Unfortunately the Wifi is not covered well .
Some homepages can’t be opened , they are blocked .. it caused trouble for me to excess to the stocks and others website . They definitely need to solve this problem …

Challenging to find as Apple Maps will get you close but unnervingly, not on point. Staff however came to find us and directed us to the hotel. Once there, the location was idyllic. It was peaceful with the best views of Florence. Grounds are heavenly and the pool is a relaxing oasis. Food is delicious if a little bit pricey but not outrageous for a hotel of this caliber. The Duomo view room is a must. We’ll be back.

The property itself is stunning. This is a great place to stay on the edge of Florence. Incredibly relaxing, beautiful views. The downsides are that the on-site restaurant is abysmal, the concierge is abrasive and unhelpful, and the back of house is a downright disaster. I purchased approximately 14 hotel rooms that were lovely. Nearly two weeks after my stay and after having paid about 20k dollars for rooms they have been unable to produce a folio of my charges and have been unable to explain or reduce an $8k charge that was inadvertently put on one of my guests room. While I would highly recommend the hotel, I would suggest only going with a friend and making sure you pay in advance. This hotel lacks any systems to track guests.

We stayed here for a week in the garden suite. The location is beautiful and peaceful . Shuttle service to the city centre every hour made it really easy to pop into the heart of Florence even just for dinner without living there . The staff extremely polite and enjoyed their work and service and food impeccable.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. Exceptionally friendly staff and accommodating in every way. In a special way that’s sincere too, and not bothersome. Which, is very hard to find. Beatiful hotel, peaceful gardens, and surroundings. Amazing view of Florence. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful luxury resort on the edge of Florence. We relaxed by the pool and dined on the outdoor terrace overlooking the formal gardens and distant view of the Duomo and downtown Florence. The very helpful staff provide exceptional service and super-convenient shuttle into the center of Florence ensures a hassle-free visit to Florence. We can't wait to return.

Overall, this is a great luxury hotel. Building and grounds are beautiful, staff very helpful, spa is superb. First night, we were given a room with low windows and a bathroom entry too low for my tall height, but they cheerfully moved us to a room for the rest of our stay without those issues. Restaurant was very good, drinks at the bar excellent. Hourly shuttle from Florence ends at 8PM, cab fare is about 20 euro to the center otherwise. There are the quirks one must expect at a renovated older property, but the stately and tranquil environment is worth it in our opinion.

Gorgeous hotel just outside Florence

We loved our trip to Il Salviatino. It’s a gorgeous hotel in beautiful grounds. We were there when it was near 40 degrees c in Florence so it was lovely to stay outside the city up in the hill where it was cooler. We spent most our days by the pool chilling.

We got upgraded to a room with a view which was so lovely- the view is incredible.

We were welcomed from our taxi and offered a glass of prosecco upon arrival and given time to enjoy it before checking in. By the time we went back to the desk our bags were already in our room (even though we hadn’t told him who we were?!) Impressive! The staff in general were very attentive and never made it feel like anything was any trouble.

The hotel is small so it never felt like there were too many people there. Although there was a small wedding that took place while we were there...the music was turned off by midnight.

We used the free shuttle bus to go into Florence to eat every evening. Having read some of the reviews about the food/price of the food we decided to just eat elsewhere. Although the last shuttle leaves Florence at 8, we managed to always get dinner and make it back in time. If the shuttle could run till 9 it would be even better!! (A taxi costs €21 back to the hotel from town).

Overall a brilliant trip! Thank you Il Salviatino

El Salviatino is a beautiful property on the outskirts of Florence. The facilities are quite lovely, including abundant public spaces indoors and out and a well-kept pool. We booked standard rooms and both rooms were spacious, nicely decorated, and well air conditioned. While the dining staff was excellent and the included breakfast buffet very pleasing, the shuttle ran less than originally quoted and this was very problematic. Transportation in and out of Florence was both expensive and hard to obtain. From the number 11 public bus stop nearby, it is only a 0.3 mile walk up a slight incline to the property boundary and we intended to use this option when the shuttle was not operating. However once on the property, there was an even longer walk up to the elevated hotel along the winding driveway. One night around 1 AM we had a knock at the door and we were offered the bucket of ice we had ordered the evening before. Overall, the inconvenience and expense of commuting to and from this hotel would prevent me from recommending it unless it was for a weekend of rest and relaxation or to a person who had access to a car. If the shuttle bus to downtown was reliable and ran until midnight I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Romantic Honeymoon Stay

We absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel is nestled in the countryside with amazing views of the rolling hills and of the city center. It was romantic, calming and a relaxing retreat from the hustle of Florence. The concierge were incredibly helpful and helped to organize dinners and travel. Great location but....

The location of this hotel and the stunning views over Florence make this hotel a fabulous place to stay. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. If you are driving, you have to go through Florence which is a bit of an adventure if you are not used to driving in Italy. A Sat Nav is essential! On the negative side, the dinner and room service was very overpriced and uninteresting with a very limited selection and, (hard to believe), I never once had a decent cup of coffee! I love strong Italian coffee but I don't like it burnt or, as was the second option, out of a jar! The rooms are over the top grand but with no table, the most ridiculously complicated lighting system that simply didn't work and the TV set in a huge mirror (!) so you could only watch it if you sat in/on the bed. Stay there, but eat out.

Elegant relaxation away from the crowds

With the view of the Duomo from the breakfast table and the sun shining on the immaculate gardens you would be hard pressed to find a more relaxing place away from the crowds in the city. Staff were welcoming and nothing was a problem. The shuttle bus to the centre allows one to leave the car and be driven to the Duomo and free to explore the delights of Florence. The restaurant in the evening overlooking the city is most pleasant. The room was as one expects from a Five Star hotel. Service was attentive without being obtrusive. In all, what one expects from a first class establishment.

Nice hote but be aware of dinner

Unfortunately our overall 4 night experience was undermined on the first night. Upon arrival we enjoyed lunch on the spacious Terrace that overlooks Florence with the Domo in view. Slightly high priced but with service and view in mind it was acceptable. However that evening we dined on the same terrace enjoying the lights of Florence. Sadly the dinner rates are more then 2x the lunch rates with smaller portions.
Understanding this can be a common practice however not to the extent of our experience. Happy to pay for value however this was a gouge... sadly not likely to return.

The only thing that could be better is if the hotel's complimentary shuttle service ran later into the evening, at least until midnight, rather than 830.

A time machine

It was our honeymoon and Firenze was the first stop. We were in the Tagliacci suite and we could feel the history of the property. It is such a amazing experience and different from the very touristy Florence, it is an absolute haven from the hustle and bustle and bring you back to a time forgotten. Incredible property!

About a 10 minute drive from the center of the city.

If you have the chance upgrade to the Greenhouse suites!

Wonderful hotel, Pricey food and drink

The hotel is almost perfect.
The room looks better then the pictures and is ways more impressive (we have been upgraded to a room with a dome view)
The service is what you expect in a 5* hotel (welcomed with champagne, tour of the hotel...)
The breakfast was amazing.

There is always room for improvement.
-I would say that a unheated pool and jacuzzi at 20c (yes, twenty!!) was not acceptable.
-Drinks at the pool were overpriced (\"Ok\" wine at 14 euros per glass)
-Dinner's price were overpriced by at least 30%. (2 services course for 2, 1 dessert shared, 1 bottle of wine = 200 euros and 210 euros)
-Activities offered are overpriced (300 euros!! for 1 drivers for 4 hours to drive us in the Chianti area). You are better renting a car if you go there, however you will be at there mercy!

Can't get any better than this!!!

Our stay at Il Salviatino was nothing short of amazing!! Everything from the staff, accommodations, grounds/pool, and location was perfect!! Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and were taken on a tour of the grounds, which ended at our room -- with our bags following no more than 5 mins later!! The room and the view were unbeatable. Being able to feel like you are in the countryside while having an incredible view overlooking Florence ... yet only being 15 mins away from the city center was AMAZING! The breakfast included in our stay was one of the most extensive breakfast buffets I've seen at a hotel (and I travel a ton)! All of the food was delicious -- and the setting while you eat -- even better! We spent most of our days at the pool away from the busy city. The pool boy Alessandro was so accommodating and always made sure we had everything we needed! During the evenings, we went into the city and had the great option of using the complimentary hotel shuttle which ran every hour! This hotel was one of the greatest experiences! Anyone looking to experience Florence, but want to the ability to escape from the city during the day or night -- this is the place for you!!! LOVED everything about our stay!!! I will definitely be back!

Beautiful setting only 15 minutes from the city center. They have a complimentary shuttle available to transport guests to/from the hotel to the city (saves 25+ euros each way for a taxi). The grounds are well kept and it's so peaceful and quiet. Relaxing pool area (they could use more lounge chairs, definitely a shortage and most people had to wait for one to become available). Great restaurant with outdoor seating and live music in the evening. A favorite hotel of mine and I will be back!

It's the second time we've stayed at the hotel and I noticed quite a few changes. The hotel is a little \"tatty and unkept\" in places. The gym seems as though its been shoved into a make shift room and takes forever to get to. Our room had no mini-bar in it (I carry diabetic medication that needs refrigerating) and was told that we never paid for a room with a mini-bar??? Didn't know you had to???I thought that was a standard these days?
On a whole though, its still an awesome hotel, incredible restaurant staff and very comfortable beds.

Heaven in Florence

This place is absolutely the best! From the time you check-in all the way to check-out. We were treated like royalty. The view from the terrace is breathtaking! The food was excellent the staff \"everyone\" we encountered were the best! They are very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The facility is beautiful and clean. This place is a true 5 star hotel.

We will return here when we visit Florence again!

Amazing hotel. Beautiful view of Florence. You feel relaxed and set apart, while still within 15 minutes of the major sites. Hospitality was amazing. They treated us very well. Service was superb. Food was great. Pool is small, but beautiful. Grounds are better than the pictures. Rooms are very unique and tasteful. They're curated to keep with the look of the villa and the library. Our room had an amazing surround system, great books and a beautiful bathroom. Have stayed in many 5 star hotels in Italy and this is among the best. So glad we stayed here.

Perfect combination of nature beauty and comfort

Il Salviatino, is a beautiful ancient palace sitting on a hill, surrounded by nature and overlooking the city of Florence (they have a private shuttle every hour that drives you to the center).
The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious, our room was on the ground floor so we enjoyed the terrace.
Although it is an ancient villa , the decor is a bit modern with very light color , which is very relaxing .
The staff is very helpful, professional and the service is perfect . The food is exquisite especially the tuna filet. If we come back to florence one day , we wouldnt stay anywhere else.

This is a beautiful looking hotel , but we found the staff at the reception to be very stuffy with a lack of friendliness and conversation not at all friendly , the only member of staff that we found friendly was the lovely girl at the pool, we where here to celebrate my wife's 50th and she was the only one who wished her happy birthday , somebody must have told her this info.
Our room was one of the garden suites which in our opinion was not 5 star and could of done with an update , we had to wait five minutes for the shower to warm up and the loo was constantly filling unless you hit the flusher hard. Breakfasts where ok but I prefer to choose my own food , room service was very limited. We ate in the restaurant one night which was excellent but very expensive . The hotel grounds are beautiful, pool area nice but the pool was not heated and very cold at the end of September . This place unfortunately is just lacking something.

We had a fantastic experience at Il Salviatino. Such a beautiful place, and the location was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. We wanted to feel like we were in the country while getting all the benefits (restaurants, shopping, easy transportation) of being in the city, and that's exactly what we experienced. I loved the constant casual elegance I saw in the decor, the food, and the behavior of the staff. The employees were attentive, welcoming, and accommodating. When I told them I was learning Italian, they asked if I preferred they speak Italian so I could practice. They also organized a wine tasting tour for us which was the highlight of our 10 day trip.

I easily could have stayed another week!

We only had one night but it is a beautifully nestled high in the hill. I would recommend this hotel if you want rest and relaxation! Beautiful gardens and forest surround you so you have peaceful walks around the property. Food is delicious and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

The rooms are quite large, but the carpet is old and dirty, the bathroom was not prticlualry clean, and the facilities are subpar (pool is tiny and freezing with no place to sit and they have the cabanas shown online set up for restaurant service, which is great if you want four business men to watch you swim during their lunch; the gym is very small and minimal for a hotel of this size; the other potential facilities are unavailable because of weddings). The service is also below what you'd expect for 5 stars as well. They won't even ask you if you'd like a drink at the pool and you have to chase down a waiter if you want anything. Overall the hotel is more equivalent to courtyard Marriott than the 5 star hotels you'd imagine (e.g., St Regis, Four Seasons, etc.).

Romantic villa getaway

Outside of the center of town but the shuttle makes up for this and transports you to a villa where you can imagine you are in an Italian movie strolling the grounds and absorbing the night sky and the view over Florence.

Breakfast is beautifully served and conceived. The shower with overhead rain nozzle is lovely.

Luxury bed & breakfast style outside the city

Upon arrival we were blown away with the stature of the hotel from the outside. The distance from Florence understandably is to allow for such a regional Tuscan setting, though it did impact our activities and overall experience. The hotel also felt a little more like a luxury bed and breakfast, and we would have rated our experience as 5 stars if this was our mentality going in (and what we were after to begin with). Renovations have no doubt vastly improved the quality of the building, but the lights were difficult to use and had intermittent issues. The room was also positioned above an area where cooking smoke could easily enter the room so had to be careful to always keep windows shut. The restaurant on site is nice, but once again has a very bed and breakfast feel as other guests not dining (or those being shown the building upon arrival) may wander through while you are dining. These small things break the experience and reduce the overall rating when the price is as high as it is. The quality of the food was also hit and miss, entree's were great but both mains we ordered were battered fish and tasted average. Room service food was actually superior overall to the restaurant.

Elegant luxury

We stayed at the Il Salviatino for eight nights. Super room on the third floor with lots of character and a great view on Tuscany flora and fauna. All mod com in a classical, elegant setting. Free and simple wifi system. Turndown service every night. The breakfast was elaborate and very tasty -- and the staff was totally happy to customize our requests. Soft-boiled eggs are soft-boiled, and well-done toast is well-done. Breathtaking views over Florence from the terrace. We sat in the sun and, if it was too cold, heaters were on hand to keep one comfortable. Some days we seemed the only guests in those quiet weeks before Christmas, but the attention of the staff and the quality of the food and drinks never lapsed. Truly a first-rate experience.

Perfect!

5-star all around. Every bit of the experience was outstanding. The pool, rooms, common areas - all exceeded our expectations. It was our (my wife and I) last stop on a trip to multiple cities in Italy. I wish we would have stayed there longer! The food was a bit pricey, but delicious. Overall, the hotel makes for an excellent place to relax!

We had only two nights at Il Salviatino and had it not been for coming to the end of our trip we would have stayed longer. The building is just breathtaking - so much character and beauty. The staff give real 5-star service - smart, helpful and really warm - happy to lend a hand with bookings as well. The grounds are just amazing. And the view of Florence cannot be missed. We'd definitely go back.

Comfortable luxury

Statyed for 5 nights and had an amazing time. On arrival we were met at the door by the hotel staff and checked in, all with a glass of Prosecco. The room was lovely and a good size, with a TV projecting from behind the large mirror. The bed was comfy and the shower amazing. The breakfasts were lovely, with a good selection and all cooked well. You were presented with a tray of several different things but could ask for anything else you wanted. The staff were very attentive throughout and we always there to help.

One thing to be careful with is that there is a tray in the room with bottles of water, coke, Pringles and nuts. There isn't a price list on it or anything mentioned in the material in the room, so we presumed they were complimentary...turns out they aren't. They aren't extortionately priced, but something to be aware of.

Lovey hotel with a fabulous view of Florence

We paid the price per night at this hotel for the location and to get the royal treatment during our stay.
The staff is amazing and did treat us very very well. The location is fabulous and the view breathtaking. Food was excellent as well.
My only issues were with the room. The water leaked from the bottom of the shower door and we had to stack towels to soak it up.
The hotel does not allow an ironing board in the room! and forces you to use their pressing service paying exorbitant prices.
Other than these the hotel itself is an amazing place. Living in a part of history.

Only 15 min. shuttle ride to city center, unique interior, sophisticated restaurant, breakfast over looking the beautiful city firenze. Everything was fantastic.

nice hotel in facilities but not satisfied with the housekeeping. There was a water bottle opened in a bar and they didn't clean the bathroom. very limited shuttle bus schedule. overpriced dinner. Overall, just okay to stay in but not superb.

Wonderful hotel close to central Florence

I have returned from Florence having spent 10 days at this hotel / I found the hotel itself to be wonderful and the staff equally great! The pool was a joy, breakfast a treat, but only minus was the restaurants own limited menu which was not changed during the period. However there are wonderful restaurants in Florence and the shuttle provided by the hotel made getting in to Central Florence very easy. We had the greenhouse suite which was excellent and beautiful gardens to relax in were a joy! I would not hestitate to recommend this hotel

A mansion on top of a hill overlooking a magnificent view of Florence, very helpful efficient and smiling staff. the hotel itself is a perfect mix of historical and contemporary decoration. Beautiful rooms and delightful grounds.
exquisite stay worth every penny spent. Always follow Nino's advice (the Concierge) for shopping and dining in Florence. Very relaxing and serene place in Florence

Beautiful hotel just 10 min ride from the centre of Florence! Situated on a hill in ancient villa with amazing gardens around!
Transfer to the city centre is free departing every hour. Rooms are spacious and cleen, friendly staff!

Excllence in everyting

Il Salviatino is a superb hotel excellence is its hallmark. A beautiful old chateau lovingly restored to its former glory plus all the modern extras discreetly installed, the plumbing and air conditioining were faultless. Rooms are large, very well decorated and appointed. The public rooms are very large for a hotel of this size. The restaurant is first class and dining on the terrace at sunset overlooking the Duomo and Uffizi in the distance is to be immersed in the very essence of Florence. We shall go again. The swimming pools are modern, one a 21 metre pool for swimming, asecond 15 metre pool and a childrens paddling area first class water quality and pool maintenance.

Our anniversary stay

Staff and facilities were all excellent there really is no more to add apart from a wish that the trees obstructing the view of the city could be severely reduced. The location is dreamy and romantic with access to the town being made easy by an excellent shuttle bus service.
