One of the worst experiences I have ever been through, my room reservation was changed without informing me and they replaced it with a small room, I arrived with my family at 2 am because my plane was delayed and when I arrived I was surprised that my room was replaced with a smaller room and they forced me to put an extra bed in the room and I had no other choice because we were very tired. Also, my family and I were treated racistly, their treatment was very bad especially during breakfast and especially from the head of the kitchen, she was treating me racistly. When I left the hotel they forced me to pay 500 euros for the extra bed, they scammed me with all impudence and audacity, they charged me for changing the towels and bed covers because of my young children, it is impudence and fraud, I do not advise anyone to book in this bad hotel

Super hotel with friendly helpful staff. Conveniently located near Andel metro station and Na Knížecí bus/tram station giving access to all public transport routes. There was an amazing choice of food for breakfast and evening buffet, and could not fault the quality. We loved the high standard offered by this hotel chain but with a boutique feel! If I really wanted to be picky, the bed was a little firmer than I would have liked, but after all the sightseeing, brewery visits and lovely food, this did not impede a good night’s sleep!

WARNING: Check bill before leaving

No issues with room or check-in but upon checkout, we were informed that we will be paying for breakfast. To our surprise, no one ate breakfast or ordered it. We informed the staff this, and they would not believe us. The manager pulled the records of the restaurant and showed us our room number. However, the staff did not conduct room or identity checks to get breakfast. There were three of us and the restaurant only had records of one person. We asked them why would only one person eat and the secretary next to us not even helping us but rather with a different customer responded in a snarky way \"what if only one person wanted to eat\". This was not the case as we went to starbucks every morning. The manager hesitated a while and annoyed, she waved her hand at us and instructed her secretary to dismiss us and the charges, stating \"i’ll check the cameras\". This hotel has both a management problem and a security issue, if anyone can come in and get breakfast on someone else’s tab, and then get treated as criminals. The issue is not the breakfast itself, but the way that they handled the situation, as if we were liars.

Just an ordinary small hotel. Not sure why it has four star rating. If you need extra towels or blanket the staff would not bring it to you. I had to go down to the reception to bring the extra blanket for myself. I needed extras towels again I was asked to go to the reception. They don’t even provide bottle of water. No mini bar provided. But there is a small fridge and safe.

It is clean but would classify three star rating. Location is not good at all. I would not suggest especially if you want to be central.

If I was to go to Prague again I would definitely stay somewhere more convenient for the Old Town. It was very tiring to take metro change at Mustek and three more stations which does not sound much. But it is and it was tiring to travel to all the historical places everyday. It takes about 30 to 40 min and apart from a big shopping centre and few restaurants there is nothing in the area where the hotel is.

We were in room 216 - not bad at a glance but the sink tap is misfired almost as if spirit levels were not present, there is paint peel above the bath and as soon as we checked in someone wanted to hover just outside our room.

The checking was done with due care and diligence- but the management could avoid guest’ annoyance if there’s supplied extra reception staff maybe around 2 -4 pm… the wait at checking and the unfinished room makes tour hotel not worth 200 euros per night

This is the 3rd time at the hotel in 6 months. It doesn’t disappoint. Martin the barman is great and it’s nice he remembers us. The hotel is in a great position and the transport links to the main attractions are cheap and plentiful. I used the gym and sauna this trip. The gym is well equipped and free to use as part of the stay. I paid extra for the sauna, this was very relaxing and worth the payment. My only issue was that the pillows weren’t as comfy as normal, but we managed for the length of our stay. It didn’t warrant saying anything at the time. All the staff are pleasant and the hotel is extremely clean. We will be back again soon.

Positives: The hotel is has a nice design, clean room, the staff is professional and helpful. Also it is close to a supermarket.

Negative: The gym is nice but limited in the number of equipment's available.

My recommendation is to add and extra bench and treadmill to the gym for residents convenience.

So overall a great hotel choice, and a well-done to the staff and management.

The room is exactly as you see in the picture. Clean and spacious and breakfast was good with lots of choices. I went in a busy period so had to queue for tables to be free. But overall, it's a nice place and great location. I walked to the old town everyday for sightseeing but the buses and train station is literally 500m away.

Good value for money. Clean and spacious rooms. Good location with lots of restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Parking available but be aware that the spots are on the smaller side. Anything larger than a midsize sedan, will be tricky to park.

Only negative was the wifi. It was awful. Weak signal. When you were able to find a signal, it was painstakingly slow. I ended up using my mobile hotspot.

I stayed here for 9 days. Due to the length of my stay, I wanted a hotel with a business centre (as I would be working whilst there) and a gym. The hotel advertises a business centre on their website and on expedia, however when I got there, the staff confirmed (with a shrug of their shoulders) that there is no business centre. I asked where I could print documents and they said to send the document to reception for printing (not ideal for confidential information). The gym has no air conditioning, is tiny and has 2 OUT OF ORDER treadmills which take up half the space and were not fixed in the 9 DAYS I was there. The water fountain ran out of water on my fourth day there and was never replenished.

Cleaning staff are nice and friendly, breakfast is good and breakfast staff are generally nice.

The reception staff were ok but give the impression that they would prefer if they didnt have to deal with you at all. I had a postcard with a stamp which I wanted to post so I asked if I could leave it with them or if they could tell me where the nearest post box was. They said no, they couldnt post it and they didnt know where there was a postbox. I eventually found one 250m down the street.

There's a bar across the road that has raves from time to time. It happened once whilst I was there (on a Thursday) - the entire building shook from the music (luckily I had earplugs) - so my advice is to check whether there will be a rave on in the locality before booking a room.

We stayed here for 11 nights. The staff in the hotel can not be faulted they are really helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is not a 4 star like stated I’d say more a 2-3 star hotel. The fixtures in the bathroom were loose and the rooms way to hot even with the air conditioning on and we had 2 rooms during our stay both rooms were the same with the bathroom fittings and heat. The first room we had we came back to on our 6th day and the room smelled like cigarette smoke coming from the next room I think because it was stronger in the bathroom from the vent. We got moved to another room straight away but we had to pack all our stuff and move which was irritating seen as we weren’t smoking. The rooms are very noisy you can hear light switches been turned on in the rooms next to you that’s how this the walls must be. On our last night before we had to travel home we got no sleep due to upstairs guests ponding around all night. The night porter who was really friendly did sort the problem near midnight but it started again during the night and 7am the next morning. I would not stay here again

The location was convenient to Andel shopping centre and a significant transport hub for Metro, tram and bus services. There was nothing that I didn't like about this hotel - I recommend it highly and will definitely stay here again, as I'm a regular visitor to Prague.

The only point I would make - as I assume the hotel management will read this - is in relation to security. A couple of times I arrived back at the hotel at around 1 in the morning and reception was completely deserted. There is no lock on the elevator, so literally anyone could have walked in off the street and accessed the floors where the rooms are located. I would suggest either ensuring 24 hour staffing of the reception area or fitting electronic locks to the elevators.

My family and I are very pleased with the excellent service provided at the front desk by Laura Castro, Amaia, Robert, Marcello and Kapill at the restaurant and bar, we like the food and the cleanliness and service at the restaurant< we think that we can recommend to Occidental Praha five, for those who pass through the beautiful city of Prague.

WHAT WE DID NOT LIKE, was the CLEANING in the rooms, ESPECIALLY IN THE BATHROOMS, IT IS POOR, NEED TO IMPROVE.

Great location to use public transport as the metro and bus station were within a 5 minute walk. We took bus 191 from the airport direct to this bus station We also walked to the nearby big shopping mall and across the river for dinner at U Kroka.
Our room and bathroom were modern and bigger than average. Good selection of food for breakfast. The lobby bar and lounge area were being used by guests.
Perhaps my only criticism was that I found our room too warm, even after turning the heating right down. It was -3 outdoors so great to come in to a warm room but I found it a bit too warm to sleep.

Excellent hotel, very nice and attentive staff! The hotel is maybe 2 minutes walking distance from one entrance to the Andel metro. Using the metro (which is very affordable and uncomplicated), you can be in the old part of town in around 10 minutes. The other entrance to the metro is farther away, but it is close to a shopping center, which also has a tesco for groceries.

My stay was very good, check in and out was quick and easy, room was clean tidy, bed was great did not get a chance to use the hotel facilities tho :( was just a tad to busy out on town. had breakfast 1 out of the three mornings, it was ok not the best but def not the worst. also only a 25 min walk to the main tourist areas. used the hotel car park with no problems. i would stay there again.

Nice, modern hotel close to transport links

There wasn't anything more we could have wanted from the hotel in terms of facilities during our short stay; a good breakfast, good transport links (close to the underground metro, trams and bus station - although if, like us, you don't mind a walk to take in the views; the Old Town Square is around 40 mins on foot), a nice clean room, and free WiFi.

Tomas, who I believe was the hotel manager, was exceptional in terms of his attitude towards making us feel welcome and looking after us, particularly on one occasion where we had to take breakfast in the lobby when the breakfast room was full. Interestingly enough, reading other reviews since coming back, Tomas has been mentioned by other people, so definitely a plus point and not a one off thing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of going to Prague.

Very nice, smaller hotel

Although the hotel is around 2-3 miles from Old Town, Prague; it worked out very nice for us. We stayed a week and loved our neighborhood ( many nice restaurants with very reasonable prices and great food in the neighborhood around the hotel ). We walked to the Old Town ( it took around an hour ) on one our days there. We took Uber many times during our stay and also took the tram. The hotel is very cute. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is very good. Our only complaint is that the lady that cleaned our room seemed to always forget to leave us shampoo, toilet paper, coffee cups, instant coffee packets and creamer ( and never took our dirty cups and glasses when she cleaned our room ). We would definitely stay there again.

Decent stay. The room was too hot despite aircon being on the lowest setting, they sent someone quickly to investigate but it wasn't resolved and they couldn't speak English. They also were very slow on reception, with staff unoccupied while one dealt with issues. At no point was it explained why we weren't being served, this happened on multiple occasions. The road outside was being reconstructed while we were there, but that's just a minor inconvenience. Breakfast is great, the room was very clean and well presented but i'd definitely think twice before booking again. I like the overall area of Andel. I've been to this hotel before and the service has gone a bit down hill.

We liked the welcome drink, the nice clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was the best!!! Will recommend this hotel to everybody. We had great stay!!! Praha is such a beautiful place!

My stay at Prague

It is on a busy road but once you enter the hotel it is quite clean and noise free. I found staff in restaurant are not that welcoming as you expect.

Perfect hotel for someone who wants a good night sleep in a peaceful hotel for an affordable price. The beds were comfortable, room was clean and had all possible necessities.

Nice Hotel

Hotel is very modern, clean and comfortable, staff extremely helpful :) Hotel is about a 20-25 minute (traffic dependant) taxi ride from the airport 700 Koruna which is around £23.00 at current exchange rate.

Hotel is not near the main Prague town centre it is about a 20 minute walk away which in January is not the best thing to do as it was so cold but in the summer it would probably be quite nice as it takes you by the river. Alternatively you can get the Tram from the Andel station which is about a 5 minute walk away.

There are lots of restaurants a cinema, coffee shops and shopping centre near by with a large Tesco! which is by the Andel station

Walked everywhere from the hotel, quiet room, very comfortable and spacious.
