If you're looking for a hidden gem that's a little off the beaten path - this is it. The staff here really make the experience, they are kind and helpful and warm. If you keep in mind that much of the charm of Jamaica is slowing down and getting on island time, you will not be worried about rushing to get whatever you're looking for. All good things in time. The rooms are clean, the property is beautiful. I wish I was back there right now.

We have stayed in many hotels in Negril since 2015 and this is our favorite. It’s so nice. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The staff are friendly helpful, courteous and offer exceptional service. Our meals (breakfast and dinner) were delicious and plentiful. Big ups to the staff , the wonderful chefs and especially Parchie for his outstanding bar and restaurant service, music choices and great company. The Westender Inn is truly a gem in Jamaica. It’s quiet, peaceful and well-maintained. The staff here treat guests as family and go above and beyond to ensure everyone has a memorable stay.

Communication prior to arrival is prompt and comforting. You know that you’re in good hands and will be looked-after. My arrival transfer was arranged through the hotel and the driver met me at Montego Bay Airport with a smile. The drive to the hotel felt like a private tour as the driver proudly told me about Jamaica and the sights along the way.

Check-in was seamless, and also met with a warm smile. I knew already I had chosen the right property for me, but the warmth I was shown reaffirmed that. My room was also clean, quiet and comfortable. It was perfect for my weekend getaway.

Lunch and dinner can be taken right on the water’s edge, and the menu boasts a collection of local favourites (the fried chicken is a must!) The servers are kind, the food is delicious and the views are just unbeatable. Breakfast is in a more secluded side in the garden, and is equally tasty.

The pools are also well-maintained and a real treat for those wanting to cool off. The pools are also perfectly positioned for those wishing to catch the sunset.

Transfers into town are seamless, and such a bonus for guests without cars. I found them to be an efficient way to enjoy the local area.

Overall, I 100% recommend the Westender Inn for those wanting an authentic Jamaican holiday.

The westender inn was great . Room was nice and so were the grounds. All the people were very nice. The reason for not giving five stars was was shuttle ride to beach at 10:00 we set and waited 45 minutes wanted to go to grocery store and was dropped off at little hole in wall that was a third the way the beach where nicer store was . Then waited 25 minutes for ride back while driver may a trip to hardware store for hotel. Than charged 32 dollars for their hardware shopping. So i just cut out are lunchs and dinners and drinks for rest of week which cost hotel at least 500.00 dollars. But they still made 32.00 dollars for bad shuttle to store.

My dissatisfaction wit this property began when the cleark told me it would cost me an additional $30 USD for a room with Air-condition. Then i had to frive through some bushy areas to go to the bungalow that was not properly secured. The stay was very uncomfortable because the surrounding areas and the door the the bunglow was not properly secured.

I normally love this property however this stay was not good. No upkeep. The floor was not swept or mopped prior to my arrival. They use to offer anything on the menu as the free breakfast and now it’s just eggs and fruit. I don’t eat eggs. Stay are great, very friendly and welcoming. I just think management has to remain involved to ensure the upkeep is maintained

I spent 5 days at the Westender and loved it! Beautiful property, excellent views, each pool had its own unique charm, and the staff was lovely. Food and drinks were reasonably priced and I spent less than I would have for an all inclusive. There is a shuttle to 7 mile beach throughout the day and guests were very friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

Lots of area to walk with pretty flowers and birds. Excellent breakfast and the dinners we ate there were good. Shuttle drivers friendly and can go to Whistling Bird on Seven Mile Beach for free. Cabin 7 with 2 bedrooms, good beds, a/c and tvs in each room, kitchen and living room was perfect for 2 friends (or could be for 2 couples). We would have liked to see some sort of tuck shop with snacks, sunscreen etc. because the property is not near shopping.

Westender Inn has gorgeous landscaping that is maintained beautifully. Our room was clean and quiet and the view of the water breathing. They have pools filled with water from the sea and they overlook the sea crashing on the rocky shore. This is where we like to stay after a couple of weeks on the 7 mile beach to unwind and thank God for creating such beauty for all of us to enjoy.

When I saw this place on Expedia, the beach and pool view captured me so I booked it for couple days.Check in at the front desk was a breeze. Upon entering the deluxe room with kitchen, it did not look like the pictures. Very outdated! They have rusty pots and one of the pots was not even washed they put it under the cabinet with oil still in it. Next there were no dish cloth to wash the dishes, the Wi-Fi sucks, there is no water pressure from the shower, check out day we could not take a shower because there was no water coming from the shower. we have to keep flushing the toilet for stuff to go down, no broom, no mop, no iron. We called the front desk to ask for an iron. One guy came and knock on the door just to check if we really did not have an iron, are you kidding me! I will give 4 stars for the pool. Just rest assure the pool is actually saltwater from the beach water. But it does have one pool that’s actually chlorine. Since we were only staying 2 days we did not bother to say anything because we did not want to be label as annoying guess.

We had a great stay at the Westender! This was our second time staying here and we had a wonderful, relaxing time. The staff was always very friendly and helpful, the food was good, and we felt safe and well taken care of. Our room was great although there were some drawer handles missing which meant there were several dresser drawers that we couldn't use. Once we were unpacked it didn't bother us much, but could stand to be fixed. We used and loved all the pools. The sea pools were great when they were clean. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

The WestenderInn is a beautiful property in the west end of Negril. I stayed there for only one night and it was great. The property has everything you need for your stay. It's right by the ocean where you can watch the majestic Negril sunset. The food was great, the staff amazing, and it's in a quiet neighbourhood. Not all the cabins come with AC, some with only a fan so it can be very hot so be mindful of that.

The area around is nice, kinda separated from the town a little bit, but if you coordinate with the staff members they will surely take care of you in transportation.

The Westender Inn is a little slice of paradise carved carefully into the far west cliffs of Jamaica. The grounds are beautiful kept by Mr. Green and crew with tropical flowering trees, bushes, and plants throughout the property. Situated on the far west the sunsets are glorious and you can view them from a nearly every corner. We caught a few from comfy little cabanas and the three salt water infinity pools perched on the edge of the fossilized coral cliffs. There are 2 restaurant areas with full bars on the property that offer the Jamaican cuisine essentials with a variety of fruits and vegetables grown on property.
For excursions off property the awesome staff is super happy to set you up with reservations and transportation. Free shuttles to 7mile beach run three times a day. You’ll be dropped off at “The Whistling Bird” and have full access the their private beach. It’s like a sister property to the Westender which gives you the opportunity to experience a whole different beautiful little resort. Even the 400 foot walk from entrance to beach is breathtaking strolling through a beach side tropical shady garden. For short money you can reserve a shuttle to any of the local attractions, (Rick’s Cafe, blue hole springs, Barney’s flower and hummingbird botanical garden.) be sure to have staff make a reservation at Barney’s. He is a gem of a dude so long as you make reservations haha. Tino or maybe Raheem will get you safely to your destinations. I could rattle on. Just go!

I arrived at the property at about 11:15 PM with all the numerous flight delays. Everything was closed down at the hotel. I was dehydrated from the trip and there was no water in the room. Security had to unlock the dining area to get me water. There was no food to purchase. Good thing I had protein bars in my luggage. There was no phone in the room in case I had an emergency situation. There wasn’t even a remote to turn on the TV.

The food was excellent, my favorite was the Brown Stew Chicken, Soup, and the Jerk Chicken Sandwich. Ramona, Nelia, and Natasha made beautiful drinks. Natasha made great conversation and was our favorite server. Infinity Pools were our spot, watching the crabs on the rocks and waves crash giving an unforgettable show. Snorkeling was amazing when it was calm enough, only 2 days out of 10. Mr Brown was kind and made sure we were always taken care of. There was a gentleman in the office almost everyday, I'm ashamed I forgot his name, but he was so kind and attentive with all my questions, he loves the Red Dragon Pork :) too so the management can know whom I am speaking of he deserves recognition. The Gardens were so beautiful and well kept! We will definitely be back!

Wanted to love this place, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. We didn’t realize it’s Sooooo far away from Any civilization/market/restaurants. Our first night there was very limited food options. They were out of EVERYTHING. Power outages, then the lights in our rooms light and fan would randomly turn on in the middle of the night. Over the next 6 days, no hot water-we reported and finally we reported it again and the heating module was out and replaced and fixed, No room service, Never a full menu, no ice, no ice bucket, no juice, no limes, it was basically comical. Then you have to pay basically $40 (2ppl) for a trip into town to eat somewhere else. They do have a free shuttle that will take you to a sister property on 7 mile beach. Breakfast was good, burger, tuna sandwich and jerk chicken sandwich was good as well. I guess I should have done more research, it’s just to remote and not all the staff was helpful. This was our 4th trip to Negril and our usual spots were full so we know and love the area. My suggestion to make your stay here better, rental car, bring snacks and keep your water bottle so you can refill it and keep in mini fridge. Buy duty free liquor and make a day using their free shuttle to 7 mile. Walk to beach, find the Patty man, barter for gifts and search for shells yourself-they are in waist deep water. Have the grounds keeper at the sister property Whistling Bird to clean your shells. At the Westender bring your pool floats and snorkeling stuff

A little slice of heaven! The Westender Inn is perfect for those wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of the beach. The views rival those seen at Ricks Cafe but in a much more serene setting. There are no buffet lines, every meal is cooked to order using locally sourced fruits and veggies ( grown on the property! Doesn’t get fresher than that!) if you are looking for ultra mega resort life this is not your place, things settle down for the evening and you can relax and enjoy a quiet drink at the bar listening to the waves. The rooms and grounds are well maintained, lush plants, flowers.. the salt water infinity pool was a favorite of mine, I did stay in a suite on the ocean which was incredible! I can’t wait to return in the spring. 💜

Westender Inn is paradise.

Amazing food, great prices and wonderful salt water pools by ocean. Great above ground large pool garden side. Owner is very helpful and friendly. Awesome chill spot away from beach hustlers. Deep ocean lovers paradise. Spacious oceanfront rooms.

Overall it was a good staff for espically for the price . I felt like the service and lack of communication between the staff and customers could be improved . And there needs to be 24hour access to drinking water and coffee in my opinion.

This is my second time staying at the property and both of my stay i can say that not much has changed. The bathrooms NEED proper cleaning , they have black stains in the shower and it was exactly like that during my first stay back in April of this year. The shower doesn't work properly and its still the same. We had to leave early for our flight and and i could not even take a shower UNBELIEVABLE, thank God we had a bottle of water to brush our teeth. We had room service which was very unusual for the time that they came in our room. All they did was spread our bed all dirty towels were left behind. Rooms need to have \"DO NOT DISTURB\" signs.
When you charge for ocean view my expectation is that the rooms would be in pristine condition.
Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The staff at the bar at night has ZERO customer service. We sat at the bar she to order dinner, she did not greet , asked if we need a drink , nothing. It seems like we were bothering her as she was busy working on her school assignments.
I enjoy staying at this property but without any changes made you will loose a regular client, as i travel to the Island VERY often.

The Inn was not was pictured online and after booking and going to the property it was nothing like the actual place. Property is run down and under construction and I felt unsafe. I refuse to stay at this place because it didn’t feel safe. I did not check in after contacting Expedia about the unsafe conditions I was told I had to wait 48 hours. They refuse to refund me even though I felt unsafe. I will never be using this site to make any reservations. After having travel plan it didn’t cover anything and this is false advertising. My entire trip was ruined and I’m completely disappointed about this site. I placed my trust in them when I paid that they would ensure that I had a safe comfortable place to stay while on vacation. They need to hold the hotel accountable not the guest who spend their hard earn money. As expensive as traveling is imagine coming to a place you feel uncomfortable and the hotel isn’t able to grant you a refund.

The staff was excellent. Tino, Raheim, Trish, Mr. Brown, Remona, the other lady in the office and the staff that cleaned my room daily and provided fresh towels. Huh I really enjoyed my stay. Oh and the chef the food was awesome

I selected Westender Inn because I wanted to be away from the partying crowds and busyness of typical Jamaica visitors. The cottage was was the ideal place to escape to when too many people gathered at the pools/ocean or if people were smoking nearby. The cottages do not have air conditioning, only fans. So if seeking solitude, the fan provides the breeze that the ocean would have otherwise. The only challenge was that the entire floor of the cottage was not thoroughly mopped prior to my arrival. The accommodations that were near the pools/ocean have air conditioning but are too close to the places where people congregate. Therefore, those places were less appealing for my specific need for quiet and solitude.

I hated this property!! I was bit up while laying in the beds! I literally had to make a makeshift bed! THEY PLACED US IN THE BACK CABIN where dogs were knocking over our trash & trying to enter our cabin. IT WAS HORRIBLE I WOULD LIKE A REFUND
