Room was okay--slightly run down, but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast could definitely be improved. One of the staff talked down to me at check-in, but the other was very nice at check-out (though she'd clearly been having a loud and contentious argument with another staff member in the back room as I walked into the office). We've stayed at this hotel probably a dozen times over the years, but I'm not sure we'll be returning.

We arrived to the property at 3:15 for check-in and walked into the office to see a sign saying they will be right back. Waited a few minutes before flagging down housekeeping to come to find out that office staff left the premises during check-in hours. We waited for them to return, and that took 45 min. When the man arrived he offered no explanation so myself and the other guests waiting questioned why we had to wait. The male staff gaslighted his guests saying that we where late and he had to leave. He was very condescending, not apologetic or had any customers service etiquette. The male staff treated the next guest checking in even worse questioning him and not holding himself accountable for the bad service. When we finally received our room, we walked into an unlocked open room, dirty and not ready. This added to the frustration and we had to go back to the front desk. The male staff still remained unbothered and without wanting to make things right. This added another 30 minutes to our check-in. The male staff’s attitude and bad demeanor made us not feel safe staying with our children. We asked for an early checkout the next day and a refund to which a different staff member verbally agreed to, but then the property declined the refund through Expedia. We will never book thru Best Western Inn and never recommend the Inn & Suites in Pacific Grove.

Our problem we had was we couldn’t get the heating to work. However after a couple calls to the office, they came and checked it out, to no avail, but they did bring an oscillating heater and blanket to us, which made it comfortable for the night. So we did appreciate that.

It’s the perfect getaway near beautiful spots in Pacific Grove. The location is ideal since it’s between Monterey and Carmel-by-the-Sea where endless sceneries of nature and water will make your stay more memorable and relaxing. Not to mention, the 17 Mile Drive is just minutes away, as well as the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary and a historic lighthouse located nearby. It’s truly a highly recommended place.

I chose this place as my partner and I wanted peace and quiet away from the main areas of Monterey, and it was absolutely perfect! Enormous and very clean room, comfy bed, spacious bathroom and area with microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator. The balcony was very nice to have as well. We could only stay one night but this is definitely on our agenda for a longer stay next time.

This is an unusual hotel - not what expected. This hotel appears to be a 70’s vintage former Condominium Everything looks old. Every unit has a kitchen, small dining area, small living room and bedroom on a strangely laid out split level; even a few garage spaces- some with Tesla chargers. Very poor room lighting - some LED lights were blinking. The overhead light in bedroom was missing the globe - so bare light bulbs. Hotel is across street from Asilomar conference center - it’s old too. Daily breakfasts are typical and adequate with no variance from day to day. Other nearby hotel are less cost per night. I likely wont stay here again.

We have stayed here twice and had very good experiences. No issues with check-in and the room is clean. The property is older and could probably use some cosmetic upgrades, but has been maintained and it didn't detract from our stay. The rooms themselves must be well insulated because we didn't have any issues with outside or hallway noise. Our favorite feature is the adjoining rooms, which is perfect for my family of 4 with the kids both under the age of 5. This setup allowed the kids to take naps and the adults could be in the other room or sit on the balcony without disturbing them.

It can be classified as \"shabby chic\" as my girlfriend put it, but frankly I didn't want to leave. We had the suite that has the kitchen, large deck, fireplace-- I know I could have stayed longer. Really the only thing missing it was dish towels and a dish rack to make cleaning our dishes easier. I'm not even sure people realize that there were actually utensils available. It made it very easy to not just stay here but make it feel a little bit more homey.

First, let me preface this review by saying that we got a very good price on the room for the distance to the shore. Very walkable. Really can't complain at this price for this room. Property has a 70s vibe, which I don't mind at all. Retro! The only problem is that it's also in poor shape. Lots of scrapes, patio doors difficult to slide, lock, etc. I liked the patio but the larger area could have used something. It was empty! Looks bare and kinda sad. But it did provide privacy and light. We had a suite, so it had a full kitchen which was very convenient for us. The included breakfast was mostly carbs which I can't have, but one day there were hb eggs. We loved the gas fireplace, really ups the ambiance! We used it every night we were there! Would stay here again.

When we got there, front desk was closed for and the receptionist was not available for an hour. It was 9pm. There were other customers also waiting to check in. Luckily we found other customers who knew where the receptionist lives, he went there woke him up. No sorry no apologies nothing from the receptionist.

Located in a nice quiet street in easy walking distance to the beautiful Asilomar facility and beach, but not in walking distance to downtown and restaurants. We had a wonderful stay here for our anniversary. We were upgraded to a suite at check in for no charge and the concierge was extremely helpful with dinner recommendations. The fireplace in the room was so cozy and easy to use. We didn't use the suite kitchen, although it was stocked with the bare necessities. Breakfast spread had a range of items and there was an employee right there to help if needed and refill as food ran out.
