Property has not been kept up - current and old leaks are apparent in walls and ceilings, a/c broken, clumps of dust were stuck on bottom of mattress when pulled out the sofabed, more than just a dusting of dust on the fans put in the room as substitute for broken a/c (that was supposed to be included in room rate, and which was not mentioned to us as not being available ), etc. Sense is of a place that has either fallen on hard times or doesn’t want to spend any money to maintain the property.

It is in a good location near the tube the city center and beach are very easy to access.

Good Weekend

It was located in a neighbourhood off the main Prado area, anyone driving would needed to know it was a one way system. Arrived and was checked into 106 room which had a problem with the safe and the showers knob which was so hard to turn.... then was given 115 room which was on the main road and unfortunately had some very inconsiderate guests that was shouting and talking loudly above our room in the night. The toilet door did not close properly in this room. but overall was nice and comfortable. The downside of it is that they will not do housekeeping unless more than 4 days so you will need to keep on requesting towels. Other so, the Front of house service was good and friendly. If you wanted to stay few nights... This is recommended for good budget just not room 106.

Can Recommend This Hotel

Quite a small hotel just off the Av Du Prado, and about a 40 min walk to the port. Clean comfortable hotel. Basic amenities. No bar though which some might find a problem. Some good restaurants in the vicinity. Rooms are suites, and have a small but fully equipped kitchen. Bedroom was quiet and very comfortable. Staff were helpful. Would definitely consider staying there again

CAUTION...Fiance burned hand pretty bad.

It is a nice hotel, large rooms, nice bathroom, small kitchenette; however, they installed the wrong lightbulbs inside their lamps by the bed (supposed to be LED but weren't) and that made the metal of the lamp turn boiling hot (literally put drops of water on it and it boiled away) and my fiance touched it and burned her hand pretty bad. Thank god for the receptionist who had gauze and burn gel. I caution every visitor to watch out for the lamps by the bed. I would not stay here again.

Cheap, but think twice before you go!

First of all, hotel staff was helpfull and friendly, can't blame them about building issues...and building has got issues for sure! First of all, smell in the corridors, strong and hard to live with. Second and main thing, our room aircon were leaking through the sealing quite seriously on the carpet, called staff, they said it's ok, it's not dangerous. So it's not bad cheap hotel if you're lucky enough to have room without issues.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel and were looking for something suitable for a couple with a small child 2 years old. Generally we were satisfied with the room and the staff, who were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and a good size, well equipped with a kitchenette. The negative points were no maid service until after four days, no bath but only a shower, no parking was available except on the street, several of the bathroom fixtures were loose and poor quality. The price was reasonable and in our budget, so I would stay there again as a family but not as a business visitor.

Comfortable room with a fridge and kitchenette :)

Location was ideal for me. After staying at the Old Port for a couple days, I needed a place closer to the Stade Vélodrome and also close to Bus 19 that goes down the coast to Madrague de Montredon, Chemin des Goudes (the Goudes Trail, calanques of Marseille).

Hotel staff greeted me with smiles upon check-in. It was fast and efficient. I liked the key-card for access-control to use the elevators, front door, room door, lights. Convenient and secure.

Room was first floor, end of the corridor. Was surprised to see the fridge and kitchenette. Bathroom was spacious. No bathtub but a shower is better to wash off the Mediterannean sea salt anyway. Room was clean upon arrival. Window was great, got some indirect sun and a private view of a lawn area (no access) but I could have danced naked and no neighbors had a direct line of sight into the room.

Air-conditioning worked like a charm (essential if you visit Marseille in July/August).

Used the fridge to store orange juice and water. There's a Monoprix supermarket for all your needs nearby.

There's also numerous places to eat in a mixed residential/commercial quarter. Optometrist, pharmacy, pretty much anything you'd need. I tested the Vietnamese resto around the corner and it was good. Seven Urban Suites also has some restaurant partners who will deliver food to your room. There's a booklet filled with menus in the room.

Anyway, pleasant stay. No Canal+ in-room, but they have a Business Center with it on the big TV + Nespresso

Hotel near Transportation and Conference Center

This hotel is one block off one of the main roads in Marseilles. It was nice because it was quieter, being slightly away from the main street. It was a 10-15 min walk to the conference center and a 5 min was from the Metro. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. The only thing is to get to a place that has food for breakfast (other meals are fine) is about a 15-20min walk. The hotel has a breakfast every morning and it is your typical European breakfast, not hot food. The hotel does not tell you, but it is 12Euros a day. So know that when you go downstairs. The rooms are small and very minimalistic (the showers are tiny and it's hard to shave your legs), but comfortable. Every room does have a mini-fridge, sink stove and microwave.

the front desk personal especially a girl named Charlotte was very helpful. She told us so much about the area. Showed us on the computer what she was talking about. She made out adventure very easy and delightful. There was a man there one morning also that was great and told us about Cassis, which was a beautiful drive and a beautiful city. I wish I got his name he was very nice. There was one girl in the morning that was not helpful, we asked her if she would call enterprise to tell them we would be a little late picking up our car and she didn't seem to want to do that. She asked us if we had the no., she had a phone book but she wasn't going to look it up for us. The other thing that got us is after the first night we never got coffee in our room. But those are small things. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is going to that area.

Excellent option on our trip!

We were on vacation and also participating of an annual convention on the Convention Center that from this hotel using the metro the access was convinient (Perrier station). Well, if you like to walk is on a considerable distance but take at least 20 to 25 min if you want to walk slow. The staff were kind and resolved with their best attitude some questions and situations we got. Our main language is spanish so they did the best trying to find some of the staff member that speak our language or at least manage the english language. The photos and rate was accurately.

No aircondition, Stupid shower.. stay away

I think it's the worst night ever during my whole europe trip for 2 weeks. The hotel's aircondition system was not function so all the rooms in the hotel has no AC during our over night stay with this hotel. They gave us fans instead after we complained that our room is very hot. Their shower is also very stupid and while showering, it also got flooded. Stay away from this hotel.

The hotel appears newly built/renovated. The rooms were very clean and the staff was friendly. No complaints. Other reviews state the location as a negative but I would disagree. I like to walk so the Soccer stadium was not too far of a walk and you are equally distant from the City Center (About 30-40 min). Cab rides were 15 Euros from the City Center but we walked most of the time. There are restaurants nearby but not directly attatched to the building(10 minute walk). I would stay there again.

Excellent little hotel

Very good hotel. Located in a quiet street at the corner of Cassis and Rue de Rouet. Excellent location - 2 min walk to the Pèrier Metro station - direct metro line to the St Charles train station and airport bus. There are several restaurants and shops on Av de Prado and Rue Louise Rège. Closest supermarket is on Rue Louise Rege. The boulangerie at the corner of Rue de Rouet and Rue Louise Rège was excellent and might be a cheaper option to the breakfast provided by the hotel.
The staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. They give undivided attention to the guest they are dealing with. Which can be a good thing if you are that guest else you may have to wait. Our check in took time because of the guest ahead of us needing help with touristy info.
Our twin room had a view of the mountains. We'd booked a double but there was goof up. The staff did find us a double but it was on the ground floor. We stayed with the twin. The room was a bit small but great value. It included a kitchenette with a full set of utensils. The room had a refridgerator and a safe. Beds are comfortable. Free WiFi.
Spacious clean bathroom. Only complaint was with the shower not having a place for soaps and shampoos - you have to use the floor. This seems standard across many European hotels and B&Bs.
I highly recommend Seven Urban Suites.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel as it was new, clean, contained a small kitchenette with a deck and friendly and extremely helpful staff. There was free wifi in the the room and underground parking. There was also laundry facilities in the hotel as well as a room with two computers with a printer and a coffee making machine. The hotel was located about a 20 minute walk to the port area and close to a few restaurants, bakeries and a grocery store.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff was also very friendly. The hotel building itself if pretty new which is evident by looking at the surrounding buildings. The closest metro station is about 2 blocks up the street. Although there are not many attractions immediately next to the hotel, there are some stores and restaurants within walking distance. You can always take the metro down to the old port area. Overall, it's a nice hotel and I'd recommend it if you don't mind taking the metro a few stops up to the more touristy parts of town.

Nous avons choisi cet établissement, car tres bien situé, et aussi parce qu a 20 min du stade Vélodrome ou nous avons ete voir un match, l arret de Metro 2 Perrier est à quelques centaines de metres, et il y a de nombreux commerces de proximités a côté, boulangerie, Franprix,...metro direct pour la gare St Charles.
Seul bemol, la ventilation continue...personnel aimable.
