The hotel is run down needing a major update. Our room was subpar. The water pressure in sink was god awful..tub was slippery when taking a shower and the fridge was inoperable. Hotel was suppose to be smoke-free but could always smell pot We stayed 1 of the two nights then went somewhere else for the second. The best thing about hotel is the location but other than thar DONT stay there.

Paid for a king sized bed but got a Queen on a king sized frame. View was great. Pool and hot tub were enjoyable but there were never any towels all weekend. Breakfast was okay not great. Comfort level overall of the hotel is mediocre. Pretty clean though.

The front desk employees we interacted with were courteous, attentive, and helpful. The first night we were there the young lady who checked us in was able to answer our questions and provide us with additional items we needed. The second night, when the T.V. didn't work, that young lady came to our room and made sure it was working before she left.

The room was clean, smelled nice, and was roomy enough for the 3 of us. The workout room was amazing! Never had so many equipment choices in a hotel gym before. The breakfast was awesome. They had a good variety to choose from.

It is in a good location. The lake view was stunning and the short walk to a couple of museums and restaurants was perfect.

Some constructive feedback:
-If a room is earmarked for 4 people to stay in, there should be at least 4 hooks for towels. We had only 1.

-There wasn't much light in the room. 2 dim lamps and an entry overhead light just didn't provide much light.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. We would stay here again if we ever find ourselves in Kenosha again.

This is an updated review, my wife spoke to the manager there today and because we didnt ask for a different room we were denied a refund for the first night. We talked to the maintenance guy(broken english) and he told us the heat would stay on....it didnt! This is unacceptable.

This is our second time staying at this location- we like how close it is to downtown Kenosha, the view from the room (the bay), and that there is a fridge, coffee maker, and microwave in the room.
This hotel does seem old and could use some improvements. Cracks in th ceiling, baseboards fallen off on the floor in the bathroom, the shower smelled smoky/strange like a weird cleaner was used. Moldy spots in the caulking in the shower, the windows were leaky and in the morning were full of condensation. The heat was weird- when it kicked on it was really hot (we set it to 69), but then it would get really cold when it wasn't running. Choosing continuous fan was actually cold air. The breakfast was great for my kid, but being gluten and dairy intolerant, nothing but apples and oranges for me. Last year they at least had oatmeal packages. This year: cereal, packaged muffins, pancake machine, scrambled eggs (likely fluffed with flour), biscuits and gravy, bagels, and toast. Yogurt. Honestly good options for folks who can eat anything.

My kid spends most of his time at the pool (great for kids as it's only 3 feet deep the whole pool). They do offer pop for $1 behind the counter, and have some essentials. Overall, not a bad place to stay. They should really just invest in some light remodeling.

There was a very large opening under the air/hear unit. No insulation, just LOTS of cold air coming in. TV didn't work, called front desk and they said someone would be in tomorrow. Nothing ever happened. Called again next day. Told maintenance wasn't in. No iron in the room either. Been here several times and they were \"ok\" before not nothing special. Disappointed for sure this time. Since we didn't book with them and used Expedia, they wouldn't do anything to fix the situation.

You would t let my brother check-in without an ID even though the receptionist advised me to check in with my ID. I paid for the room and you discriminated against my brother and have not refunded my money! I will continue to post bad reviews and dispute with Wyndham Garden, Expedia and Chase!

Check-in was seamless. Room was spotless and the view was gorgeous. I was in room 315. I came back around 9:30pm and my door wouldn't open. I went to the desk, got my key fixed but still wouldn't work. Turns out, the batteries for the lock were dead. The hotel worker called and I waited about 10-15 minutes before being told my door was fixed. When I got to my room, my door was OPEN and no worker was nearby. Being a woman traveling alone, I was terrified but thankfully the room was empty. I found out a little later that the bathroom sink drains very slowly and it almost overflowed onto the floor. Fast forward to 7am after breakfast, I notified the front desk again that I was unable to get into my room and with me only being here one night, this was very inconvenient.
Long story short, I loved the view and staff was nice but the complications were very unnecessary and just enough to make me not come back.

Pool water was slimy as tho it wasn't shocked in months, whirlpool was broken and the hand rails into the pool and whirlpool where very loose. Night clerk was nice and apologetic about the whirlpool, the day manager was rude and wouldn't even look up from his monitor when i asked for a discount due to the whirlpool being broken

The Wyndam is an average stay at best. It's convenient because of it's location if you want to be in downtown Kenosha, but it's not a great place to stay. The shower curtain was about to fall off the wall. The carpet was frayed in the room. The gym had some equipment but lacked a bench, access to water to drink, and tired equipment. It's overpriced for what you get.

The front desk gal was rude—we were an inconvenience to her at check-in. We opened the door to our room and were immediately assaulted by the overpowering smell of body odor. We walked back to the front desk and asked for a new room. The same front desk person rolled her eyes and begrudgingly gave us a new room—never a hint of embarrassment or just a basic apology. It’s a great location for parents with kids at Carthage, but never again.

The view from our room was very nice. The atmosphere was nice. We really enjoyed the band that evening. The room itself, especially the bathroom, needs renovation. The lighted mirror did not work, and the towel rack fell off the wall, scaring us. The threshold at the entrance of the room was missing. I tripped twice entering the room. I let the front desk know about this before we left. Beds were comfortable. The rooms could have been cleaner. Breakfast was fairly good. They needed to do a better job of keeping the coffee pot filled.

The hotel was very nice. We went out of our way in the way home from Michigan to eat at a bar we had great memories of eating at roughly 25 years ago. To our surprise this hotel was within walking distance. It is also not far from the beach of the lake.

The only complaint I had, which I have with most hotels is that they need to give you an extra bath towel for your hair. I don't like to dry my hair with the same towel as my body, especially when they want to conserve water, by not giving clean towels every day

Ants invaded our last morning over 20min. Local fishermen take all the parking close to the entry door so that paying guests as forced to park in the north lots on the other side of the building. They also came and left during the night , hitting car alarms at 3am. One beep is nothing , this was full honking at 3am Breakfast, go elsewhere especially if you have any dietary restrictions, zero low carb options and no forks? Try pancakes with a spoon. We paid extra for lakeside and the view was spectatular. Cant say that about too many other points.

The tub backed up every time I took a shower so I got a bath with my shower. Bed was so uncomfortable. small square pillows are not cool...whomever thought of that should be punished. paint was peeling off the ceiling and toilet was not attached.
The staff was great!! Cleaning crew were awesome! Comedy Club and bar were a plus. breakfast was ok...at least it was free.

We have visited twice and will be visiting every 3 months because our grandchildren live a few blocks away. We do not like that the bathroom linens dont get changed everyday. We visited a year ago and I contracted a flesh esting bacteria at a different place so I need my toilet room thoroughly cleaned everyday.

The overall property was very typical for any motel. The basics were met. View from the room was a lakeside view and very nice. Ice was not available on every floor. Room cleaning was not offered regularly. A product of COVID-19 that every hotel chain is still taking advantage of or abusing in my opinion. Our room was finally cleaned on the fifth day. We had to ask housekeeping staff in the hallway for clean towels when we needed them, no space to hang and dry towels. Room was very small, also not unexpected when traveling. The worst part was \"completing\" the check-in process on line the night before, not an easy task, and then I had to repeat the entire process again when I arrived at the desk. Next time I'll ignore to the online check-in and just wait to check-in when I arrive no matter what chain I use in the future.

We couldn't check in until 5p, the systems were down. So we had to wait until they called us. The hallways are lovely, but the rooms could definitely use an uodate. Our \"city view\" room was to a brick wall. I called to make sure and was advised that was in fact a city view room.

The washroom in the lobby is definitely in need of an update. The parking and location for walking to town are great. The front deak staff were fine, but when I asked for a map of the downtown area they seemed annoyed that I wanted the help in finding what I needed while I waited to even get checked in.

Hotel was clean & well-kept. Location was really nice & the area is super cute. We stayed here on our way somewhere else but kinda wanted to stay longer. Simmons Island State Park is a short walk around the corner & is clean, quiet, & very pretty. We had an awesome surprise beach day there. The only con is the hallways are very echo-y & every room door slams loudly. Sounded like we were in prison all night.

The location is perfect but the hotel is far from it. We stayed four nights and after the third, after asking the front desk three times for maid service, they finally removed garbage, used towels and the bedding. The room itself was not nearly as “fresh” as the hallways - chipped paint in the bathroom, cracked shades on the table lamps, and artwork with water stains. And unless you like rock-hard mattresses and pillows, you’re going to need sleep when you leave.

The location can't be beat! Gorgeous view of the harbor, conveniently located by a number of great restaurants, museums, Saturday Farmers Markets, etc. Ample parking, but a bit of a walk to get there. Breakfast is sufficient, nothing fancy, but a number of good options available with your stay. Rooms are not fancy, older appearance, doors don't close as well due to new floors maybe? Seemed to catch. We had a party of four, requested adjoining rooms and was told this was not an option, though we have had it in the past at this hotel.

The location of this hotel has a fantastic view of the lake. They have done a nice job on freshing up the interior. But maybe the mechanicals, like new windows & doors, could be in the next renovation. But with it being so close to everything, it's where we'll be staying next time in town

Property was mostly clean... looks like it's mid-renovation. Hot tub didn't work...and was not fixed while we were there. Hot but no therapeutic bubbles. Breakfast was ok. All in all, not what we expected of a Wyndham, but it was adequate as a basic accommodation.

The service was probably the best I’ve had in a long time hotel wise, beds are OK but nothing we needed to complain about. The room itself was very clean and looked like it was recently updated. The cons we had was the pool area, it didn’t feel or look clean the hot tub was not working, I was looking forward to that after a huge wedding we went to. I would definitely stay again I’ve been coming here for years but this was the first time we where here in about 2 years.
