Staff was very helpful and understanding being that I spoke no Japanese. Room was and hotel were clean and comfortable. Restaurants onsite were reasonable and had good service. Location was very walkable, coffee shop around the corner was my default go to for a cheap breakfast or dinner.

We selected the rose hotel for the pool for my family to enjoyed, unfortunately when we arrived that's when we were informed that we have to pay a daily fee per person's to use the pool including the children that was not disclose prior. The look like we traveled through time.Not family friendly.

Rooms are clean but dated. Breakfast is quite good. Soundproofing of room is good as you cannot hear guest next door. Hotel is very strict and would not allow early check-in. In terms of location, while there are many shops selling chinese food, there are no shopping malls or convenience store nearby. Subway station is also quite a distance away.

Very convenient location in Chinatown but on a quiet street. Short walk to subway station and Yamashita Park. Room is spacious enough to accommodate three people. Staff was polite and helpful. Overall a satisfying experience.

Location, Location

This is a very clean hotel. The staff try very hard to keep it that way. The location was great for us. Right across the road was Chinatown with a plethora of restaurants and take out food shops. Ten minutes walk took us to the harbour with gardens and sites. There is a tour bus stop right in front of the hotel. Also a airport bus stop. Our only complaint was the beds were too firm and the pillows too soft.

The staff were very accommodating with everything from check in to order cabs for departure. The room was clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom was filled with all the amenities needed. The area around hotel was walkable but not great for wheelchair movement. Lots of stores and restaurant choices all witin walking distance. The restaurant in the hotel was wonderful very tasty food and choices. This hotel was a wonderful experience.

The pool was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. We found out you have to pay to use it. This was not disclosed anywhere when we booked. If we we knew, we would had gone to a different hotel. We paid around $90 for one day, as my kids were looking forward for the pool.

Was able to book a triple room here, which is perfect because we had three adults. We booked the suite, and it was so large and lovely! Had one and a half bath. We loved the area, it was in Chinatown. We were getting on a cruise ship, and it was an easy walk over to the pier.

It was a stop on the bus route from Haneda Airport.
There were many dining options and a convenience store nearby. I was particularly impressed with the great service and personal attention of the staff at the reception counter and that of the bell captains. Personally, I would like to thank Junko ( the gal with the “Kiwi” accent) for her concern and exceptional service.

Great experience with Rose Hotel Yokohama! It is an older hotel but very spacious (unlike many hotels in Tokyo or Osaka), located steps away from Chinatown. Most of the staff can speak Japanese, English and Chinese. They were very helpful with our luggage requests and despite only staying for one night, we were thoroughly pleased with the amazing customer service. The staff really helped make our Yokohama stop a fantastic experience.

The Rose hotel is very good value for money and is in central Chinatown if that’s your thing. Unlimited (Chinese) food options and close up the station to explore the rest of Yokohama and greater Tokyo. The hotel is slightly aged but still has its charm with friendly and helpful staff.

There’s pro and cons here for the family. Pros: the location is central to Chinatown. So you walk down you are in the middle of it all. Right adjacent to the front entrance there’s a legit Thai massage. No funny business there. Just around the corner there’s a 3 story store that sells all traditional products, like kimono bags and tea pots and sandals.. love that place. Anyways the hotel is in a great location. Staff are great. The lobby looks nice and smells good. The room itself is a bit dated , beds are firm but heater works good, couldn’t figure out how to work the AC but didn’t need it in the winter, housekeeper are wonderful, bathroom is great water pressure and hot water is great. They also give you little amenities like slippers toothbrush etc it’s awesome. Room is pretty big for Japan. We got two kids two adults it fits us ok

It's an old style hotel but the room is clean and big. The bed is comfortable. The hotel is right in the middle of Yokohama Chinatown! It is close to every thing you need like subway and buses.

I really enjoyed the rooftop pool and the fact that parking was covered for 24 hours through a small fee. The city is at your fingertips which makes it so easy. The only thing is the pool was free last year, now we have to pay ¥1,000 per adult which wasn’t written in the Expedia site.

This is our third time staying here. The price is great, the rooms are large enough for our family. You can walk across the street to China town. Walk down the block to the harbor park area and visit an old passenger ship, you can walk to all the homes built in the 1920’s. The hotel is in the perfect location. Plus, it has FREE small roof top pool. It’s the only hotel we have EVER returned to. Live it.

I really like this hotel. It's a bit old, but does not feel dirty in anyway. Our main objective was to eat Chinese food and play in the pool and it's exactly what we did.
The pool is great! Not many people since it was a weekday. The only thing I miss was a pool bar. It would have been nice to have a beer by the pool. Softdrinks were available through a vending machine though.

We like this hotel, it’s our second time here. There is a nice small pool on the roof. It’s located in China town. We can easily fit our 4 person family in the room without having to stay in two rooms like most hotels in Japan. There is a waterfront within walking distance and a great old ship that is now a museum. The staff was very nice especially the parking staff.

Great place to rest up. The room was clean and spacious. They are a bit on the older side though, and it shows a bit. Limit number of plugs in the room.

They offer holding your luggage before/after your stay. Staff speak decent English.

Hotel is very conveniently located in Chinatown. An airport shuttle to Haneda stops in front of the hotel, and it's close to a subway station.

Notice other guests get greet properly but not me when i check in. Most guests were lead to the room and given basic orientation of the hotel but not me. Hotel is very outdated so be aware. The toilet basin tap is horrible, you have to pull it up to use it. Not lifting up or shifting right and left. Each time you use the tap, you have to pull it up. The breakfast is very very expensive for a 2 star hotel. Something like 2500YEN or more, refuse to be extorted by such hotel. Outside hotel looks decent but inside speak differently and not in a good way.

The hotel is in the center of Yokohama China Toen. Great location. A couple of minutes to train station. But the hotel is seriously old and needs massive renovation to increase the hotel value. The hotel has no legit security system. Anyone can go to guest room floors, which i dot see in new hotels nowadays. The bathroom is tiny and old.
Hotel front staff was nice and polite. The bell desk staff doesn’t help anything if they guests are trying to find a taxi. They only work inside the hotel. Overall, good location but old style hotel.

駐車場の数が少ないようで、近くのパーキング案内！
ホテルの駐車場は荷物を預かるようなベルボーイはいない！
そして、駐車場で一旦荷物をおろすことも出来ない！
近くのコインパーキングあるから！！っと駐車場係に言われる、、歩いてもってこいっという案内ですね！
対応が悪すぎてびっくりしました！
２度と泊まることはないでしょう！
