Decent hotel just a 2 minute walk from Central Station. Perfect location to explore Berlin and direct trains to airport.
Nice clean modern rooms. Comprehensive vending facilities in the foyer for food, alcohol and other drinks hot and cold which is a nice touch. Hot water for tea and coffee available as well.
Nice bar shuts midnight.
Luggage storage via payable lockers.
Comfortable, good price. Happy to stay here again next time in Berlin.

Despite pre-check-in, long waiting times at reception with only one employee serving guests. The machine was not working. Other staff were busy with themselves. Unfriendly employees. Free public transport card not available despite club membership at the hotel.

Service nimmt von Mal zu Mal ab. Wegfall der Tageskarten, Nutzung von Zimmern vor der CheckIn Zeit (das ist vll sogar verständlich), kostenpflichtige Gepäckablage, Wlan nur gegen Erstellung eines H-Reward Profils …. Da fällt es einem schwer den Service- und Gastgebergedanken zu erleben.

Tuvimos un inconveniente por el desayuno. Al llegar realizamos el check in a eso de las 3am y nos indicaron que no tenías desayuno incluido que si queríamos incluirlo. Pues le indicamos que si. Al otro día nos percatamos que no tendríamos tiempo de poder ir a desuyunar el último día. Por lo que norificamos que no vamos a desayunar ese día. Si respuesta fue que no podían devolvernos el dinero que nos darían el desayuno to-go. Pues al no lograr cancelarlo, lo cual es ilógico, aceptamos. De más está decir que lo que se encontraba en el to-go no le hace justicia al precio que pagamos por el desayuno (diario). Al realizar el check out y solicitar recibo nos indicaron que no dan recibos pues realizamos la reservación por una página secundaria. Entiendo que la situación se manejó mal, ya que los cargos se realizan al hacer el check out.

It was an average hotel. With what you need to get sleep for the next day. Overall it was clean. The staff was okay, one of the towels had a hole in them and i had to go back downstairs to change towels. There is a hot water machine in the lobby. And everything else u got to pay up. Overall not bad. But nothing particularly great. Just a good place to get sleep.

Ett bra hotell i ett bra läge. Tyvärr var inte bemötandet det trevligaste vid incheck.
Efter ett flertal mail hade (trodde) jag checkat in och fått en qr-kod. Den funkade givetvis inte i maskinerna, och blev då tvungen att checka on över disk. Och man kände sig inte direkt välkommen, övrig personal var ok.

Very friendly staff, clean and large room, great location next to train station and the surrounding area was clean and safe. The only thing we didn't like was they charge to store your bags (we've visited 9 hotels in 6 countries on this trip and they're the only one who charged). They offered us to take the early check in fee instead, which came with a room upgrade, but I didn't like having to pay extra for a service others offered for free.

The stay was good. Service perfect and location excellent. Very clean and tidy apart from the carpets in the corridors. The room was simple almost DDR-style but the batheoom was top notch.
I was going to give the highest marks but something happened. On the the day of my departure I wanted to store my suitcase for some hours. I was made aware that the hotel had started with a digital system where you were forced to PAY for the storage by the hour. Very expensive too. I had stayed there for four nights spending a lot of money. Then the want to charge me for this service. I have tralelled the world for many years and I have never experienced this before.
I will NOT come back!

It’s okay. Basically a travelodge with a nice lobby. The staff aren’t especially friendly and the bedsheets are small and thin. The lights in the room are sketchy. However, it’s close to Hbf and inexpensive.

I stayed for 5 nights in early October. Temperture outside was a high around 58F, 14.4C. And low around 48F, 8.9C.
My room temperature varied between 24.5C and 26.1C, 76F and 79F. Way to warm for me. I am used to interior being 70F to 72F. 21C to 22.2 C.
I contacted the front desk on the first night, and they sent someone to my room who confirmed that the Air Conditioner was not working. He also confirmed that when I opened a window that it would not help cool the room at all because it just sucked air out the window that was coming into the room thru the warm vent, even though the thermostat was powered off. He said the front desk would get a hold of me later that night. No one ever called me that night with recommendations.
I went back to the front desk to find out what they were going to do. The front desk told me they had no note on my account concerning my complaint. She sent up a different person to check out my Air Conditioner, he used a device to read the air coming out of the vent and stated the lowest teperature possible coming from the vent was 24.5. He called the front desk and told them that all is normal.
I spent a lot of time in my hot room sweating. Could not get any real restful sleep.When I needed some relief, I could go and spend some time in the lobby where it was closer to 21C 70F.

Shame on you

The rest of my experience was excellent.

Es gab einige Probleme mit Staub. Da ich eine Stauballergie habe, konnte ich dadurch zeitweise kaum richtig atmen. Dieses Feedback habe ich auch der Hausverwaltung mitgeteilt. Ich habe ihnen gesagt, dass möglicherweise ein Problem mit der Lüftung besteht, da diese Staub ausstieß. Nachdem ich die Lüftung ausgeschaltet hatte, war es erträglicher.

This made it easy to get everywhere quickly

Really picked cause of closeness to Berlin train station, Intercity really impressed me from the staff to the cleanliness of the hotel. Checking in is a breeze and the lobby was a wonderful place to hang out and have drinks when the bar was open. Definitely add on the breakfast if you want a pretty good breakfast. The room was great as well, every detail of the room was used from the shelves by the bed for charging phones and other devices.

I have never stayed at hotel where I showed up and there was literally one pillow and one blanket. The bed was so uncomfortable I couldn’t sleep and the stuff is not available at night so you cannot get service between 11 PM and 8 AM if you want additional pillows or blankets. For a hotel that has hundreds of rooms that seems outrageous. I’ve never been to a place this ridiculous.

Check-in desk wanted us to upgrade - don’t fall for it. We’re also told bed was one with two dooners. Were happy rooms had two seperate beds. Take your coffee/tea, hot water available in foyer. Room serviced every 3 days, ran out of hand soap, was expected to replace canister ourselves over basin. Don’t expect room service. Good location to main station.

Ignore self service checkin, it wanted me to see a human after I missed my place in short checkin queue.

Otherwise wonderful, a tv that worked (unusal) excellent room good size & great shower. Free bottled watet on arrival, fridge not very cold! Very convenient for Berlin Hbf station. Take exit to Europaplatz, look right you will see a large \"glass box\" building. To the right are 2 hotels, walk between them the hotel is on the left just behind hotel, (or take the long way using online directions). Quiet area seemed safe, breakfast was good & included hot option. Easy walk to attractive area across the river

The hotel overall was nice and comfortable, and mostly clean. However, the carpets and the headboards of the beds were very stained and dirty. The towels were very thin and threadbare.

The breakfast buffet was tasty and plentiful with a variety of foods including a full English breakfast, eggs, breads, pastries and cereal, fruit, yogurts, meats and cheeses.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, except for one woman on our last day. She was quite rude and demanding when we checked out. We were asked to pay the city tax when we checked in and gave our credit card, but when we checked out this woman was very gruff about how we hadn't paid and never left a credit card and demanded we produce an invoice showing we had paid. I don't know what went wrong when we checked in, but somehow the charge never went through, I guess, but it was in no way our fault yet she acted like we were trying to defraud the hotel or something and was very impatient with us as we tried to figure out if we had actually paid since we were asked to pay at check-in and we did give a credit card.

A hotel with a nice location, next to the central station. The rooms are ok, but getting old. Towels should have been exchanged long time ago, simply worn out. From 4 nights, only one cleaning - not impressive. Hot food at breakfast is a little bit warmer than cold. So it's OK - three stars, but not more.

The room was very clean and spacious, and the location was excellent...only a few blocks walk to the train station. The breakfast buffet was very good, with a nice selection...coffee was excellent. The only issue is the front desk staff could've been a little friendlier...I had ask for change to use the vending machine in THEIR hotel, but the staff seemed to be put off and unhappy by my request by saying he didn't want to \"break\" a bill as large as mine (50 Euro)...to be fair, it was a relatively large denomination, but are they not prepared for such a request??

Booked this hotel since it was near the Central Station..I think that was the advantage of this property. I also availed their breakfast which was lovely and with plenty of options everyday.

My main concern was housekeeping was only if requested, no toiletries provided except for a small vanity pack with cotton buds and cotton pad. Also, the pillow was not like a pillow at all? It was flat. I had to request twice before I got another one. The bed was queen sized but the duvet was for very small. For the price of this hotel, I’ve expected better service.

Some of the staff seemed unapproachable but the rest were friendly and accommodating.

Great location for many reasons

We had a very nice stay to site see before flying out. The location was excellent. It is just a block from the main train station. The beds were on the firm side…so personal preference not to my taste. Would prefer a top sheet rather than a heavy comforter. To their credit they delivered extra pillows almost immediately upon request. Room was very quiet. Bathroom was well appointed with eco friendly soap, shampoo, etc. The shower was extremely slippery but spacious. Elevators (4 of them) were very speedy. Staff was friendly and helpful. We noticed afternoons are very busy. They have computers for easy check in but the two people we noticed trying to use them had difficulty and ended up in line. Not sure why.
The other advantage to staying there is it is close to several points of interest and the Hop on Hop off bus stop is just across the street. The train is also a 3 hour ride from Kiel if cruising (2 trains daily are direct) FEX train is 1/2 hour to the airport cost is under €10 for 2 adults.

Das Hotel liegt wenige Gehminuten vom Hauptbahnhof Berlin entfernt in einer relativ ruhigen Ecke der Stadt. Es ist modern und zweckmässig - aber auch etwas nüchtern eingerichtet. Grosses Plus sind meiner Meinung nach die Laminatböden, welche viel hygienischer sind als Teppiche. Die Zimmer verfügen über ein kompaktes, zweckmässiges Badezimmer mit Dusche und einem geräumigen Waschtisch. Das Bett war sehr bequem und das Zimmer machte einen sauberen Eindruck.
Was mir weniger gut gefiel, war die Verlagerung der Arbeit hin zum Gast: so soll man selbst einen Online-Check-In machen (der dann doch nicht funktionierte...) sowie einen Online-Check-Out (der auch nicht so recht funktionierte).
Das Zimmer wird standardmässig nicht mehr täglich gereinigt. Wenn man dies dennoch möchte, muss man dies aktiv bei der Reception verlangen - es gibt nicht einfach ein Schild, das man an die Türe hängen kann (\"Bitte Zimmer reinigen\"). Da werden wohl Sparmassnahmen unter dem Deckmantel des Umweltschutzes vermarktet - zumindest entstand für mich der Eindruck.
Da ich auch kein ÖV-Ticket mehr erhielt (war früher einmal der Standard), hat für mich dieses Hotel doch einiges an Servicequalität eingebüsst - ohne aber entsprechend günstiger zu werden. Da kann sich das hilfsbereite und freundliche Personal noch so sehr bemühen, diesen schalen Beigeschmack wird das Hotel nicht los.
Aber wer gut am HB Berlin schlafen möchte, der ist hier ganz ordentlich aufgehoben.
