The pictures on the Expedia web site were not a true reflection of the condition of the property.
The Gym was in a sorry state and was very small.

Book at your own risk

I selected very specific add-ons for my reservation. The original price of the reservation and the price after the add-ons was significant- this is how I remember this was all added. Upon arrival to the hotel, they told me I only had one room when I had two and that there weren’t any other add-ons that were purchased. I had to encourage them to do their job diligently and recheck my reservation to which they finally acknowledged their error but told me it was two rooms but no breakfast was added. They gave me the run around and told me I had to reach out to the site where I made the reservation if I wanted to get help. This is why I sent them numerous emails and messages a week BEFORE flying in to confirm all the details but of course they didn’t respond to a single one of them. Very disorganized and disappointing hotel.

Just OK for a a bed for the night…

Friendly & efficient welcome. Allowed to access room well ahead of official check in time. Initial room smelt of smoke and we were given an alternative. Overall look & feel of the place is dated - and in part, less than clean. Investment needed !

A lovely hotel where staff cant do enough for you and has an excellent location, from where you can travel too anywhere in Dubai with ease using the Metro. Breakfast has a great variety too and always something different to try! Would definitely stay again.

Good location but badly furnished rooms

The location is excellent, near to 2 malls, shopping, and restaurants.
Staff is friendly and welcoming with Arabic coffee and dates.
Rooms (207, 213, 119,121) are badly furnished broken hand of a cabinet, a broken door of a cabinet.
Toilet: the shower is not working because of broken key and the wall supporting hand is broken.
I have photos for all that points.
I left a letter to the manager with 10 worst points in the rooms I used which need to be maintained.

All the staff were good , but, Hazel on reception was great, checked us into a good room for early check in. Downside, Even though we asked for non smoking, we could smell smoke through the vents and the adjoining room. Noisy street and person in adjoining balcony decided to smash bottles for a laugh. Don’t think I’d stay here again.

Beware of extras when booking for a family

The hotel is nicely located and in a good condition. Staff are friendly. However we had booked for a family of 4 from Expedia. Upon reaching we were asked to accommodate the entire family on a king size bed. How on earth is that supposed to happen when I clearly mentioned 4 people at the time of booking ? I had no other option but to pay extra per night for an extra pop up bed. The hotel management blamed Expedia for the gaffe. Why should I be even offered that room when I clearly mentioned my family size ? With the overall amount paid I could have easily booked better hotels accross the main road.

some of the staff are really unhelpful, not even help you to call a taxi. Asked for a paper for printer, they tried to charge me, but told them I have booked 3 rooms there. The bathrooms got some molds in the tiles. The location is good but don't expect for anything.

The only good thing about this hotel is its location and nearby restaurants/ shopping center. Even though, I had a non smoking room, the entire floor smelled cigarette. You're better staying at the other Landmark Grand Hotel which just around the corner. Don't bother getting theit breakfast, they don't have variety.

The hotel room was unclean, I had to but dettol and give it a once over, there was no hot water, toilet didn't flush and mimi bar fridge was off and smelling like damp. Looks nothing like on the website

The Landmark has seen better days with the floor cover in the common area's badly stained. The location was convenient with access to three metro stations within a ten minutes walk. The overall experience was disappointing. That said the staff we're very courteous and helpful.

Old hotel in convenient location.

Came an hour early but didn't wait long for check-in. Was given a room on the 2nd floor, with nothing much to see but another building and a small street. Building looks old and the carpet on the 2nd floor smelt damp. It is more like a 3-star hotel rather than 4. Room was spacious with comfy bed. There's a bathtub, shower, hairdryer in the bathroom. Room service was excellent. We always come back to our room with everything clean and tucked in proper. Complimentary water is always filled. Thumbs up to room attendants!

Location of hotel is within Union, Al Riqqa & SalahDin metro station. Easy to get food & there is Al Ghurair shopping centre nearby. Very convenient location.

You get a lot of space for your money here, and it had the feel of an apartment.

The downside was a lack of hot water in the sink and a leaky shower.

Bathroom door mirror has stains.
Needs to improve service as did not give us late check out even for one hour and easily could have if staff was professional and trained.

an OK 3 (not 4) star hotel

I'm not a difficult person to please when it comes to hotels. Just give me a clean and quiet room and I'll be all happy.

I should also mention that we were staying in this hotel during a big conference and all hotel rates in the area were tripled.

This was an OK hotel. In reality it is more of a 3 star hotel rather than 4, but I guess that can be said for many hotels in dubai ( my parents were staying in a 3 star hotel, which was really like a 2 star).

The staff were very nice, the room was clean, breakfast buffet was good (but nothing to write home about).
The problems we had was with the noise and the occasional smoke smell in the room ( our room was in a non-smoking floor , but our neighboring room did not seem to care). The windows were not sound proof so we could hear every passing car in the street. Also, the hotel is located near a mosque, so if you are a light sleeper prepare to be awakened at sunrise.
some other Pros: the hotel is close to the union and alrigga subway station and there are quite a few restaurants nearby, which is very convenient.

3 day stop over

The room we had was average...
Nothing spectacular... the resturant near the lobby played loud music.
There is a mosque nearby so u hear the prayers 5 times during the day..
The neighborhood is dodgy...but there is always people (locals and tourists) around ... There is a mall next door that is really nice and plenty of resturants within a short walk.
The hotel does hold luggage free of charge so that was really nice, except the bags were kept in a room were all staff access... so as long as ur bags are locked up should be fine
To take a taxi from the hotel to the gold souk was around 14 dirhams (6$aus)
The walk from the hotel to the train station is 10 mins. The train is a good option for getting around.
Take lots of sunscreen and a hat the heat and sun are killer makes a short distance seem very long.

All went well except that the pillows are too hard and too high. Also, for my second day, I was given no body lotion. I believe the room service person just made a mistake as he/she has given me 1 extra showel gel (mix-up between shower gel and lotion as the colour is similar).

Otherwise, it is very nice to have a free shuttle from hotel to the beach. And the hotel is close to various amenities and a shopping mall. It's not far from the Metro station: it's convenient to go around!!!!

Was very happy with the room and location and the free parking was a real plus. Not too far from most 'tourist' areas but I had a car so it was no issue. Someone without a car might find this location a bit out of the way unless they stay mostly in the older section of town.

Qantas trip break

Hotel good, staff very helpful. Small problem with taxi drivers, we were twice taken to Landmark Grand despite giving very clear instructions. At 2am Landmark Grand, when we arrived, taxied us to Landmark Riqqa. If you want to try arab cuisine this is a good area for restaurants. It is a not too long a walk to the gold and spice souks. Certainly not the sterile concrete jungles on finds elsewhere.

The hotel was very clean and the housekeepers always did a wonderful job and were very pleasant.

Don't expect the same service from the receptionists though. They will try and do the bear minimum, and just keep in mind that you will have to ask them multiple times before they do as you ask. We had to ask them twice to get our bill to pay it a couple of hours before departure. They then said it couldn't be done! We obviously pushed them and it was then done and was sorted, but that wasn't the first experience. When we checked in early, as we arrived at 6am as stated on our booking, they said we couldn't check in until 2pm, when we clearly tired and couldn't do anything until we checked in. They then said if we wait 2 hours and then pay 300 dirhams we can check in early. We had no choice so we paid the fee and they said they could possibly do it earlier and then kept telling us it would happen in15 minutes for about an hour, and then gave the room to another couple who came after us because they complained loudly. We were angry but couldn't do a thing as were women and the other couple were men. They then said this is dubai time and dubai time means a long time. I was very disappointed with them , as they clearly have no understanding of customer service.

Breakfast is also not very nice and by the end of the trip we ended up eating out even though we had paid.

The location is excellent and the rooms are luxurious and clean. There is a lovely sauna and swimming pool.

Great place to stay. Very affordable and close to three Matro, two big malls, a corner shop and a big departmental store.
Staff are fantastic specially, at the reception desk, Rafiq and Kalam. I would give 10 out of 10 for their services

Room comfort was great. Internet is free and works great.

As there is no night clubs or bars we could sleep well in the nights. Overall very happy and would stay there again and again

Nothing about this hotel was 4 star standard.

They upgraded us on check-in to the best room in the house - I dread to think what the others were like.
The shower curtain was too high so all the water poured out of the shower all over the floor, water either boiling or freezing.

Worst breakfast I have ever had. Took me 5 minutes just to find a plate and then risk something from the meagre offerings

The best however has to go the the waitress or could note state in English how much we had to pay for lunch, so wrote the amount in pen on the wooden table !!

Hi.The stay was comfortable and pleasant with friendly staff. We did have 2 issues where the shower leaked and messed the entire bathroom. The plugs available to use was to less and the plugs by the headboard had to have the main light swtich turned on before use.

Too Expensive for the Prices I was Charge -ROBBERY

The Hotel is TOO EXPENSIVE for the services they provide. I stayed for 21Hours but was charged for One and Half Days I arrived at the hotel at 3AM and was checking out at 12 AM the following day. The receptionist refused to check me in an I had to wait in cold reception sofa until 05:30 AM unless I paid for two days rate.
