Our car was in parking inside the hotel gate. Monitored 24/7. Apparently. We went downtown on foot on the second day of our stay, and when we went to leave on day 3 the driver door wouldn't open. After using the physical key and fighting with the lock, we were able to open the door. It was clearly tampered with, and without pointing fingers there is a very short list of possible culprits.
The housekeeping staff also uses a strong bleach solution to clean the bathrooms including the tile walls. Unfortunately a pair of black pants that was hanging to dry was stained by the bleach and ruined. We notified the front desk on checkout but they didn't seem to care.
The room had no screens so the window we had to open for cool air at night let in mosquitoes that were ferocious.
Overall not somewhere we could recommend. The breakfast was on par with the rest of the experience.
The redeeming quality was the location, namely the proximity to the German style gastro pub down the block. That place was 12/10, and gave both of the stars in the rating.

Noisy room. I got a room directly behind the reception desk. So I heard phone ringing, guests checking in and out, and all sorts of typical lobby activities. Also, the hotel is close to one of the main rooms so emergency vehicle sirens are also added to the sound track.

Good hotel, excellent front desk staff

Comfortable room, although a little rough around the edges (wall paper coming off, bud ride or 30 minute walk from main square etc) Nice continental breakfast catering to gluten and dairy free. Extremely helpful front desk.

Our Florence Trip

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff, the breakfast staff were very good. The breakfast was filling with lots of choice for a continental breakfast. The only issue was that the air-conditioning wasnt able to be put on cold or below 22 degrees, making the room warm to sleep in. Leaving windows open didnt help because of noise from the traffic whilst trying to sleep.

Good hotel located a straight forward 15 - 20 min walk from the Center of Florence (The Dome). Nice quite location and felt safe to walk around outside late in the evening.

It was value for money and prefable to Hotels located closer in the center, since it ensured we were far away enough from the large daily crowds (we visited Mid September).

It was nice and quite during our stay, I would recommend it to others.

Staff was outstanding. Helpful and cheerful in every way. Rooms were clean with a very nice bathroom. The breakfast service was especially nice with lots of fruit, cheese, and sweets. If you want a big “American Breakfast”, you may not be happy, but if you want variety of fruit, juice, cheese, Italian meat, and sweets - this is the place. You can even have Mimosa if that’s your thing! Location is great too - quite street within walking distance of everything in old town COMO. Recommended.

I found this hotel to be mediocre at best. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet was nice as well. Rooms were clean and presentable but small. Beds were very uncomfortable and unfortunately we had some sort of hotel function happening downstairs that kept us from sleeping for some time. I went down to the front desk to as if there was something they could do about it, they said they would but the noise did not improve. Did not get a good nights rest at this hotel.

Super tiny rooms , they provided a hot water pot but no coffee cups , we had to ask for them each day , the maid then took them away and didn’t replace them .. had to ask for them again , always given them but with a hint of annoying them .
Location is nice , bus stops close by or can walk to the museums . Next time will just bring our own coffee cups !

Good accommodations in Florence

We were looking for a reasonably priced location in Florence. The Diana Park Hotel met our expectations. The Staff were very courteous and helpful with all our requests. They helped us choose and book 2 group tours and were very helpful with suggestions on days when we were touring on our own. Staff are on duty 24/7. Neighborhood is safe.

The hotel has discounted municipal bus tickets that make it easier to get around. Breakfast had extensive selection and was very good. The staff was very flexible and did whatever they could to satisfy our requests. Rooms are adequate and clean.

A good base for visiting Florence

Four nights in late September. The hotel is well located on the outer edge of the city centre, easy to find. Well away from the city centre hordes. We walked (15 mins) from Campo Di Marte station. If arriving from the airport or main railway station probably better initially by taxi. Limited onsite carparking, but large public carpark immediately opposite. Hotel bright, modern, clean inside. Reasonable quiet inside and little intrusion from outside sources. Staff cheery and helpful. Breakfast only, ' continental style' and good. Several decent eateries within a short walk..... Try Alfredo ( more local cantina) or Perseus ( atmospheric osteria) on the road into Piazza Libertad, and the busy beer bar about a 100 m down the street strait in front on the hotel

Getting to know the bus routes to and from town centre is key to enjoying this hotel. The 12, right outside, takes you to the centre but not back from there. It will also take you on to Piazale Michelangelo .... essential viewing ! The C1 brings you back from the centre to the hotel and several others to the Piazza Libertad which is just 5 minutes walk away.

The Hotel was very nice and we would stay again if we go back. It is a little distant from the center of Florence but the easiness of shuttle buses make it quite accessible. The staff was friendly and helpful in providing directions and making us feel at comfortable. I give the hotel a plus in all cathegories.

This is a former palace converted to a motel set 3 blocks east of the Piazza della Liberte. It will be inconvenient to most visitors desiring to be near the centro storico but good if you have a car to park. The #12 bus leaves from the door and goes downtown and loops Florence as a tour bus. Many other bus options are on nearby streets. Buy a single ticket at the reception or multiple ride tickets at the kiosk outside SMN train station. Otherwise, it's about a 30 minute walk to the center of Florence. You might cut a couple of minutes trying to walk a straight line to your desired destination. Hotel has a limited choice buffet breakfast where you must order anything other than drip coffee. There is wi-fi available as well as the daily local journals. In -room mini-bar, safe, TV with CNN, dedicated US and Canada phone, and pulsating shower. Corridors are maze-like with motion detected lights. Some nearby restaurants (try Perseus) and Piazza behind hotel under railway.

Great little Hotel

Diana Park Hotel was one of our best experiences with the six hotels we stayed in while in Italy. The room was especially nice. The staff was wonderful. They communicated well in English. They had great suggestions for dinner close by. Breakfast was excellent. Bus just outside door. We highly recommend.

Clean Hotel a little distance from the Tourist Center

I was surprised at how clean of the hotel was! It had some nice features like central air, a safe box, delicious breakfast and high-tech shower. The staff was very helpful and told us of the bus schedules and gave us suggestions for things to do in Florence. The only downfall was that the location was about a 15-minute walk from the center of Florence. But- what is Europe for if not walking? I thought the hotel was well worth the price and was very pleased at my stay.

Um dos itens que coloquei ao filtrar a reserva , foi o estacionamento. E ete hotel foi apontado como tendo estacionamento. Mas ao chegar lá, o funcionario da recepção, sem muita empatia, me disse que não tinha. Que tinha um estacionamento pago.

Hotel a ser melhorado

O quarto que nos colocaram a água do chuveiro não esquentava. Pedi ajuda ao recepcionista que primeiro não acreditou e pediu para eu deixar o chuveiro aberto por 5 minutos, algo que eu disse que já havia feito( detalhe era 9 da noite e eu e minha filha, criança, estávamos exaustas de andar o dia todo pela cidade). Óbvio que não deu certo, estão ele foi até nosso quarto para conferir e então tivemos que mudar de quarto. O quarto que nos colocaram é de frente para a rua, então, logo pela manhã o barulho de carros e pessoas chegando( porta em frente ao hall da recepção).
Estou viajando pela Europa há 11 dias, essa foi a pior estadia e a mais cara.
Além disso, no café da manhã não repuseram os ovos mexidos, então, não conseguimos comer.
