We had a one night stay at the Wingate. Found the room needs improvement on cleaning. We found stains and food crumbs on the desk and table. The bathroom vanity was not cleaned. There was a used bottle of shampoo left in the bathtub, the towels appeared to be rummaged through and weren't neatly stacked, not sure if they were clean or used. The bathroom lights behind the mirror started to flash for no reason, it felt like I was in a nightclub. The TV remote was sticky. Found a live cockroach/water bug in the common area. The included breakfast was very basic, sausage, eggs, cereal and bread.

The bathroom ceiling was loose due to a leak. There were holes made to let water drain out obviously along with a circle of black mold indicating how long this problem has been around. The toliet was dirty inside and the refrigerator was so dirty inside. Where the water drains looked like dirty mop water. My daughter and her family had to go to 4 rooms before they got a room clean enough to stay. Thankfully the newly hired 2nd shift manager was nice and worked to find a clean room. We made a note not to stay there again on our biannual trip to Florida.

The room was disgusting. It had used soap bars in the shower that also looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or wiped down in months. The room smelled so musty/moldy and everything felt damp. The floor had a soft spot on it near the a/c unit. We needed to switch to a different room which was not much better but at least looked clean(er) and like the bed had been made. It still smelled and we all woke up with sore throats and stuffy noses from the mold I assume. We would have left the hotel had it not been a very late check in and our young children were exhausted from a long car trip. Never again will I stay at a Wingate by Windham. The desk attendant was nice but he did not seem surprised at our concerns at all so the must get this a lot. Definitely avoid at all costs.

The room was not ready for us when we arrived. The room door was open which was very concerning. Anyone could have walked in or have been in there when we arrived. The bathroom was not ready at all. There were no new soaps ready. The old guests’ soaps were leftover and the soapbar was lodged in the shower door. There was no toilet paper. There was only one towel for 3 guests. The pillows were very uncomfortable. The hallway lighting was flickering in the lobby which made the vibe look sketchy. The staff was not very friendly or welcoming. The breakfast was a joke. The juice machine did not work at all. There was barely any food available. Also the coffee pot was empty and no one around to replenish it, and the food was way overcooked. Overall, very bad stay.

Our stay was horrible. The location felt sketchy, had unsure people constantly walking around. Didn't know if it vehicle would get broken into or not. We booked a suite with jetted bathtub, the keys did not work and black stuff kept coming from the filter from the tub. The receptionist moved us to another room claiming it had a jetted tub and it did not, so she moved us again to a no suite room with a jetted tub and again the jetted tub did not work. So we were stuck in a nonsuite, nonjetted bathtub tiny room. We tried the hot tub outside, it was very warm but extremely dirty. The hallways and stairs smelled of strong cigarette smoke. Our stay was horrible, the staff were very friendly and that's about the only good thing I can say about this place. I give it a 0.5/10 and I do not recommend this place to anyone.

There was a dirty sock in the corner of the room and moldy ice cream left in the fridge.

The guy at the front desk obviously did not want to be there/ he had the welcoming personality of a damp rag. I wanted to tell him: if he doesn’t want to work and greet people optimistically then go home!

The place was dirty, rub down, and neglected. It’s best to drive 29 minutes further down the road to the next exit.

When I checked in the guy at the front desk was rude. We couldn’t even take a shower that night because the shower was dirty. The shower head was disgusting. Went down the next morning for breakfast which they say is a full breakfast and was eggs, grits sausage, and some bread. The lady didn’t even pull all of the breakfast stuff out then when I asked her about somebody cleaning the bathroom, she’s like oh well we can’t do nothing right now I’m by myself and no other staff comes in till nine then she called somebody and I guess they told her that they would be there at 8:45 we almost an hour later they came after I went back downstairs. They finally came upstairs and she said the shower doors are old no matter what I used they’re gonna look nasty and then she cleaned the showerhead but right after we used it. It was all nasty and dirty again.

I was staying for 7 nights, after night 4th I requested a service, just for the bathroom and for more paper, it was not performed, on the fallowing day I request it again and never happened, also they may check the system for to open the entry door of the rooms because every day when I got there, I had to come back to the reception to set it again. Breakfast I think could be variable, almost the same for 7 days. Thank you!!!

This hotel is for working men.
Room/hotel had musty smell. Lots of noise outside window. Motorcycles, music, people drinking.
If you're looking for a nice clean place to stay spend the extra $20 and go somewhere. I wish I had.

First of all we get to our room and no toilet paper. No worries it was quickly rectified. The quilt on the one bed had a very foul odor so I didn’t sleep in it. The day we were leaving the breakfast was nothing like the pictures. No cold cereal no milk no waffles and two pieces of fruit. Sad. Should not advertise breakfast.

When we got there i had everything paid for online, and on the booking site it never ONCE stated id have to put a 50$ deposit down (the would be returned when i left) so i had to do cash because i dont use cards often,the manager told me she'd be back to give me my money on the 7th and she was not there,so the employee had to do a run around, thank goodness the employee was good and got me my money. Also it did not state in the booking site that the amenities were under construction, i booked it because of the hot tub and activities but it was all closed off and i was not warned of it prior to my stay. I will not be booking with this person again i was so disappointed and i believe i should have a 1/4 of what i paid for it back for the disappointment and false advertising.

I’m very disappointed with house keeping l was told that they only cleaned the rooms on Thursday and Tuesday and I arrived on Thursday so I was denied room cleaning service for the entire stay housekeeping offered me a change of bedding for to do it myself and I declined the offer because I am paying for my room and I should have room cleaning services and I had to walk out to the other hotel for check out because she said no one showed up so she had to cover both sides. I did not appreciate going over there for check out and I had to walk back to the parking lot l am disabled and wasn’t up for the extra walk also a dog was in the breakfast area and no staff around.Overall I am disappointed with this hotel since they just clean rooms that were checked out and do room cleaning service only on Thursday and Tuesday….

Room smells musty.
Room tiles leading to area are lifted and make cracking sounds and you can hear them each time someone walks over them.
Shower curtain in handicap bathrpom is not long enough to allow shower use- without water leaking all over the bathroom floor at least 2 feet away from shower when its used- potentially causing a slip & fall it not wiped up right after use.

The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The pool and adjacent areas were closed for refurbishing. I didn't want to swim - it was chilly out - a place to sit and relax outside would have been nice. They also need to designate a smoking area. There were cigarette butts in all the gravel areas. With no trash bins or cigarette disposal areas outside.

The studio 320 needs a couple of needs. First of all in the bathroom, the mirror as splash of others. They have no toilet paper holder. And the toilet have to be fixed. One soap for two and no body gel it’s not enough
In the room the microwave was dirty inside and the coffee machine have dust on the top and no coffee.
The breakfast and the breakfast have no choices and no place to sit.
The positif point is the lady at the office she doing the better that she can. She was alone.

As we entered the room there was a definite odor. What it was was the rug had been cleaned and it still was wet. It was left to dry wet. Didn’t realize it until we took our shoes off around 11pm. Breakfast was a 👎. No plates,no napkins, no coffee stirrers, home fries hard and rubbery. Eggs dry and tasteless. Had my own plate I brought.. but ended up tossing breakfast in the trash.

First off, i was greeted by a friendly, happy woman. We talked like we knew each other. The room was a nice size and clean. Breakfast was very nice. Only thing noticed was the water pressure was very low. I had to take along shower to get the shampoo out. We will stay again and recommend it.

This place had high ratings but it was terrible. The check in was inconvenient. The room wasn't clean in AC unit kept moisture in the rug and every surface in the room a slip hazzard. The shower door handle was broken. The shower had 2 used bars of soap in it. I was highly disappointed.

This affordable property provided several surprises. It was in the midst of renovations, and it felt as though someone had laid the carpet on the ground in front of my feet, and painted the hallways leading to the door of my room. It was clean and ready for me when I arrived. I could tell that the work was continuing elsewhere and knew that many of the rooms did not look like mine. Because of that, I had a very affordable weeks stay. Well done!

The room made me very sick. I took a nap and woke up with my face swollen, could barely breath with a horrible cough.

I am VERY ALLERGIC to mold. I immediately left the room and asked for a refund. They told me I would have to ask for it through Expedia, even though I paid them directly.

I rented a different hotel room and asked Expedia for a refund. A WEEK LATER, Expedia told me they couldn’t get in contact the hotel management so I couldn’t get a refund.

So I got sick and paid double for one night because their rooms are moldy.

DO NOT STAY HERE.
