Staff was very kind and helpful but they didn’t have enough room keys. Our room wreaked of mold and there were bags of water hanging from the curtains and the carpet felt wet. We woke up with headaches and swollen joints. We spoke to other guests who woke up swollen as well. The staff did an amazing job for what they had to work with.

1st of all We believe this hotel is ready to close because its very run down and we never saw any other guests in the 2 nights we stayed besides our families. The ceiling was falling in chunks and for the whole entire day until the next day someone actually cleaned it!! The cafe never opened the entire time! No complimentary coffee or any other amenities were offered, the orange sofas closer to the Banquet hall were so disgusting, dirty and the leather was pealed off!! No one ever answered the phones when we had question for the front desk. The lady who checked us in was so friendly but the one that did our check out was beyond rude and unprofessional!! She was seriously unhappy and frustrated with her job!! When I booked it was a Marriot then it suddenly changed to Columbus Hilliard hotel, well I understand why it changed the name...this is for sure No Marriot quality. I will never stay here nor any of all the families that stayed here. Bad service, it was a ghost town, amenities and all the furniture in the lobby was dirty and disgusting!!

Is this how Mariott Fire alarm went off right when my girlfriend and I got out of the shower, we had already previously told the front desk about the fan not working in the bathroom. There maintenance \"tech\" came up knocked on the door, he said he smelled smoke, and the alarms only go off from smoking. Accusing us of smoking. We do not smoke cigarettes or anything else, our jobs regularly drug screen. The chime is loud enough to cause hearing damage. They did not turn it off. We tried to put a towel over the device to quiet it. The tech came back and said we tampered with the device and had to leave immediately. We were given 30 minutes to to get out. We were still getting dressed from the shower so had to get dressed and get out with all our belongings. They never turned the alarm off and it was close to an hour of alarm exposure to our ears. This place is a scam and needs to be investigated. When at the front desk the staff member was smug and arrogant and did not want to help or accommodate our situation. I paid 5 nights over $700 and we only were there for 3. STAY AWAY.

I booked through here for a one night stay. Upon arrival the woman working the frint desk claimed that my room was not paid for yet. I told her that it was and she said that they never charge before arrival only upon checkout, that it must of been just a hold on my account. I let it go and gave her my credit card, i was to exhausted from traveling. A week later I have a charge from expedia and another charge from the hotel. So I got charged twice for the room. Expedia was quickly able to look into the issue for me, however, I am not happy with the service of the staff. Also, our bathroom was not completely clean. I found hair on the floor, and the shower did not work accurately. I will not be staying here again.

Room was cancelled without notice. Big festival in town so all 3rd party bookings were canceled so they could resale the room at high demand ra+es. No rooms when i arrived. Very hard to finad any room in Columbus after the cancelation. Luckily I found another hotel 2 houra later. Front desk wasn't very friendly about the cancelation either. E pedia need to ban this hotel.

This hotel was terrible. They stated that the booking agency had overbooked their hotel by 200 rooms for both nights of our reservation so they cancelled all the reservations and we had no rooms because they had no rooms. It was very interesting that we looked on their site for an open room and the hotel was taking bookings for the same nights and the same rooms that they had cancelled on for so many, but they were now charging 800 to 900 dollars per night compared to the 150 dollar a night bookings that they had cancelled.
This hotel will cancel your booking if they see a profit can be made. Don't trust that you will have a room when you arrive.

Room had a leak in the ceiling, they had to move us to another room on a different floor at 10:00 at night. No Ice machine or vending machines. Property was overbooked by more than 200 rooms and it was a bit hectic for the front desk staff. Room floor had not been swept before we arrived. I understand that you purchased the hotel recently, but there are things that should have been taken care of for the comfort of your guests.

We noticed right away that some of the common areas were very dirty and cluttered, but our room itself appeared clean. We didn’t sleep well the first night because we ended up having some issues with the room (broken AC, leaking toilet, shower not working), but the night shift promised to move us to another room for the second night. There was big miscommunication between the shifts, but eventually we got a different room with working AC and shower (toilet still leaked though). We were told our morning coffees would be comped due to the inconvenience, but they were not.

We absolutely loved the bartender on Saturday (I believe her name is Tara?). She is a literal superhero and deserves the world. Her service and friendliness made our stay worthwhile.

Overall, our stay was not worth the price we paid, but we were still grateful to have decent beds somewhat close to the music festival without breaking the bank.

We were really only here to sleep and shower. However, I did like the new age look of the hotel, as well as the front desk staff. They were all very helpful and nice. The only thing was our shower drain was clogged, so it didn’t drain well. I would stay here again. Parking was very plentiful with lots in front, on the sides, and around back. Very close to different things

These people cancelled our stay 15 min before check in. We drove 5 hrs to get an email of cancellation. They did this to numerous customers that I see on google. Then I see they increased their charge to $1200 person. Very unprofessional! This hotel is a scam. Thanks to Expedia that they figured out a different hotel for us within an hour.

I would not recommend this hotel. They seemed very disorganized (it seemed a lot of people’s reservations were lost, but fortunately ours wasn’t.) But the property and room had several issues.

Most importantly, the room was not clean. When we first came into the room, there were dirty socks on the floor, likely from whoever had stayed there last. We also noticed some crumbling tile in the bathroom and stains on the carpet in the room. The shower had a weird yellow stain as well.

Our bathroom sink and shower also did not drain at all; we informed the front desk multiple times, once on the first day we checked in, and they said they didn’t have any other rooms to put us in so we’d just have to not use the sink or shower. The second time, they promised a maintenance worker would come look at it, but no one ever did. When we checked out, we had been unable to shower, wash hands, or brush teeth in our room at all.

The pool had a handwritten “out of order” note on the gate and was visibly murky for the duration of our stay.

At one point when we returned to our room, the door was not latched; we think a housekeeper did not pull it shut all the way since it didn’t close automatically (although it should’ve), which meant anyone could’ve walked in while we were gone. Fortunately no one did!

There was also no one at the desk when we went to check out at around 8am, and because we were on a time crunch, I had to leave my room keys with a note on the desk.

Warning!! Don’t choose this one. There was no hot water, even after changing to a new room. The electric went out and when it came back on, there was no TV. They are under construction and changing hands so they said a bad review wouldn’t even matter. The rates are mid range and up, we weren’t looking for an economy deal when we chose this hotel. We chose wrong, don’t make the same mistake.

my daughter attends OSU. We were in town for less than 24 hours to attend her sorority event. the hotel had no hot water. the entire purpose of a hotel stay is to get rest and shower. i was unable to shower. nothing was done for this absurdity. i was given an im sorry from the fri t desk and we have a list of others that have to pass to my manager.

Was on 4th floor and smelled like cigarettes really bad. Our room hasnt been smoked in that i could smell so thought other rooms was allowed . We put towels around door to keep odors out. Furnace unit ran and shut off every 30 seconds so was uncomfortable with that. Told front desk and said no smoking is allowed at all and said sorry. One room smelled of tobacco/cigarettes, had no Wi-fi and towels smelled musty. The other room was unsafe with missing light bulbs, bathroom panels hanging down, extremely loose toilet seat and dingy carpeting. The third room we ended up staying in had a plugged bathroom sink drain. After multiple maintenance request the drain was finally cleared. The grounds outside were very weedy and unkempt. Not a good first impression!

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, check-in service was fast and friendly, and thebprice was one of the better rates in the area. Only issue was the water in bathroom, warm/hot water at the sink only worked when the shower ran. Not a huge problem, but could be an inconvenient issue for some. Good location in Columbus, easy in and out!

We stayed here because we went to the Arnold Classic and let me tell you, the staff were pleasant, the property was super nice and clean. It wasnt too far from downtown, so it was a great choice for us. Free parkinf with hotel stay and close to quite a bit of stores etc in the area. Would absolutely recommend and stay again!

Not the Marriott you're thinking of...

The first room smelled like dog, so the night attendant switched our room without any problem. The second room had broken curtain clips, ripped shower liners, broken outlets, and a toilet seat that needed to be tightened. Everything in the hotel is worn and dated. One elevator was broken for two days, and there appeared to be mold around the ice machine area. This hotel is just tired; I was shocked at how awful the rooms and areas other than the lobby were. The lobby is what you would expect from a Mariott; the rooms and hallways, etc. are worse than some Motel 6s and Super 8s that I've stayed in. Maybe it's because it's surrounded by an industrial park. All I know is that if my name were Marriott, I certainly wouldn't want it associated with this hotel.

We stayed one night in November arrived around 11:00 pm and was advised by the front desk clerk this was their last room. We found that the room assigned to us had water damage and appeared shotty workmanship to patch the bathroom ceiling over the bathtub caused mold and mildew. Mildew along the floor/baseboards and door frames. We advised the manager the next day and she was apologetic, but I reinstated this should not even have been assigned to a guest b/c of the mold and mildew. She was to comp our rooms through the Marriott Reward Program but have yet to see that. We have stayed at many Marriotts and never had we experienced this in the past. I have photos as well. Because it was booked through Expedia they could not refund the cost of the room $241.90. Very disaapointed and very upset that Marriott's night clerk assigned the room as such - that room should not have been open in their system until repairs and the mold/mildew issue was remedied.
