The lady at the bar who serves me drinks was racist and flicked me in the back when she served snacks with the drinks I ordered. This behavior is not acceptable and tolerance of all races is a must in this day and age. I am asking for a refund of at least one night’s stay in view of this behavior.

Brilliant hotel and location, only
Let down by the bar staff, Regina especially. They didn’t have time to make cocktails, but we still placed our order, 50 minutes later still nothing and she did her best to ignore us. Very poor customer service and it’s not the guests fault if they are under staffed?

Well located and met quality expectations. No option offered for room not to be serviced daily which we found unusual. In room safe was prehistoric - credit card needed to secure which was impossible to operate due to how safe is installed (probably not a problem for most, who carries cash anymore?). Yummy candy to get us through the day.

We came to Berlin for the marathon and loved staying at the NH Collection Berlin! It was clean and comfortable, and the buffet breakfast was absolutely incredible, with a wide variety of options! I wish I had known the breakfast was so good so that I could have purchased breakfast when I booked the room. The location is also perfect (centrally located) with a train stop right across the street and so much within walking distance.

The hotel is right next to Friedrichstrasse station so it is super convenient to move around Berlin. The room is spacious and well equipped. Highly recommended if you are visiting Berlin for the first time.

My stay at this hotel was highly disappointing.

Several in-room issues stood out: the security box didn’t work, the air conditioner was extremely loud and disrupted my sleep, and the curtains were dirty and stained. The mattress and headboard were damaged, and parts of the flooring were peeling.

However, the most serious problem was the attitude of the staff. When I asked to change rooms, I was told there were no alternatives. Upon asking if there was any possible solution, I was met with a harsh retort: “Didn’t you hear what I said?” The next morning, another staff member responded in the same dismissive manner. At no point did anyone offer an apology. This appears to reflect a broader issue with customer service at this hotel.

Other points: free bottled water was only provided at check-in, and out of three elevators, one was always out of service while another often malfunctioned. Though the lobby was nicely decorated, it felt like the rooms and facilities had been neglected.

The positives were limited to strong shower pressure, effective soundproofing, and a convenient location near the station. Still, considering the price, there are far better options elsewhere.

I will not be staying here again.

Breakfast and location are nice.

However, our room had bed bugs and their bites were heavily annoying.
The only response from the hotel was, they will clean the beds right after we left so that the next guests will not have the same inconvenience. Also they hoped, our next stay (seriously?) will be better. Not even a word or recognition of an apologize.

Also our room safe didn’t work. Although we reported it at arrival, they did not take care at all for the whole three days of our stay.

This hotel has it all. Great location with transport at your doorstep. My bed was comfortable and the bathroom and shower were great. There was a coffee machine and a kettle to make tea which is always appreciated. The choice at breakfast is outstanding. Julius and Regina made my stay even better with their helpful friendly service. I would definitely stay here again if ever Im in Berlin.

When I checked in I was given the key for a room on the 7xx floor instead of 5xx where I was supposed to be. I could have entered someone else’s room.
The front desk was very causal about this.

The room was dirty with strange sticky orange and brown stains on the wall.

In addition, the bottled water in the room was open was clearly opened and drank out off and the glasses had marks on them as if they had been used. The front desk shrugged this off and said oh just get a water out the minibar. They had no concern that cleaning staff didn’t thoroughly clean the room after the prior guest.

The minibar was also warm and broken.

Would not stay here again until the staff addresses the issues with cleanliness and hygiene.

This is a wonderful hotel in the heart of Berlin. Its location near a train station was extremely convenient for travel around the city, as well as visiting many of the major tourist destinations. The staff was accommodating and efficient. The room was spacious and met our needs wonderfully. Very much recommend this hotel.

The rooms are great, clean, well equipped and comfortable to sleep in. The lobby is welcoming and beautiful. Breakfast was excellent and with many choices of great quality food.
The only drawback is that it is right next to the train station - if you are a light sleeper, this might bother you. We did request a room change for a quieter side and the staff was very accommodating and changed our room.

Shopping area around the hotel is wonderful and there are plenty of great dining places. Rooms are very clean but the main road is quite noisy especially for the trains and traffics. Thus, I requested a new room and the staff helped me with pleasure. Transportation is very comfortable.

From start to finish the stay was very good. The descriptions were fine and I have no cause to complain. The decor is not really my style but it was perfectly acceptable. Location was great, right next to the train station (the reason I chose it). Is it my favourite hotel in Berlin? - no but it is just a personal thing.I've definitely stayed in worse so if you can get a good price then you will be Ok here.

Amazing room - definitely worth another couple of £s to upgrade from standard to large room. Lovely sauna facility. Everywhere was spotless. Enormous choice for breakfast. Easy to get everywhere by walking or via public transport. Nice secure hotel. Everything was fabulous and I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Check in was fast since information was given before I arrived. Further information was explained by the staff such as the Hotel Property Tax. Room was kept clean everyday. Breakfast was the same everyday, salad, breads, fruits etc. The refrigerator in my room was working.
Location was good as the metro station (S-Bahn) is very near the Hotel and Tram car and U-Bahn is Infront of it. There are many bakery shops around and also a supermarket nearby.

Location, location, location! The property is literally adjacent to the Friedrichstraße train station where you can get to many attractions easily. In fact, most attractions are 1-3 stops away and the Berlin HBF is only 1 stop away. The bus/tram stop is also right outside the hotel door. There are restaurants, coffee shops and other conveniences across the street. We bought a 72 hour train/bus pass and went everywhere using public transportation. Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenbug Gate, Holocaust Memorial, the Reichstag, and Museum Island are all close by. The hotel bar is a nice spot to wind down at the end of the day, and it has free popcorn. The staff is pleasant and eager to please. The rooms are big for European standards. We stayed for 3 nights and very happy with choosing this hotel.

We had an excellent stay. Hotel is centrally located. Walking distance to many of the sights we wanted to go to. Lots of restaurants and cafe's nearby. And steps away from the subway/underground station. Very convenient for getting to and from the Airport. Special shout out to Tanja, the wonderful concierge who helped us secure tickets, gave us directions and translated for us. She was knowledgeable, friendly and just delightful.

The main pro for this hotel is location on friedrichstrabe right next to main train s bann R and metro m1 lines. Aldi and another supermarket and a starbucks and bakery all right outside. Room was spacious (albeit a bad layout) but we had booked a junior suite.

Cons: We ordered a junior suite with extra bed & requested a double and a single bed. I checked in online in advance so assumed this would be ready. On arrival were given king room. I asked to change as we had paid extra for a 2nd bed so they made us wait. They then gave us a room with 2 singles pushed together with the same shared sheets/bedding. Considering we paid extra for a 3 person room with either 3 singles or a double and a single meant to be offered I feel they downgraded us with this option. Room had only 1 free bottle of water but we later discovered tap water was drinkable (not well sign posted). I had also asked for a quiet room & despite being on 5th floor there were buskers outside with blaring speakers until after 10pm every night, not the hotels fault but obviously windows were not well insulated as we could hear it at full volume. Room was dusty particularly the bathroom ledges which I would not expect in a 4 star! Also housekeeping a bit lax eg 1st day didnt replace toilet roll, 2nd day didnt replace our bath mat or face cloths theyd taken - I ordered this on the hotels app only to be brought up 2 bathrobes! No recycling bin in room. Overall for a basic room & very good location I would stay again.

Everything was perfect for sightseeing. Close to station, metro, tram, supermarket, cafe and museums.
