Beautiful recent restoration of hotel. An outstanding dinner one evening at LeMeurice restaurant. Breakfast was a disappointment (disliked the food preparation, e.g., soggy French toast, dry omelet, runny, blended scrambled eggs). Online declaration of no reservations for Bar 228 incorrect. As guests, turned away from the bar which had empty seating due to prior reservations.

I’ve stayed for over 30 years watching it change hands a few times. It’s gorgeous but my bed was clearly a temp mattress and just a headboard and the rug was missing from the suite.

Elegant without human touch

The staff act so formal and robotic. No personal and human interaction. Just greet you but are not warm. Also the continental breakfast was a choice of 3 croissants and a small fruit salad for $55. Total rip off!

We stayed on the newly renovated 5 th floor. Room 517
There was No chandelier in the room.
Also, the drapes did not completely close to block out the early morning sun. They were not on the track either on the ends. So they didn’t close. Seems they are possibly too small
For the windows. Other than that it was beautiful! Thank you! Gorgeous hotel. Great service.

Nice hotel and great area but charges are definitely unreasonable, 100 Euro per day for service (mandatory), 100 Euro per day for extra bed for my child (while I booked the room for 3 people and never experienced such), super expensive room service and breakfast, never paid as much for hotels fee while the rate are already among most expensive in Paris!!

The General Manager of Le Meurice, Franka Holtmann tends to ever detail for your comfort. The beds are the most comfortable, the hotel is gorgeous and service is perfection. The staff is truly engaged in the experience of the guests down to the bell captain who remembered me from my stay the previous week before a trip to Morocco, which he remembered and asked me about while helping take my luggage downstairs. That’s hard to train. You need to hire remarkable people for that result and Ms. Holtmann seems to have accomplished that beautifully! Thank you!!

Quality of room problems

We arrived early and we are thankful that the hotel provided an early check in. After a long flight from the US this was highly appreciated. The complaints regarding the room and service to the room are as follows; Upon check in the A/C was not working. They did correct this the following day however this is something that provided a difficult nights rest and at theses prices is not acceptable. We were given a King room, we had upgraded to a premier king room however the bed was two full size beds pushed together. The hide this well but there was a seam in the middle of the beds which was uncomfortable. This in my mind is very bizarre that a hotel of this class and high standards would push two beds together to make a King.

The bathroom was a very nice size with a tub and shower. I prefer showers and do not utilize tubs that often. The shower door did not close all the way therefore there was leaking into the bathroom every time we took a shower. We were both careful to turn the shower head closer to the inside to avoid the water spilling but very difficult and again it something that you would consider you would have to deal with at over $1400 per night. We notified the front desk and nothing was don’t to fix the problem. They did not offer to move us to another room etc. we noticed that this must be a chronic problem because their were rust stains around the edges of some of the floor and around the toilet.

Fantastic location... right in the center of everything.

The front desk staff were lovely and the concierge extremely helpful in making restaurant reservations.

The housekeeping staff were the best I've ever experienced... responsive, efficient and thorough.

I also loved the authentic classical feel combined with the modern technology.

Make sure to have a drink at Bar 228 if you stay.

Overall, I was very impressed and would recommend this hotel to anyone i thought was willing to spend.

Just splendid

Absolutely charming, nearly 200-year-old but recently refurbished hotel across the street from the Louvre's front gardens. Had a sixth-floor room with a gorgeous view of the Eifel Tower, with the Arc de Triomphe to one side and Notre Dame cathedral to the other. Personal touches were included, with balloons in the room commemorating a birthday. Bathroom was lovely and spacious with plenty of steaming hot water for the tub. I was surprised that they charged room service delivery with all the restaurants closed and a 6pm curfew in force, and also raised an eyebrow at a letter from the manager left behind suggesting we try the spa or one of the restaurants, all closed for months now. The bed was large but entirely too soft; you were in danger of rolling off the edges. But overall the services provided were top-notch, with friendly staff willing to help out in English when we stumbled in French.

I saw the 6 diamond plaque at the front desk and didn’t realize that the ratings went past 5 stars or diamonds. Well I’m glad 6 diamonds exists because this hotel surpasses any 5 star hotels I’ve been to all over the world. The service is the best imaginable. Just go and drown in luxury.

I want to say a special thank you to Dino Rudolf ( Guest Relations Manager) he made our stay really memorable and unforgettable.
Also special thank you to the waiter who was serving to us during our breakfast . Unfortunately I don’t have his name, but he is highly professional in his filed. He made our breakfast time really enjoyable. Each day he gave us a great advice of what to order. We enjoyed it a lot.
Our room was newly renovated and very comfortable with a beautiful bathroom.
Thank you again for great service and time in Paris.

From the moment I took my first step into Le Meurice, I was greeted with smiles and gracious assistance by the doorman, the front desk assistants, and the concierges. I was personally escorted to my room by a well knowledgeable and pleasant staff member. If you are looking for true French decor, you will be not be disappointed. True elegance and earth abound! The rooms are spacious and contain all that you will need. Lovely marble bathrooms. The food is outstanding, and the sounds pastry chef has been named the best in the world. The staff will assist you in every detail. The 1st arrondissement is by far the best in terms of proximity to many landmarks including walking distance to the Louvre and the Tuileries Gardens.

Limited value for the price

The hotel was okay, but not all that I was expecting based upon its reputation and its prices. The Deluxe room had a very comfortable king bed, but not much room in which to move around -- the bathroom was quite big and I would have much preferred it if some of that space had been allocated to the main room.
We stayed there for 5 days over a weekend. Each weekday morning, sounds of furniture or something heavy being moved around above or to the side of us began at about 7:15 to 7:30 am; by 8:15 am or so loud noise from construction (again sounding as if coming from above us -- but certainly not outside the hotel). While most days we were up and out as this started on the day or two that we wanted to sleep in, it was quite annoying.
One last note: The hotel appeared to have a number of different meetings and events scheduled during the time we were there. As a result, the common areas on the main floor of the hotel, were often full of meeting attendees, leaving very limited space for guests staying at the hotel to just sit and relax.
On the whole, I certainly didn't feel we received value fr our money and I would not return to the hotel when next we visit Paris.

My husband and I just returned from a beautiful stay at Le Meurice for our baby moon (and an early birthday trip). It was so luxurious and we'd be overjoyed to stay at Le Meurice again.

The property itself is gorgeous, the interior design is incredible and I couldn't stop noticing all of the incredible details - the intricate molding, antique furniture, and gorgeous fixtures layered in with modern and stunning works of furniture and art. The property is so incredibly beautiful; an absolute feast for the eyes! Despite the rooms' size (smaller than we anticipated), they are extremely well appointed.

- The service was INCREDIBLE. We arrived well before check in and were given a separate room to nap in, which after a long redeye from the states was so appreciated. From there onward, the staff did everything in their power to make our special occasion memorable- from upgrading us to a room with a view on the Tuileries to leaving fresh dates, fruit, and chocolate cakes in our room with sweet notes from the hotel, to delighting us with the most incredible french toast on top of an already delicious breakfast at the hotel on our final day. They are true professionals and at the top of their game.

- The Views were astounding on top of an already perfect location in the best part of the 1st. Our only wish was that there were chairs on the balcony so that we could have enjoyed more time out there!

Since it was my wife's 65th birthday, I wanted this trip to be special - and it was. The
Le Meurice is close to just about everything we wanted to see - except for spending time
in the 7th Arrondisement; which we love! The hotel staff was exceptional, as expected,
but I found it a little hard getting used to the cost of meals and beverages. Our special dinner night
was exceptional - again, except for the cost - spending a total of around 780 Euros for the evening was a little bit too much. I can't fault the dining room staff - they were great,
but I did realize that it would be expensive - I would definitely not do it again!

I had a 22 hour layover in Paris and this hotel was fantastic. It's in the city center, the staff were extremely kind and even upgraded our room. Our view overlooking the Tuileries garden was fantastic. It's situated in a prime location to see everything in Paris quickly.

This was my second time in le meurice
My first stay was excellent thats why i decided to stay again in the hotel. However my stay this time was not as pleasant and the first time.

When i checked in i was told that i was upgraded but when i went to the room it was the one i originally booked not the upgraded one. I didnt bring this issue to their attention becasue i didnt ask for an upgrade but what annoyed me is that they told me about the upgrade eventhough i did not request it then suddenly changed thinking that i would not notice which is not professional.

Other than this incident i think the hotel is very nice. The interior is very pretty. Their afternoon tea is amazing, i enjoyed it.

Although i can say that my stay was very good but i dont think i will stay in le meurice again.

We enjoyed our stay very much . The staff were all very attentive and friendly . The restaurants and bar were chic and great . We had one of the most scrumptious meals at Alain Ducasse on our arrival night .
The hotel is conveniently located : within steps is the Jardin des Tuileries . 5 mins' walk is to Place Vendôme where all the top jewellery shops are and it's also very close to Rue Saint Honoré where all the famous shops are . There's always a lot of taxis outside .

Hotel is well located to everything, incredible high-end shopping, all site seeing areas, beautiful gardens, incredible food. The lemon dessert is the most beautiful and incredible work of art. It looks exactly like a beautiful lemon, complete with stem. Made of chocolate and lemon it is a thing of beauty and work of an incredibly skilled and well trained pastry chef. The flavors were as exciting as the presentation. The wine list was incredible and the food simply divine.

An exceptional experience

As a birthday treat we visited Paris and stayed at the Meurice a world renowned hotel with a Michelin 3* restaraunt everything was excellent we did not inform them of the birthday but on that day we were presented with a bottle of rosé champagne and a selection of tea time treats with the managers compliments. Faultless in every respect

This hotel is all class

This place reeks of grandeur, but in a personalised, comfortable way that makes you feel like it's your right to be there. The staff are calm and personal. They want to help but also seem to know when to stand back, too. I rate this as one of the top two hotels I have ever stayed at.
