It’s little far from city centre but still okay if you are able walk for 2-3km. It’s a guest house and had a good stay.

The room was nice and big with high ceilings, beautiful terrazzo floor, big bathroom and window, nice lighting and generally very comfortable. The manager was extremely helpful. She spoke multiple languages. I was comfortable taking the bus to the city center sights. And appreciated the value of this nice place to stay at a very reasonable price. There was a wonderful caffe within 3 blocks and other conveniences closer. All the mattresses that I slept on in Italy in multiple cities have been more firm than I am use to, including this one.

It’s well located if you’re planning to do a parkrun in Mensola Parkrun. The parkrun was cancelled due to Tour de France. End up travelling to Lucca on Friday to do the parkrun on Saturday. It’s only 34 minutes walk to the city centre and10 minutes by bus. The room was cleaned and big enough. And there is a special treat for the guest staying at the back rooms. You just have to book this place to find out.

Period Style property worth visiting

The staff are super friendly, they explained all the rules and facilities very clear.

The room are tidy, clean and quiet.

Actually the location is a bit far from the train station, but bus can reach to the area.

So it is not the big deal.

The street won't noisy and you will feel safe, supermarket just one to two minutes walk,quite convenience.

This is a lovely traditional building and lovely decor. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The free hot drinks was a nice touch..but I don’t think the tiny plastic cups are appropriate for very hot drinks! Our room (the buttlerfly room) was very nice and great bathroom. However, we stayed on a Saturday night and the the outside noise was awful..people walking past, traffic, beeping from the crossing. The windows didn’t seem to block out any noise :( we ended up both sleeping with pillows over our heads. Not a good nights sleep..but it was otherwise a lovely place. The bus was easy to catch into Florence and also very close to station :)..I would stay here again and recommend to friends..but I’d ask for a room not located on the main road / pavement :)

Half the rooms are next to a main road

Positives - the hotel is very clean, the rooms are big, all staff were very helpful. The hotel is away from the city but the bus system is easy to navigate.
Negatives - half the rooms are next to a main road and on the same level as it. Even with ear plugs and sleeping pills this was an issue.

The entrance of the building is a piece of art. The hotel is decorated with a really good taste.The lady at the reception is very friendly and informative, always willing to help. The distance to the city centre is reasonable (20m walk or 15 by bus). The room is spacious and very clean. The bathroom is modern. There is a nice breakfast place one block form the hotel. We will definitely stay there if we are back in Florence.

We needed to drop our bags off during off hours and Tziana was very accommodating. She gave us a great map of the city and very clear directions on how to get downtown.

The bus stop was nearby (although it doesn’t run terribly frequently so plan plenty of buffer time to get downtown).

Very nice and quiet location and the rooms were beautiful!

Very pleasant location in Campo di Marte.

Conveniently placed room only accommodation of spacious proportions, several minute walk from the C di M rail station, then a 5 minute train ride (euro 1.5) direct to Florence SMN station. Breakfast at café across the road is good value at less than euro 4.5 for 2 x coffee & croissants. Pizzeria 2 minutes around the corner in the evening where a welcoming Marionne and staff serve a choice of tasty pizzas and pasta dishes, beers and wines for 30 to 40 euros for 2 persons.

Georgeous room and environment

After a 36 hour trip and arriving late at night the staff went out if their way to accommodate us. The property was beyond gorgeous and comfortable, from the beautiful room to the amazing artwork in the hallway, granite staircase, maybe marble, and beautiful garden. We would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Staff was very accommodating and kind. Our first room didn't have a/c as it was broken, not ideal as we were there in a heat wave, but the staff made arrangements for us to move for the rest of our stay. The location is quiet, which is hard to find in Florence these days. The trade off is the distance from the center. We lived in FLorence for many years, and had a car, so it was convenient for us. The bus stop is really close as well. All in all it was a very nice clean location and a nice retreat from the heat of the city.

The room was good for what we needed for two nights and near the train station for our next trip. It's about 45 mins walk to the main area and 10 mins by train.Taxi about €16. Would I stay in this place again? Yes it does the job and a good price too. If you don't like walking. Its local transport.

Beautiful.

The entire building was decorated with very good taste. All the rooms were spacious. The bathroom had special details like first class toiletries and towels.
Even though it is far from the city center, there are lots of public buses to take you everywhere.
Just 4 blocks from the hotel there is the most amazing cafe and bakery (yummy). One block from the train station, and the neighborhood in general is nice.
Tiziana, the lady who runs the hotel, is very nice and helps in everything possible. A great stay. If there is something that could be improved is having a microwave available. We recommend this hotel .

1 There were fixed times for check-in to suit the staff rather than guests.2. There was no hot water available in late afternoon for washing and until 8 AM the following morning. 3 There was no breakfast available at this 'hotel'. The receptionist said this was because The Hotel Palazzo Lombardo was a Guest House.
My short vacation in Florence was completely spoiled by these factors and would not recommend this 'hotel' at all. In almost 50 years of visiting this city this is the worst experience I have had. I would request that Venere.com pursue the information I have given. It is important that information supplied on your website is reliable.

Lovely little b&b and the staff are very friendly and helpful!! We didn't have the breakfast here at all but there's a lovely deli across the road that does authentic sandwiches and another that has lovely ice cream. Air conditioning was great as was the free wifi. The only downside was it was a 30 minute walk to the centre of the city but there is a bus available but we never used it. The place is well decorated and very clean and I would definitely stay again.

Great lodging while in Florence

I fell in love with Palazzo Lombardo when I first saw the pictures.
I will give a 5 stars to this BandB for the great staff, cleanlines, walking distance to great eateries and for easy access to public transportation.
Taking route 17 I was able to go to many places of interest in the city or go to Santa Maria Novella station and hoping to another bus.
I greatly enjoyed my stay at Palazzo Lombardo and highly recommend it to anyone. Great value.

Nice hotel in a great location within walking distance of the main attractions in Florence and the train station. The room was immaculate and the hotel was very grand including a marble stair case leading up to a grand entrance, beautifully decorated rooms and parquet floors. The bed and pillows were great and the hotel is very secure.

This b&b is run by a sweet family. Ready to help at all times with anything and super nice. They were glad to give us all the information about the city, how to get to everywhere and were very nice in general. The rooms are beautiful and very clean and have everything needed. Nice brakfast with fresh food and planty of choice. Will defenatly stay here again :)

It’s a nice building with history, maintained in a decent condition. Room is facing the street, so can be noisy from people on the st and entering into the building through front door. In the morning, the bus and car will wake you up early.
Host is nice and friendly, offers free biscuits and hot drinks.

Parcheggio non riservato e per strada. Struttura non manutenzionata. Letto non comodo senza topper e con materasso a molle avvallato. Il bagno era arrangiato e costruito in un secondo momento in mezzo alla stanza con aerazione e illuminazione insufficiente. Rapporto qualità prezzo non proporzionato. In foto sembra una struttura con livello più alto. Da non dormirci per più di una notte.

🇲🇽 La atención en recepción fue excelente, muy amable adicional nos ayudó con indicaciones para tomar un autobus, la ubicación es perfecta, el tren está a 5 min caminando y el autobús pasa enfrente del hotel. Lo único malo es que hay escasos lugares para comer y todo está cerrado empezando las 9pm, pero es un detalle menor y las habitaciones o puertas son un poco viejas, pero nada malo, Yo me quedaría aquí de nuevo. si sabes usar el transporte como tren y autobús fácilmente está es una buena opción agregó que la zona es muy tranquila y segura.

Accueil parfait, nous avons meme pu deposer nos bagages tres tot. Meme si il n' y a pas de petit dejeuner, cafetière et thé de qualité ainsi qu'une genereuse sélection de gateaux, ciennoiseries et biscuits emballés sont disponibles gratuitement. L appartement est à 2 pas dune gare de train et de 4 lignes de bus. Compter 15 à 20 minutes pour le centre historique.

it’s a lovely place with high ceilings and rather big rooms but i had the bad luck of arriving in the pooring rain and there was no public transport since it was the 1th of may so ended up having to wait for a taxi for over an hour.

Cuando llegamos, la habitación estaba llenísima de mosquitos. No un par de ellos, no. Decenas. Hemos terminado acribillados a picaduras, lo que resulta molesto no solo durante la estancia sino varios días después también.

Es cierto que la zona de la Toscana es muy húmeda y por eso hay muchos mosquitos. Creo que por esta razón deberían tomar medidas para que no se llenen las habitaciones de ellos, por ejemplo utilizando repelentes. Este fue el principal problema durante la estancia y el que nos impidió disfrutar del hotel.

La struttura da un punto di vista architettonico è molto bella e interessante. E' situata nelle più che immediate vicinanza del Nelson Mandela Forum e dello stadio di Firenze Artemio Franchi.
La stanza che ci è toccata in sorte ha presentato tuttavia due problemi rilevanti di cu uno era già noto alla gestione.
Il problema noto, di cui siamo stati avvisati al momento dell'arrivo, era un guasto del sistema di controllo della temperatura dei sistema di climatizzazione. Il problema riguardava -a detta della gestione- esclusivamente la temperatura dell bagno (sostanzialmente simile ad una sauna svedese) ma questo avrebbe anche potuto avere i suoi vantaggi e quindi la cosa non ci ha preoccupati. Il secondo problema, probabilmente legato al primo, è stato rappresentato da un fastidiosissimo rumore di fondo costante e media frequenza (simile per intenderci a quello del motore di un frigorifero 'professionale') che non si è mai interrotto durante la notte, con la conseguente concreta impossibilità di dormire in maniera soddisfacente.
La gestione dell'hotel quando avvisata (nello steso pomeriggio dell'arrivo) si è dimostrata stupita che nessuno prima di noi avesse riscontrato il problema (di intensità tale da essere registrato -per intenderci- da un normale smart-phone). Sinceramente ci saremmo aspettati un qualche intervento ma invece nessuna azione è intervenuta.
In definitiva, una guest house con grande potenzialità ma da non consigliare in questa situazione.
