Had a really comfortable stay, Johnathan on the front desk was very welcoming. Accommodation was so spacious and bed was really really comfy. Shower was excellent too. So close to many historic sites, and found a couple of decent restaurants nearby. Overall would definitely stay again if I come back to Berlin.

Everything about this is perfect. The location which is walking distance (10-15 minutes) of many major historical attractions as well as modern ones.
The size of the rooms is just excellent. Not used to this size at this price and location in Europe.
Ati and the service at the reception are very warm and helpful.

Overall, my pick for future stays in Berlin. Didn't hurt that we got a free upgrade :)

The staff were wonderful. As soon as we were checking in the Receptionist upgraded us to the Excutive Suite! The room was AMAZING!!
There is a very good restaurant attached to the hotel.
Great location. Close to the train station and many of the historical places.

My only negative remakes are the front office is not open 24 hours. If you need help after hours there is a security office with a guard that is able to help you including giving you another key to your room if you lose yours.
Very nice man but spoke little English.
Also I was never able to get someone to answer the \"wake up call\" request line.

Staying here made my time in Berlin even better.

Great location with very nice large rooms each as a two room apartments. Wonderful knowledgeable front desk hostess.
Unfortunately couldn’t get any sleep. Very warm spring in Berlin but air conditioning is off till summer??? No air in the room. Opening windows helps a little bit but our room was facing the street plus it was hard to have a comfortable temperature in the room. Air conditioning was the reason we picked this hotel!!! Very hard beds with very soft pillows also very uncomfortable.

The hotel is in very convenient location, which is within a couple of minutes to the closest train station. It is also within walking dustance to mwjor landmarks, such as the Brandenburg Gate, Museum of the Murdered Jews, and Checkpoint Charlie.

However, the hotel has awkward hours, such as unavailability of the gym, sauna, laundry, and ironing board during non business hours. The breakfast is repetitive, but the wait staff are super friendly.

Overall, I would recommend the hotel if the management decides to extend gym and laundry services during non-office hours.

Interesting hotel in Berlin - just north of check point charlie and just south of the shopping district. Brandenburg gate and museum island are easily walkable so you can get to most of the tourist attractions easily. Great place to stay for a first visit to Berlin.

All staff were very kind and well trained specially Mr.Ati who has worked for us, he is the real hotelier, so professional and heartfelt not only for me but for every guest.

Really great location near grocery stores, subway, restaurants, tourist attractions. When I contacted them ahead of my stay to let them know I would arrive late, after reception closed. They gave me clear instructions about how to get my keys. Very helpful staff in many ways. Housekeeping really nice.

Very quiet! Our rooms were on the courtyard. We heard almost no noise from outside, and NO noise from other residents. Very convenient to tourist sites and dining and transport. 10 out of 10 for cleanliness. There is not 24 hour staff at desk, which was no problem for us. The breakfast is a disappointment for the price of 25 Euros. No hot food other than boiled eggs. Overall, a great hotel!

The suite was gigantiv. There were many restaurants in the area. It was centrally located. The rooms and the area was very clean. the bathtub had plenty of hot water and pressure. The staff helped me get a room before check in time. There was a bank half a block away. there was a REVE supermarket one block away. Most clean hotel I have stayed at.

Surprisingly spacious and nice suite in the heart

Surprisingly spacious and nice suite in the heart of Berlin. Mandala Suites was actually a bit less expensive than competing, smaller rooms in what you might call \"traditional\" hotels, but it also had more to offer since it's primarily designed for extended stays on business trips.

The upstairs lounge where breakfast is served has a great view of the Berlin skyline, which was fun to enjoy in the morning! They also have a neat app/website that automate some of the functions of the hotel, including requesting items, checkout procedures, general information, etc. (You can also use it to unlock the building/your room in the event you lose your keycard.) The rooms are located in what is otherwise a commercial building, so it's generally very quiet, but the whole place is pretty up-to-date, and our room was very well maintained. Air conditioning also beats anything else we saw on our trip in Germany and can cool the room down to 18C with no trouble.

There's also a Hacker-Pschorr restaurant on the first floor (not affiliated with the hotel), and while it's kinda kitschy, it's open most of the day and the food is pretty good. Nice to have as an option after an international flight when many restaurants don't serve until 6:00pm!

If you're planning on staying a while and want more room to stretch out, we found it to be a very good deal. We'll probably check them out again if we return to Berlin.

At first we were a bit disappointed. Our shuttle dropped us off quite a distance from the main entrance, as it is on a non-drivable street. There are side entrances that are accessible by car that get you much closer to the check in. The suites are located in a large, office complex but with the suites, separated. Our first room, was disappointing but we were upgraded free of charge to a larger, nicer room with a sofa and a balcony. There is a German restaurant downstairs which offers great, local cuisine and beer. In the future, I might consider staying at the Mandala Hotel instead but overall, we were happy.

The hotel is great but could be perfect with some small added features : Nespresso machine, weighing scale, more kitchen items (not just 2 forks, 2 knifes etc), tissue box in the room, a proper hairdryer, the safe is too small (cannot put an iPad or PC in it). The room has very limited space to store clothes (no cupboard). Small stuff, but a difference to major hotels accros the globe.

the location is amazing, 100 metter from subway, walking distance anywhere. good location for shopping.nice breakfast ,small but high quality.the broblem is the room- they have only big bad and if you come with a friend you have to share the bad with him.what kind of hotel dont have option for 2 small bads??? the room is really big and nice .the reception is not working 24/7 and sometimes there is no one to talk with iof yoyu need help.they have an attitude in the reception and the welcome we got was so cold- we arrived at 1130 ...and they ask us why we came early.thats not the way for a warm welcome...you can be nice even if the room is not ready...

revisit of the mandala suite. last visit was superb.
quality of apartment this time was as expected. no surprise. location was very good and convenient. housekeeping was not good though. trash bin was not working with the hinge for 3 days without anyone try to fix it. had to pull trash bin with my hands. dishes were put into dishwasher without cleaning. never happened with other hotel apartments i stayed before. i even spotted the hand towel in toilet came with yellow stain. i wonder if any proper housekeeping training was offered.

The rooms were great. They have limited staff. There is no room service or any bell boy to take luggage to the room. The bathrooms are very tiny and the shower system is terrible. After several satisfactory days, we came back to the hotel to find that room service had not been provided, despite having left the sign on the door requesting that the room be made up (and for the reader’s interest, we had been leaving tips out for the cleaning staff).
I simply reported the problem and requested some clean towels for the evening. The person at reception simply said that this should not have happened, then looked at me blankly.
The same thing happened the following day. I reported the problem again (to a different reception person), and requested the room be made up asap, which I was assured would happen immediately.
After an hour, I again went to reception, expressed my disappointment (to a third person) that nothing had happened, and requested the room NOT be made up, as my wife needed a rest and I wanted to use the bathroom to clean up after a day out walking.
Three-quarters of an hour later, there was a loud knock on the door, which was then opened and a raised voice saying it was room service. As my wife was trying to sleep, I leapt out of the bath, threw on a towel and went out to explain we no longer wanted room service, as it was too late.
The reception staff only paid lip service to the problems, and clearly did not communicate with the service staff. I was promised material compensation, but absolutely nothing happened.
Such a pity!
The physical suite and facilities were fine, but the management totally incompetent.

We stayed at the Mandala Suites for 1 week and it suited us perfectly. The location is central and walking distance (15 - 25 minutes) from almost everything. Otherwise, 2 different metro stops are around the corner. The mini apartment was clean, the bed was comfy (I like a firm mattress) and there was tons of space for two people to spread out. The kitchen is stocked enough (after we bought dishsoap, it was indicated that we put our dishes in the Dishwasher rather than hand washing - not practical). Also, as stated, the living room furniture is dated and the 2 TVs are small and stand alone. However, that honestly didn’t detract much from our experience as the space was so roomy and sleek.
The staff was lovely and helpful and the housekeeping was well executed.
An issue worth mentioning is that the Breakfast is a cold breakfast. Available for breakfast is musli with several options for yogurt, cold cuts and bread... lots of it. So, if bread is not your thing, I would not recommend the breakfast. Otherwise, there’s nice cheese and jam to go on the bread. There’s also the option of a hard boiled egg so if you’re picky about eggs, you would be better off without the paid breakfast option.
Over all, we had a great experience and would recommend!

The suites were located in a good central and safe location.
Free laundry available in the basement was a huge bonus.
Paid parking available under the hotel.
Breakfast was nice but very slow service. Tiny amounts were available on plates which kept running out, eggs and juice was available on request but it took ages to come out, and orders were often forgotten.
Rooms were large with good amenities but felt dated, particularly the corridors along the wing.

For a property of this sort there were unforgivable things such as a shampoo and shower gel both in one. No conditioner available. Really bad hairdryer. The interior is dated and needs fixing, light not working, broken mirror. No full body mirror. Breakfast was a disaster. We asked for warm options the waiter said they only had boiled eggs - he mixed up our orders. Although he was the only pleasant thing about the whole breakfast. Buffet was very poor and pretty empty. Not more than 5 slices of ham at a time. Light in the bathroom was always on, we couldn't switch it off. Lack of electric outlets by the bed.

It is very well located, close to checkpoint Charlie. It was not really quite what I was looking for and for that I have to blame hotels.com for not making it clear what I was booking. I was on a holiday to Berlin with my wife and I think the mandala suites are more suited for business and the hotels.com didn’t quite make that clear enough otherwise I would’ve booked somewhere else. Nevertheless it was comfortable and well maintained although the bath enamel was broken and whilst the reception staff were polite, one of then managed to directors to a recommended restaurant by him that has actually been close for a year, so much for local knowledge! Don’t get me wrong we enjoyed our stay and it was comfortable and clean and Amenities were good. But it’s the little things like the same receptionist staring at us while we are bringing our luggage up the stairs to him and just staying at his desk and offering to help. Can I suggest to hotels.com when people book with you you make it clear if the accommodation is more appropriate for business people rather than couples? You didn’t make that clear and I would’ve Chosen somewhere else if you had. The mandala suites is fine, but I may not use hotels.com again

Booked a room with a balcony and the tiny patio was about a 5 foot oval with 2 feet at the widest. The furniture was outdated, the tv tiny, not enough English speaking cable channels. The maid took the towels, even though we hung them up for reuse, and it took almost an hour and 2 phone calls to get towels.

The breakfast buffet was very nice. Tremendous staff attention to presentation plus a nice setting made for a pleasant start to the day. While some hotels have greater choices, what was on offer was sufficient for a small boutique hotel. Staff was very pleasant as well.

Our room was larger than expected, with a walk-in closet and balcony. Décor was up to date and in excellent condition.

Great location for touring on foot or by U Bahn. Rooms are small apartments I.e. very roomy with cooking facilities. Bed is comfortable. Staff is very helpful.

Location is great, rooms are perfect. What upsets us is that 2-room suits can not be booked in advance. I have separately contacted the reception asking that we want a two room appartment. (We are frequent guests of the hotel and stay there over 8 years every year by now). Despite my separate ask via e-mail upon our arrival nothing was noted in the system and we have received a single room appartment (much worser but for the same price as two room suit). After several asks at the reception, next day we were able to change rooms for the two room suite (very spacious). Would be good if guests asks could be taken into account. Or make a separate price for 2 room suits so that guest can get them guaranteed

Great, LOTS of space in the rooms. Kitchen is a bit awkward, I could barely reach the dishes in the high cupboard. However, we were very pleased with room and staff. Definitely recommend.

We stayed 3 full days and it was simply amazing. The hotel reception was efficient, personable and very helpful in describing all the amenities offered. When we entered our room, we were thankful for a very modern, clean and spacious suite. The air-conditioning was a blessing on a very hot day in Berlin. The living room space was done in a tasteful elegant way and the kitchen was well stocked with cutlery, pots, pans and dishes! There was even a small dishwasher. One of the best things about the Mandala Suites is that it is tucked inside an atrium like building so the noise level is minimal. Their automatic shutters and thick windows keep the noise and heat out. There are laundry facilities in the basement and an elevator to all floors. It is located centrally in Mitte with Rausch Chocolate near by and some very famous German restaurants just a few blocks away. Cafes and grocery stores are walking distance. It was walking distance also to the UBahn station and close to tourist attractions. This is a wonderful hotel with incredible service and ample amenities, Our family really enjoyed it here. We would definitely come back here. The Lams

The location is good. The head board had holes in the fabric. The room smelled of sewer gas. It was never stated that breakfast was an additional charge. It was good but not worth 18e per person per day.

Clean and comfortable

Great stay. Spacious room. Loved the balcony and all the light. Has laundry and all the essentials for a long vaykay. The neighborhood is a bit dead at night and not as centrally located as I thought. Also, at night, a bunch of creepy crawlies appeared out of nowhere in the room, but otherwise, a very clean and comfortable stay.

Very beige business and cold. More apartments for business stays than a hotel. Hallways blah. Room is clean and spacious but dated. Did not even have outlets on both sides of the bed. Small TV. No extras like even a water. No 24 hour reception and the lecture about coming in after 10:30 sounded like a curfew warning . No bar or restaurant i- it did have a spectacular breakfast area. So many better hotels in Berlin.

Our room was incredibly large and comfortable ... I was very pleasantly surprised to check into a suite of this size in the middle of a major city. The king bedroom was large and nicely appointed and our living room/kitchen was large enough for a rollaway bed plus sofa, chairs, desk etc. Lots of closets. Great location and great spot for an adult and two teen children

Comfy rooms. Good simple gym with nice views of West Berlin. Breakfast was great!
