but EVERYTHING closes daily no later than 5pm. I spent a lot of time paying for cabs to visit other areas of the island. Holland House is located in a semi-quiet part of the Dutch side and great for couples or solo travelers!

The hotel and staff are great! On this side of the island (Dutch side) there are limited restaurants. The hotel restaurant is very good, but the menu options are very limited if you are staying for a week's time. The hotel breakfast is a must! The bar staff are the best! When passengers from the cruise ships debark, the beach becomes crowded.

Perfect hotel. Right in the center of the Main Street on the entire island. I recommend staying here. Everything is walkable. Ferry is a 5 min walk which goes to St Barth. Room was very clean and comfortable. Great shower and AC. Parking is 100 feet away. Staff tells u when u pull up to the hotel where to park.

The bar tenders were mostly good too (one bad), shout out Terry and Flora, they were incredible.

My husband and I spent our anniversary at Holland House and absolutely loved our stay. The hotel has a charming outdoor atmosphere, and our room was clean with a beautiful ocean view. The location is perfect—close to everything, yet peaceful. The staff were welcoming and incredibly pleasant, which made our stay even more special.
Although we didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, we did enjoy dinner one evening, which was delicious and made even better by the lovely live music. We truly had a wonderful experience and would love to stay here again.

Holland House was a good stay and great location.I traveled solo and everyone was nice and friendly. I really appreciated how helpful the two lady receptionist at the front were and Forbes who worked on the beach and at the restaurant. Room was nice.My only suggestion is that the cleaning staff take time to look over certain details when cleaning the rooms. Other than that I enjoyed myself.

Hotel staff was amazing. Leave the hotel walk right out to the beach, where you get free chairs, umbrella, and towels. On site restaurant food was ok. Hotel is locales in the middle of the business district, Down less busy time everything closes early so not a lot of restaurant choices in the evening.

I want to give a shout out to some special people who help me Diana an excellent manager she help me with setting up dinner, sunset cruise, taxi to the hotel and decor in our room. Luisanne excellent in decorator, words can't express how happy I am with the room decor. Matilda the taxi driver who did the island tour with us and took us back to the hotel, very knowledgeable and spiritual and positive human being. I love Matilde so much such a delightful person and her spirit really touches you. Let's not forget the excellent personality and waiter in dietary Keisha, she is excellent always greet with a smile and came to serve and make sure you were good. The female bartender I don't know her name, but she been there a year is excellent and is definitely made for the Holland House Beach Hotel. I cannot forget Ms Queenie, the local who I got to meet, have her give massage and buy some items from her. She is a doll and very positive spirit is just a joy.Alot of names I cannot remember but the service and decor are definitely superb. You get STAR 5 in my book, if I am every in St. Maarten again, I am staying at the Holland House Beach Hotel. Thank you all, you are great and I am glad I got to share memories for my husband 60th Birthday in your resort.
