The hotel was very convenient to reach every place but the room we took has no aircon and even after complaining there is nothing done instead the receptionist said the maintenance will be coming on Monday whereby my checkout on Monday . So I had to sleep in that hot and stuffy room for 3 days 2 nights stay. The staff was inconsiderate to change our room as well

My stay in Suite twin room

I stayed 3 nights in room no 603 in suite twin room plus an extra bed.Overall the room is quite spacious.The problem was only the beds. My single bed was too hard and it needs to be replaced as it was giving noise when i moved.extra bed for my teenager daughter was not so comfortable.room is equipped with fridge,safe deposit box,a big umbrella, slippers, telephone(we stayed our first night in Adagio hotel, a few steps away from retro 39 and it didnt have a phone in the room, also they charged additional 3 percents if we are using credit cards for payment), no proper places for wardrobe, was a nightmare.so we think this hotel retro 39 is much more comfortable hotel than that one, in the same area.access to bts phrom phong is 3 mins away.family mart and 7 eleven are just a 2 mins walk.some open air food stalls are around, but we didnt eat there as my daughter got diarrhea due to food poisoning in chiangmai a few days before bangkok trip.receptionist and bell boy were quite friendly, one doesnt speak english but very friendly middle aged man.No breakfast included in our package, but we have no issue. our room has balcony, so i can wash some and it will dry in just a few hours afterwards.

Fantastic location. Need to improve on hygiene.

Likely to have bed bugs in the room I stayed. Bitten on my thigh the first and second night. After I changed to the other twin bed and wore a fresh bath robe, bitten on the neck and arms.

3 Nights Experience at Retro 39 Hotel , Bangkok

After 8 hours long flight from Doha to Bangkok. Arrived to hotel around 10:20 a.m local time and unable to check in. The desk manager demand to ask 700.00 bath for earily check in. Otherwise, advice to check in 12:00 am. The room was very small and it was ok for couple days. However sewer water smell coming from the bathroom. Especially when temporature rise up nearly 100 degree in city of Bangkok
the smell gotten worse. Most often noticed during my stay the front desk manager was friendly, cheerful nor helpful. Not even try to communicate with customer or a pleasant manner. It appear that manager was either shy or try not to make eyes contact with customers.

Good location, Near BTS Station

Close to the BTS station.(Phrom Phong). Many eatery around. Walling distance to Emporium shopping mall. Nice clean rooms. Wifi good. Friendly staff especially the female front office assistant. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Value Hotel

Retro 39 is a fantastic boutique hotel with clean and modern rooms, friendly and extremely helpful staff. One of the highlights to this hotel is walking distance to shopping malls, local eateries and the MRT system. Even though the hotel is located close to these amenities, very quiet in the rooms.

This is now the second time I have stayed at Retro 39 and will continue to do so.

Good value for location

The hotel is literally 3 minutes walking from Phrom Phong BTS station and 5 minutes from EmQuartier Mall, which has a lot of restaurants and shopping (and isn't as crowded as Siam area). You can't beat the location. I had the smoking room which had a balcony. Room was cozy but clean. My only (small) complaint is that the water in my room didn't get that hot. You'll need to give them a 1,000 baht deposit in cash when you arrive. Friendly service.

This is a tight hotel in a great location.
the bed isn't comfortable. Neither are the pillows.
bed is two twins pushed together.
plus not the 24hour front desk system.
noisy, smell coming from the store next to the first floor, different room than i booked.
and front desk service is nothing. i mean really nothing.
only thing is in front of phrom phong station.

Beautiful rooms, and wonderful location

The upkeep and design of the room are on par with branded hotels. Do not be fooled by the modest lobby area. It is also located just next to the mall and BTS, not to mention the 2 convenient store just around the corner. There is also a park nearby for those who would like to see a bit of greenery or go for a morning jog in the city.

Stayed for four nights at this hotel. The room was clean, well furnished and attractively decorated. It's within five minutes walking distance from the closest BTS station, as well as two convenience stores. The hotel did require a 1000 baht deposit at check-in, which they returned at check-out if there were no problems. The only issue I had with the room was the lack of a deadbolt lock on the door. Additionally, when I stayed at the hotel (August 2016), there was construction on a building happening across the road, which made it a little noisy.

Good location, very close to the BTS rail line station. Good restaurant in lower level serves great coffee and breakfasts. Clean newer hotel. Helpful staff. Spoke good English. Just wished the bed was not so hard and I would have slept better before our long day of travel.

Check in took a fair time, but once in the room a good stay. Very clean and modern design. Building 2 big condo blocks right opposite my room, didnt bother me too much but might frustrate others. Very close to Phrom Phong BTS station, just a couple of minutes away. Will definitely stay again.

value in city center

good strategic location right at (1-2min.) BTS station Phrom Pong. You can even walk to Sukhumvit MRT station in fifteen minutes. Two big malls two min. away, nice Thai food 10 meters down the street. Try to get a room facing the back street (where the reception of the hotel is, the other side faces a construction site). I paid 26 USD plus fees and provisions, that's good value for a clean and quite new room in a location like this.

With it being only a couple of minutes from the BTS station Phrom prong its in a great location for the price of the rooms. The rooms themself were very nice and well presented and of a decent size. Nothing to complain about really as I got very good value for money on Expedia for the room I stayed in.

Nice little value hotel

Clean, well priced hotel in a good location - right next to Emporium and Emquarter if you like shopping. I recommend upgrading to the deluxe room - the windows face a quieter street so it'll be easier to sleep at night.

立地のみでいつも利用しています。スタッフは本当に愛想なく、どんどん悪くなるように感じます。スタッフは本当にやる気なく感じられ、いつも言っているのにこのホテルだけ本当に愛想のかけらもない。。。タイに来て一番タイスマイルを感じない場所がここ。。。でも私の旅には立地がとても良いのでいつも利用はしています。でもあちこち色々泊まりますがこんなに愛想のないホテルもない？

他の方も投稿しているように部屋は暗く、シャワーの水圧が弱い。そしてスタッフの愛想はあまり良くない。ただ、立地は非常に便利で駅、コンビニ、食堂、マッサージ屋が本当にすぐそばにある。寝に帰るだけなら最高。注意点は窓有りの部屋は街の音が夜中までうるさい(窓無しの方が静か)のと、デポジットで1000B(カード不可)を要求されること。

すべての部屋は薄いドアで隔たれてます。そして防音はゼロ。
その部屋は壁が薄く、あなたは彼らの声やいびきが聞こえてしまう。
あなたのプライバシーはゼロ、あなたが食べる朝食の音を彼らは聞くことができます。
もし隣の部屋の宿泊者が2人以上ならば、あなたは騒音で寝ることもリラックスることもできないでしょう。
そして、あなたは予約の時にコネクションルーム以外の部屋をリクエストしても無視されます。
ホテル側はそれができないと回答するとキャンセルされるのでチャックインまで黙ってるそうです。
私はここで寝れなかった。このホテルには二度と泊まりません。

All the rooms are separated by thin doors. And there is no soundproofing.
The room is thin with walls, you can hear their voice and snoring.
Your privacy is zero, they can hear the breakfast sound you eat.
If there are two or more guests in the next room, you will not be able to sleep or relax by the noise.
And if you request a room other than the connecing room at the time of reservation it will be ignored.
The hotel side seems to be silent until chuck in because it is canceled if answering that it can not do it.
I could not sleep here. I will never stay at this hotel again.

若いスタッフの勤務態度改善を求む

定宿であり、これまで何回も利用してきたが、ここ最近、受付スタッフの中でも若いスタッフの態度が悪い。仏頂面で挨拶はしないし、応対も不愛想。暇さえあれば受付ロビー等でスマホゲームに興じており、実に不愉快。まぁ、高級ホテルではないので、仕方ないのかもしれないが、以前はこのようなスタッフはいなかった。因みに清掃スタッフは廊下で会えば挨拶してくれる。ホテル自体はお気に入りなので、改善して欲しい。

プロンポン駅近という立地が便利です！部屋は広くはないけど、程良い広さの空間です！セーフティーボックス、ミニバー、冷蔵庫、フリーWi-Fiなど設備も充実、歯ブラシなどのアメニティも揃ってます！スタッフも大部分はフレンドリーな対応をしてくれました！また、パクソイには、イムちゃんの店という食堂が７時〜１０時やっているので、朝飯から夕飯までタイ料理を食べることが出来ます！

安くて綺麗、立地のよいホテル

ワットポータイマッサージ学校に通う為に滞在しました。ホテルの斜め向かいが学校だったので今回の旅の目的にはとても便利なホテルでした。スタッフも皆さんフレンドリーで優しく、事前にメールでやりとりした際も対応がスムーズで親切でした。
水回り重視の私にとっては衛生面でも綺麗で快適な滞在でした。立地もプロムポン駅から徒歩3分と好立地ですし、ホテルの周りはモールやレストラン、スーパー、マッサージ、ネイルなど全て徒歩圏内に充実しておりとても便利です。周辺は日本人中の方も多く、繁華街ではありますが比較的治安のいいところだと思います。ただやはり夜は繁華街なので神経質な方は音が気になるかもしれません。とても便利なホテルでしたのでまた学校に通う際には利用したいです。

Great location ,near Nana BTS. Room was clean and very big (the biggest room type they had). The bathroom is huge. Good shower, although the pressure was a bit off (depended on time of day). I wanted to make a copy of my passport in the middle of the night, no problem at all. Wifi is fast. Very good experience, would love to come again soon!

駅近で昼も夜も移動が便利

今回4回目の利用ですが、とにかく何をするにも何処に行くにも便が良いホテルです。
必要以上の設備はないですが、逆に困ることもほとんどないです。※ドライヤーは欲しいなあ
滞在して昼も夜も出かける人なら良いホテルです。
バルコニーの部屋なら喫煙も出来ますし、コンパクトなホテルですが食堂、マッサージ、コンビニ、屋台、ＢＴＳもすぐそばでタイ初心者にもお勧めです。
私はでかいバックパックであちこち移動しながらの旅行がメインなので駅近はほんとに助かります。
部屋は清潔で風呂の排水も流れるし、お湯も出ます（バスタブはないけど）
夜遊びも便が良いので一日無駄なく楽しめますね・・※当然ジョイナー無料です。

ダブルベッドはスプリングが良くない。

2泊して1日はツインルーム、1日はデラックスルームに宿泊しました。
・立地はBTプロンポン駅すぐで便利。
・入口のデザインが面白い。
・スタッフの対応はまあ普通というか必要十分。
・デポジット1000バーツが必要。
・朝食はすぐ近くにイムちゃんがあるので困らない。
・ツインルームは格安だが窓がない。
・ツインルームは隣のナニの声が丸聞こえ。
・デラックスルームは快適。

ツインルームはイマイチですがデラックスルームはわりと良いと思います。
いずれにしても家族カップルにはおすすめできません。

吃、購、按摩都很方便

地點很方便，酒店一出路口就是BTS，離EMQUARTIER也是5分鐘，BODY TUNE, LET'S RELAX和URBAN RETREAT按摩也在附近。

立地最高

立地は最高によく、BTSプロンポン駅から徒歩3分程度、すぐ近くに有名なマッサージ店があり、飲食店も豊富。部屋は壁が薄く、隣の部屋から咳する音が聞こえました。また道路のバイクのエンジン音もうるさかった。
