The room was very clean and the bed quite comfortable. It is a older property, but seemed to be very well maintained. I did not use any other facilities like laundry, pool or gym. The breakfast was adequate. The hotel is in a nice safe area of town. It was a good experience for a single traveler.

This was a terrible stay. I had booked a 2 night stay and had to check-out after 1 night. This hotel is falling into disarray. The clean the carpets and booked people into rooms that still had wet carpet. Even with the ac running, the room was damp. Even the sheets. I requested to move to another room and the same issue. I had to get 2 blankets to spread on the bed to not sleep on damp sheets. The ceilings were cracked and showed signs of leaks, tub drain was broken, poorly painted touch ups and the breakfast offered left much to be desired.

The hotel had a noticeable odor throughout my stay, which was particularly strong in the hallways. It resembled a stale, urine like smell that appeared to be masked with cleaning chemicals, though I would say they were not effective. The odor seemed more pronounced at night.

Within the room, the carpet also had a slight unpleasant scent. Additionally, the elevator flooring felt soft in certain areas, which raised some concerns about maintenance. During my stay, there also appeared to be issues with leaks in parts of the property.

On a positive note, the staff were excellent, they were friendly, professional, and accommodating. The room itself appeared clean; however, the overall environmental concerns made the space feel less hygienic than expected.

This hotel property is in serious. Need of a refurbish paint was peeling and chipping from the walls in the bathroom. The hairdryer was clogged with somebody else’s hair. Thermostat on the wall was still there, but it didn’t do anything should’ve been removed the dresser the TV was on had previous holes in it from where the old TV used to be which looked terrible.
The shower curtain wouldn’t close all the way because the bracket was broken on one end.
Bed sheet on top was stained, mirror was dirty
Definitely do not plan on staying at this hotel again unless it’s seriously is completely remodeled.

Room was old, no where to plug phones in but behind the bed or a wall with nothing there, room smelled like wet dog, bed skirting was dirty, power went out from 7:00 am to after noon, we had to come back to take showers in afternoon, no hand rail for shower to get in or out, came back to room in evening on Sunday and room was not cleaned or at least no clean towels left, I was told they were a green hotel; I said if so why don’t you have bars to hang the towels on to dry? Swimming pool was full of leaves and landscaping was full of trash for our 3 day stay. Will not recommend hotel or go back. Breakfast was not very good. Limited selection.(no fruit or yogurt) went to get coffee in the morning 9:30 and was taken up (no cups) No compensation for inconvenience.

This hotel needs a MAJOR renovation or complete tear down and start over. Entire building is old and tired...rooms smelled of age....and don't even think about looking behind a dresser for an outlet because you don't want to see what might be behind. In my 40 plus years of traveling, this has to rank as one of the worst.

On a positive note, the desk staff was friendly....its not their fault that the property is in such a state.

I recently stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Sawgrass Mills and had an exceptional experience, largely thanks to the General Manager, Tequila Washington.

From the very first interaction, she was warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. Every time I approached the front desk, she handled everything with such ease and genuine care—it honestly stood out. It’s rare to encounter someone in hospitality who goes above and beyond so consistently, but she truly does.

She is an absolute asset to the property, and I hope her work is recognized. Because of her, I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend this hotel to others.

Lamentablemente, el hotel es muy viejo, no le han dado un buen mantenimiento, requiere una renovación urgente. El olor no es agradable. Las alfombras están sucias y viejas. Bromeamos que los pasillos parecían del hotel de la película The Shining. El sofá que estaba en la habitación estaba tan sucio que no se podía usar. I booked this hotel based on my past experiences with La Quinta by Wyndham, which are usually clean, well-maintained, and a solid 3-star stay. Unfortunately, this location didn’t meet those expectations. The property felt quite dated and in need of renovation. Cleanliness could have been better, with noticeable issues like partially painted doors and cracks in the walls. Overall, it had more of a budget motel feel than what I’m used to from this brand. The pool was also not clean, which was disappointing. I likely wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

This was the dirtiest and most unkept hotel I have ever stayed at. Not only was the building old and needs significant updating, but it was filthy. There was dirt all over the floor and we did not even have a shower curtain so water got all over the bathroom floor when we had to take a shower. The pillowcases had black marks all over them that appeared to be make up, the doors did not properly lock and it felt very unsafe. Just walking through the hallways smelled like mold and marijuana. It was an absolute disgrace and I would not let my dogs stay there. I actually felt sorry for the cleaning staff because it was a parent. They were trying their best, but I don’t know how they could possibly make an impact in that kind of environment.

I was charged before I even checked in, which was concerning. Upon arrival, I politely asked the front desk associate for clarification, but he was agitated, unhelpful, and unfriendly from the start. Additionally, his personal hygiene was poor, and his breath was noticeably unpleasant, which made the interaction even more uncomfortable.

When I entered the room, I found it in an extremely unsanitary condition incl7dong mold in numerous places. There was a significant amount of long black hair on the bathroom floor and even inside the bed. Additionally, I discovered what appeared to be fecal matter on the sheet at the end of the bed. The ceiling was dirty, and the entrance door did not close properly. On one occasion, I returned to find the door partially open, which raised serious safety concerns.

There was a strong smell of marijuana throughout the hotel. The coffee provided was of very poor quality, and the apple juice was spoiled, which caused me to become ill.

Overall, this was the worst hotel experience I have ever had! I expect this matter to be addressed promptly.

I walked into the room and walked out immediately. There was a damp, sour, moldy, pool water smell that I had a visceral reaction to. I went to the front desk to see if I could change rooms. They were fully booked, so I started the process of working with Expedia to get a refund so I could find different accommodations. The front desk was initially helpful, but when it came time to speak with the Expedia representative he took the call in the back room instead of at the front desk, and I heard him minimize what the smell was and say all I had to do was run the AC. I called him on the dishonesty and he said he would check the room himself. We went to the room together and he again tried to tell me all I had to do was run the AC for a couple hours. That was unacceptable- the AC had already been running and they don't advertise their rooms as \"good room, with a smell until you run the AC for a while,\" nor did I believe that would change anything. Back at the desk he then tried to say that he couldn't authorize it until the manager was there at 7am. I wouldn't be there to advocate for myself and the manager would probably just say the room was fine... 6 hours later (it was 1am at this point). He texted his manager and we were at an impasse until someone called the hotel looking for a room. He sold them my room and at that point the refund was initiated. Cherry on top was seeing a cockroach on the couch in the main lobby. Do not stay here!

The pictures online are deceiving. The hotel is not modern, nor is it upkept. The rooms are run down, the sofas have noticeable and extensive staining. The elevators were dirty and the showers were not maintained.

The most concerning aspect of our stay was that there was a family of raccoons that would come out at night which took over a large portion of the parking lot. A majority of the trip I was getting to the hotel later at night only to be met by a plethora of wildlife.

While the hotel is cheap, highly recommend staying elsewhere.

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The property is in poor condition, with a strong unpleasant smell throughout, and it is clearly not well maintained. It feels like there has been little to no upkeep for quite some time.

On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and polite, which I truly appreciated. However, their kindness does not make up for the overall state of the hotel.

The biggest issue is the gap between expectations and reality. The hotel looks much better on social media and online photos than it does in person. What is advertised does not reflect the actual experience.

This hotel was in desperate need of complete renovation. It was old and filthy; the elements of the room (furniture, linens, doors, walls, carpet, etc.) were in atrocious condition. I was only there for a single night otherwise I would have left immediately. I don't need a palace, but I do need very clean and tidy. I thought I was going to be sick when I saw it. We had a 4 hour drive to get there for appointments at Cleveland Clinic Hospital. By the time we checked in we had undergone a day of testing after a long drive. We wee too exhausted to go elsewhere so we toughed it out for a night. The sheets I slept on were so pilled it felt like I was sleeping on piles of sand. Suffice it to say I will be booking the rooms from here on out as my husband doesn't check reviews.

We got to pur room 127 and the first thing I noticed was a gouge on the top of the dresser. Then the drain plug with rist was just lying in the tub . Then the TV could not connect for us to watch March madness basketball. The bed was nice.
