The room and facilities were great. The service was not. I was travelling alone with my two children under 6 and was counting on the services to make my trip a breeze. I couldn’t get a hold of room service (just a mom wanting a coffee!!) and there wasn’t any coffee in the room. I tried contacting the concierge upon checkout, not answering the phone. I ate at the trattoria with my kids, and it was next level humiliating. The waitress talked to us the whole 20 minutes we were there judging what I ordered for my kids to eat, the fact I let them have juice during dinner (not after) and the fact I was even there at all (shouldn’t eat out with them until they are at least 10). It was so belittling. I ended up getting our food boxes up so we could just eat in our hotel room instead. I would stay again for the kids amenities and proximity to home (short two hour drive for us) but the service was honestly terrible.

The check- in went smoothly. The facilities were explained properly and a map was provided for us to explore the grounds. I'm just curious on how the toy stuffy privilege goes. While we were queueing 5 families were before us kids in tow. All kids upon checking in got the duck toy stuffy. When it was our turn, we didn't get one. Is there an age cut off who can only receive the toy stuffy? Just want to know. The rooms were huge. The sofabed needs a bit of cleaning. There are enough pillows too. Downside of the room is that the AC is not too cold. The temp says it's 20 deg but it was cooler outside the room considering it was sweltering outside. I know AC system is fixed but that temp in the room was just a tad warm. Breakfast was great too. Staff very nice and accommodating.

Really great stay at Fairmont. Stayed in a Super King with my husband and 9month old. Enough room to place a portacot. Family friendly resort with great facilities. You do usually need to pay for parking $15 per day I believe, but if you are an Accor member you get it for free during your stay.

I have a lot of love for this hotel, we came here a lot when our children were young. The setting is beautiful and the staff are always lovely and very helpful. However revisiting with my now teenage daughter we feel the hotel needs a refresh, better restaurant & food choices at more reasonable prices. Room service breakfast was unavailable and the only option being an all you can eat buffet which we didn’t require. The golf club was closed the night we decided to eat there, Embers Grill is so over priced so we ended up ordering room service dinner which tasted great but was ridiculously expensive for what we had.

Ein etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Ressort, welches man auf den zweiten Blick auch sieht. Das freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal, die Sauberkeit und die Angebote machen das mehr als wett. Ich komme mit meinen Enkeln bestimmt wieder.
Kleiner Tip am Rande: Die Sauna könnte wärmer sein!

Interactions with staff were heartening due to their sincerity and clear commitment to do a job well. My room was all I could have hoped for, clean, quiet and most importantly for me, secure...a mini bar would have been nice..meh ;-) We went during an unseasonal wet but driving up we agreed there was enough on offer that it would not be an issue. There are cosmetic maintenance issues but really...I didn't care, I really enjoyed my stay.

The room was satisfactory except that at least one of the doors to the adjacent rooms was not secured and the guest from next door entered our room. A very friendly staff member attended but did not have the \"special key\" and could not lock it. We had to secure it with a wooden wedge. The hotel is great for children but noisy and not good for a quiet or romantic getaway. Saying that the childrens train ride and carousel was not operative and the adults bar was closed on Saturday evening with the only alternative a lively pizza parlour. The car parking is not suitable for older people as many of the car parking spaces are on one of the 4 lower levels with about 80 steps and up to 100 metres walk. A great hotel if you have kids, but that's about it.

I stayed in a Deluxe Room with Spa at Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains, expecting the high standards Fairmont is known for worldwide. Having stayed at multiple Fairmont properties in Dubai, this experience was shocking and disappointing.
Teaspoons were dirty with dried food particles.
Sink clogged after use.
Dust on bed and headboard.
Carpet ripped near bedside.
Wardrobe and cabinets were visibly unclean.
Overall, the room felt unhygienic and poorly maintained.
For a luxury hotel charging premium rates, this is unacceptable. I have photos to prove these issues. Fairmont needs to take urgent action to ensure guests don’t experience this.

The property is in need of repairs and maintenance. The exterior of the buildings need painting and some repairs. There were quite a few leaks in various places around the building from rainwater entering the roof spaces. There was a dangerously loose glass shower screen in the shower/ bath which was also very awkward to get in and out of and was very narrow. We have stayed here a few times over the last five years and unfortunately each time it has gotten a bit worse. There are more activities for kids and the ice skating rink looks great.

There were scratching noises in wall & ceiling - perhaps possum or rats. Bathroom had no fan and shower too small and bath slippery. Dirty kettle and pigeon droppings outside window.
Restaurants lacking supplies and screaming children heard through walls and in hallways. Needs separate area for adults only bar and restaurant.

Unfortunately, our stay didn’t meet our expectations this time. Overall, the hotel gave an impression of prioritising additional revenue over guest comfort. Many activities come with extra charges, creating a constant feeling of being upsold. Our stay ended up with a very uncomfortable situation. Despite booking through Expedia with all children declared (ages 4, 11, and 14), we were told at breakfast that one of our children was not entitled to breakfast and that we had failed to provide thr age. This was particularly distressing, as Expedia requires children’s ages during booking and considers children up to 17 years old (but Fairmont consider 12+ as adults). However, none of the booking confirmations or receipts mention my children’s ages, and it appears this information is not passed on to the hotel. Being questioned and effectively blamed in front of my child, and made to feel as though I had done something wrong, was embarrassing and upsetting. After stressful discussions, the issue was eventually resolved and breakfast was provided complimentary, but the experience itself left a very negative impression.

No, the room was not spotless. Carpet had not been vacuumed and had numerous stains. Numerous wads of lint and hair on the floor around bed. Hoping housekeeping would catch that the next day but never happened.
Staff was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Numerous amenities were not open the days we were staying there. We found this very disappointing.

The view was lovely that is of course, if you could get a table and/or seating to take in the landscape. The daily cleaning was average rubbish bin not emptied, on facecloth second day, convenience areas and drinking vessels not cleaned. Maintenance could be reviewed as there was a large gap on the right side window ( broken) allowed entry to a large spider!! and cold draft from the extreme wind on one occasion. Must say, the staff were excellent very professional and friendly.

Our room was very noisy, it was an interconnected room. Next to a room where we could hear one of the guests vomiting all night.
Surprised for a four star hotel there was no complimentary bottled water in room. We visited on school Holiday weekend and it seemed staff were stretched, bar tables were dirty and it was poorly staffed at bar. Otherwise hotel was in fabulous location in blue mountains with great access to a lovely bush walk.

The food choices were poor. The quality of the food was below average. I did not enjoy the food. The staff were wonderful. The room was clean but there were no tissues in the room. The property itself is beautiful but it is run down and needs some love - for instance the fountain outside the spa is not working. The abstract art on the wall in the hall to the elevator should be replaced with some beautiful scenery paintings or prints of the blue mountains area.

After hearing a lot of negative comments about this place I was apprehensive at first. On arrival we were greeted by fantastic staff, pleasant and friendly. It was a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The food was fine, the rooms were fine but yes the place could do with a bit of a refurb and some money spending to update the place.
The hotel really did go above and beyond for our family.

I would have given 5 has it not been for limited food options at resort such as not being to get Ala carte breakfast
The breakfast buffet eggs were very ordinary to terrible. At least let people order eggs this way
Also would have been good to have Greek yogurt at breakfast buffet
My previous 2 stays were not during school holidays and before Covid

The sublime cafe has outstanding prawn pasta and arancini, but terrible calamari and no cakes no soups could really do with more options such as pizza. They used to in the past have very nice cake selections

I honestly over all love this resort I think with modifications to have more food options would be a 5 out of 5
I guess one would drive to Leura and Katoomba but it was extremely cold and we really wanted to stay in resort so had to get uber eats one night to hotel as my husband had a cold and did not want to be in zero weather

We only booked a month before so could not get interconnected rooms but they gave us 2 rooms next to each other and were extremely good to change bed configurations to be king or 2 singles as we wanted

The new ice rink is so lovely wish they made it double the size as there is space !

An honest review...There were plenty of games rooms and activities for kids such as ice-skating and basket ball courts. We wish we had more time here. I think the horse riding would do really well and it's a shame the stable is not in use. The property was beautiful and the breakfast and staff were terrific. The building itself is very outdated but it has a lot of character. Some of the furniture and fixtures need a bit of a spruce up such as a faulty lamp, scratches over the bath and no bin liner. Nothing big really! The giant rainbow slide...well the kids were upset that is wasn't running the day we came. The extra large bath towels were so comfortable and I loved how spacious the room was compared to other resorts. Overall we would definitely come back and for a longer visit so we can get the most out of what this great family resort has to offer.

What a disappointment.
This Resort once was a lovely place to go to and enjoy yourselves.
Now it is a place to go if you have kids the noise slamming doors kids running up the corridors yelling.
The spa was so full of kids we couldn't even get a foot in with the kids.The pool they had balls throwing all in the pool not good.
The days we stayed the Whisky bar was closed,never saw the shop open , the lounge with the fire place and bar serving snacks ,snacks stopped at 5 and the bar closed at 6.Our thoughts have changed and unless you have children I would give this a miss.

The room was quite spacious with most of the requirements for our family, however they do need a bit of an upgrade.
The combined bathtub/shower doesn’t work as water ends up all over the floor of the small bathroom which is very frustrating!
The exhaust fan in the bathroom was out of order & quickly fogged up whenever having a hot shower. Our TV was tempremental at times & needs to be replaced.
The buffet breakfast was a great way to start the day & our stay overall was good.
