I loved our stay in the hotel, me and my daughter and husband stayed 2 nights. Everyone was really friendly especially Antonella she was amazing and one of the other ladies in the reception that helped us with some tourist attraction to visit!
The rooms was great, very clean. The breakfast was amazing!

Good Place at a convenient location

The hotel is very clean and well kept. Their rooms are big and bathroom is very clean.
The location is very close to Galleria but you might need to walk a bit if you want to reach the other parts like Uffizi and Boboli Gardens. But that was okay for us as there were quiet a few bus services and nearby stops.
The staff is nice and helpful too.
Some issues we had which led me to give lower rating -
There were mosquitoes in the room, luckily they were only one or too and we kept pur windows shut so we were able to deal with it. The room has no means of ventilation, the AC was in heat mode and there was ni control when it was too hot for us we couldn’t open windows as it would have led to more mosquitoes entering the room.
But its overall a good place if you want to spend a night or too

Had a wonderful long weekend (3 night) stay here. It's a short, easy walk from the main tourist strip so simple to get around Florence by foot. It's also easy to get to from the airport with tram and bus to just a few blocks away.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The room (single room) was spacious with comfortable bed, good shower and all you need for a short break. I ate in the restaurant the first night - it's not the best space, but the food was AMAZING (beef that melted in your mouth) and the cocktail even more so. The bartender is fabulous - the service, knowledge and chat you expect from a five-star hotel in the middle of London or New York.

The last night I ate at a nearby local restaurant - there are plenty of choices if you're willing to be adventurous and not looking for a 'tourist trap' restaurant but something more authentic and traditional.

If you're looking for fancy luxury hotel, this isn't the place for you. But if you want a comfortable stay, in a clean hotel with friendly staff, and in an area that is away from the chaos of too many tourists but still easy to get around from, at a great price, this is a wonderful choice. I would definitely stay here again.

Great little bar and bar area with an amazing bar tender who will give a master class on Italian alcohol. Breakfast was good. Staff was all very friendly.
Street parking in the blue lines is the only parking, which we found a spot a few blocks down. Not a lot of retail or restaurants in the immediate area, which we were fine with as we had a car. Quiet at night. A good night of sleep.

First when I entered the room there were no curtains on the windows. The outside doors leading out to the balcony did not open. The storm shutters had no way to hold them open. The common areas were ok. As for the room the bed was awful and placed length wise against the wall and made up with cheap linen. The Wi-Fi worked for my first few hours in the room then stopped working for the rest of my 4 or 5 day stay.. I never do reviews but this had to be said

Lovely little hotel in a quiet area of Firenze.
Supermarket few metres away.
Bus stop nearby and few restaurants around.
Breakfast is not much in variety but enough to get by and start your day.
Nice bed, pillows and storage facility.
If you want a taxi, best thing to do is ask the reception.
And remember reception closes at 8pm.
Mark was excellent always trying to help as much as possible and also the lady receptionist (sorry I forgot to ask her name)
Overall positive hotel.

The owner ( Gentleman) in the office, was very helpful. The lady helping with the breakfast looked very annoyed all the time. The beds, pillows and mattress were terrible. The sheets felt like paper;(
The room and the bathroom smelled like a very strong urine. I can still smell it! So gross. The free breakfast was not very good. It was free, I guess!!

My friend and I were quite underwhelmed when we first entered our room. I had booked a triple room but there were no sheets or pillows on the twin bed, only two pillows on the queen bed. There were no batteries in the safe and the plug on the electric kettle did not match the outlet on the wall. There were also a few stains on the duvet and mattress cover. Of course all these issues were resolved when I brought them to the front desk person’s attention the next morning, however, they did cause a bad first impression.

The stay was decent but very inconvenient if you wanted to go anywhere. Taxi service would not go to the hotel unless you reserved your taxi the day before. The hotel was nice and clean, the staff was pleasant but the only downfall was the limited public transportation in the area.

It’s a small hotel, family-operated and owned who were all magnificent. We checked in really late and who I believe was the head of the family was very helpful and even saved me money on parking. The room was small, but very cozy and clean. It also had all the major amenities that most been g hotel have. We missed breakfast time the following, but the lady still let us have a small breakfast and a few capuchinos.

This hotel is a great place to stay in Florence, the room was just the right size for 2 people and super clean. The gentleman on reception was lovely and very accommodating. Breakfast in the morning was your standard continental breakfast, but tasty all the same. The hotel is a little walk away from the city centre - around 20 min walk but this didn’t bother us at all the streets felt very safe, even at nighttime. I would recommend staying here to any friends or family visiting Florence.

The bedding was dirty and there were lots of hair on the floor,the shower door was broken. We faced a very unpleasant situation with the parking. At the beginning they said that they don't have any area where we can park the car,and informed us to park on the public parking area. When we went to let our laggages another person from staff informed us that we can park in their inner yard by free. When we leave the hotel they asked us to pay taxes for parking for each day. The staff was rude, definetedly not client oriented ,I don't recommend this location.

Astro Mediceo is an ancient Villa converted into this beautiful, artistic, cosy hotel. I really enjoyed my night and breakfast (unfortunately I booked just 1 night for me and my boyfriend). The hotel is central - 15 min walk to Palazzo Vecchio or less than 10 min by bus. We arrived by car from Pisa where we landed, the hotel has a parking where you can safely leave the car during your stay and the day of your check-out, if you want to have a tour of Firenze. The staff is extremely nice and helpful, always ready to help with directions and suggestions. Very tidy and I would definitely recommend

I barely heard the neighbouring railway tracks during our stay. It was quiet and had everything we needed for our holiday.

Amazing hotel

Amazing hotel, not much more the 20minutes walk to any of the main sights. Beautiful small room for a solo traveller with plenty of amenities and a few welcome gifts thrown in as well.

My room also had a balcony which was perfect to sit out on and relax on after a hard day of sightseeing.

I would definitely stay here again as the staff were so helpful at all times, going above and beyond at any chance

The room was large and breakfast was great. The only issue we had was with the mosquitos. The floor heating was on and we couldn't turn the ac on so we opened the windows but that let in several mosquitoes. Needless to say our first night was miserable but by the second night the ac was on and we could finally sleep. The hotel is a bit of a walk to tourist spots but not far from a great restaurant. Ask the front desk they can help you find it.

In the Le Cure district away from old centre but handy to bus routes or longer walk to old centre. Elegant classical building with very tasteful contemporary finishes. Modern bathroom with good shower etc. Super clean. Well run. Apparently restaurant is good but didn't eat there except for classic Italian breakfast in airy, modern breakfast room. Will be back.

Lovely, stylish boutique hotel. It is a 20-30 minute walk from the Doumo but outside the ZTL zone so it's possible to drive there. If you have a car in Florence you have to accept that you can't opt for a central hotel. That said, it's a stone's throw from the Accademia and not far from the Mercato Centrale either and the walk right into the centre was a pleasant one.

All the staff were welcoming and supremely helpful, the breakfast was typical european style, varied and the cakes/pastries were slightly different each day. A delicious selection all in all.

This hotel is truly excellent value for money. It is not a five star hotel and if you are looking for that level of amenity then you will need to spend more. But what it does offer is a chic, boutique experience just on the edge of Florence's city centre.

Convenient quiet hotel

This hotel is within walking walking distance of historic Florence so it was ideally located for our holiday. It's on the outer edge of the historic area so we avoid all the crowds of tourists that you find in the actual city centre. The hotel room was large & roomy so that added to our comfort since there were 3 of us in the room. A delicious free breakfast was provided in the mornings and, in the evenings, full-service restaurant service was available. Parking is tight in the backyard but it is in a gated area so that assures us of security. The keys are left with the staff at the front desk in case cars need to be moved around to accommodate other hotel guests. All in all, I loved Florence. I was happy with our stay & don't regret the booking.

This is a small family run hotel which is located within easy walking distance of all the main sights of Florence. The rooms are very quiet when the double glazed windows are shut, the free wifi was very fast and the daily breakfast was simple but very enjoyable. They also bend over backwards to cater for special diets like vegans, vegetarians and gluten free which was great for us.

We stayed at the Hotel Astro Mediceo for a week. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is small but lovely, and the room was clean with an excellent shower (not something one often finds in European hotels). We rented a car so that we could tour Tuscany, and the hotel has parking available which is a big plus in Florence. It has a lovely backyard area for an aperitif, and our room had a balcony, which felt very Italian. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the Duomo, but we always enjoyed it. You pass many cafes on the way.

The hotel location is not "great", it is a good 15 min walk from the Duomo and there is not a lot around the hotel. However the hotel is really clean, the room are spacious, the bathrooms are big and they are very clean as well. The Breakfast has a good variety which is not very common.

The hotel is also about a 5-10 min (about 15 euros) cab ride from either train stations.

There is a very good restaurant on piazza San Marco, Focacceria San Marco, next to the university which is located right in between the the hotel and the Duomo. We ate there the two nights we were in Florence.

Hotel is located about 10 minutes walk away from Duomo and the old city of Florence. It's a nice walk through mostly residential areas with tasty local restaurants, bars and patisseries. The room was very small but comfortable and clean with secure off street parking that was only 15€ per day. Staff very helpful with booking tours/tickets and navigating public transport tips.
