This hotel has seen better days, but like most structures in Saint Martin it took a bearing during hurricane Irma. The room was very pleasant, large, with a completely functional kitchenette and a beautiful balcony view if the ocean and sunsets. I really wanted a simple place to stay, and it was located a convenient walk to a gym, Porto Cupecoy, groceries and restaurants. I didn't want to rant a car so the location was very good for me.

We stayed for 5 weeks and really enjoyed the area The hotel was a little dated but was very clean , the staff were all great Marsha was helpful in pointing out great restaurants and local establishments Ramona and Veronic and Josephine worked very hard in the bar restaurant area the pool was well taken care of. Our balcony views were of the beautiful water.

This resort is in an excellent location. Close to many restaurants. Only 10 minutes walk to Mullet Beach. The resort itself is quite dated and could be cleaner. This was my second time there. Because of the great location we will be returning there.

The staff was outstanding. The best. The room was the worse I’ve seen. The view was great. But no hot water. No hand soap. It was dirty. The cupboard doors were hanging off the hinges. The room door couldn’t be properly secured. The toilets would not flush properly. It’s too bad because the hotel had so much potential. The staff was amazing. But it was literally the worse hotel I stayed in.

This hotel was just awful, ran down & in very poor conditions! The area is not safe. The staff was courteous & tried to make up for it not their fault. The owner needs to be made responsible, it is literally falling apart! I was only there one night and I would like to request a refund. Nothing positive to say.

This was a good solid place to stay. It met all the expectations. It was very clean in the room and around the resort. Room was as pictured. View wonderful. Staff were helpful and friendly. It was a quiet resort and I enjoyed the free welcome party, the wine and cheese party---both with singers and the karaoke. Water aerobics was great. Restaurant food was good and the store on premises was very convenient . Mostly an older crowd. You should probably rent a car to get around although you could walk restaurants and stores --one about a km and the other just half that. Helpful staff arranged an extra couple of nights due to flight cancellation and also helped with taxi service.

No early check in, no problem but arrive, no clean pool towels, room needs some work not super clean but ok, poor beach access, then try to go down for swim in am before the denied late check out, no towels available I’d have to wait. So I have to rush to check out but I have to wait for the one amenity I actually cared about for the kids. I’m not super picky but it wasn’t great.

Safe yourself the future trouble and DO NOT BOOK HERE! What a nightmare. The photos looked nice and reviews were decent so I decided to book this for a week long getaway. What an instant regret. The place is DISGUSTING. Rooms not properly clean, Hair all over our floor (not ours) right after checkin, which indicated rooms not properly cleaned before hand. Lobby is run down, grounds are run down. We checked in, went for dinner and booked a last minute stay somewhere else, and quickly checked out. Hotel won’t give me a refund. I was UNABLE TO STAY HERE due to the lack of cleanliness. The bed had a metal rod running down the middle. Who knows what sort of bugs and roaches I would have found in my room if I continued the stay. Horrible grounds, horrible customer service. You should be ashamed you are operating to the public like this. We last minute booked at the Hilton Flamingo and it saved our vacation, they were amazing!!

The staff was amazing, so helpful... Marcia was the best, our go to girl for everything. The room was nice... Not perfect but nice.
The only complaints I have is we had to ask for service every day to get clean towels and sheets and the last who did breakfast and runs the bar outside is not very friendly. But all n all we loved it! Definitely recommend.

Great market nearby and small market w/ essentials downstairs, decent.
Gym looked enough for people with experience and those who want to do cardio to be happy. It was closed for Reno when I was there. Great gym nearby, walking distance.

The ocean view room was amazing with the yachts, planes, cruise ships passing by and sunsets. If we had the street view, the experience would have been much different. We lost water a few inconvenient, short times but other than that, it was great. Unfortunately the beach surf behind the facility was very rough so swimming there was not an option.

We had stayed for six nights and did not have hot water in the shower the entire time we were there. We asked at reception multiple times and they had sent up the maintenance crew at least twice. But it was never fixed.
The location of the hotel is lovely but the lack of hot water in the shower for the whole trip put a damper on the whole trip. By the third or fourth day, the front desk, while apologetic, did not seem to care and I’m not sure if they even put in the work order to have it fixed.
They did give us a late check out when my husband asked as our flight was delayed. He had suggested not putting another guest in the room until the plumbing gets sorted - but it did not seem like that would be the case.
We routinely had to ask for a fourth towel as they kept leaving only three. And at times, the beach towels were not available from the front desk as they were being laundered.
We will not be staying here again

The staff were super nice, pleasant and friendly, they allowed us an early check in, we came from another resort in Simpson Bay. This hotel resort is very dated; the rooms are dated. If not for the wonderful staff, I would not have even given an average rating. I saw some maintenance guys doing some work during our stay, hopefully they bring this resort back to above average.

Im torn here about a review....Been to the property a number of times with good results. This time a pay for an upgrade and get a poor room. Not happy and had to argue for something better. Keep in mind the Sappire has a WIDE range in the quality of the accommodations. Some staff friendly and helpful. Property located in a quiet area with small secluded beach. Wifi worked well and 1 bedroom suites are large with full kitchens. Beds are hard and bathrooms have an awkward tub with shower. 2ND last day my rental car gets stolen out of the secure underground garage!! Security and cameras NO help. I was pretty upset and appreciate the genuine concern from the front desk staff and manager. Parts of the property are showing its age and need work but its clean. I received an excellent price from Expedia. Keep in my other hotels/resorts are considerably more$$$. Please remember this is not a luxury resort and most guests have time shares or own a suite.

On day one after checking in the room key didn’t not work. So the agent had security going with to unlock the room twice that day. On day two they fixed the door in the morning it worked for a few hour later that evening, it mild function again. They had to do the same thing again with security. This was the most ridiculous time I had with this trip, spoke with Sharon the supervisor there was no accountability or accommodation was offered for the inconvenience. My wife had to use the restroom almost went on her self for the issue.

The hotel is very dated. When we asked for a taxi we waited about 15 mins just to find out the front desk representative called her son. It wasn’t a Taxi service. After her started to converse with us he said my Mom called and said you needed a Taxi. So I’m sure the $30.00 we paid for go 2 miles would have been less. When found a creditable car service that we used for the rest do the trip. We also moved to the Morgan Hotel. The only positive experience was the Older Gentleman who serves as a Bell Man. He was absolutely fantastic. Kind, helpful and respectful.

Terrible, the room got flooded out at 6AM no one came to assist until 6:40AM our 2nd day. Then was transferred to another room AC didn’t work so they gave us a villa the roof leaked the refrigerator broke we lost $100 worth of food and all they offered was sparkling wine and lunch from the bar. The managers presented to care but they didn’t. The housekeeper, concierge, server and the front desk ladies were all great. That place should be shut down and refurbished before guests are allowed to go there. I would never recommend anyone to go there.

What I liked:
The location and the staff especially Roselene, the housekeeper. She was incredibly attentive, thorough, and caring. She made sure our room was spotless and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
What I didn’t like:
The property itself was poorly maintained and felt outdated. It lacked a sense of prestige or appeal. The furniture was worn out, and the bed was particularly uncomfortable. Overall, the condition of the property was disappointing.

Sapphire Beach club was a little run down however the staff was very accommodating. We received fresh towels just about each day despite having a do not disturb sign up) There were a few issues with our hotel room itself, like took a little finagling in order to open the hotel door room but we worked out the kinks. Our shower head was not attached to the shower it was just a handheld. I am not sure if all rooms were like this but ours did not attach. I was a little disappointed as the photos on Expedia show bathrobes however there were no bathrobes. All in all the hotel was in a great location to get you to either the French side or the other side of Sint Maarten in about 20 minutes. The hotel was still clean and safe and it was a good place to just clean up and get some rest if you plan to be out all day.

Good location to access the Casino, shops, Moho Beach, and Simpson Bay. The resort is older so don’t expect a lot in terms of ascetics or high quality. It’s a place to sleep if you’re going to explore the island and go to different beaches.

This property ads are very misleading. So called beach access is via a parking garage to a very steep staircase that leads to approximately a foot of sand a huge rocks. There is not a beach to walk in, lay out on or even get in water from. The excuse given is pictures are BEFORE 2017 hurricane . The bar is a whole story in self, it is boring, dull, very limited drink selection and closes at 9. No entertainment at all. Restaurant food is horrible and very limited. The rooms are nice and staff are great but doesn’t make u for beach and the boring resort. Spa is in basement and is just concrete room. The store is good and man who runs great. If you are older and just want a pool and nice clean bed this is your place. If you want to enjoy beach without having to drive play, good food and activities stay elsewhere.

- The deluxe oceanview studio was generally fine. It was large and clean.
- Appliances looked new.
- Staff were welcoming and pleasant.
- low pricr for the view and size of the room.

Cons:

- Mattress was extremely firm and uncomforable to sit on.
- A bad smell eminated from the kitchen sink drain that clorox bleach didnt seem to cure.
- Refrigerator turned off one day and elevator went out one day but both were quickly fixed.
- Property overall needs updates. They should minimally paint the rusted exterior metal fences, get rid of the faded red driveway and update the bathrooms.
- The fitness center had broken equipment and was not clean.

I will start by saying that when we arrived the front desk clerk was friendly and professional. However, we were told that there was no reservation made for us. So we had to wait a short while until they found something.
When we were finally given a room, I believe we were given what was left back.. as spacious as there rooms are, there is no proper lighting except in the bathroom and kitchen area.
Our bathroom didn’t have a shower head either so we had to squat in the tub to shower. the air condition in the room also did not work well and the toilet kept making weird noises all the time. Our pillow cases had brown stains and the towels we were first given in the bathroom had clumps of eyelashes stuck on the and strands of hair.
Other than that parking was fine, and the views from our room was nice

We recently stayed at Sapphire Beach Club Resort and had a great experience overall. Our flight arrived earlier than expected at 11:44 AM, so we made it to the hotel by around 1 PM. Although check-in isn't officially until 4 PM, the front desk staff was very accommodating. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived, but they kindly stored our luggage so we could explore the resort and surrounding area without hassle. To our surprise and delight, our room was ready by 2 PM—much earlier than expected!

The resort itself is in a fantastic location with beautiful views and easy access to nearby attractions. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable—just what we needed to unwind and enjoy our stay. We really appreciated the extra effort from the staff to get us into our room early and make our stay as smooth as possible.

Would definitely consider staying here again the next time we visit Sint Maarten!
