I liked it. The hotel keep old furnitures and local visual well preserved that looks like new. The breakfast is also awesome. I intend to stay again when returning to Bremen.

The location was well placed for the station and about a 10 min walk from the old town. The immediate area was a little seedy but nobody bothered us.

The hotel was clean and rocked the boxes. Prices mirrored the experience.

Breakfast was fine.

One observation that needs improving was I had one pillow which was very soft. I asked for a second and they refused saying there aren’t any.

It may not be the Ritz but that wasn’t acceptable.

That aside it was all fine.

5 mins walk from station, not the best area but still felt safe and street seemed quiet (I was facing the rear)

Hotel clean, room simple but had everything I needed, bed comfortable. Breakfast tasty fresh and plentiful and a reasonable choice. Everything topped up regularly by the staff.

Reception staff deserve special mention for 2 occasions. Firstly, I arrived approx. 10.30 and was hoping to store luggage until check in but room was ready! This was very welcoming. Just advised to put do not disturb sign out. Second was that I requested an extra pillow when going out and this was there when I returned - small things make the difference.

For the price, the hotel is very good value, I would definitely book again if returning

There is nothing around the hotel so if you need anything, you’ll need to go to the station. The walk between the hotel and station felt a bit dodgy, especially at night. The breakfast was good. The room was very simple but clean.

It was a simple basic room. It is walkable to all the areas you want to go (station, schoor, parks). The area around the station at night feels a bit unsafe (like many other main train stations). There’s nothing really around the hotel, so buy your things at the station. The hotel had a nice breakfast. The room was clean. I’d recommend it.

When we arrived, we were accosted by homeless people. The street in front of the hotel had evidence of homeless and it was never cleaned during our stay. You could not walk to town without passing homeless and drug use. Not in a safe area and our stay was miserable. The actual hotel was okay and clean but dated, the front desk staff was extremely rude and unhelpful.

There was no one at the desk on arrival. The room was small and very basic. The room was very hot and didn’t have air conditioning. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillow provided was about as comfortable as a tea towel. The bathroom was very small and had the feel of a cross Chanel ferry. The room was spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. Not value for money.

The rooms are nice, but getting luggage to them is tricky. There is only a small elevator and quite a few stairs. Breakfast was nice though. The surrounding area feels a little unsafe to travel with kids, but if you are ok with it the 20 minute walk to the Schnoor district is lovely.

The staff at the hotel was really service oriented. They were friendly and helpful going the extra mile to make sure we had enough pillows and a place to store our luggage after check out. Breakfast was one of the best during our entire Germany trip with a great selection of hot and cold food. The room was very spacious with great amenities.

The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious well resourced and clean. The shower did go hot and cold at times but ok. The beds were comfy and we slept well. The breakfast was excellent. The area around the area felt a bit unsafe with a lot of unsavoury characters and apparent drug users but we were not threatened. overall a great stay and good value

Lovely little old-style hotel. Very professional staff. Breakfast is far above level of other local hotels in this category, Very complete spread served in elegant dining room with outstanding service. Rooms are a bit old fashioned in a charming way. There is a very short stretch of dodgy businesses to pass between station and hotel, but I never felt unsafe and the location proved to be extremely convenient for trains, shopping and the old town. Based on comfort, location and value, this is one of my top two choices for Bremen, beating out three higher category hotels where I've stayed on previous visits.

Note that the front entrance must be reached by stairs. Staff is very quick to offer assistance with bags, but this might be an issue for guests with limited mobility.

Hotel is modest but clean and very functional. Wifi worked well. The only small issue was that the brotherhood around the hotel felt perfectly safe but wasn't family friendly: I feel if have a lot of explaining to do if I had young ones.

Three steps forward, two steps back

Room spacious, bed comfortable, convenient to train station. The stepdown into the bathroom is potentially dangerous, especially for seniors. Tub slippery, no handles, towels thin. Bedside lamps useless for reading, but floor lamp helped somewhat. I asked if checkout could be extended 1 1/2 hours and was told it would cost 15 Euros extra, which is petty and outrageous.

It is within walking distance of all the Old Town, My room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. Lighting was sufficient to read in bed. There was a small fridge wirh drunks and sweet, which I did not make use of, but I would not have expected this in a single room.

Fine for a brief stay.

I was travelling through BREMEN and this hotel suited my needs. Pretty close to the main station, it was fine. The room was small but adequate. The bathroom was good. No complaints. There was a bar fridge and a kettle to make tea. My only complaint would be the rather soft pillow. Many hotels neglect these and they are so important for a good nights sleep. I did not avail of breakfast, as I needed to catch an early train. I would recommend and would stay again.

Good hotel, close to pretty much everything

After seeing reviews on the hotel about its location and the type of shops and clubs that are very close to the hotel we were a little anxious about our stay. After spending 3 nights there we were very surprised, it was very quiet and ended up being quite a nice street with no issues. The hotels very close to the main train, tram and bus station and a 15 min walk away from the burgerpark and from the city centre. breakfast seems a little expensive at 16€ but there's lots of places very locally to eat breakfast. Rooms are a good size and beds are comfortable, Overall very good hotel and stay, would stay here again!

Used the hotel as a base of travel in Western Niedersachsen and Bremen itself. Given its location less than 5 minutes walk from the main station and 10 minutes from the city centre, the hotel was perfect for my needs.

Approximately 250metres from the main railway station and easily found.
Really nice feel to the hotel on arrival and nice clean room with excellent bathroom,desk and chair, kettle,tv and several plug sockets.
I declined the breakfast offer at €14.90 each morning and bought at the station which has a variety of shops.
Not much noise at nights even with the window open.
Will definitely use this hotel as a Bremen based hotel again.

Christmas market visit to Bremen

After a confusing start as the computer said that they were fully booked and had no record of our reservation, the man at reception was apologetic at the confusion-someone had cancelled and we had booked on line. The room was in fact 2 rooms one with twin and the other with bunk beds so plenty of room and tastefully decorated. Plenty of tea and coffee. Only stayed one night but would stay again if in the area. Came to see the Christmas markets which were well worth the visit. Town area had massive shopping area with up market brands as well as the usual high street brands. Need a car to do the shopping or to be ok with public transport etc.

Sweet charming B&B-vibe hotel

I arrived very late and was given keys to my room without fuss. Elevators = not carrying luggage up stairs, thank goodness. Hotel was clean and comfortable and reception helped out where they could with holding my luggage while I traipsed around the next day and finding me a phone charger. Their seating area downstairs isn't great to work and I wish they'd let me go back up for five minutes to take pictures but I imagine that's policy. Only bad thing was the summer bugs — nothing that wouldn't let me sleep though. Very good value for money. I'd stay again.

Older high-rise hotel that must change companies so often that they can't label the building. Had to ask the receptionist in the lobby if it was the Novum. We didn't think the neighborhood (a block from the hauptbahnhof) looked very safe and we could hear neighborhood noise from our room late into the night. Staff seemed friendly enough, room was comfortable with a big bathroom, elevator tempermental. Parking to some above-ground spaces and a below-ground garage was through a narrow entry passage with a gate controlled from the lobby. In summary, we should have spent a few more euros for a better place.

There was no working free wi-fi inside the room. Only when you step outside the room the wi-fi was working and even then it was a poor connection. Guests must not rely on the wi-fi at the hotel.
Also, check out time is 11:00 strictly. They said they would charge me for an extra if I checked out more than 15 minutes late. Luckily, I checked out only 10 minutes late and did not have to pay the extra amount. The other issue is the early check in policy of the hotel. My flight was in the morning and I had to check in at 11:30 am which cost me an extra €15 for early check in. I was surprised about this since I never had to pay a fee for early check in before.

A bit noisy

I liked the hotel, but it was quite noisy somehow in my room. I don't sleep all that well, and hotels are hardly ever an oasis of silence. But this time, I felt that I hear way more of the people coming back from pub, and leaving early in morning, than usual. I was close the staircase, so maybe that's that. I wouldn't want to exaggerate the issue, small annoyance though.

Die Zimmer sind praktisch eingerichtet und sauber, allerdings Mann hört alles was im Flur passier, ich bin oft wach gewesen auf Grund der Lautstärke. Nettes Personal. Frühstück war einfach, aber alles war frisch und lecker. Im großen und Ganzen sehr guter Preis Leistung Verhältnis. Ich komme wieder.

Sehr nah am Bahnhof und kurze Wege zur Innenstadt!
Tolle kräftige Dusche. Zimmer rustikal, sauber und ordentlich. Insgesamt ein gepflegtes älteres Haus mit kleinem Aufzug. Frühstück ist auch gut. Würde gerne wieder hier übernachten.
