The location was great to see Olympique the Marseille!!, the hotel was great, the staff was nice, except for Virginie , we were ordering at the restaurant but , our food was taking so long and she really didn’t care, because she was focus on other people’s order, thank goodness Sebastian understood what Happened and he gave my son a free non alcoholic fruit cocktail and he enjoyed it a lot, so 10 points for Sebastien 0 for Virginie

The AC Marriott Velodrome has great air conditioning, which is key when the thermometer is above 35C. Nice little pool out back to cool off, and plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. dining options are superior to what you might expect. We use it for our corporate visitors, so highly recommend.

Everything you need is there.

Everything you need is there. However a few things were stripped down a bit too much for my taste of a 4 star hotel. The cloth hanger was an open metal shelf instead of a closed or open cabinet. On the other hand the shower had ceramic tiles with relief. Looks interesting but is difficult to clean. The light at the desk is too dim to use it as a comfortable work desk.

Nice hotel and well located with easy Metro access. Parking is an issue however as we were told we needed to reserve this in advance though no instructions for doing so were provided in advance of check in. Selected this hotel because easy parking was advertised - ended up being a pain.

Hotel in an ok location. We wanted to stay close to the Palais de sport for a tennis tournament so it was within walking distance. Snacks only available later in evenings after tournament, but the worst tea and cappuccino ever at the bar!

Great hotel and convenient!

Location was good - next to a shopping mall and the stadium. Not far from the vieux port by subway. Definitely able to find street parking instead of paying for parking - just might have to walk a few minutes. Staff was great. Make sure you check your bill before leaving - we took parking the first night but they tried to charge us for every night we were there! Other than that, nothing bad to say!

This property is listed as a 4 star accommodation, which is not at all accurate. Expedia needs to review this property immediately to register the rating at no more than a 2-3 Star hotel. The location is fine if you want to be far from the maddening crowds. 4 Metro stops from Vieux Port using both Metro lines. The hotel is 3 years old, but looks like 10. The staff was generally grumpy and unhappy, which I believe is a big sign that there is a problem with the management. The breakfast was a big disappointment. The hot food was never hot, the cappuccino machine produced curdled milk in my Latte. Customers were constantly requesting items to be filled and asking for food that should have been ready accessible for them. The rooms were exactly like the photos with the exception of the bed, which claimed to be a King and was really two twins pushed together and not very well. The beds themselves were hard and uncomfortable and when we requested additional bedding to soften the bed, the staff person at the desk was not at all gracious, but rather snotty about it. I was tempted to suggest that she spend a night on the bed before she makes an assumption on how the beds really are. The shower was good, but the drain did not work. We were swimming in water every time we took a shower. The water would overflow constantly. We reported this, but nothing was done. I don't know the standards of Marseille, but this is not a 4 star hotel!

Good location for both access to city via metro and out of town to beaches by car. Comfortable bed and good sized, clean room, but parking place by hotel not guaranteed even if willing to pay €10 per day (other options free street parking but may take a while to find (safe) spot or €25 per night in nearby parking hall).

Nice place to stay. Great location for catching the metro and they have parking available on site. Difficult to figure out how to get into the hotel to check in. Signs and traffic flows make getting on the property difficult. Morning breakfast buffet in not worth $25. Great bike trail next to the hotel to ride to the beach. Safe neighborhood.

Great location if you are attending an event at the Velodrome - right next door. We weren't, but it
is still a good location since the metro is only 5 mins away. 3-4 stops on the metro and you are in
downtown Marseille. Get a day pass - good for metro and all buses.

Would definitely stay again!

Rooms are very spacious and clean. Excellent service. Location is not the best because there are not many shops or restaurants around but public transportation makes it easy to get to anywhere relatively quickly. The bus stop was in front of the hotel and the metro was less than a 5 minute walk.

Nice rooms, nice personnel, nice breakfast, and nice location with reasonable prices. Because of a small technical problem, rooms don't have wi-fi. My friend from Marseille told me that, in summer time everybody in Marseille on vacation, so you cannot find someone to repair it. Additionally, we realized that how dependent we are on internet.

It couldn't have been any closer to the stadium.

Nice and clean, quiet hotel. The beds were a bit smaller than I'd like but I'm not a small guy so I can deal with it. Great location, great price. And again, CLEAN! You couldn't be closer to the stadium, which was great because the game there was the purpose for the trip. The beach was about a half hour walk away, which is along a nice wide avenue with stops you can make along the way. The metro station is about 200 meters away and is fast and very cheap to use. I felt safe and comfortable my entire trip. I really fell in love with Marseille.

We spent two days there. First breakfast was disappointing, as we went down 9am, and there was not much food left for us for 19 euro per person. Second day one of the guest was trying to get some milk, but the lid came off, so the milk went all over the table. The waiter reaction was terrible. He stated to shake his head, and he was quite upset. He picked up a cleaning cloth and started to wipe it off, but then he realized he need a mop as well. So he throw the cloth to the table and went to get the mop. I was shocked how a 4 star hotel can be this poor in costumer service. Not recommended at all.

High Quality, Modern Hotel

Nice modern hotel, ideal for what we needed in being close to the ATP Tennis tournament in Marseille. Hotel staff excellent and very accommodating. Restaurant food was of good quality and breakfast was good though hot food has some room for improvement. Only other negative point to mention was that the TV did not work, it's downfall was trying to be too Smart and it kept falling over as a result!

Overall, good quality, modern, clean hotel which was very comfortable. Room was superb and had everything we expected. Would come again if going to the Tennis or seeing Marseille football team.

the room and facilities were excellent. We only stayed for one night so the hote parking was convenient. The hotel is on the same lot as the velodrome which made going to an event very easy. Everything was good about the hotel but it was still very expensive for what you get.

Équipement de la chambre très appréciable : peignoir, chaussons, gel douche, shampooing, après shampooing, crème pour le corps.

La piscine extérieure n’est pas très grande mais chouette.

À proximité du métro, parfait pour visiter.

Emplacement parfait pour les 125 ans de l’Olympique de Marseille. Petit déjeuner 8h-11h nous sommes arrivés à 9h45, nous avons cru à un gag . Plus rien, plus de vaisselle propre, pas de tables débarrassée nettoyée, plus rien à manger, juste un café et quelques restes par ci par là. Une seule personne au charbon à essayer de faire le max, sans l’aide de l’équipe. L’hôtel était plein y a pas plus facile à planifier. Nous l’avons signalé à notre départ l’hôtel a fait un geste commercial mais 21€ x 2 pour 2 cafés, c’est limite pour un soit disant 4 étoiles

Nous avons passé un très bon weekend dans cet hôtel. Dès l’arrivée, l’accueil est très professionnel. La chambre était impeccable, confortable, et très calme. Le lit était très confortable, parfait.

L’accueil à la réception, la chambre spacieuse et lumineuse, très propre et bien équipée, le bureau plus une petite table ronde et un fauteuil devant la fenêtre qui donne sur la piscine et la vue dégagée, la salle de bain avec tout le nécessaire est également en très bon état, d’une belle taille et très agréable.

Double facturation, remboursement partiel au bout d'une semaine et de multiple appel, pas de retour à mes mails, pas de geste commercial, pas de facture fournis, mauvaise communication de la part du service qui gère, a savoir madame casamento, très décevant pour un groupe comme mariott, je ne reviendrais pas et je déconseille a un maximum de personnes de mon réseau.
