Access to vehicle was a hassle going down two different elevators to get to basement.
Room service was a little slow, sometimes had to call several times to get questions answered. I would definitely stay here but recommend staff to have more efficient service even if the service is great!

Staying at Swissotel as a first timer was an unforgettable experience. Right from the Reception Desk, meeting with Mehzan (hope I got the name right) was so pleasant and welcoming. The team lead overseeing the Restaurant was a super nice guy. On our last day, we were served a tasty carrot, moist, flavorful, and packed with sweet, carroty goodness to say: “Good bye”, and on it was written; “See you soon”. That was so sweet and amazing. We’d sure be back soon. Thank you for your hospitality and warmth.

5 stars – Always our home in Dubai

Swissôtel Al Ghurair has been our preferred place to stay in Dubai for years. It truly feels like home every time. The rooms are spacious, clean, and ideal for families — we always feel relaxed as soon as we check in.

What makes it even better is the location. The hotel connects directly to Al Ghurair Mall, which is super convenient for shopping, dining, and quick errands. And Union Metro Station is just opposite the hotel, making it really easy to get around the city without needing a taxi every time.

The staff are friendly and professional — always helpful, especially with kids. The breakfast spread is excellent, with plenty of variety for all ages, and the pool area is great for children.

We’ve tried other hotels in Dubai before, but we keep coming back here. This has been home for us — always our first choice.

Highly recommended if you’re looking for a comfortable, family-friendly stay in a central location.

Our stay at Swissôtel Al Ghurair was excellent. The customer service was good, staff were friendly, professional, and quick to assist. We had a minor issue with the air conditioning in our room, but it was resolved immediately, which we really appreciated.

Breakfast was good with a variety of options to choose from. The location is another big plus, it's directly connected to a shopping mall, making it convenient for shopping and dining. Valet parking was also available, which made things easier.

Overall, a great experience. We'd definitely consider staying here again.

Highly recommended

The stay is awesome at the Swissotel. Location wise it is directly connected to the mall. The gym is 24 hr with good equipment. During our stay, they have a.half price massage promotion and we loved it. Even though it is not close to downtown area but as long as you planned ahead with your ride we don’t find it inconvenient

Excellent central location for commutes. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Shame have to wait long for checking in on arrival. Also, have to change lifts and walk in between for going up or downstairs from the hotel rooms.

The hotel overall is quite dated.

Good parts: breakfast is amazing, gym is one of the best I’ve ever seen at a hotel, staff are very friendly and room was clean

Bad parts: the hotel is right by a massive street so sitting on the terrace is not pleasant as you’re breathing fumes. The pool is very average , it’s just a concrete terrrace and doesn’t invite to really enjoy pool time. Also the shower was so weak, multiple times I only had lukewarm water and barely any water pressure

All staff very helpful. Mehran was very helpful when checking in at the front desk. Gladwell at the reception was also very helpful. Eric and DIAB at the concierge were always courteous and friendly but DIAB went out of his to help with packing our luggage.

Good location, bang average hotel, Swiming pools were cold, we were told pool heating system was faulty. We were served food different to what was ordered only for the staff member question what we had ordered. Only when I fact check him he acknowledged but wouldn’t rectify implying t would land him in hot water. Not wanting to jeopardise someone’s job we are what was served which was very poor definitely not worth the prices charged. Poor overall many better hotels in the nearby area.

This property is not what it used to be. It claims to be 5 star but clearly its not. Presently it is at best a 4 star hotels. And this is putting it generously.

Housekeeping is just terrible. On the day we checked-in in our suite, the telephone was not working, there were no bathroom floor mats, only one bathrobe for 2 guests and one pod of complementary coffee

As the package including hotel was booked via Expedia, arriving at 3AM in the morning, the hotel was booked as of the 3 PM the afternoon later that day...meaning that the first night of arrival was not covered by Expedia. Terrible system from Expedia which I did not notice before arrival. (Please improve your systematic technology when it comes to booking packages in order to avoid further losing credibility of future customers..mine you already lost). The check in clerk was absolutely not willing to convenience the matter and offered the cheapest room for AED 942 for the additional hours of the morning, despite a stay booked for 7 days in that very hotel. Not willing to be caged by the situation, I called the hotel I previously stayed in many times before, and they offered a rate which I could not refuse: without mentioning my name (Royal Continental hotel). Returned later that day to check in and waited about 45 minutes as check-in clerk need all the time in the world and can't obviously handle customers efficiently. Expressed this and not sure if this is being picked up. Rooms are clean and spacious, service teams efficient and friendly and the hotel is very well located. No upgrade or whatsoever was offered by the hotel despite confirmation by Expedia. Seriously considering getting rif of Expedia provided their service records.

I stayed in a Deluxe room which was spacious with a good view. However, the interior decor is out of date. The bath tub is a health and safety hazard. It is high and steep thereby making it difficult to climb out of it and also makes one prone to falling.
I had to call out twice for the air conditioning to be fixed as it was malfunctioning.

My recent stay at Swissôtel Al Ghurair was simply outstanding. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and seamless check-in, setting the tone for an incredibly relaxing visit. The location is ideal – nestled in the heart of Dubai, making it easy to explore the city’s attractions and conveniently connected to the Al Ghurair Mall, perfect for shopping and dining.

The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and well-appointed with every comfort one could need. The bed was incredibly cozy, offering restful nights, and the amenities were thoughtful and plentiful. I especially appreciated the view overlooking the vibrant cityscape – a beautiful sight both day and night.

The service was second to none; every staff member went out of their way to make me feel welcome and attended to. The breakfast buffet was diverse and delicious, catering to a variety of tastes, with fresh and high-quality options that kept me energized for the day.

The hotel also boasts fantastic recreational facilities, including a serene pool and a well-equipped fitness center. I truly felt pampered and well-cared for throughout my stay.

Swissotel is within The Ghurair Center, the shopping mall. The location of swissotel is excellent specially if you want to eat outside food, you’ll have plenty of restaurants of Asian, Continental especially the Al Rigga street. Thanks Expedia for giving excellent low hotel rates with lots of top rated starred categories hotels.

Hotel has a problem with the cold water system after 11pm on some floors. water coming out of the shower and tap are boiling hot and it’s very dangerous. You can’t have a shower. Had to call the maintenance to come fix it twice during my stay. First time was early morning and the second time at around 1 am.
Not being able to shower and use the toilet spoilt our stay at the hotel. Hope they can fix the problem to avoid inconveniencing other guests

The rooms are very old and outdated. There is a musty smell coming from the room. There was water leaking from the Muslim shower in the bathroom. Despite several phone calls over the course of an hour and half no one was coming to fix it. It was a massive health and safety hazard as the bathroom was flooded and someone could slip and seriously injure themselves. We wanted to use the toilet but we were unable to do so. There was a young boy from house keeping who had bought a spare bed for us who was far from friendly and looked like he was being forced to work, definitely not the service one would expect in a 5* hotel but nonetheless we said to him to get another mattress as the mattress was rock hard to which he abruptly responded that it would take over an hour. When he came with the mattress upon leaving he slammed the door shut, again not something you would expect from a 5* hotel. The day manager I found was quite rude if I’m honest. We’ve been coming here for the past few years now and there has been a change in management and it really shows. Concierge also took over an hour to come and collect our luggage!

This is an amazing hotel close to all the attractions. It is also close to the union metro station making your journies pretty convenient. The hotel is clean, staff are amazing, and they do give upgrades :-). I got an early check in too after a 14 hour flight - they checked me in at 9am!!
