Booking was easy. Check in, no problem. Requested to be away from elevators and lobby due to traffic and events late at night. Reservation at the main indoor restaurant was poorly ran. Hostess never called my party so we were forced to take our dinner to go and eat it in our room. Thankfully the food was surprisingly good, at all locations in the hotel. Pool was great - water temp was warm (aka perfect). Loved mobile ordering food and drinks! It saved on so much time. Overall, a good experience.

Nobody came to clean our room. We stayed 12/30 and out 1/1. The parking is so expensive, $19 per night thats unbelievable. Not even a valet parking. Everything is over price inside great wolf. The room is very expensive yet no free bottled water . So, how can I make a coffee or tea. You give us free coffee and tea to make.

The kiosk didn’t work, so the easy check in that was appealing didn’t come thru. The rugs smelled like mildew in our room - like it was cleaned after being wet for so long. The bathtub in the primary room had an indent like it was sinking. It’s the winter time, blankets were too thin for the season and increasing the temp made the rugs smell worse.

Long check in, we did come closer to four though it took almost 25mins just to get to the desk to start checking in. The lady seemed to be trying to engage but it was still about 10 more minutes before we got our room information and wristbands. There's no belt parking which is crazy considering how much revenue they make seems they should include that. We walked about a block to get from the car back to the hotel once we parked. The hotel room not impressed other than the themed lamp shade and picture it seemed pretty basic I've seen more for less. The park and the hotel amenities like zip lining and movie watching, Dunkin donuts cafe and the water park itself were what I believe we paid for it was amazing. That being said overall I would do it again but carpool since parking is $19 a night per car.

The only down fall is that the rooms need a refresh again. The beds need a replace and room needs new carpets and fresh paint. Other than that the kids had a blast.

I first checked in with my family and our suite with balcony was very unclean !!! The floors had candy Nerds all over it and visible crumbs everywhere … we were staying for 3 nites and sometimes things are overlooked ( I am not a Karen lol ) so simply went to guest services and asked it to be recleaned properly was informed it would be . After an hour we went back up and still wasn’t done at this point it was getting annoying so I went back and they said they were unsure when house keeping could get to it and they could instead move me so we opted for that ! Over the next several days we asked house keeping to please bring fresh towels and if our room could be quickly done every time it wasn’t …. I could go on and on about our stay but am not one to complain . But this is ridiculous and DEFF won’t be staying at a Great Wolf Lodge , they had record of the uncleanliness yet didn’t seem to care to maybe ensure things were done properly ! If I could recommend to anyone of your looking to have a clean enjoyable fun stay , just don’t do it at Great Wolf Lodgebin Gurnee Illinois

The rooms were nice and clean. Staff was polite and courteous. Water park was great! We went midweek for our sons Navy Bootcamp Graduation so it was not very packed. Clean areas around the hotel. Good selection of food in Gurnee. The town seemed safe and clean. Things i didn't like: shower handle broke twice but maintenance fixed it very fast. Our door kept sticking making a loud noice every time we opened it. There is no daily schedule for towel or trash replacement. However a quick call to the front desk and they send someone for that. The Dunkin burned the bagel we had ordered and since we were driving out there was no time to go back into the hotel for them to redo it. Pizza was good though. Parking is not great. We had a room in the back of the hotel so the best parking was the front of the hotel since there was no back parking and side entrances were not an option for where our room was located. Overall great staff, some things could've made the stay better but we had fun at the park. So overall good. Would definitely stay again but choose a room closer to parking/ entrance area for better access especially if carrying in items from shopping or food and drinks.

Staff was fine, check in was fine, I was disappointed our room smelled like cleaning products, the bathroom had a type of mold smell, it appeared clean but for $370 for one night I expected more. Additionally I was disappointed in the waterpark hours. With a 4 pm check in and 11 am checkout the waterpark does not open until 10:00 am and closes at 8:00 pm. I was disappointed the kids could not use the waterpark before we left. While you're allowed to use it after check out. We needed to head out and were disappointed it was unavailable in the morning.

Wow... what a difference. We stayed at GWL MN for a week before heading to this one and it was a total nightmare. The place was chaos, from the quality of the room to the staff to the pool. Everything was so bad. I was contemplating cancelling my reservation here and just going somewhere else but Im very glad I didnt.
This location was a stark contrast from the MN location. It was CLEAN, the staff was very young but SO RESPECTFUL, accommodating and attentive. The water park was operated professionally and everything went above and beyond our expectations. If we ever decide to visit the GFL again, it will be the Gurnee location.

Worth every single penny the amount of activities they have for the kids included and everything you might need right in the property no need to even go anywhere else. I will definitely book with them again and again. In love with the hotel. Dunkin, restaurant, Ice cream shop, pizza shop, build a bear, rock climbing so much I can keep going. Pros: registration was easy, parking was easy, the wolf ears are adorable, fun free activities for the kids in the lobby, food options in the resort so you don’t have to leave. Cons: 20 dollar parking per night per car. With rates this high that was a little crazy. Cleanliness could be improved. Found a sock in our closet and Tami’s under the bed. Water parks were plenty for us, just wish there was a bit more outside. Found an eyelash and a braid in the water. Is there a dress code? Patrons were wearing thongs around kids. No microwaves in the rooms. Again at this price- really? With kids? With all that said, I would visit again- maybe not this location.
