The hotel is on a lovely quiet street. It's an older property but its AC is very good. Ours went out one night and it was fixed immediately. Breakfast was fine. It's very close to tram lines and a short walk to the Andel metro station. The people who work there are very nice.Lots of restaurants in the area.

The rooms were really clean, and the staff was helpful. Although some amenities were lacking, overall, it was a pleasant experience. I should also note that the breakfast was really good too.

The hotel is a well lit, clean and organized space. Some people may have an issue because the elevator stops between floors, so you still have to brave some stairs, but it was fine for us. Room was clean, bathroom was good. Shower had good pressure. I thought that the big towel was still not big per my own personal standards, but it was okay.
We were in the room during regular spring weather, so there was no need to turn on the AC, but the room had it. The remote for the AC costs extra per day if you need it though.
Breakfast was good, selection was normal and standard for everyone's needs. Coffee machine was used constantly by me and other guests, that was very nice. Staff in the breakfast room was really super attentive, acting immediately if someone needed assistance or if the table had to be cleared. Can't remember when was the last time I have seen staff so attentive, that was great.
We didn't really have bad experience, except something that was probably cultural for this part of the continent. When something happens that's not planned, Czech people tend to accuse the guest first, then investigate. Our check in for two guests was a couple of days apart, and that broke the staff - they were immediately thinking about charging us extra for the room, breakfast and everything imaginable, just because staff did not share messages about the situation. Where we come from it's nothing unusual, so we didn't take it too serious. That's why we gave it 4 stars.

The staff at this hotel helped us get our COVID test (for travel home) and printed out the test results. We arrived via bike and they provided a place inside for us to park our bikes. These aspects of our two night stay were very valuable.

The Hotel is in a great area for visiting Prague, and this with my fourth stay at this property. Next to Petrin Hill, which offers the best views across the city, the hotel is a gentle 30 minute stroll to the castle or Charles Bridge, which leads across the river to the old town square. A regular tram service runs close by too.

This was just off the beaten path enough for us. You're within walking distance to everything, not a lot of drunk tourists screaming in the streets, and all the restaurants in the immediate area are cheaper than the tourists traps. Check in was easy/smooth. Breakfast was O.K. Hotel room was clean and roomy for the week we needed it. The bathtub was HUGE, great for soaking after a long day of walking 10+ miles. Would book again.

This hotel is conveniently located (easy access to tram stop and to large shopping mall) in a quiet residential area. Staff are extremely helpful (prepared a box breakfast for me for a 4:30 am departure to the airport) and friendly.

Fantastic location! Great neighborhood for parking a car safely. We walked all over Prague from here, not more than 25 mins to furthest reaches of Old Town. Very clean, great breakfast included with stay. Highly recommend the Olympia restaurant nearby.

I returned to Hotel Petr on my own this May after spending a week there last fall with a Road Scholar program. I arrived quite early, and the receptionist put my luggage in a loccked storage while I jumped on a tram and explored for a couple of hours. On my return, still before the normal check-in time, my room was ready. Later I ran into the owner, Tomas, coming out of the elevator, and we had a pleasant chat about the Road Scholar program. I stayed only two nights this time, prior to heading on to a program in Germany, but look forward to returning to Prague and another stay at Hotel Petr.

Super quiet, breakfast was never replenished with food which was discouraging if you came after 8:30, the tram runs super close to which is convenient.

3 Days in Prague
The staff were welcoming and spoke English well enough to ensure everything went smoothly. We had some concerns about the cleanliness of our initial room, but the front desk staff were able to place us in another room and made sure the new room was clean and met our standards.
Breakfast was great and the rest of the hotel staff were accommodating. I was also pleased with the location of the hotel and the availability of a secure parking garage.

Hidden gem in Prague
I had so much fun in Prague and my hotel experience at Hotel Petr was awesome. The rooms are so roomy and comfortable. All of the staff were so friendly. When I originally made my reservation I made it for two people, but then another friend joined our trip. I emailed the hotel if an extra person may be added and they replied very quickly and made the reservation changes for me. The hotel is pretty close to everything and close to tram stops and Andel metro station. We used Uber to get around late at night.

I was in Prague for work for my first week and stayed elsewhere, but my plans for the second week changed and I found Hotel Petr through this site and got a great deal. Very nice, charming hotel on a very convenient and quiet street. The staff was very helpful and kind. Breakfast in the mornings was nice - nothing special, but good food and plenty of it.
This is a great location, in the center, close to many of the sights and very convenient to the Tram.

Pleasant staff, nice room with tea making equipment, TV, and a good selection on the buffet breakfast table. A 10 minute walk from the metro station which connects via bus to the Airport. Prague is definitely worth another visit, and I will try to book the same hotel.

Hotel placed in a bit of a back street but within easy walking distance from restaurants, shops and tram stop. Room had all amenities, was very clean and beds comfortable. Only down side was a slight smell of stale smoke. I had to ask for more coffee sachets and milk pots, was informed by the receptionist that only one per person per night was allowed. Never have I been rationed to this amount in any hotel I have stayed! When asking for more it was akin to the scene from Oliver! I was advised that I could get coffee in the breakfast room in the morning - what? in my nightwear? Otherwise we had a nice time and would stay again and recommend this hotel.

We were looking for a hotel in a walking distance from center and good rates. We were not disappointed at all after choosing hotel Petr. Situated in a calm street. Rooms are clean and big enough. The hotel was nice, clean and well-maintained. Location of the hotel was really good and considering the price of the room and that it takes less than 10 minutes to Prague's city center by tram, we couldn't have booked a more affordable hotel. Breakfast buffet menu was limited but sufficient. The only thing that disappointed us was that the hotel staff did not reply to our email to arrange a pick-up from the train station. The hotel offers it on its website though.

Upon performing an inspection of the room, we found both a spider and a larva in our bed. No action was taken to remedy this. Staff missed several wakeup calls. Overall, service was poor.
