First issue is mould in the bathroom, it’s simply not safe. The main issue was the a/c didn’t work I wasn’t able to sleep much at all. There’s no front desk at night so I messaged but after back and forth the building had switched to heaters due to the time of year and didn’t expect a warm week. The room actually heated instead of cooled. It wasn’t comfortable at all. The hotel manager simply told receptionist to ask me to write a complaint than speak to me. Forgetting the shower door was broken, in summary avoid this place.

A break from the busy historic sites made our stay at the Cloris so wonderful. Gabriele was very helpful. His advice got us started on taking the public bus to offset the bit of extra distance from top sites. A kitchenette and a grocery store 5 minutes away was very convenient. The room was lovely. We stayed May 11 -20, 2025. I highly recommend this hotel as a place to decompress from busy sight seeing.

This was a wonderful place for us! Very clean and well appointed room. The property was beautiful and our host very kind and helpful. His suggestions for restaurants and activities were great! It’s a little bit away from the central tourist area near the Duomo (30 minute walk and roughly 20 minutes on bus…. You can walk more directly than the bus route). But there’s a nice local market, a supermarket, good restaurants and stadium in close walking distance. Take in a soccer game! The only downside is it’s on a busy road and our room faced that, so we needed earplugs to sleep. The rooms facing the courtyard garden are probably much quieter. All in all a pleasant stay.

Our room was fantastic! It was large enough for each of us to unpack easily, and the bathroom was the largest we had during our 10 day trip. The shower was generously sized. Window had a nice view of the interior courtyard, and it was very quiet.
I gave this a 4 and not a 5 because it is quite far from the touristy areas of Florence. If you don't mind that, then stay here!

This is a lovely old home with a beautiful foyer and back garden. The \"front desk\" is only monitored in the morning so guests are pretty much on their own. The room was spacious. The windows are incredibly sound proof and I know this because we slept with the windows open our first night (not realizing we had air conditioning in the room) and the traffic noise was roaring in the morning. When I got up and shut the windows, it was remarkable the quiet!

It was a bit of a walk to the Duomo and other historic spots but not too bad. We were in Florence in 35 degree heat - if the spring and fall, those walks would have been much more enjoyable.

This felt like a residential neighborhood which we enjoyed but not too much action in the immediate area.

All in all a lovely place to stay.

ps - we had a car and were able to park in a safe lot around the corner from the hotel for 15 euros/night.

This was an amazing find. The property is wonderful. We were there 5 nights, my son and family 2 nights and another son and children one night! Rooms were great, the courtyard very pretty-we used it every night! The location is quiet but still has walkable spots for coffee, market, laundry,etc. We could walk to all the major sites in 20-25 min, taxis were also available. Gabriele, at the hotel, was extremely helpful and accomodating-we couldn’t have asked for a better host! This is a five star in my opinion!

The location was outstanding, walkable to all the sites, perfect spot. A nice bodega & bar right outside the courtyard as well as a Gelateria!
Unfortunately the apartment was not as nice as the pictures portray. The one air conditioning unit could not cool below 80 degrees even after a technician was sent. I even suggested 2 fans for the bedrooms would have helped a great deal. As it is a converted attic, the heat was very uncomfortable to say the least. There is only one window in the entire unit. The bathroom is very outdated, broken toilet seat, low water pressure. Difficult to shower without water on the floor. Kitchen was fine, but we didn’t use anything. Microwave and tv did not work. Bedrooms were adequate but doors have to be left open for any airflow at all. The stairs leading to the apartment, 3 different sets, with last being narrow, sloping stone steps with no handrails anywhere.
I’ve rented many properties and this, by far, was the most disappointing. With only a small amount of money it could be made so much more comfortable and appealing.

Stayed 3 nights while in Florence and absolutely loved Relais La Corte di Cloris.

Staff were friendly and helpful, about a 15 minute walk from main city attractions.

The room was very clean, bed and pillows comfortable. The only downside was that our room was next to a rather busy street and we could hear traffic until around 23:00. Still managed to get some good sleep.

Overall, 7/10. Check in was quick and very communicative with all the necessary info you will need. Bed was ok, pillows were a little soft. The biggest downsides where: a) the bathroom had a urine smell. When I inquired about this, I was told that since it was raining the pipes are a little old and don't always work. I was given a spray to help \"freshen\" things up. The spray did work, but I had to reapply twice a day. b) Shower is VERY tight. The entrance to the shower in my room was about half a foot away from the toilet - not the most pleasant experience. I enjoyed the service, but will not stay again.
The city center is also fairly far away - about 20min by foot.

I’ll start with the good: the areas around the hotel were all walkable for us, which made it very easy for us to get to our tour locations on time. The kitchen was a huge help as we made our own meals often.

The bad: Their air conditioning did not work despite us asking for a fix, they never followed up with us, they just said they would fix it and they never did. The area around the hotel is very noisy as it is a hustle and bustle area of Florence. They planned to charge us if we wanted our sheets, towels, or anything of that matter replaced in our four night stay (you would usually assume that hotels provide daily cleaning and swap out of towels, etc.). They also planned to charge us for the cleaning of the kitchen area, despite not asking us if we would be open to cleaning it for them (they just came in and cleaned it without consultation). There is also no front reception service for half the day, so it would make it very difficult to access them if, somehow, you were locked out of your room (thankfully we were not).

Overall, this was an average stay and I do not think I would recommend. However, if you’re looking for a great location to get around the city easily and are ok with extra expenses, this might be your place. Enjoy your travels.

This was a nice gem of a hotel. Armando works the front desk he checked in and out and was awesome. They have a lovely courtyard in the back which my husband loved sitting in each morning listening to birds.

It’s a little far to the train station but if you knew the public transportation it would be easy no problem. Everything was close to walk to. We took a taxi close 15-20€ they have a lot of one way streets.

It’s an older hotel but it’s clean, linens good but could be better. However we still would recommend this. And give it 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Go enjoy!

Overall really enjoyed my stay here. But if you aren’t used to walking this place is a good walk away from downtown (30 min or so) bus rides are best and downloading the app is easiest. But if you walk you get to see so much of the city doing so.

Loved the little garden and extremely roomy space I stayed. The guy at the desk was very friendly and let me pay my city tax a day early so I could leave to catch my train the next early morning.

Only gripes was the wifi seemed finicky and would be difficult to connect to, and the floor in my room was a little dirty. Also no screens on the windows and there are mosquitoes and they are mean.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We also found the location great as there was a supermarket, pharmacy and restaurants at walking distance and even when taking a taxi, the rides were under 30 minutes. Only thing I had never experienced before is that there is a charge for cleaning the room, changing towels daily and cleaning the kitchen (which we did not use) but since we were there for only two nights, we did without these services. Other than that, everything was great!

A little hidden gem! The hotel was super clean and we had no issues with the late check in. We also used the parking with in and out privileges. The hotel has a wonderful backyard that you can use, which is wonderful during nice weather. 20 minutes walk to the Cathedral, so don’t bother with the buses. The only downside is that soundproof rooms cannot be guaranteed, and we had some noisy neighbors that enjoyed long talks during the night. Would recommend it for everyone!

Staff is nice and helpful, reception is open till noon. There is a sunny yard to have your morning coffee. Coffee machine in the reception area. Breakfast was a tray of sweetse, etc. in the room but we opted out as were out for breakfast in town. Our room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the street which can be busy at times. It is a bit noisy at night so if you are a light sleeper you may need earplugs. Room was spacious and beautifully decorated, even had a little kitchen although we didn't use it. The only thing it could benefit from is some soundproofing to reduce street noise and such from neighbouring rooms. Hotel is about 15-20 min walking to the centre.

The hotel was nice but didn't quite seem as nice as what I had seen in the pictures. It was clean, though my hand towels were not changed every day even though they looked a bit dirty. Staff was kind and warm but they their shift ended at 3:00 pm so after that there was no one at the front desk.
Breakfast was placed in the bedroom but every bread or biscuit came in a package and the juice was bottled. This was not the kind of breakfast I expected.
About 20 minute walk from the Duomo which was fine for us.

The room and hotel are very nice it is within walking distance of about 15 minutes to center Florence in a residential neighborhood. Be careful about arrival times and to inform the hotel because the hotel desk is only on duty until 3 pm and you need to have a code to get into the hotel. They will give it to you in advance if you are in touch with them.

No staff after 3pm. Will be in trouble if losing a key and no phone to call a staff. Visit a small bakery/cafe for breakfast. Quiet location. Many bus and train stations are located nearby. Safer than Roma Terminal area. You can find better restaurant at cheaper price.

The hotel is clean, cosy and nice. Rooms are big and clean. Staff are nice and helpful but there is no reseptionist after 3 pm untill next day 8 in the morning so if you need anything there is no one to take care of it but there's an emergency number which we tried to call once from hotel room but didn't go through. We stayed 3 nights, towels just provide the first day with no replacement on days 2 and 3. Soap & shampoo were just provided the first day with no replacement for days after.
The location is ok, you can walk to the attractions as Florence is not a big city.
