Based on the room and the location, this is a five star property. It is very well appointed with a new microwave, stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher. It is also bright, very well designed and spacious. The location is super.

Self check-in, however, is a mess. They do a terrible job communicating in advance what to do and any issues getting in, which almost every customer experiences.

Once you’re in it’s great, but management has greatly failed to remedy this ongoing issue. It is costing them money and goodwill they could easily capture if they put a real effort to make it easier.

I’ll be back and only in advance what to expect.

Check in and check out where fast and convenient. Room was clean and comfortable. Train station is less than 2 minutes walking. This is my second time staying and I am very satisfied. The only feedback is they should update the tv’s to smart tv’s just in case you want to watch a movie. 🙂

We've had an excellent experience right from the start.

Easy check-in despite our extremely late arrival past midnight. It could not have been any better!

The apartment is designed in a very clever way, also modern and practical which feels very much like a home. We didn't miss anything at all. Plenty of storage, a kitchen equipped with basically everything you need...and even a yoga mat and small weights. Impressive!
Very clean throughout the entire hotel with a super friendly receptionist...what else do you want? :)

It is at a large crossing but with the windows closed and the AC on, it was quiet and not hot at all with 29 degrees outside.

Location is fantastic with a 13 minute walk from Alexanderplatz, so very convenient when coming with the R23 from Brandenburg Airport. Lots of speciality coffee shops and restaurants are in the area.

We would definitely stay there again.

Great Location, Zero Customer Service

With a great location in the heart of the Berlin Mitte district, this had such potential. But with literally no customer service, just an i-Pad in the corner, and no ability to change my reservation even weeks in advance, I was charged in at check-in for longer than I stayed, and I've been told I can't get a refund.
I would not stay here again.

Promised bluetooth speaker is on available upon request and for a few hours at a time, not as advertised. Had to request the weights, as well. Water seal coming off shower door so the whole bathroom gets wet when you shower, too, slippery and dangerous!

This could be a great place to stay. But if you’ve booked a large room you would expect to get a large room, or at least an explanation on check-in that one isn’t available. Instead, when I queried why I’d been given a medium room I was told that there was nothing that could be done and that it wasn’t the hotel’s problem. No offer of a refund on the cost difference or anything else. Also, the air conditioning didn’t work at all and the WiFi stopped after 2 days, meaning I had to spend even more money on mobile data. Altogether a very disappointing experience and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Loud rooms, I can hear my neighbors stomping their feet and yelling on the room above me at 3 am, even with noise canceling headphones ! The management is non existent, and it’s impossible to get sleep. look elsewhere if you value a quiet space

Amano Home studio Apt

The apt was modern and clean with everything you need if you felt like cooking.
We only had breakfast/ light lunch there so didn’t use the oven or hob but it is possible. There was a daily cleaning service which I wasn’t expecting but was nice. Check in was quick and easy. Though room was facing the street, which I liked, there was no noise in to be heard so we had a great sleep. Personally, I would have preferred a regular higher bed but it was comfortable so no complaints bout it. Right next to Rosa Luxembourg U metro stop which is just one stop from Alexander Platz so getting around the city is easy. There is a reasonable supermarket bout 500m from apt. There is also a bar on the ground floor of apt at the corner which is laid back and easy. Seem liked a drop in meeting place for older students but pleasant. There is also a restaurant at the other side of the apt block called Rose Garden which offer 10% off for residents of Amano once you show your door card. We didn’t use it so can’t comment. However, apart from a popular pizzeria bout 400m away, we didn’t find any more restaurants or bars nearby so we generally ate in other places and returned to bar at corner for a night cap. Also be aware they charge a city tax here which I presume is mandatory. For 4 nights we paid €24 which is steep enough. The bathroom is lovely and spacious with
nice products provided for showering along with towels, hairdryer etc

I enjoyed this hotel and the minimalist quirky design. Some might think it’s too cold but it’s as advertised in the pictures. The mattress was too thin/hard for me but that’s my preference. The staff were super sweet and friendly!

Cubist decoration a bit clumsy and not so cozy but its fine.
Beautiful view.
Bed’s lining was old and cheap - they should get new ones. They offer no type of coffee or tea in the room and you have to pay for it and get it at the reception.
Overall is ok and i could stay again.

Our first day,we noticed the air conditioning was not working but decided to give it sometime to cool, 4 hours later I proceeded to call the night reception.The guy I spoke to told me off for not calling earlier and went on to ask me what “we” should do, he was rude and I asked to speak to his manager as I could not continue speaking to him, he then apologised and said he would call me back in 10mins. He did call back and send a mobile air conditioning unit to our room.
The next morning, we woke up to water on the floor and the carpet from the mobile unit.
I called the reception and informed them and asked to be moved to a different room. At that point the lady at the reception said all the air conditioning had just been serviced and were all working fine. I told her ours was not working and it was causing us distress and we had a 4year old with us. She said she had 20people to check out that morning, basically she was rude and hung up on me.I then called her back and asked if she hung up and she denied it. Eventually we were moved to a new room later that day on the 5th floor. When you come out of the lift to that floor, a stench hits your nose. We had to crawl into bed each night as the sides of the bed had been used up for storage.
The staff were clueless on activities tourists could do in the area, it always felt like they were being bothered.This place caused us great distress, I would NEVER go back or recommend this place to anyone.

Amano is an amazing place to stay, since it’s on front of my office, the location is perfect to me! The room has all amenities you can think about, and the design is great!
3 things to improve: the main door, I had a lot of issues to open it after 9pm, it seems it’s broken, and managers know about it, but they don’t fix it... the internet was on and off; and I had to constantly ask for refills of the bathroom products.

Renting an apartment in a foreign country can always be something of a gamble - but this one paid off, Very modern and spacious apartment ideally suited for long weekend city break - we did 4 days (3 nights) and used here as a base as it was only a 10 minute walk from Alexanderplatz central station and tubeline. it was a great base for less than one would have paid for staying in the east. Clean, modern, fresh, affordable and well located I couldn't have asked for more. Can get a bit noisy with traffic outside but this is more the sheer volume (in decibels) of the german ambulance sirens than anything else

The property was very clean and a great size! The location is perfect, the underground is literally next door, only one stop away from Alexandraplatz. The staff are lovely and friendly and there all day. The only downside was the noisy tram during the night and only one pillow. But they are minor it was near perfect!

The location is great for sight seeing and right next to the Rosa-Luxembourg Platz U-Bahn station. The neighborhood has plenty of restaurants, cafes, and bars. The room was equipped with a full kitchen in case you wanted to cook some of your own meals and the bathroom was spacious.

Perfect apartment hotel for a business trip

The room is clean and tastefully decorated as you see on the photos. There’s a supermarket nearby. Also lots of nice restaurants and shops.
If you have a choice, I recommend you to ask for a room on a higher floor especially if you’re not used to the street noise. The staff are nice and they’ll try to do their best to accommodate your preference.

Amazing apartment hotel

AMANO Home is an amazing apartment hotel - literally outside of the Rosa Luxemburg Platz U Bahn station - conveniently located only one stop away from the heart of Berlin - Alexanderplatz.
Had no issues with the hotel at all - the apartment was modern and clean, with all amenities - fridge, dishwasher, iron, ironing board, pots and pans and cutlery. Couldn’t fault anything.
The hotel is situated on a busy road but the windows are sound proof so you would have never known.
Apartment is surrounded by several supermarkets (Netto, Rewe and Edeka) so was easy to stock the fridge.
Would recommend.

Great stay

We had all the comforts of home in this apartment however there was no \"start up\" kit ie a couple of tea bags/coffee sachets, sugar or milk. We went to reception to collect our tea bags and we were charged €1.20 EACH!
The trams run right past the door, there are several bars and eateries within steps of the hotel. We loved it and would recommend it.

I would keep you updated in case we had at your House on 25/8/2018.
In the morning when we woke up the entire House, including mattresses, suitcases, shoes, food was full of ants. I told that to the guy who was sitting in the Office, but nothing was done!
I can attach pictures to prove it's your House.
And my kids have lots of bites and it is very bad that I and my children are suffering from severe algiout and take medication accordingly.
I want to hear how you can make up for aggravation and in case you do, I post negative comments and photos out!

We booked the 2 bedroom apartment with the roof terrace. The view form the terrace was fantastic. I sat out there for hours each evening.

The apartment was very modern and clean. It had everything we needed for 4 nights in Berlin, including a dishwasher (with tablets), fridge, microwave, a hob and a kettle.

The Amano Home is situated right next to the U-Bahn (one stop from Alexanderplatz) and a Tram stop. You can get anywhere in the centre of the city in less than 15 minutes by the excellent public transport system. There are excellent restaurants and cafes nearby. Good Morning Vietnam (just around the corner) is excellent value. The Back Factory is also good for a cheap breakfast or sandwich (one stop on the tram to Rosenthaler Platz).

Overall, I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Berlin.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Apartment very clean. Allowed in a little bit early on arrival. Had restaurants recommended to us by reception and meals there were excellent. As 3 of us really pleased that 3 towels, 3 beds prepared etc as often travelling with a child you end up with the 3 person being forgotten about. Very close to all transport links. Cons - front desk service was not helpful or friendly, rather if you asked anything they either didn’t know or you appeared to be taking up their time from the computer. The bed is set down low on a platform and the bathroom has a large window over the bed.

Had a great 4 night stay! Was there with my partner and the room was ideal, very spacious and comfortable. We have been to Berlin before so were looking for somewhere we could prepare breakfasts and enjoy a beer in the bath. There are two great biomarts within walking distance and the Ubahn station is about 30 seconds from the door.

One of the best value for money hotels I’ve ever stayed in! About 40ft from the entrance of a U-Bahn station, across the road from a small shop and chemist, ideally located on the U2 line for access to the rest of the city.

The room itself was very spacious, our studio apartment had the usual amenities (microwave, hob, utensils, pans...) but also has a Nespresso machine, Bluetooth speaker, yoga mat and dumbbells! The bath was lovely, unfortunately for us there was a large crack in it so did not feel comfortable to fill it and try it out! The bed was huge, a little hard, but comfortable nonetheless.

The whole hotel had a premium feel to it, we saw 4 different reception staff over the 4 day trip and each one was most polite and helpful... if I had to make a suggestion it would be that you could offer some basic food stuffs for a small price (cheese, milk, bread) that people could purchase upon arrival.

I would 100% stay here again, my 6th time in Berlin and this hotel certainly impressed me more than any other I’ve stayed in.

It had everything that we needed, all the amenities to make your stay as if you were in an apartment. The staff was friendly and helped with everything we needed.
The area is full of good restaurants of all types, and it has a U line right next to it.
Its very close to Alexanderplatz also.

Five star hotel for three-star prices

A five-star hotel for a three-star price! I could not believe the room which had a complete kitchen discreetly built-in. Although the hotel is located on a major street, I never was disturbed by noise. In fact, the hotel was so quiet that at times I thought no one else was there. The staff: charming, most helpful and multilingual. A great breakfast place is located next door. I shall return!!

The apartment advertising makes a big deal about its design, but in my view the aesthetics took precedence over functionality. For example, whilst the kitchen Looks like it has everything you need, the dishes are too large to fit in the dishwasher, and the microwave is hard to access (very low). And then there is no table to work/eat at.

Great stay!

We've just returned from a 5 night stay at AMANO Home, and we loved it. Room had almost everything you needed, including a dishwasher - the only thing it missed was a bread knife. The room was very modern, and was a really good size. Our only issue was the floor in our room was filthy, we wrote it on the card for the maid but it still didn't get cleaned whilst we were there. The reception staff were really friendly and were always happy to help, and even gave us a free map of Berlin when we arrived. They told us where the best bakery was round the corner, which we really recommend.
Overall, a great stay and we would return.

Vero close to restaurante And bars. Transport from Alexanderplatz only take a few minutes although the hotel is only about 20 mins walking from that station!

Stylish yet homey option in Prenzlauerberg

Visiting my son who's studying in Berlin for a semester, I stayed here for just one night, but really enjoyed it. The location is great, and the place feels cozy with only 30-odd rooms. Receptionists were friendly and helpful, double-paned windows kept the street noise out, and cunningly-designed kitchen was a source of wonder.

Fantastic apartment hotel

Loved the place- great new hotel apartment..right next to Tube station- fully equipped apartment and laundry costs just 2 Euro per load (if you bring your own detergent)

The only problem was that the main bedroom light was not working - we made do with the table lamps and despite complaining they only came to resolve the problem when we were checking out 2 days later

Would have given 5 stars

Room and price were both great. Brand new hotel and everything inside is extremely modern. Really good lay out and they filled the room with a bunch of extra items with everything from a coffee machine to a yoga mat/ weights. Really close to Rosa Luxembourg station and only 5 minute walk to Alexanderplatz. This place would have easily received 5 stars from me if it wasn't for the hotel workers constantly walking into my room while I was there! They are still doing some of the finishing touches on some of the rooms so 3 times builders barged into my room. They would knock and open the door at the same time, even if I yelled out. By the third time I had had enough and kicked the door closed in their face as they were opening it. I complained to reception and received an apology.

Perfect hotrl

Everything is perfect. Spacious room with all the necessary things included. Dishwasher, microwave, pots, plates, coffee machine, iron etc. Even there was 2 kg dumbells and a mat to exercise. Super easy self check-in and check-out. In the middle of the city. Metro and tram right in front of the hotel. In walking distance to lots of attractions. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants around.Definitely 5/5

Great location, super service-minded staff

Love the Amano chain - great locations across Berlin. Amano Home works very well and has a good service level for an apart-hotel. Super service-minded staff helped with an early check-in and the cleaning team is so nice and thorough. Highly recommend.
