I was a solo female traveler and the staff was very welcoming and helpful . The hotel was near many places to eat and not noisy at night. The one compliant I did have and I never said anything about - was the AC made a loud noise that was a bit disruptive for my sleep (rm 606) they should get it looked at - but when I checked out there was no one to chat with about it.

We spent a nice extended weekend with my wife and our German pointer dog on August 19-21, 2023. We were already in this hotel in 2020. The service was very nice and polite. Comfortable beds and clean room. Great location in the Mitte district. Safe and quiet. Opposite the shop, lots of good restaurants and breakfasts nearby. We traveled by car and had the option of parking in the hotel garage. The parking lot is small and a bit tight but every driver should manage. I would recommend booking a parking space in advance as parking on the street costs 4 euros per hour. We will definitely return to Main by Amano. I highly recommend. This place is newly renovated, and although the rooms are small, they are well thought out, so it didn’t feel too cramped. The area is really great with so many restaurants! And it’s pretty close to many sites. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We would stay again.

What an amazing location! Near tons of great dining options (be sure to check out the cafe with the bulldog mascot on the nearby corner), lots of historical attractions within a 10-20 min walk, and right by lots of public transportation options. It felt very safe walking around at any time of day/into the night. The rooms are comfortable with everything we needed for our stay in Berlin, and we enjoyed sitting outside having a beer (although the hotel’s selection was surprisingly small). Staff were friendly and helpful, even holding a bag for a few extra days after we checked out when it wouldn’t fit in our rental car. Would be happy to stay here again!

I'd read the reviews regarding the noise downstairs and didn't think it'd be too bad. We checked in on a Saturday evening to be told they were hosting an event that night so there may be some noise, which we were sure would be fine. However, the constant thumping from downstairs until gone 2am was a bit much. I was fortunate to have had a few drinks and slept through, but my other half was wide awake with it. Fortunately, this was only the Saturday night so didn't spoil our stay but we did notice on a poster in the lift that they host these events Wednesday to Saturday so our booking fell very well to avoid these days as it definitely would have ruined our stay had it been any extra nights.
The rooms are pleasant and beds comfortable however very dark like other people have said. Not great for doing makeup to go out for the day and even worse for evening makeup as no natural daylight to even take advantage of.
There was a fridge where we kept drinks from the shop cool and the tv worked fine however nothing really in English so we watched Netflix on an ipad with the hotels wifi which was fine.

Lovely decor and and the rooms were really modern. Breakfast was pretty good with lots of choice. Bar didn’t open until 6pm which was a bit of an inconvenience, but this seemed to be the norm. Use the do not disturb signs, as housekeeping don’t wait to enter your room on the first knock! Would definitely return though… very pleasant stay

This hotel is great. Right in the city center and is down the street from a subway station so it is very easy to get around. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants around the hotel. When we checked in, the bar/restaurant of the hotel itself was very busy and you could tell it was popular. Could not hear any of the noise in the room though. The entrance to the hotel is also very inviting, with flowers all around the door which is very pretty.

This hotel is quirky and has a great feel to it, particularly like the art on site and the rooms with black tiles and dark decor.

Just what we wanted!
Location was fantastic and near amazing coffee shops, bars and restaurants. It was walking distance to museum island and Alexanderplatz, our main visiting areas, with many interesting shops on route. We arrived early to the hotel and they stored away our bags until check-in. There was also a good lunch deal on so we tried the hotel restaurant before check-in, it was beautiful. They posted a letter for me and sorted welcome cards for us which also made the trip more organised! Thank you Hotel Mani, we shall hopefully stay here again! Great value for money, blew our expectations!

The hotel was lovely and really well positioned for transport. Everything was clean and the room had everything we needed and looked great. The only issue we had was being directly above the the kitchen meant that there were repetitive loud bangs until about 1 in the morning every night, which made it difficult to sleep. We also asked for a booking at the restaurant but sadly this wasn't done for us.

We stayed at Hotel Mani for 4 nights.the hotel was extremely clean & modern,the staff were all very friendly and helpful.the hotel has very trendy decor,our room was compact but trendy,it’s is not one of the largest rooms I’ve stayed in,however there is plenty of space.the location of the hotel is excellent,surrounded by shops,bars and restaurants,and a 2min wall to tube,tram and bus stops.there is also a taxi rank practically outside your door.i would highly recommend the hotel,and would definitely stay again if I was to visit Berlin again.

My wife and I stayed at the Mani Hotel in August last year for a week and it was just brilliant. The Mani is a really stylish hotel on Tortstrasse between Mitte and Prenzlaur Berg. Totally central location for all that Berlin has to offer. Staff were friendly and helpful and our room was excellent. Cannot fault anything about our stay. The Italian girl in the bar recommended some excellent German and Israeli wines and certainly knew her stuff. Highly recommended for a great place to stay in Berlin.

Hotel was great, this was our 2 visit to this hotel. It is in a fantastic location, near an underground station and also trams. Very easy to navigate around the city. We stayed 5 nights in a Double/Twin room and requested Double bed. The room itself was lovely, not the biggest room but the shower pressure was great. My only little criticism was the bed was just 2 twins pushed together. I understand if a double bed wasn't available, however if two beds are pushed together to make one, they could at least use a sheet to hold them together, otherwise may aswell just stay in single beds. The pillows were great and the bed is comfortable. I would stay again.

Great location, lovely hotel, a few minor problems
A really lovely hotel with a few small niggles. Great location, nice funky decor, comfortable beds (although German-style a double is just two singles together), and helpful staff. The lift was broken for the 3 nights of our stay, so access was only possible via an outside staircase (cold in January) and some very heavy doors. We were left with only one bath towel one day after housekeeping. No tea or coffee making facilities. However, overall the hotel is lovely and really good value for money.

Nice convenient hotel in Central Berlin. It's close to all forms of public transportation. The rooms are very small and didn't list the size on the website. We upgraded the room at 20 more Euro a night which wasn't much bigger. The shower door leaked out water all over the place. The tried fixing it twice and the second time they just left the job undone with the plastic seal hanging about 6 inches out from the door so you couldn't even close the door to shower. Disappointed overall but not a bad place. When I called the front desk I was told yes the bikes they have are free to use. When I go down the next day it's no they are 12 Euro a day and that's what the sign said which was upside down in the corner. Not a big deal but everyone is not on the same page or a misunderstanding. Would I stay here again? No just for the fact that there rooms are just too small like Paris size small rooms.

The location (convenient for underground and a good choice of restaurants) and the room were great but the area around the lift appeared to be treated like a store room. Whilst I understand the need for cleaning equipment when room are being cleaned, the area seemed to used as an overspill storage area for the kitchen. Not what you want to see every time you leave the hotel.

Modern hotel in great location
This is a really modern hotel in a great location, 2 minutes walk from U8, M1 and M8 for access to public transport. Loads of great restaurants and bars a short walk away. Whilst there was a party in the hotel we were pre-warned that there may be some noise, it did go on very late (3am) but the staff were great when we spoke to them about it and they waived the cost of our breakfast.

Convenient, quirky, has everything you need
This is not the hotel for everyone, however for me it is perfect. This was my second stay with MANI and I was not disappointed. If you are looking for the extras of a big hotel chain, then this is not for you, it is more a quirky and boutique place for someone who likes something a bit different. The room was quiet, clean and large. The staff found a kettle for me as I drink a lot of tea. The bed was comfortable and the location is so convenient, close to tram and UBahn, staff are friendly and helpful.

Very modern hotel and rooms are spotless after being cleaned. Beds are very comfortable. If you're planning to visit the Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate etc then it is quite a walk to get there from the hotel. However there are U-Bahn stops nearby if you prefer to travel that way.

An FYI for everyone travelling by car. They only have 6 parking spots in their garage (for 63 rooms) and therefore ask you to park on the street, which is very difficult in Berlin. You also need to re-feed the meter to stay longer than 5 hours. They also had no alternative for parking at hand, like a parking garage in walking distance. (Hint: Ask for the neighborhood parking pass - They have one but kept it a secret to us for the longest time.)
