Room was not clean, door to room was incredibly difficult to open. Door to building had broken glass and did not lock. Blankets and sheets had holes in them (like mice had been chewing?), paint was chipping in room, bathroom was old and dirty, towels were not folded so potentially used. Whole place not worth it

The room was in poor condition, very outdated. Didn't seem very clean. My door had to be forced to shut all the way. When I came back from my show in the middle of the night the clerk was nowhere to be found and I had had my wallet stolen, which had my room key, so I was stranded in the lobby for a good hour. Every Motel 6 I've been to in the last year has been deplorable. Don't come here unless you have to.

For my first time in Waukegan, this was a great place to stay. It's close to an Enterprise rent a car, great service all around in this area. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Duncan donuts on the corner. Great place to stay. Quiet and peaceful.

Book your stay elsewhere! When we checked in the ceiling in the lobby was falling down, there was nothing welcoming at all about this lobby. I was weary about staying at this point, we went ahead and got checked in. When we opened the door to the room my heart dropped, this trip was to see my son graduate from boot camp and have his overnight liberty, the thought of having my family stay here brought me to tears. We ended up getting a refund and staying at another hotel.

Room was ok. No iron, no coffee pot. Had to ask for towels. Ice machine was not working. No snack bar, snack machine was not working. Room was never checked to be cleaned. Suspicious activities going on with people exchanging money in the hallway. One woman looked like she was on drugs with scabs all over her body. Drinking in the back of the premises.walked outside the second night and a man was bringing a woman inside who looked like she was under the influence. Room next door was blasting tv and constantly arguing and talking very loud. Great Lakes should really look into recommendations for stays.

You get what you pay for. Its cheap but staff was dismissive, area was unsafe, smells heavily of weed and cigarettes, rooms where unclean, housekeeping came in while I was still booked in and attempted to take my beer, poured out my energy drink.

My stay was a nightmare. This hotel not only had cockroaches everywhere, but there were numerous long term residents who were constantly loud, loitering outside the building drinking alcohol and doing drugs, and coming and going all hours of the night. The hotel staff did nothing to quiet the parties because they were obviously just interested in the room rental income. I called and complained about how noisy it was numerous times, the staff’s reply was, “what can we do about it?”. I don’t know why, but the police showed up 2 times in 3 days. There was hair in my sink and bathtub from the previous occupants, along with cockroaches EVERYWHERE. It was absolutely disgusting. Beware! This place is a dump!

I made the reservation on Expedia originally for a 1 bed (in error) and tried to change it to 2 queens. Expedia app stated I needed to contact the motel and make the change. I spoke with the motel and was told that just inform them that I want to change the room size they can do it at the desk, no price change. I arrived at the location, the representative tells me he cannot make the change and charges me for a SECOND reservation for $104.

The room had roaches.

This property has ROACHES. The rooms smell like cigarette smoke and the staff leaves at night time so don’t expect any help with your amenities or hygiene products. Lord forbid you have a issue with your room key

So it was clean enough and bed was comfortable. Could have had a few more pillows. There were only 3. Just was noisy could hear music blaring all night outside. So a few times we woke up from that. Area also seems a bit shady definitely would make sure to be cautious going to and from your car. Staff were ok. Check in and out was easy.

It should not be listed as a hotel rather a rest stop. To get clean towels you have to physically bring to front desk the dirty ones for an. Exchange. Absolutely no front desk area , you also have to request if you need more toilet paper

place was dirty and we did not feel safe there. There are people living there and shady is being nice, Drug deals going on in the parking lot.Our room window had been punched through by someone's fist and blood stain still on the window. Patched it up but the window should have been replaced. yes it is cheap, but would not stay there again. our cab driver also stated that it is not a good place to be. I feel we were lucky , I will never again stay anywhere without seeing the room before payment.

Saw a roach in the bathroom. A dead rat by the office. And the overall smell everywhere sucked. Rooms are very outdated and kept badly. Towels were all stained and dingy.

We were given a room in the smoking section of the building and right away, the smell was pungent of marijuana. Then as we walk into our room, it was dirty, and had roaches. I had my two sons with me, and we had to ask for another room. We were then offered a room on the non-smoking side, a bit better, but bath tub was dirty.

Horrible

I’ll never stay here again. I left the room and when I got back I couldn’t get back into the room. Why?? Because someone was in it and had locked themselves in it. After a few tries of my door handle the door finally opened and out walked a female in her early twenties. She said “sorry”. I said “how did you get in here?” She said the door was unlocked. I know for a fact it wasn’t unlocked because I double checked before I left. She had rummaged around then just walked out the hotel. When I complained to front desk they apologized and said they’d look into it. To be fair the owners were courteous. The guy at the front desk asked if she was wearing a hoodie and a backpack so he recognized her. Never again!

One we got there at 8:30 pm we waited i the lobby for over a hour. When she finally came she was drunk. She started cussing at us because of the fact we have been waiting so long. She had a nasty attitude and kept walking upon me and my daughters threatened up . Also took the stand like she wanted to fight us. The roo. Was nasty and that morning when we finally got up their was four big roaches. We we were out of their. I talked to some at the front desk. I haven't heard back from them. But I will be calling at 11am today central standard time. This place is the worst. I have stayed here many times in the past. They will never ever get my business. I have also told family and friends to never go there. I wouldn't sent my worst enemy there. I really would like like my money returned from this place the . The health department really needs to go their also. Also the city of waukegan. Also expedia should really look into if they really want to do business with people and a company like this. This property is terrible

Would not recommend even for the price

This motel looks great on the app but it is very run down inside. The bed and pillows where super uncomfortable… we would not stay again and would not recommend. People were out in the halls and very noisy very late (11pm-1am) both nights that we stayed and nothing was done about it. It was not expensive but for the same price there are way better options!

The mattress cover was old and had cigerette holes in it. When i went to complain about it. The guy wasnt suprised and offered me a refund.

Weird noise can’t sleep!

A very loud noise started at 4 am and no 1 knew what it was I couldn’t sleep after it happened! Called the front office and they said they will walk by but acted like they had never heard this! Absolutely insane!!

Between feeling unsafe and dealing loud people all night it was horrible. The doors didnt lock correctly, the smoke detectors all had bags over them. The shower barely worked. The list goes on! I will never go back or recommend them
