Great location, stylish hotel. Breakfast was superb as was the gym. Only downside is the rooms were a little dark due to the interiors and we found the lighting difficult to work out for the room. The only bar was also shut on2 nights for a private function which we found poor as we like to have a pre dinner drink and after dinner drink. You could have a drink in the bistro area but it wasn’t the same. However it wouldn’t put me off staying here again for a decent rate per night .

This was my second time staying at this hotel. My first experience was fantastic, though I had a minor issue with water leaking from the bathroom in the room I stayed in previously. This time, Jessica, the front desk manager, reached out to me before my arrival to ensure my request for a fully elevator-accessible room—and one without any water leak issues—was taken care of. That level of attentiveness really stood out.

The room was well appointed. While it didn’t have a view, the upside was that it didn’t face the street or the nearby park, making it incredibly quiet. Housekeeping was efficient and the room was cleaned promptly as needed.

I booked a room with breakfast, and the breakfast staff were wonderful—especially the lady with glasses and a bob haircut. She and her team always made me feel welcome and even remembered my usual coffee order. It’s a small detail, but it makes a huge difference.

Since it was cold outside (and I was feeling lazy), I had dinner at the sushi bar several times. Terashima-san was extremely polite & friendly. Although it’s a sushi bar, I usually ordered vegetarian rolls since I don’t eat raw fish. The salmon tempura was good, but for me, the vegetarian tempura always hit the spot. On my last night, I had a glass of red wine that reminded me very much of the Pinot Noir I enjoy back home in California—it was honestly one of the best red wines I’ve had in a long time.

I would highly recommend this hotel. Excellent services!

We had a wonderful stay at Telegraphenamt over the festive season! Immaculate room with views over the park, a super comfortable bed & fabulous shower! Breakfast was superb - a great selection & a special mention to Daria who was a lovely smiling face to start our day with. We also loved the cosy bar area & drinks by Adam were a great finish or start to our evenings. Five star experience in Berlin.

The room was booked for our 25th wedding anniversary. Loved every minute of our stay. Decent location which was quiet in the evenings and only a 10-15 walk to some of the main city centre attractions. Complimentary bottle of bubbly on our anniversary which was a nice touch. Room was described as 'cosy'. Whilst they may be smaller than other rooms, the high ceilings give a sense of space. Lovely clean room. The lighting can be a challenge to get right....! Breakfast was excellent. Large choice with the buffet with extras available to order. Staff very polite and friendly. My wife is a German speaker and the staff recognised this and conversed with her in German as opposed to switching to English. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. Thank you in assisting in a memorable 4 day stay in Berlin.

Great hotel, the building has lots of character and rooms are spacious and stylishly decorated with views of the park. Location was perfect with lots of shops and bars in walking distance, close to the Hackescher Markt S-Bahn station too if you want to go further afield.

Breakfast was excellent, a varied selection of cold meats and cheeses, yoghurts, fruit and pastries alongside hot food.

The hotel bar served fantastic cocktails, though it was a shame the Root restaurant space now operates from the hotel bistro (breakfast area) and had only a limited number of options on the menu. The beautiful atrium space is now for events, as a hotel guest I would have loved to dine there, especially as the atrium is so heavily featured in marketing photographs.

There was a conference and a wedding party using the facilities whilst we stayed at the hotel, which made the breakfast area quite busy, however staff dealt well with this. Overall, a great stay and I would happily return.

Excellent hotel. Staff was extremely friendly and professional. The rooms were spacious and the gym was possibly the best gym I've ever had in a hotel. The only comment I'd make to fellow travellers is that the provided shampoo, conditioner etc is all natural and doesn't have the usual lather and scent that you may be used to so you may want to bring your own. That said, very happy with my stay there and would recommend it to others.

Stunning hotel right where you wanna be

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Telegraphement, and overall, it was a delightful experience with a few notable exceptions.

Pros:
•Exceptional Service: Upon my early morning arrival, I intended only to drop off my luggage. However, the front desk staff went above and beyond to accommodate me, striving to secure an early check-in.
•Delicious Breakfast: The breakfast offerings were impressive, with both the coffee and food meeting high standards.
•Comfortable Room: Facing inside the courtyard(?), my room provided a tranquil and cozy retreat, ensuring restful nights.
•Prime Location: Situated adjacent to Museum Island, the hotel offers immediate access to cultural landmarks. Additionally, numerous restaurants and the charming Neun Drei cafe are just a short stroll away.

Cons:
•Inconsistent Dining Options: I was disappointed to find the Root Restaurant closed due to a private event on my first day and not operating at all on the second. This limited my dining choices within the hotel. However, drinking and dining at The Root Bar was a great experience. Gustav was a very accommodating.
•Bathroom Design Flaw: The shower in my bathroom had drainage issues, leading to water leakage, exacerbated by the poor floor design, suggesting it might be a known issue that hasn’t been addressed. Absolutely despised their “natural” shampoo and conditioner. Made my hair all sticky and oily.
Overall I loved staying at the hotel and will gladly return and recommend.

Lovely hotel. Good location and delicious breakfast! Would recommend the bar for cocktails and a nice ambience.

However staff were inefficient and not very apologetic when things went wrong. When we checked in they took a credit card for incidental costs and also charged the full room rate for 3 nights stay plus breakfast, which we had already paid for. At a restaurant on our first night, our overseas payment card had insufficient funds as they had wiped out almost our full balance. All very embarrassing and time consuming as we had to contact the bank, transfer funds and wait for identity to be validated etc. to pay the bill. It took until our day of departure before the funds were returned, over 900 Euros!!

Old structure with a modern update of just two years. It's got a warehouse feel built around 1910 but has all modern fixtures. Great German engineering and design, especially the bathroom. Just a few minutes walk to central Berlin, it feels sequestered in a quiet corner of the city and just few yards from the river. Great hotel. Loved it; if I return to Berlin it will be in no small measure to stay here again.

There is no shoe shine in the rooms which is disappointing.

The breakfast buffet is very limited and poor. The staff service is a disaster. It takes 10 minutes to get coffee or water. There is plenty of staff but they are lazy, chatting all the time and playing with their phones. Very slow service. They don't replenish the buffett quickly enough or clean the tables after guests left. Very very poor staff.

Rooms have a generous size, area is good, but everything else was either terrible or mediocre at best.
First day I put the sign to privacy and came back to a cleaned room!

All products were exchanged and none if rte dispensers worked, I had to take them all out, unscrew them in order to being able to use any.
Next day when pouring a cup of tea the cup was broken so the table incl my computer etc were soaked with hot water.
Had the sign to clean and came back to an unchanged room with only two cups put on the desk - it was absurd
Despite me bringing this to the front desk attention, there was no note or anything from the management.
We had several folks from our company staying at this place and literally everyone had multiple issues.
Such a poor experience. Given the price you certainly expect more.

The hotel is beautiful and located within walking distance to Museum Island. It also has an interesting WWII history.

Upon check-in, we were swiftly greeted and the hotel manager assisted us with completing our check-in and offered us coffee. Check-in was easy and we were up in our room within 10 minutes. (Very grateful for that!)

Upon entering my room, I could see the attention to detail in design. My room was the Roomy City View. I had an amazing view of TV Tower. The bed was large and very comfortable, the bathroom also nicely sized with an amazing shower. There was ample storage and seating. I was also happy to see nicely stocked drinks and snacks.
I love the blend of art deco and modern. Kudos to the design team.
On our last morning, we ordered room service. It was priced reasonable and came quickly.
One note, we did try to call the room service line, but got no answer after several attempts. I ended up calling the front desk and the woman took our order and ensured it was delivered.
Suggestion: I tried using the room phone to call the front desk, but was confused about how to dial. I would suggest adding instructions on how to dial for international visitors like myself.

Very happy with our stay at Telegraphenamt. We would stay again. Thank you for making our stay comfortable, safe, and unforgettable.

The front desk staff are really helpful but I think this hotel has a serious problem with management. First there is clearly only one to two people working for room service which is ridiculous- spend some money and hire adequate staff. I called down for room service for thirty minutes straight this morning before I got an answer. Then last night we couldn’t figure out how to turn our lights off and keep the power on to charge our phone and the woman who came up to help us also had no idea and was just as confused as us. What sent me over the edge was I went to Root the restaurant and I was talking to the restaurant staff and I asked for a menu. I turned to the restaurant staff and said “Can I make a res-“ and a man walks in cuts me off mid-sentence they all started to attending to him. It was so rude, the whole staff left to help him and I just stood there. I tried to get their attention by walking over there and they ignored me. I’m not saying it’s because I am a young woman and that was a man but that is what I’m saying. This hotel and restaurant needs better service and training resources. It looks cool, but that’s about it.
