The rooftop patio and gym was totally delightful!

The front desk personnel and the dining room employees were efficient, friendly and helpful.

Having a supermarket literally next door was fabulous!!

The shower was dirty, the towels were torn, and the beds were very hard.
When I left, I wasn't even given an acknowledgment, yet I was chased out when the front desk person was asking for the due tax. I toldher to charge it to the credit card on file and she said there was none and I needed to glow her back to pay. Extremely rude and embarrassing how she treated me, considering how much I spent for the stay. When I walked in, she went behind the counter and said that in fact there was a credit card on file, yet she didn’t apologize for treating me like a thief.

Second stay within a week

Our second stay within a week. The first time was a 10/10. Second time, I will only give 8.5/10 as the bedding was badly made and the pillows were paper thin (useless).
Other than that, I would definitely recommend it and come back without hesitation (I would just request better pillows 😉).

The hotel parking not free, we had to search for a parking outside every time. The caretaker sitting at the entrance useless, not even reply to our good morning, we thought he was a client at first, we said hi many times with no reply. At restaurants they welcome us with stress no smile at all, they ask if we’ve paid several times, was still not sure 🤔 she kept saying she doesn’t have the information. Apart from that the rest personal reception maintenance everything and everyone was great 👍 5 star ⭐️

Friendly and helpfull staff. However it is let down by the lack of restaurants or proximity to the beach. The pictures give the impression that it is a beach front hotel but the beach is actually a 15 minutes walk down and a 30 minute walk up (unless you are an athelete)

The hotel it’s self is modern and comfortable. However the food in the restaurant was really very poor indeed. The night I stayed, I was the third guest to complain. I was really rather ill afterwards. Very disappointing from such a large Hotel Chain. My company had a large global spend with Marriott hotel group. I will be reporting back about this. However what I would say, the staff were extremely helpful ! They all did their very best to ensure I was ok after I complained. It’s not their fault and they did really do all they could to make things better. They also refunded my food bill. I don’t like making a complaint as I do feel it’s unfair on the front of house staff. It’s not their fault ! Also the menu of the restaurant is very very limited if you do not eat fish (I can not eat any fish or seafood) it left me with one meal choice ! I had to order from the bar menu

This is my second long stay at the Genova AC hotel this year. It was a business trip for me but I came with my family too. It is my favourite hotel in town. It’s in a great location, it is clean, modern, looked after. The new lounge, bar and restaurant area is lovely. My only problem with it is the pillows, which are way too soft and bulky and they offer no support, as well the heating/ac arrangement. But apart from that it is a great hotel and the staff are truly caring and lovely. Thank you, I will be back again for sure!

The staff were excellent, from our housekeeper to the manager everyone was professional, pleasant, and very courteous. Our initial experience upon arrival wasn’t very good, but Federica was a delight to work with and she and her staff made our stay absolutely wonderful! I would definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone going to Genova.

It was ideal for an overnight stay, situated on the outskirts of Genoa.

Great hotel, horrible location!

The hotel feels updated and room is very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and willing to help.
However, hotel is located by a busy expressway and it is so noisy that you won’t be able to sleep without ear plugs!

Also, the hotel offers a very small number of parking spaces in their garage, so depending on your arrival time you will have to find a spot on the adjascent street (and you will still be charged for that, btw...)

hotel room was fine, and nice breakfast. but wifi reception is very poor. also not a nice neighborhood. bus is only option unless you want to spend a lot on taxis. Bus is cheap..1.5 euro, but some of the people on the bus are undesirable.

Terrible air conditioning that never cooled the room below 80F/27C and worse turns off each time you remove your key to leave the room. Far too stingy on utilities for the price paid for the room. Had better and more modern climate control in a 16th century B&B in Tuscany than this modern hotel. Would not recommend between May and September and who knows, maybe you freeze your buns off in the winter.

First thing the room safe didn't work so it took two (polite) guys about 30 to fix it by changing the battery. Bathroom was nice. It had nice large towels and a bidet. Room wifi is really slow and drops a lot. With room set up for two kids sharing sofa bed it becomes a tight squeeze in the room. And the kids complained the sofa bed was uncomfortable. We paid ahead of time for breakfast, but everyone gets access to the decent buffet style bkfst and no one pays. The surrounding area seemed a little sketchy and there is a very small parking garage underneath the hotel.

There was a guy at the front desk who was absolutely amazing. Told us to walk down to Il Focone and order Focaccia Al Fromaggi. He was also just extremely helpful in general. Easily one of the best things Ive ever had! Would highly recommend this hotel if staying in Genoa.

Hotel is convenient to important bus stops. The staff at the front desk could supply bus passes, no surcharge, and were most helpful in planning our bus travel to see the city. Housekeeping was excellant, dining room staff could not have been more helpful and were very welcoming to us. Convenient and secure parking for a reasonable charge. Wonderful first night in Italy

Relatively modern facility in a nice part of Genoa

A short walk (20 minutes) takes you to the shore with its beautiful seaside walk, seaside restaurants, and neat streets and houses. One of the best things about it is that it is beautiful enough for tourists but not made for them. Nervi is very close (one or two stops by bus, or a 8-10 minutes by Taxi/car.) Nervi is a nice park with a walk that offers a brilliant view of the sea.) There aren't many stores to buy things around (for shopping) but a supermarket and a bank branch are located immediately next to the hotel.

The rooms were clean, beautiful and comfortable. There is a small exercise area and a pretty solarium (worth visiting on a sunny day to take some photos of the city.) WiFi is available in the rooms for a fee. It is free in the lobby.
About the only useful thing missing from the room was an iron. Our shirts could use a press after we took them out of luggage. When we asked for an iron in the reception, they said the ones they have are all being used by other guests and advised us to come back in the morning and check again.
The receptionists spoke fairly good English. Many American guests were staying there, I thought.

The breakfast was one of the best I've had in any Hotel anywhere. Just remember: Latte means regular milk in Italy.

We arrived for a 4 night stay which was very pleasant. The hotel wasn't crowded when we arrived so were a little dubious but then had the added excitement of the Palermo Football team staying on Saturday night, much to the delight of my wife! Overall a good hotel and excellent service. One very valid point. The pillows were very, very soft and gave no support to the neck so please ... change these if possible, or at least have some alternative ones for those who require firmer pillows. Overnighter before heading home.

We stayed in this hotel after a cruise. It's a good 30 minute cab ride from the terminal and there is almost nothing in the surrounding area except apartment buildings. A 10 minute bus ride will take you to the waterfront which is pleasant. The crown molding in our room was actually caulk, the wallpaper was peeling dreadfully, the bed was stiff and creaky and I swear I could feel the springs. The bathroom door didn't actually shut, it swung through and didn't fit the size of the door frame which basically eliminated privacy. The room service menu was minimal and extremely overpriced. Internet was overpriced, as well. The in-room guide to the marriot indicated that a car service was available, which was not the case. The lobby is nice, and the staff were helpful enough and spoke English. Other than that, not impressed. I wouldn't stay again.

Good location which is close to some seaside towns nearby such as Nervi. For the price, I expect better service - there is no free wifi (10 euro per day) and no free parking (15 euro per day). Good breakfast buffet spread. Staff are business like - as expected of a business hotel, no more, no less. Because I was on vacation, I didn't quite enjoy the business like service.

Good value for money

We stayed at this hotel in the middle of the worst flood event in Genoa in 40 years. But despite the clear signs of damage in the hall, all services were up and running when we arrived, and the personnel very professional. Work continued overnight and by the next morning there was almost no sign of damage left.
The room was very comfortable, very spacious and quiet. The bathroom was clean and tidy, and also spacious.
We were only disappointed by the quality of the restoration. Not because it was bad, but because it was very standard. Not different from any other hotel of the same category across Europe. But given this is in Genoa, Italy we were expecting some more: the coffee came from an automatic machine and focaccia alla Genovese was missing! :-)
This is a fairly standard hotel for its category, if you rent a car it will be a good base to visit the surroundings of Genoa (the riviera on the east of the city is lovely). But If you don't have a car you will be at least half an hour away from anything you want to see in Genoa, by public transport that is.

The hotel itself was very modern and clean with a wonderful restaurant, but although within the city of Genoa, it wasn't really within walking distance of anything of interest. We had to take a taxi about 5 kilometers into the center of the city to see any sights of historical significance.Fortunately, it was the last night of our European vacation and we were just looking for a clean, quiet place to stay - this hotel fit the bill.

Good hotel in a quiet neighborhood with a nice walk without tourists possible. However avoid the restaurant - run away. The menu sounds Italian but the food is microwaved and not from the day. Better to go to the supermarket just 1mn away and make you a sandwich.

AC Genova- going in the wrong dirction

Anybody that has done any traveling is familiar with the ac brand and its reputation for excelence. When we first arrived in this property it seemed more lkie a 5star than a 4star property with its marble lobbies and plush surrounding. Enterring our room did not change that impression with the large lcd tv, green marble bathroom (complete with bidet), and hardwood floors. As our vist continues, however, it seems that the hard-working, pleasant service personel are under-staffed. The business center is promoted in the htel literature to be stocked with several internation papers and periodicals; there was one local paper and one catholic magazine. The lounge was supposed to have coffee and other offerings available 24 hours a day, and it was never stocked or manned. The roof top balcony was littered with cigarette butts and there was several areas in the hotel marked with water stains.On Sunday morning, I had planned on rising early and going to the health club to take a sauna and shower there so not to wake my friend. When I got to the health club, there were not towels, no hot water, and no sauna. Upon checking out that day, we asked if there would be a dicount due to the hot water, and we were told because we had booked with Hotel.com that was not possible. I reiterate, this is a quality porperty with a concientious staff. It just appears they are undermanned and struggling to keep up with the expected standards of the AC brand. The breakfast buffet was very good. The location is convenient , especailly if you decide you want ot head south to check out Cingue Terre. Going to the Old port and city central is a 15 minute bus ride witht he bus stop just across the street from the hotel.

Großes Zimmer mit großen Bad. Ingesamt ist das Hotel gut jedoch bereits etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Gänge sind sehr dunkel und würde etwas mehr Licht vertragen.
Parkgarage für 16€ am Tag waren in Ordnung. Bus direkt vor dem Hotel ins Zentrum - dauert ca.25 Min.
