Good location

Good location 2 minute walk from BTS so it’s very convenient going around the city. Close to 7/11 and there are lots of restaurants around the area. The rooms are just a bit run down and not as new as it looks in the photos but we still had a comfortable stay.

No cleaning done during my 4 days. Ants crawling everywhere into my luggage going after my toothpaste. Ant nest must be burrow somewhere close with a anthill of them going after anything they can eat. Complain twice to reception and they only gave me a pesticide spray to deal with the issue. I stayed better places in 3rd world countries like Congo.

The room was so dirty. When I booked the room inside the internet the picture was perfect. After checking in there was no window and the room given was dirty, untidy, air-condition malfunction. Overall experiencing a bad moment. Later change another room. Also very dirty. No remote control. Lousy hotel.

Based on price what you get is OK, but my room and bathroom was mold (a lot) everywhere! All the staff was nice. I have a 2 hr late check out but was not posible they said and I only get one. Good location.

Night staff are stil ok, morning staff are terrbile. No greetings, not even a smile on the face. Asking questions also not so willing to help or answer, we wish to be a regular guest, not a one-time-stay guest. Honestly, if not because of the location near to BTS, I wouldn't have considered this hotel. Breakfast options are seriously lacking, if the complimentary breakfast is not sincerely offered, might as well no need mention free breakfast, honestly I tried the 1st day, never bother to stay for breakfast for the rest of my stay days.

The room wasn't clean. Towels wasn't neither. Bed was clean. Airconditioning wasn't able to cool down. My room at the first floor was noisy all the night trough due to be closed to the lobbys back room and kitchen and entrance. The bathroom was contaminated with some fungitive joints and corners which is not a problem for me but taking a shower was quite difficult due to low level ceiling. I had to tighten the screws on the toiletts bowl cover before use. Furniture used. TV program poor. Friendly staff ok... Breakfast poor. No eggs, no cheese, no ham no bacon etc...Quenn size bed as ordered? I would rename it Beggars size. I payed in advance 3 nights but checked out after the first night.

Great stay!

Great location! Bts station is just 2min walk from the hotel. There’s a budet friendly thai resto located near this hotel. They also allow you to leave your luggages if you arrive too early for the 2pm check in time. We enjoyed our stay here! Thanks.

Appears to be a hostel, not a hotel. Checked in Aircon could not cool room, internet couldn't connect and stay connected for 5 min. Checked out after 90 minutes.
Inexpensive but minimal amenities.

Great place

Room is clean. Everything works. No elevator to second floor. Ladies at the reception can wear smiles to make the place better. Lady who stays overnight and helps prepare food can also smile.
Perfect place close to spa, massage places. Terminal 21 is one stop away on train.

Although I am not a picky person when it comes to hotel stay. I would like it to be clean.This hotel however is not clean at all. The bedsheets has some blood stains and I had to use a towel to cover it to sleep as the staff mentioned that they could not change the bedsheets due to the housekeeping is not around. The room furnishing is also in a very bad state. Floorings was not laminated properly and edges are poking out. Would not recommend to remove your shoes while walking around the room. Small coackroaches could be seen and during the day, constructions work was about and around you. Would recommend guest to leave the room before 9am to avoid the noise and dust.

Do not stay here

Vacation. Do not stay this place if you want to sleep at night. The motor cycles race in main Street and the noise is unbearable. Shower is antique. No English channels and no free breakfast.

Ants on walls. Bath towel missing on day 2 and yellowish. Bath mat is grey because too dirty. Bed sheets have holes and dirty. Service terrible and slow. No amenities except two pieces of small soap and shower caps. Soap and shampoo provided in used water bottles.

Cheap room with a whole lotta regrets

The hotel is in a very convenient location with eateries and convenience stores near by. But it seems to be a very old hotel with the rooms not well maintained. The room floors and furniture were dirty with hair and water stains. The ceiling also had water stains and cob webs also. The worst was the security safe, which was movable, meaning that anyone could just walk out the hotel with it! After the first night, I booked another place further away but I still used the room because of the convenient location. The only consolation was that I got a very low rate for the room.

The pictures are a misrepresentation of the current status of the hotel which is run down. The lift was not operational for 5 days of my stay. I enjoyed he daily workouts but did not enjoy carrying heavy lugguage up and down a narrow flight of stairs to and from the 5th floor during check in and check out.

The only complaint i had was that the pillows were very uncomfortable and you could visually see sweat stains through the pillow cases from previous users. Suggestion to get own pillow. Other than that it was ok. I would go to this place again.

Budget Hotel in Serious Need of Overhaul

I booked this hotel based on the recommendation of friends that stayed there few years back. The stay has been disappointing from beginning to end. The receptionist has poor command of English and was difficult to understand. Initially gave me a room that has not been cleaned. Went down stairs for a different room. The following room had a key card slot that barely worked (had to insert key card at an angle for the senor to read and activate electricity). Everything was old. From the sheets to the towels, which were more beige/yellow than white. The room also had some ants. The safety box didn't work (and didn't come with any instructions). There was construction nearby and I could hear pounding and drilling most of the day. Basically not a room any reasonable person would want to stay in.

Don't expect too much.

The hotel staff are helpful. They do anything to keep you happy. But the hotel is old. The odour is not good. You need to bring air freshener along. I was staying in a deluxe room was nice. It came with a window. But later I moved Down to a standard room. It was depressing. Well...you get what you pay for. But in term of location it was great. So close to train station and shops.

It is not what you see on the photos

The hotel is not terrible, but it is not what you see on the pictures. First, the trees sight in reality is a 24-hour-working construction that, apart from ugly, is quite noisy. Second, the rooms are really small and the facilities are not clean. Third, the wifi connection does not work in all rooms (I am writing this on the lobby).

The good things, I would say, are that the location is really good (you can go to the main temples by public transport, paying only 10 BTH) and the staff that try to help in everything they can.

Overall, I would not say that this hotel is a bad option, just do not expect to see what the photos show.

I didn't get the best room, but you pay for the location. The door was faulty, though did lock. The safety box didn't work, and the shower was easily repairable, but they chose to leave it broken, so you had to hold it in your hand.
But I was in Sukhumvit.

Good, but beware construction

The hotel location was excellent, it is walking distance to the BTS, cleanliness was good & staff is friendly enough. Only thing is the condition of the rooms although decent you can see it is in need to basic overhauling, wall paints chipping off quite badly. The only thing you have to be aware of, there is construction going on behind the hotel, so most rooms are affected by the noise and pilling works. Unfortunately for us we didn't find out till the next morning when we were woken up by the sounds of construction. It will take a while before it completes as they are building a new condo and they just started the ground work.

Other than that, good location, friendly staff & with decent-ish rooms...

This hotel is only 100 meters from the Sky Train, making travel around the city very convenient. In the last 2 years I have stayed at this hotel every 2 weeks each month. I choose this hotel because of its convenience, reasonable price, and its relative newness and cleanliness.

I stayed at this hotel for about 4 days or so.I had a single room on the side of the building next to a construction site and work was in progress.Very noisy in the day till about 10 pm at night.Staff was okay.Some staff friendly some not.Second last day moved to a quieter room next door.Very limited free breakfast.Nice downtown park is near hotel but good luck if you drive parking \"who knowes\"

The Pics on the website don't do justice to the reality of the room, Although clean, its far too smaller than projected.
Although I took an upgrade by paying cash, the hotel staff seemed too ignorant and rude to me raising the concern. They blatantly told me to apply for refund with expedia if not satisfied and that they could not help me further..
A little more hospitality could have made my stay far more comfortable.
The breakfast offered was a cornflakes, milk and bread..

Heavy construction beside hotel.. Noisy

There is a major construction project happening for the next six months to one year at a building right next to the hotel. Jack hammers and metal clashing 24/7. I changed hotels because of this. Also if you book by the week, you will save. Book by the month, big savings. Right now because of the construction, traffic to the hotel is horrible and noise is terrible. Would not stay again until construction is complete.

Faulty air-conditioner had me move to another room, where unfortunately the plumbing a little dodgy with a background pong from the loo. Staff a little lackadaisical. The most minimal breakfast I've ever experienced. Location great next to the skytrain and a popular good-value street cafe. I guess you get what you pay for.

Hotel is nearby to Phrom Phong BTS (5 min walk). Very convenient to access other parts of BKK from BTS. In the night time after 10 pm., surrounding area will be quiet with no food to purchase. But there are a 7-eleven and a Family Mart just beside the BTS. Hotel provide towel and shower foam with breakfast (bread, cereal, milk, coffee, tea). Staffs are polite and can communicate in simple English. Overall rating is satisfied. Its cheap and conveniently located. Will stay there again. :-)

Condition of the room

I feel not comfortable for 2nd Floor room as the ceiling is 2 meters height. The shower head holder is broken and do not fix back. Bath towel and hand towel is not prepared before we check in the room. 6th Floor bathroom window lock is broken. Feel unsecure whole night because outside the window is balcony and people easy to access to the room.

Worst hotel I have ever been in Bangkok

On check in the staff were unfriendly and never smiled once. There was no porter or bell boy to help with our luggage or show us to the room. Inside the room itself was litterarly bare!! No wardrobe, chest of drawers or even a bedside table.There was no table to sit at or even a chair to sit on come to that. The windows did not open and the air con barely worked.The \"safe\" was on a small shelf that was nailed to the wall and My tablet wouldn't fit in it let alone a laptop! The toilet/shower room was no bigger than a telephone kiosk with paint flaking off the walls and mould round the toilet pan. I understand that the Nantra is a budget hotel but surely there are minimum requirements even for them, I did pay extra for a so called \"Delux\" room, and if this was a delux room then I dread to think what the standard rooms consisted of. It was that bad we couldn't stay there. When I asked for a refund I was told to refer back to Expedia! I couldn't understand this as the hotel would have already received payment for the booking! Even so we moved out to hotel across the road which had all the amenities at less than what we paid for the Nantra. I hate to give bad reviews and have never done in the past, however, I couldn't find even 1 redeeming factor that would be a plus about this hotel. If you want to stay in this area of Bangkok then book into the 24 Inn which is just across the road and is a cheaper option as well.

This hotel was really close in proximity to the BTS. We booked the economy room which was small with no windows. The ceiling was really low as well so we felt a little boxed in. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean enough. The staff was mostly very friendly and helpful. We would return to this hotel but would probably get a room with a window if possible.

It is only a minute walk to Sukhumvit (one of the main roads in Bangkok). BTS Skytrain Phrom Phong Station is just around the corner which can connect most places in Bangkok downtown. Excellently convenient for shopping.

Good stay, near BTS but noisy

Near BTS, 24 hours provision stores (family mart, 7-11), shopping mall (Emporium). The Naraya near by was quite huge too, good for shopper like myself. Definitely worth the money. As there is no escalator up to the BTS so it's abit inconcenient but I guess it's the same for most of the BTS station in Bangkok. In terms of service, it's way the review that I have read. Hotel also provides adapter if you need to charge your laptop or HP. Free upgrade of room from economy to standard. The only thing I dislike about this hotel is that it is located just beside this building which is undergoing construction. Construction starts every day (weekday and weekend) at 8am, Bangkok time, sharp. It's extremely noisy and I didn't sleep well, but alarm clock no longer needed. Hahaha

The customer service was very hit and miss. One day I was greeted with smiles and the staff was very helpful, the next day I tried to extend my stay by a night and the man was very rude. So much so that I packed my things and left for one more night in Bangkok, very inconvient. I dont consider myself unusually picky when it comes to customer service but I was disappointed.

I am however picky about cleanliness. The bed sheets were very clean and white but the bathroom looked unfinished and slightly in need of some anti mold spray.

Overall JUST ok.
