Accommodations were wonderful. The room was spacious, clean and beautiful. Everything was convenient. Berlin’s big but hop on hop off bus was close. We didn’t enjoy the breakfast and thought it was overpriced though dinner in the restaurant was wonderful and my coffee bar was not refilled all the days of my stay. Everything else was perfect

I had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. While the pool water was a bit cold, the size was perfect for a relaxing swim—especially when it wasn’t too crowded. The breakfast itself was just okay, but the attentive and friendly staff made the experience much more enjoyable.

I had dinner at the hotel restaurant a couple of nights, and unfortunately, the food didn’t quite meet my expectations. That said, the service was absolutely fantastic.

Since my stay was a full week, I truly appreciated how safe and comfortable I felt throughout. As an introvert, I tend to keep to myself, coming and going quietly, and this hotel made that easy. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom layout suited me perfectly. One thing for them to improve at the front desk. It would have been nice if they made some suggestions on what to do in the evening. Especially there was a couple of classical music concert I could have gone to beings how the venue was right in front of the hotel. Overall, it was a great stay, and I’d be happy to return, especially for their swimming pool.

The perfect place to stay during Christmas season

Hotel and staff are perfect. Location - excellent (in December - best Christmas market just outside). Food too (pasta with tomato sauce is great). 5/5 plus. The only challenge I had was with the reservation team - a very inflexible guy who also gave me some wrong information. It was a 1/5 experience, I have never had such case in a hotel of this category. But the rest was so good that it would be unfair to give it less than 5 stars.

First time RF stay and wouldn’t return

Sadly this hotel and experience was nothing short of terrible. After checking in we didn’t get any information about facilities and was just told breakfast was at X time. The room was perfectly suitable - it wasn’t clear at all how to turn the light in the bathroom off so we slept with it on, the mirror was boiling hot so as a result the room was so humid and uncomfortable- we called in the morning to report it and then a knock at the door from a German maintenance man who was on the phone the whole time and no English spoken while I was trying to work not very friendly. I then spoke to the manager who seemed to not care and just offered a card for “next stay” for an upgrade. When checking out we got charged £70 for breakfast which we were told was included and the breakfast was not even worth £10 in my opinion. Coffee sour and food wasn’t quality. We actually checked into the titanic hotel next door. Half the price and double the quality.

Such a shame for the most expensive hotel in Berlin.

Centrally located, at walking distance to the museums' island and Brandenburg Gate.
Tastefully interior decoration throughout – the large welcoming hall, the restaurant, hallways, and rooms.
Our Deluxe Room was large, with a perfect bed, bathroom, and efficient, noiseless air conditioning.
Very professional and helpful staff – thanks for the welcome and the credit.
We had dinner at their restaurant – we enjoyed the well-prepared food, the wine, the service, and the whole atmosphere.
I hope will come back again someday.

This is an excellent property to stay at. Top notch spa with attentive, caring technicians. Room was designed beautifully with great bathtub and nice linens. The front desk service is impeccable and the breakfast was very good. Nice lighting - Our bed was a tad bit firm for our taste, but overall everything was in great condition.

If you aren’t dressed “right” each staff member will ask you where you’re going and how they can help you leave the hotel. Never before have I been asked do many times why I’m at the hotel when I’m just trying to get to my room. I like to wear sandals and shorts since it’s summer. I’ve never felt so unwelcome before…or been apologized to so many times before because staff didn’t recognize I was a guest.

We loved Rocco Forte Hotel De Rome Berlin. The hotel is amazing all around, great location, amazing staff, Great roof top restaurant, close to all the museums and restaurants and few minutes away from Subway. We loved the hotel so much that we extended our stay for another 4 days. I definitely recommend this hotel!!

Average room on luxory hotel

Beautiful hotel, with a beautiful lobby bar and terrasse with view to the Bebelplatz, but I have to say that the rooms are pretty average, nice bathroom , but the rest, nothing really special, a bed announced as “king” was barely a “queen” With a curvy on the edges mattress which makes the sleeping/resting area even smaller, my girlfriend and me agreed that bed was too small. Definitely not worth twice as much than other fine hotels in Berlin.

We love Leo!

Felt like a superstar in this hotel. Rooms gorgeous, lobby gorgeous, but the service, personalities, and helpfulness of their entire staff ( *with the exception of one... you know who you are/ in the restaurant) was bar none. They made Hotel de Rome extra special! We will now look for any Rocco forte properties at any future European travels. ( *note: we did report said problematic staff member accordingly)

Absolutely incredible staff. Stephen in reception, Jacqueline during breakfast and Joshua on the roof top bar were three particularly outstanding members of the hotel team.

Kept getting overlooked eggs though during breakfast, which put us off having dinner in La Banca. Staff were happy to replace though immediately.

Due to celebrating an occasion, we did have champagne on the roof terrace, which was lovely but we weren’t happy that the only options of champagne were Perrier-Jouet. Would have preferred Tattinger, Veuve Cliquot or Bollinger. More variety would have been better and not impressive as a 5 star hotel, that these were the only options.

We really liked everything about Hotel de Rome. The location is superb, the staff uber friendly yet professional, and the amenities that come with the suite package unparalleled. Rocco Forte goes out of their way to make you feel special, there is no nickel and diming, and everything is superlative.

This hotel is A+ in every way. The breakfast buffet was lovely with included custom eggs prepared for you, cappuccino etc.The rooms are large for Europe, no fear even if you book the “smallest” room ..it will exceed your normal expectation. Staff is helpful and location is beyond compare. Walk to museum island!

Its a lovely plush hotel in a very central location,staff are really helpful and friendly, breakfast is delicious with a wide range of options.
the only downside was the evening meal in the restaurant on our first night,it is bland at best, very uninspiring,bearing in mind it is a 5 star hotel you would expect a top notch meal especially for the price of 170 euros for 2. i don't mind paying that sort of money but i expect a bit of a wow factor. How can they get breakfast so right but the evening meal so dull.

The hotel double booked and forced us to move out to another hotel for two of the confirmed nights of our reservation. Thus making us pack and unpack two extra times and waste time we would have spent sight seeing. In all other respects, it is an excellent hotel. but we would never come back.

Very good hotel and professional service BUT on arrival were told we could only stay 3 out of the 4 CONFIRMED nights of our booking FROM 17th to check out 21st September and that we would be put in to another hotel on our last night. They had apparently sent us an email to say this but to an unknown email address and not the email address used for the booking. After intervention from our fellow guest who had been high up in the hotel business, we were found a room for the last night but a downgraded small room. I requested a discount on account of this and Eur 50 was deducted from our final bill. Most inconvenient to have to pack and move for our last night.

Beautiful property with a rooftop bar overlooking the plaza and surrounding area. The spa, pool and fitness level is more than well appointed with top of the line equipment. Great location, easily walk or bike (also available at the hotel!) to all the sights. Service by the staff was impeccable, whether we needed assistance booking tours, dinner, or general questions. Breakfast was delicious and tons of variety to choose from, fresh fruits, meats, yogurts, as well as cooked to order eggs, waffles, pancakes, etc.

We loved our stay so much that we extended for another day just to really enjoy the property and feel absolutely refreshed for our next destination. Would definitely stay here again, as well as consider a Rocco Forte property elsewhere if they are as good.

It was amazing! They let us check in early and check out late... I know that this does not happen all the time but it was the staff willingness to make you happy made us totally feel at home...
The rooms have high ceilings and everything about this hotel is lovely.

Excellent central location of hotel. You can reach Tegel airport very easily with s bahn line at Französische Strasse Station. Very friendly staff. Quick and uncomplicated checkin. Tv is small and low pixel quality. Standard Wifi is ok but needs few resets. Furniture, bed, interior, bathroom, hairdryer, safe are high level. Breakfast is excellent including fresh made scrambled eggs with bacon or other choice. We didnt had time to use welness and spa.

We stayed as a couple for 4 nights in January 2017. It was my wife's birthday when we visited, so on arrival we were greeted with a cake from the restaurant. This was an excellent start to our stay. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the facilities were excellent. Couldn't fault it. We ate in the restaurant on 1 occasion for a 3 course evening meal. The price was reasonable and the quality of the food and the service was great. The location of the hotel is very convenient for any of the main sights (all can be reached quickly on foot or by underground just around the corner). Overall we would highly recommend this hotel when staying in Berlin.

Fabulous hotel let down only by dinner in the restaurant which was very expensive and Not particularly good. There are plenty of other eateries nearby. Breakfast however was excellent.

Perfect location facing Bebeplatz and a short walk from Museum Island. Beautiful lobby and roof deck and super friends and helpful staff, especially the concierge, Anka, who came through with last minute bike tours and an unbelievable last minute locals only concert.

We came for a long weekend. Every member of hotel staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Concierge team were incredibly helpful, in particular Katja, who recommended restaurants and helped us plan our days. Nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Berlin and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
