Room furniture was falling apart, chairs were broken. There was a checklist of items they wanted you to take note of upon check in (some items were missing and they made note but not replaced). Fridges were dirty and broken. Shower head was broken and had to be replaced three times before it was fixed. Mold was in the rooms, beds are hard. Jet Tub in room did not appear clean so it was not used. Towels were not readily available. Request for extra blankets had to be made 2 days in a row before 1 of 2 requested was given. Food was poor temperature, same food was offered just about each day. Reservation process for restaurants was not feasible. There are many things that were wrong for the few things that were right to matter. The list is too long for me to continue, make the best of your stay if you book but don’t expect much. They property would be great if it was managed properly.

Clean room but updates needed.
Toilet seat was burnt, shower curtain rod barely attached to the wall.
Hot water was a rarity.
Only 2 water bottles restocked daily - more needed as your using them to brush your teeth. Other things in mini fridge not restocked.
Missing some things in room upon arrival - face clothes, cups.
Overall clean, food was good.
Dont go for the beach - lots of trash, murky water, no bar on the beach, no chairs.
Pools are good, a couple need painting.
Service varied.
Timeshare salesmen a constant in first couple days - so say no to the tour/breakfast (heard they use up to 6 hours of your time)
Spa services really good.
Hard to get ala carte reservations so do it asap.
Expedia rep super helpful and friendly.

The pools were very dirty and not cleaned the duration of my stay. I ended up with a urinary tract infection. As well, on the Wednesday of my stay I ended up with food poisoning from the buffet. This was awful. The amount of stairs needed to navigate to get anywhere was overwhelming and confusing. The beach was always dirty and I tripped on a rusty steel pipe that was sticking out of the sand. No mention if you have mobility issues about this anywhere. I will never stay here again!

We started out with being put in a room we did not pay for and it was dirty, full of mould, no water, no lock on the door, broken patio door glass, rv didn’t work, and things were missing in the room that the front desk gave a checklist to ensure everything was there and to report what was missing or we would get charged. They moved us to a different room which was a little bit better than the one we had however, the table lamp didn’t work, we had no water or hot water for the first day, the power kept shorting out, the pipe under our bathroom sink leaked water all over the floor if you turned the water pressure above medium pressure, the coffee maker leaked, the beds were hard and pillows were barely stuffed, our room service sucked, didn’t listen to our requests, we stayed for 9 days and I was sick in bed with a stomach bug I caught for 4 days, diarrhea and vomiting was not fun, we had no bottle water for two days after requesting for some, the guest services said they would fix the things we complained about but nothing was resolved. Most the food sucked, the drinks taste either really strong or like syrup, they cross contaminated their fruit with vegetables as I don’t believe onion flavoured papaya is an actual thing, they would take your towels and face clothes out of your room and replace it the next day if you didn’t notice it was gone. There were 62 stairs to our ground suite, no elevators and hills up and down at different distances to go anywhere. Overall aweful!

The rooms aren’t the best. It’s fine though since you arent in there much. If you get the yellow bracelet you don’t have much available to you. I had the blue and we were allowed at the VIP beach which is MUCH better than the Cofresi one. Alcohol is pretty good and buffet food it not bad. You are only allowed a certain amount of restaurant reservations depending on how long your stay is. For a week it’s 2-3. I’m guessing it’s more if you stay longer.

The Cofresí needs to be remodeled. It is older looking and the room did not have hot water or AC. In order to eat at any of the other restaurants other than the buffet you have to wait on a line from 9am-11am to see if there is any availability for reservations. The restaurants do not open daily and when you go they are not full to capacity. The system is very old and can use an upgrade. It is better to stay at Tropical.

Would call front desk & it would ring & ring only to be hung up on or lied to.
Telling us someone coming to bring water or extra towels to room with no one showing up.

When we ask for something at front desk it was always we will have to see.

Paid for WiFi that never worked.

An absolute disaster. We read all mixed reviews and decided it was worth a shot. There were leaking holes in the ceiling of the bathroom, with black mold coming out. No hot water. The maid took our towels. Finally got 1 towel 2 days later. Then the made came into our room and took it from my hands. Never replaced before we left. Pools closed at 5:45pm. The condition of our room were so awful I took my cold showers in shoes and never walked barefoot. Room keys stopped working multiple times causing us to miss the 1 dinner reservation we were “allowed” to have. We will never come back and highly recommend any other resort. Staff was less than friendly and my husband ended up with food poisoning.

Do NOT waste your money here! We booked here last minute when our Cuba trip was cancelled and it is not a 3.5-4 star as advertised. Half of our room amenities were missing and our phone did not work all week (despite asking 5 times to get someone to fix it and they said it would be fixed that day). They would take our dirty towels and not replace with clean ones or replace water, so everyday we had to walk to the lobby (up like 6 flights of stairs) to ask for them to be replaced. The bathroom ceiling constantly dripped on us and we always came back to a puddle in our bathroom. Warm water 1/2 the week, cold the other. The public bathrooms in and around the lobby were always flooded and disgusting because they didn’t flush. We’d have to walk back to our room if we needed to use the bathroom. We thought it might just have been our experience, but sure enough after talking to people, it was everyone’s experience. One lady didn’t have AC all week and asked everyday to be moved to another room without any luck. I could go on and on about this place. They did not seem to care about anyone’s concerns or want them coming back to this resort apparently. I feel like I need a vacation after a week spent there. You had to walk to the sister resorts for any good entertainment, beach and most à la carts.

We arrived on 3/1 The bathroom located in the lobby was disgusting. No paper towel/pee on floor/ one bathroom stall was overflowing with feces. The internet did not work even if you pay for it. The staff at the bar that serve you the drink are RUDE they looked annoyed makes you feel like you OWE them something. The only staff that seemed happy I would say with their job are the ladies at the buffet. They bring coffee to you and treat you with respect. Lastly, if you are planning to have a good time with family kids the kids pool area has a slide which is nice but other than that no. Skip this place.

La habitación olía muy fuerte a humedad, el aire no funcionaba, la habitación siempre estaba caliente, el supuesto transporte para dentro del hotel que debía pasar cada 25min, duraba hasta 1hora en pasar, la comida de pésima calidad y sazón nulo, las piscinas incompletas de agua y con un mal olor a orina incomparable, el personal muy lento y mal educado, no te dejan reservar en ningún hotel a la carta si no tienes más de 3 noches y te hacen ir varias veces al servicio al cliente antes de decírtelo, una experiencia terrible en general, no la recomiendo.

The food is bad, the service is bad, to go to the beach you have to take a shuttle provided by the hotel and it only comes every 25 minutes, the rooms are very run down and also have cockroaches and they discriminate against people who are Latino, and when it rains water gets into the rooms.

Our room door wouldn’t stay closed , I brung the attention to the front they had maintenance in my room for 2 days trying to fix the door. My stay was for 2 days so I had my passport and all my expensive belongings on me. Very strange horrible experience, also the transportation to get around the hotel was awful every 25 mins a shuttle comes by but u would see people gettin picked up privately cus they sneaked the workers 5usd . It’s just a money grab hotel with bad etiquette might aswell say it’s not all inclusive and pay for shuttles so people can know to bribe the shuttle workers. But yea horrible experience I would get another resort next time Forreal look for a resort that’s not so big or a resort that’s not packed with 3 other resorts it’s a headache to figure out. Especially if your going for a weekend.

My stay at this resort was the worst vacation experience I’ve ever had. We dealt with multiple toilet backups, water leaking across the bathroom floor, and mold in the shower. After reporting the issues, the room phone was disconnected, and we were forced to move rooms several times. There were no elevators or bellhops, so we had to carry our luggage across the resort and up multiple flights of stairs. At one point, we were made to wait six hours in the sun because they wouldn’t let us back into our original room, and then told we had to wait an additional two hours because they “had to give the key to someone else first.” Many amenities advertised as available were closed, including the swim‑up bar, and several features were restricted unless you were VIP. The pool closed at 6 PM, most restaurants closed at 11, and there was nothing to do afterward. Staff repeatedly offered food, champagne, or cheese plates instead of addressing the actual problems, and even lied to Expedia about a “Do Not Disturb” sign to avoid responsibility. This resort was full of false advertising, poor service, and unsafe conditions. I would not recommend it to anyone.

The only reason this even gets 1 star is solely for the restaurant, buffet, golf car drivers, and bar staff. They were wonderful, but for the rest of the staff-front desk people, the room, accommodations, they way they run the al cart restaurants, cleanliness, beach, n overall feel it is a 0-1 star.
I already wrote about the check in process and the nightmare that was, but once in the room there was no hot water, a drop for water pressure, and barley working air conditioning. The area we were in had a bad odor so sitting outside was unpleasant. Other than the people mentioned above, no one cared or wanted to help. I will never return and if anyone asks I will make sure they do not go to this hotel!
Getting reservations for dinner was a pure joke. If you showed up after 9 am, after waiting in a huge line, nothing was available. However when you show up for dinner the restaurants were, at the most, 50% filled with guests. Everyone we went to, passed, or stopped by to checkout the menu was never filled more than 50%. The only way to make a reservation was to stand in that line and waste you morning only to hear all the reservations were take-and then again when you checked it out at dinner time the restaurants were barley full. It was just dumb!
The beach was very stinky and filled with seaweed, even though hard workers worked all day trying to clear it, but the odor was the worst.
The food was marginal at best. Was very disappointed by that also.
Do not stay here!!!

It’s almost impossible to get restaurant reservations at a decent time. The room was nice and clean but very damp and musty, there was black mold in the shower and on my last night past of the shower ceiling fell in! The pool where the Frost bar is needs better filtration it was always dirty with bird poop. I got very sick after eating a hamburger at the snack bar near the beach and I heard many other people had the same experience with food poisoning from that snack bar. They need to replace broken chairs around the main pool I think half of them are broken. The food at the buffet isn’t hot , in the morning there was rarely bacon or yogurt, and you had to ask for it most of the time and even then I wasn’t always available. The hash browns weren’t cooked properly they tasted freezer burnt. There should be a disclaimer on this hotels page that warns about the stairs and hills as there are many many stairs !

Booked two rooms.Checked in and spent at least thirty minutes walking around aimlessly looking for my room. (Resort room layout is somewhat confusing) Asked multiple staff members who were as confused as I was...finally found it. Room was at a sub level with a foul smelling open sewage line next to the entry door. Door was hard to open (screws missing) instant foul smell in the room and the floor was wet from a recent mop.Dim lighting.Stains on the curtains & spots on the bedding. Concrete looking repair in the tub.Realized instantly I wouldn't stay in this room. Back to guest services and my family member from room two happened to be there complaining about actual black mold in his room.Was told no other rooms were available, but offered to replace bedding and reclean rooms. Requested a refund and was told no refunds at first.Provided videos and some photos to staff who assured us a refund. Reserved two other rooms at a neighboring resort. Stayed there instead. Returned home to find no record of refund being processed.

For some reason even though I’m a repeat customer I never seem to get the room in the buildings I request. I waited 3 hours after being told to come back at 6 and was told I’d get the room I wanted, instead I had to settle for what I think was a downgrade. They refused to move us saying the rooms I wanted were all booked. That was an obvious lie! The place was not that busy! I personally did not like the front desk attitude. Really like going there but have to rethink. Why can’t repeat customers be treated with a bit more consideration. The front desk last year was amazing, this year they were dismissive

The AC barely worked , every time you tried to adjust, it would reset the temperature to 22.5 C which was way too hot. The food was repetitive with the same menu every day and there was barely any music near the pools. The TV in the room was too small and had issues, the lamp was rusty and the room didn’t get cleaned because it was a single worker cleaning a whole floor. By the time she got to our room it was her time to work. Nice lady gave us water and fresh towels at least.
Overall beautiful property but it needs some work.

El aire acondicionado de mi habitación estaba dañado, bajo a 69 ya en nuestra ultima mañana. Esta queja se reporto en nuestra primera noche, llamamos 3 veces, y no mandaron a nadie. En la mañana siguiente fuimos a customer service y lo reportamos y pedimos una nueva habitación y no nos la dieron. Me canse de quejarme, gracias a Dios afuera la temperatura estaba fresca.

Algo mas, vinimos por 2 noches, en nuestra primera mañana fuimos a reservar el restaurante a la carta a las 9 am, y me dijeron \"oh, pero usted esta aqui solo por dos noches\", le dije \"si, y esta sera mi segunda noche, por lo que es mi dia completo aca\"... No me quisieron hacer la reservacion, que a mi que fuera a las 3pm a ver si habia alguna cancelacion....

Si usted no es socio/miembro NO VENGA, el mejor servicio aqui es para los V.I.P

El peor complejo es el Cofresi Palm Beach, nuestro edificio literal se esta cayendo en pedasos, filtraciones por todas partes, techos derumbados.

Yo reservé dos habitaciones por dos noches y tres días , cuando llegue las habitaciones no estaban listas, me dieron la habitación casi a las 4 pm , una de las habitaciones room tenía un mal olor a humedad horrible , mi habitación no tenía aire acondicionado, los cojines de decoración holian mal las sábana de las camas también se sentían húmedas y olor a mío , lo reporte inmediatamente llamé y me dijeron haremos un reporte, nada pasó ese día al día siguiente me levante temprano para hacer una reservación en uno de los 11 restaurantes que ofrecen y la persona que me atendió me dijo que no podría hacerme ninguna reservación por qué yo solo estoy ahí por dos noches y tres días , lo cual en ninguna parte dice que no puedo reservar, fui a recepción y le dije que no entiendo cómo es que no puedo reservar que nadie me dijo nada , y le dijo que necesitaba hablar con un gerente y me dijo que esa persona que me atendió era la gerente y que ella es que sabe. Me sentí discriminada no me arreglaron el problema de la habitación y tampoco pude hacer las actividades que ofrecieron cuando reservé el hotel, el dia dos cuando no aguanté más volví a resección a decirle que no me an resuelto con las habitaciones y a las 9:25 de la noche me cambiaron de habitación y estaba igual andamos con un niño nos quedamos para no salir a loquiar pero en la mañana a primera hora nos fuimos siento que tienen un servicio bien malo deberían renvolsar por qué nada de lo que se me ofreció se complio

My stay at Cofresi Palm Beach & Spa Resort was extremely disappointing due to the poor condition of the room and lack of resolution from staff.

The room had multiple serious issues:
•Broken shower (unable to take a normal shower)
•Broken window handles
•Broken door handle (safety concern)
•Broken drain/grill

I reported these problems multiple times and formally requested a room change. The staff acknowledged and accepted the request, but the room change never happened, and no effective solution was provided.
The last day of the trip Jennifer come to me and apologize and offer me a free night at the hotel she is really nice but the experience wasn’t

0% recommended—this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Check-in was a bad experience because the staff was unfriendly and unprofessional, and you should read everything before signing since WiFi is not free and you may get charged. The rooms are old, uncomfortable, and smelled like mold, plus they give you a checklist and will charge you if anything is missing even if it’s not your fault. We also saw big cockroaches, the thermostat didn’t work, there was no hot water, and the water pressure was terrible. The food was low quality and the buffet was disappointing, and valet/ride service takes forever to bring your car or give you a ride.

The staff and the food was great. However, the room was pretty old and run down. The telephone didn’t work, there were issues with the card to get into the room, and the toilet didn’t flush properly. Some of the pools were half empty and they were all extremely cold even though it was sunny and hot outside.

Nos correspondió una habitación sin agua caliente, cuando avisamos al área de servicio al cliente nos dijeron que habían tenido una avería (no lo sé Rick...). Por otra parte el buffet con bastantes deficiencias y poca variedad. Para rescatar, estuvo bien las cena en los restaurantes resevados y las piscinas en general. No lo recomiendo.

My wife and I enjoyed a lot.

Everything was good so far, the staff was amazing the food, the services me the timeframe response for any needs we had was solved very fast.

Would like to mention the amazing service of Andres ( in the main bar of the tropical pool), very attentive, polite and professional in his area.

From guest services ( Annel and Angelica Hernandez both they were the ones helping us with some little issues we had on the first day, action that increased a lot our experience).

We would definitely comeback.

The room was spacious and the atmosphere was very calm, making it a great place for families or for a relaxing getaway with a partner. The all-you-can-eat buffet offered a great variety of food, which we really enjoyed.The only downside was the quality of the drinks, which could definitely be improved. Also, while the pool area is nice, there aren’t many activities available beyond that, so the resort may feel limited if you’re looking for more to do;Overall, it’s a peaceful spot to unwind, but could benefit from better drinks and more activity options.
