The room was clean but the toilet had issues and it took a while to get someone to come and fix it. When we were checking out we helped ourselves to fruit in the lobby and a staff member very loudly instructed another staff member not to refill the bowl of fruit. We felt like she was upset that we had some of the fruit. I loved the business center and the ease and convenience of printing a few last minute pages.

We have stayed at this hotel a couple times and at this point, I can tell you the front desk lady (don’t know her name), although she is not very welcoming to anyone, she is definitely much more accepting of some, than others. She just seems unhappy, and also appears to be a trainer. The young man she was training is much more warm than she is. It’s absolutely apparent.

Breakfast was the worst Ive experienced globally. Buffet breakfast consisted of dried thin sausages, Bacon which broke into shards on the plate, egg was green and tasted of nothing, clearly it was a powder substitute and not egg, and thats it. Nothing else was offered but those 3 stale dry items.

The nearest form of transport is 15-20 minute drive away, so we were spending $15 daily just to get to a station. The train oit of the town was 1:50 minutes. So you're soending almost 4 hours daily sat to het in and out of the town, amd paying $35 per adult for thr privilage. There is absolutely nothing to see orndo nearby aside from a shopping mall. Which when seen once is overrated and dated.

The toilet in the room had to be manually filled with water each time. Cleaners would come behind the door from 7am and have full blown conversations outside the door, every morning. Loudnand drunk hotel guests weren't toned down by staff when returning at 3am every night crrating chaos. Central corridor wallpaper was falling off, the ceiling in thr cebtral corridor also had damp and lining peeling off. Rooms werent cleaned all day on some days, despite thr please service the room tag being left outside. One day they cane to try and clean the room at 15:19!

I was extatic when leaving and shall not be returning in my lifetime. Shocked this is a Hilton hotel!

Great hotel but kids out of control

Overall, the hotel was clean, staff were pleasant and they made us feel welcome. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star was because of kids in the lobby who were acting up and behaviors weren’t addressed. Some young adults/kids were sitting on top of the tables with their shoes/feet on that chairs, yelling, acting up for quite some time. This happened during our check in, and later when we went downstairs to relax in the bar area of the lobby. We immediately left as to not hear the shouting. Again, we later walked through the lobby and the same kids were still there shouting, sitting on top of the tables, feet/shoes on the tables and chairs. The poor woman at the front desk looked miserable. Unfortunately we weren’t able to use the amenities because of this.

It was perfect for what i needed. Was working an event yesterday evening I was hungry when i got back but the kitchen was closed. Otherwise everything was great. Im a former hotelier, i would know. Oh and no paper available during breakfast.

Hotel is near family. Convenient to parkways and shopping.

The bathroom floor wasn't clean. There was hair on the floor and on the bathroom mat. We used one of the hand towels as a mat after we showered.

Great place rest your head and save few bucks when going into New York City. It took less than 40 minutes to drive to the city in the morning and was 100 plus less when you factor the extra room and visitors taxes to stay in NY and this place is far Safer!

The stay was good. My only complaint is that this location advertizes and charges more for a room with a tub( the only reason I chose that room) , yet they have zero tubs on location. The fact they are so blaise about it at the front desk is disappointing.

The stay was great. The bar/lounge was closed. That was a big disappointment because we had to go out and pick up alcohol ourselves and brought it back. They would’ve made money off of us. Over all stay was great.

One night stay

I’ve stayed at the Hilton before while visiting family nearby which was why I returned.

The hotel is undergoing major renovations. They messaged me soon after I made the reservation to prepare me. I appreciate that. Unfortunately I didn’t read the email in time, but that is my fault.
The room was in great condition, brand new and very clean. Front desk staff were very nice.
Reasons for a 3 star review was that no effort was made to pick up trash/litter on pathway/parking lot outside the temporary entrance. There were sloppy signs up pointing guests to back of building which were hand written or spray painted on plywood. It was difficult to roll my luggage since there was gravel/potholes everywhere. I would have expected better considering the overall condition of the hotel. The other issue was the construction workers language. I’m not a prude or conservative but the crude profanity I heard from construction workers who were sitting outside in the front patio made me very uncomfortable. (Note: they were speaking to each other, and not directed to me). From a professional perspective, that’s not the experience I’d want for my paying customers. That’s not the Hilton’s fault but it’s what I experienced.

I’m sure it will look great after reno is completed, but they probably shouldn’t have been taking reservations without having an adequate entrance to the hotel.

Not staying here again

We were in town for a family wedding, and stayed at this hotel. It was completely under renovations with only one entrance in the back of the hotel, yet parking was still in the front. No amenities available, no restaurant, no bar, actually not even a public restroom. Room was just completed, clean and spacious. Had to call for an iron and hair dryer. Day before we left, no maid service. They didn't know why we were missed, but brought up 2 towels, not even a hand towel.
They didn't give the bride a headsup until week before wedding. Won't stay here again

The whole renovations should’ve been an indication of shutting the whole hotel down. Instead we were greeted with a spray paint check in sign on a wooden board directing us on the back parking lot “lobby.” We were passed our check in time (7pm ish) and we were told our rooms were still not ready. After waiting 30 mins in hallway, I tried to cancel the reservation with the hotel associate…he claimed since we booked through 3rd party, that he wasn’t able to cancel on his end. I explain to him that because we were passed the check in time I wouldn’t be able to get any refunds. He was adamant that he couldn’t do anything and I was told to cancel on my own. I asked to speak to a manager, and he was able to help me out by canceling our reservations on his end.

I only stayed 2 nights but something that I didn't like was that they were undergoing repairs (we didn't know beforehand) and construction and they started working at 8am and because of the noises and vibrations you couldn't sleep anymore after this time.

While this property is convenient for the Dover area to include Lake Hopatcong and Mohawk Lake which both offer great lake front dining and shops along with the Rockaway Mall, best location to stay in. The indoor pool was drained and non-functioning.
