I thought this was a 4 star hotel but it did not live up to expectations. Although it wasnt the worst hotel, I give a low rating because it failed to show how its 4 star. There was a loose screw on the floor in our room which is unsafe, the curtain drapes were getting stuck and felt like if we tried to open them, they would fall on us, the vanity unit in the bathroom was dirty, the plug hole in the bidet was blocked, the table lamp was smashed, the duvet wasn't clean, there were missing items like the laundry or lunch list etc.

The Nightmare at City hotel.
I had a horrible experience in this hotel. I personally on my arrival told them to place me in a quiet room as i was tired and needed a few hours of sleep before my crucial meeting. They never adhered to my request they placed me in a room overlooking the market field which had continuous running noise till 3 AM with a night football match. I was moved very late after complaining. The next day I went to attend a meeting the whole day on return I found my suitcase being tampered with when I asked them they said no one was in my room. I Was sure I closed my suitcase luckily I had lost nothing. I was traumatised and checked out one day earlier.

This hotel is far from being 4 star. Maybe 2 star will be the right rating and in this case I would rate it higher. It is a very old building and everything is worn down. Location is convenient, close to the metro and main bus station. Also free parking is provided which is very convenient for this crowded area.

We had a nice room and bathroom and the hotel is in a great location close to a metro station plus lots of shops and places to eat. The downside is that across the road from the hotel there is a night market and they have singers meaning it was very noisy at night. We asked to be moved to the quiet side of the hotel which the staff did quickly and without fuss but it is something to keep in mind if you plan to stay at the Landmark Grand.

We found food in the fridge when we arrived, the sheets were dirty and were probably not changed, the bathroom was not very clean and old and needed improvements. Only the location is great (close to Union metro station and many shops around).

The rooms are nice and big. Decor is dated but it's fine. The flat screen TV's are old and don't have an HDMI port that you could use to extend your computer screen area. There is only one restaurant in the evening, there are sometimes noisy parties in the adjacent room in the evening. Gym is adequate and not busy. Rooftop pool and sunbathing area.

Room and cleanliness were beneath satisfactory. Our room was never cleaned properly for the duration of the stay. Only dustbins were cleared and beds made. Our mattress had the springs coming out of it. We reported to reception but they never sorted it out. Our used coffee cups and glasses were never cleaned. I was moved 4x the fourth room the sink was leaking they immediately sent a plumber saying that, it’s very dated even the bathrobe got holes the carpet was not hovered properly morsels of food particles can be seen I showed it to the housekeeping which they apologised. Location is excellent, service is there but you must ask for it! It used to be a fantastic Hotel! I Hope the management Will do something about it!
