The experience was great if you are a couple trying to have a relaxing stay go from monday to friday its less crowded and you can enjoy the amenities better. I recommend getting the spa treatment as soon as possible and when you book your room make sure you add how many people are going ahead of time because its a fee at the resort if there not added.

First we noticed in the room ac wasn’t cooling
Second the kitchen appliances were not working especially the fridge. The fridge was not cooling and it was leaking water all over the kitchen
Third the food gave us a food poisoning and we were throwing up and having diarrhea the whole three days we stood at the resort
And fourth everything was far away from the room which made it very inconvenient for us

I liked that the shuttle ran frequently, but needs better nightlife. There isn’t much to do at night. They try with low budget entertainment options, but there isn’t an area to dance. There is no nightclub and the casino is tiny.

I did not receive the room that was advertised. My room was supposed to include a kitchen and two beds. I received a room with a single bed and no kitchen. The property stated they gave me a single bed because I was alone and felt I didn't need two beds. They refused to give me the room I paid for. I also asked to be moved closer to the front because I was alone and my room was in the back of the property. It was very dark at night and I had to walk alone. They refused to move me. There were aspects I loved. The VIP Beach was great. Food was very good, as were the drinks. The general upkeep is very poor, with lots of minor repairs required. One main issue was the number of cockroaches we saw in our rooms. They told us the tour/presentation was not a sales event, but it clearly was.

The resort was nice, we didn't realize how big it was when we reserved. Presidential suites is very out of the way and this resort is huge. It was quiet, clean, the cleaning staff and service were excellent.

A problem we had was that the cold water in our shower didn't work, and took 3 days to address. The same for restocking our fridge (restocked half way in a week long stay, after requesting numerous times), staff CONSTANTLY calling in the morning. The resort is huge, and you will be walking to get anywhere. Keep that in mind when booking.

I paid extra for the king size bed suite in which they gave me 2 twin size beds. They told me I had to contact the property before booking with Expedia to see if the room was available.
The room didn’t feel like it had air conditioned. There was a thermostat but I doubt it was working, We had a ceiling fan but that would just spin at moderate speed so we did have hot nights. Right next to the fridge we had, we found an empty bottle of soda and a rolled up handkerchief which had food in it. The room was not cleaned properly. Aside from the cleanliness of the room, to open the door, you’d need a card key. The card would fail multiple times in which I had to keep going to reception to get a new one. There was an occasion where the door lock itself was the problem and they sent a tech to fix the lock. The people are nice but I felt everything was rushed. The resort is at 3 stars at best

Some restaurants were abit far and you had to take a shuttle to reach them . Other wise it was good . Parking was limited. It would be nice to ensure that non smokers were not close to those who smoke , as a no smoker I was not happy to smell the cigarette smoke from the neighbors. The Ac seems to be pulling the smoke from the neighboring room .

Stayed there for 5 days with my family. We had 4 rooms and had leaking celings in 3 and the 4th one balcony door was broken and the shower flooded the bathroom. Each day was something. Everything within the first 48 hrs of arriving. I went off the resort and came back to a tarantula in the stairs. They took 48 hrs to replenish the mini bar. It's like they had no care to handle any of out issues. I gontacted expedia and they wouldn't answer their call. Also all those pools and rooms are a big lie.

The room was located on the fifth floor with no access to elevator; My mom who’s in her 70s wasn’t able to walk back and forth by using a stairs. I booked a room for my mom and 15 year old boy, only one small bed was provide for 2 of them. When they requested for a room change it took almost 2 days to do so. The property was located 30 minutes away from the restaurants and beach, every day they were supposed to take a shuttle bus to get to the buffet and beach.

This was an all around horrible experience when I arrived the room i was given was not as described on the booking site . Needless to say my room was changed 4 times the shower in the room are horrible none of them worked properly we when two days without hot water .O yea the English is very limited the food was horrible!! And what’s worst you have to get a shuttle to all the other restaurants and buffets because this resort only has one buffet and it’s never open for dinner! The shuttle were always Jam Pack with people And the stuffle were in major need of upgrades and repairs!! Over all this was a horrible experience I would actually like some kind of compensation but I know that not going to happen . My worst trip ever !!

Upon arrival, I discovered that the air conditioning unit in my room was not working, making the room uncomfortably warm. In addition, the door to my room did not lock properly, which raised concerns about my safety. The water pressure in the shower was inconsistent and dropped significantly at times, making it difficult to enjoy a proper shower. Cuando llegamos allá fuimos tratados horribles por el personal del hotel y duramos más de 3 horas entre llamando a Servicio al cliente de Expidia y gerencia del hotel con actitudes horribles para nosotros y pidiéndonos retirarnos porque no teníamos ninguna reserva con ellos.

Conclusión aquí en República Dominicana es holiday weekend y todo esta Sold out.. este Resort lo que hicieron fue vender mi reserva que había hecho días y horas antes a otros huéspedes por un precio mayor, afectado a mi y mi familia, mi tiempo, mi dinero ( hacer 3 reservaciones para reubicárnos)
Esto es inaceptable!

Por sugerencia de Servicio al cliente de parte de Expidia la única solución que me presentan es hacer otra reserva para 3 personas en último momento donde el resort para esa hora para 3 huéspedes es de casi $1,000 dólares por noche y solo Expidia me da como solución $122.
Mientras tanto mi familia y yo estamos abandonados en puerto plata después de haber manejado 2 horas para ir a ese resort.

Absolutely an amazing experience. The resort is huge. Bring walking shoes. The room was lovely. We had 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a kitchen/living room. Balcony was huge! The buffet restaurants food was authentically Dominican. The other restaurants needed reservations which has to be made by 11am at the front desk. The staff were great! Everyone is extremely nice! The area around the resort is very rural & country.

I read a lot of reviews on this place before booking. I will say that I regret not booking Cofresi Beach Resort or the Lifestyle Beach Club hotel as they are both actually on the beach and have a better options than the Presidential Suites. That being said, I am not unhappy with my decision. We still had access to all of the other resorts in the Lifestyle compound. We had the option to walk or take the shuttle that between the hotels. Once we knew where we were going, though, we opted to walk as it was usually not too far and then we did not have to tip the driver. I would recommend that you take cash and get DR pesos (100 pesos is like $2 US) for tips for the bartenders and shuttle drivers. It is not required, but they do appreciate it and remember it...and give you better service. I know it should not be that way, but it is what it is. I will also say that I preferred the stay during the week rather than the weekend. It was a LOT less crowded and easier to enjoy the beaches, pools, bars and restaurants. I was a bit confused on the whole eating rules. We were told that we could only make reservations at the restaurants for two nights since we were not \"vacation club\" members (read timeshare without the maintenance fees and restrictions on travel dates). However, there was always two different buffets to choose from, but they served the same food in both places nightly. We did find the buffets decent, they have cooking stations where you could get cooked to order meals

We had booked the Presidential Suites but upon our arrival were \"upgraded\" to the Royal Suites. This was our first stay at the property and so i was not initially aware, but this was not an upgrade. The room was much smaller and shabbier. This took several hours to get resolved, and they were not able to move us back to the room we had initially booked until the next day.
That experience was relatively representative of our stay. The individual people who work at the resort are lovely, but the corporate entity is trying to milk people for all they are worth. Everything is about trying to sell real estate, or get people to buy \"upgrades.\"
Once we were in our correct room it was spacious and comfortable, and the beach is wide and very swimmable. The pool near our room was adults only however, the beach was littered with trash, and many of the restaurants are reserved for people who own timeshares, which had not been clear when booking. The beach was also a 10-15 minute walk, which was fine for us but would be tough if you were less mobile. The shuttle only came every ~25 minutes and was often full. Overall I would not recommend this hotel.

I wish that I never book this place , we pick two room Presidencial suits , front desk staff rude and bad services, I request extra clean towels the answers was how many people you have in your room? We don’t have any clean towels, them 2 hrs after they sent house. Keeper saying that she can dry the dirty ones that used to clean the floor . This hotel is beautiful but old. When we first arrived it was so exciting but soon turned into a nightmare. The room smelled like mold and they were able to move us. However, two days later our new room completely flooded (this happened to several other people as well). Our clothes were all soaked and they just came and mopped the room out for an hour. The water wasn’t even coming from the doors but rather the floor.

The food was mediocre and it was almost impossible to make reservations. They acted as if everything was booked yet you go to dinner and no one was there. It seems as they push people to eat the buffet which was not great and almost the same daily. Several days we ventured into puerto plata for great food, even though we were staying at an all inclusive.

Some staff were friendly but it wasn’t worth the trip. If you plan to stay I wouldn’t recommend more than two days.

There was little to no accommodations in regard to dinner, two of my family members rooms woke up to a flooded bedroom, the stoves didn’t work in any of our rooms, we found a cockroach on my uncles clothes in the bedroom, in order to go to eat anywhere you have to wait for the shuttle which takes about 25 min & if it’s packed you have to wait for the next one. The staff & service were a 0/10, very rude. And the overall I will never go back to this place or recommend it.

I regretted being there the very first day, we even left the hotel earlier.

ROOMS: We had two rooms (two couples celebrating honey moon)

One of the rooms with a jacuzzi and the water was coming out dirty (I took pictures)

The other room A/C was broken and it is so hot in DR.

The refrigerators had no thermostat (it was broken) and the drinks in the room were not even cooled.

There was no electricity like 4 times during the night.

Restaurants: they were ok… VERY limited options (even the ones with reservations)

Bar: TERRIBLE!! you could notice the liquor wasn’t the one you asked, and the cocktail were juices lol

STAFF: most of them were nice! Only complaint is the cleaning ladies they rushed us to give them the dirty towels… like we had to give them, no matter what we were doing…

Never again. The worst “all inclusive” resort ever.

This was my 7th time traveling to the Dominican Republic and this was my least relaxing and least enjoyable experience I have had at any all inclusive in the DR. The property boasts of how many restaurants, bars and beaches they have, however you quickly learn you are only allowed access to about 1/4 of the amenities if you are not a member. Very frustrating to be turned away time and time again because you are not allowed to dine at certain restaurants, cannot visit the Waffle House or get ice cream, can not enjoy many of the beach’s or pool areas.
Additionally we were constantly chased by staff trying to sell us something, from massages to excursions and memberships.
There was also ZERO hot water most days, we were able to take a warm shower on only 1 of the 7 days we stayed there.

This is our third time at the presidential suites. Silvio, the guy at the main bar is super nice and provides an amazing service. I liked the fact that I had different restaurant options. The pools are clean. My only horrible experience was the checking. The guy who checked us in was super rude and unprofessional. He did not explain things clearly. He made us feel as if we were bothering him. My husband wanted to leave the property but, I was able to convince him not to since we always have a great time here. Well, I think it would be our last time here at least for a couple of years.

We stayed 5 nights all inclusive package, $500/night 2 bedroom suite room. First 2 days no hot water, continual power outages leaking refrigerator took 3 days to have maintenace address.

Very deceptive marketing regarding food service and low quality food and beverages without any ability to upgrade choices. Inconvenient dinner reservation policy and failure to tell you that you are limited in the number of reservations based on the length of your stay. We stayed 5 night but only allowed to make 3 dinner reservations.
$500 US per night room and we had to pay $3 per day to use the room safe.

Property and management practices a true example of the saying \" You can't judge a book by its cover\" . Cover was beautiful but the pages were not worth reading.

This property has so much potential to be a 5 star resort! So many minor issues that can be fixed and make this place perfect.

First there was no hot water. Then there wasn’t any water at all. We reported it to maintenance and he agreed that there was an issue. He fixed the hot water issue then the following day there was no water. When traveling with a 11 month old warm to hot water is important to me. The toilet bowel had black tiny worms in it. The roof had dated tiles- almost like it has yellow stains or mold. The rest room vents smelled like feces.

This resort in particular had no handicap ramps. Which is insane ! It was all stairs. It’s so difficult for parents with strollers or wheel chair users. Thats a huge issue for me as well.

The cabanas by the main pool are filthy. You have to lay a towel down to lay on it. It seems like they never was the furniture covers. U can see the oil stains and food. Which is extremely gross.

Again these are minor issues that should be already fixed to make our experience a breeze. This place can be a 5 star resort!

Overall everyone was friendly and helpful. I’ve been to many resorts on the strips in Puerto plata and this resort had the best buffet food. The Chinese and Mexican restaurant was sooooo good. We didn’t have time to try the Italian one.

We had delightful stay besides the minor issues. Thank you.

Antes de seleccionar este hotel lei varias rese~as. Debo decir que no me equivoque al seleccionar quedarme aqui y experimentar mi primera visita a Rep. Dominicana en este Resort. La atencion de los empleados es excepcional. La comida es variada y si no desea comer en los buffet cuentan con restaurantes con menu a la carta, pero debe hacer su reservacion. La playas y facilidades estan en optimas condiciones. Todas las noches tienen un show, muy bueno y divertido. Este resort no cuenta con discotecas, algo en lo personal que me gusto, porque fui a descansar y pasarla bien con la familia. Algo que puede mejorar es que varios dias no contamos con agua caliente, el agua fria no la encontre tan mal, como se siente aqui en EU pero soportable igual que en PR. Tambien en el area de bar deberian contar con mas variedad de licores y variendad de tragos. Muy extrano que no contraran con licores reconocidos por el pais como el Brugal o el Leyenda. Otro punto es que al siguiente dia que llegamos nos invitaron a mostrarnos las facilidades, aceptamos con gusto pues nos indicaron que no tardaria mucho, pero no fue asi terminamos en una orientacion larguisima para ofrernos ser socios como un \"Time Share\" esto nos molesto o hasta nos incomodo porque el resort tiene mucho que ofrecer y el tiempo de la estadia, al menos el de nosotros era limitado. Por lo demas todo bien. Nos encanto! y de seguro volveremos ya que algunos empleados se convirtieron en familia de lo bien que nos trataron.

the resort is beautiful, different places to see and do, it doesn't seem like a resort to party at night, pool closes at 7, they close the beaches at 6, but staff was great, once u tip the right person they take care of u..
