Check in and check out was a painful arduous ordeal.
I booked and paid for breakfast and by the last day they were convinced i was not entitled to breakfast until i whipped out the receipt as proof.
Even though i paid at check-in, they charged additional fees at checkout which should have been communicated and charged at check in.
Stains in room and long hair in bathroom.

Tthe staff were great but the room had no air con at all and the carpet was made of sonething which have me a rash when I did my stretching exercises that I have to do.
There was no table that I could use to plan my day or even a kettke or fridge.

The staff on duty (I didn't get her name) on 25 Feb/1900hr est was extremely helpful and friendly. She was patient in explaining the hotel's policy to me and when I needed a power adaptor urgently as mine was incompatible, she immediately provided me with one which was such a life saver. I hope she knows who she is but thank you so much. Danke - great stay and very happy to recommend to anyone staying over in Berlin

Excellent stay, with a fantastic location that made getting around and returning to the hotel effortless. We were pleasantly surprised by how affordable Uber was, perhaps due to the area. The room, though not large, was cozy and comfortable. The highlight was the morning staff—Andrea and Bruna were incredibly attentive, polite, kind, proactive, and efficient. Andrea, in particular, stood out with his friendly demeanor and multilingual skills; we spoke in English, Portuguese, Italian, and Spanish. Kudos to him! We’ll definitely return on our next visit.

Amazing and very professional Staff loved how they treated and talked.10/10 for lovely Paolo.

But the mattress was hurting my back, the sink kept on blocking….which made it very hard to brush my teeth.
The shower water kept on coming out which made it very uncomfortable to have a shower incase it will flood the room.
And we didn't get our room cleaned, even though the cleaners trolley was outside our room but was told that the lift was out of order which was a lie.

It’s okay. You get what you pay for! Me and a friend had a standard twin room. Very small room, not really anywhere to put anything, and no water/ tea & coffee facilities in the room. But if you just want somewhere to sleep for a couple of nights it’s okay. Decent location, very close to transport links and walking distance to some really good restaurants. You can walk to Alexanderplatz and get a direct train to the airport in 30 mins. Probably wouldn’t use again but it was clean, and the staff were very friendly.

I will never stay in an Ibis again. (2 times with same issues) I usually only comment if I have a great review but I was so disappointed with our room. Firstly it is like a voyeur and a clown got together to design this room. There was no wall between the bedroom and shower so if you are planning on staying with a friend or family member be prepared to be very uncomfortable with any privacy. Then there is a step for no apparent reason to the sink and shower and the shower door only opens outwards so when you try to step out after putting clothes on before you get out of shower you need to carefully step out so you do not fall down the step and the shower floor is extremely slippery. If you did decide to step out naked there is a mirror directly facing the area so that anyone on the bed can watch you awkwardly postioning yourself trying to put clothes on. or dry yourself. However the toilet is enclosed but the door opens inward and makes for an awkward movement to get out. The only 2 PowerPoints are at floor level, one next to far side of one bed with no room for a table. The air conditioner was terrible and smelt very badly. The carpets were worn and in bad need of shampooing. The wifi was constantly freezing. In a 4 day stay we put sign out out do not disturb but when we did leave off only our bin was emptied. Windows are not sound proofed. The only saving grace was the staff who were amazing. Friendly and helpful at all times and the location was fantastic.

Highly recommend this hotel just for the location alone, it’s very convenient and you can get around Berlin easily. The U-Bahn and trams is literally beside the hotel. Loads of restaurants, pubs and shops bear the hotel too which is handy. The staff were really friendly and informative and you also get free tea and coffee after 12pm in the main lobby. The price to stay here per night is affordable especially with it being in the city centre and in a great location. We had good views from our hotel room and good facilities like A/C, wifi, TV (no Netflix and every channel was in German) and a hairdryer.
The cons about our stay were:
The room had a funky smell to it like as if someone had farted, the smell would appear randomly throughout our stay, we suspect it’s from the vents. The room was not the cleanest, the toilet bowl was dirty and stained brown and there was an empty sprite bottle underneath the bed. The room size was standard and the double bed took up a lot of space so our bags being on the floor would get in our way sometimes - wish there were cupboards to put your stuff away. Would have liked a kettle in the room with tea/coffee or even an iron and ironing board. The pillows weren’t the best, they lost shape and bunched up after the 2nd day and it was pretty uncomfortable to lie on. The shower is open so if someone is lying on the bed, they can see you coming out of the shower so just be weary of that. We give this hotel 3/5. Would definitely stay here again :)

This was a great central location and although situated in a busy intersection, our room was very quiet. It is a walkable area with many top destinations within walking distance, just look at a map! But if not up for walks, the U-Bahn was outside the door, S-Bahn station as well. Restaurants, bars, coffee, all close by. I will stay there again.

This was not listed as a no-frills location, but it sure felt that way. There weren’t even drinking glasses in the room, not to mention the bottled water I received at all five of the other hotels I visited. I found it hard to see the uneven floor leading to the sink and shower because there was no color or pattern variation in the flooring. It may have been hip and trendy, but it was also dangerous and I tripped on it several times. The cleaner took my personal towel that I brought to save the hotel towels from hair dye stains and staff couldn’t recover it for me. All they offered in recompense was to let me USE one of theirs. It was also hot, noisy and extremely cramped, not what I expect when paying in excess of 100 Euros per night. Don’t choose this hotel if you have another choice.

Good hotel with small room

The hotel is quite convenient with a u barn line and tram line right in front of the hotel. Easily accessible to the Central station via tram. However the room is awkwardly designed. There is minimum space to put your luggage or even toiletries in the toilet. Probably it is more suitable for single than double or twin sharing ( the bed is very comfortable despite the room size )
The hotel offers complimentary beverages ( coffee & tea) and light snack ( croissant) during the day which was so generous, especially nice after a day out in the cold.
Services was excellent. I would like to specially thank Services staff Tareq for his attentiveness and initiative when attending to us.

Rooms are small. The interior design isn't user friendly (I'd say \"stupid\" if I can be less polite) at all. The unnecessary separation of toilet, lavatory and shower stand looks and feels uncomfy. The extra step was not safe for elderlies in our group. The bed frames are coated with dust... The only advantage is the location for sure.

We didn’t know where to look for hotel locations. Stumbled across this hotel and booked it after seeing reviews. All of the positive reviews are correct. Room was on the point of hotel with four windows for an amazing views. Clean and novelty stocked. Updated decor and roomy. You do hear the tram run by, but so goes life in a big city. Nothing ear plugs couldn’t phase out for a light sleeper. Such a great location with tram and subway right there and plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants in immediate vicinity. The staff were gracious and helpful. Gave us great insight on public transportation routes/options. Breakfast was fantastic with a large assortment of breakfast food and beverage options to choose from. Lastly we took advantage of their parking. Very convenient and reasonably priced. Highly recommend this hotel. You won’t be disappointed.

It was just too loud! We stayed on the 4th floor. But the music from the bar/club was so loud until 2am. I think for those on the 1st floor it would be unbearable. The persistent slamming of the doors in the hotel meant that I kept popping up all night and early in the morning. Surprisingly the noise from the vehicles outside was the least of my concerns. Breakfast is okay meat, cheese, egg, yogurt and bread. Pluses are good location near restaurants, public transport and central.

It wasn't a pleasant stay at all... room is extremely small, don't have a closet to hang your clothes, reception staff didn't do any extramile to help and they always look miserable!! I changed the ibiz hotel in the middle of my stay in lovely Berlin to another much better hotel which gave the right experience in staying in this city... last day when i was checking out i asked the receptionist to leave a gift to my friend who lives in Hamburg and will come after 10 days to get it... the reaction and how they handled the situation was really unprofessional from such a well known chain... be noted i have a BA degree in hotel management and hospitality and i used to work in a 5 stars hotel like Sheraton, Intercontinental, movenpick... so i know exactly what hospitality means. Thanks and good luck.

A great mid range hotel. The decor might not be to everyone's taste but the location is superb. Right in the heart of Mitte with the subway and trams at your doorstep. Walking distance to Museum Island age Alexanderplatz. Great breakfast and spotlessly clean. Literally hundreds of cool bars and eating joints in the area and the people watching is fantastic as the weird and wonderful people of Berlin are out in force every night. The rooms aren't massive but then it's central Berlin. They're perfectly adequate. I'd definitely stay here again

Upon checking in, we modified our reservation and were told we would be fully refunded for the 2nd night that we were no longer staying. The hotel staff was friendly, stated no fees would be charged and the night would be fully refunded. After no refund was issued, the hotel stated we never checked out early and charged us for an additional night AFTER we had checked out. Multiple calls to the manager were met with rudeness. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

Not a place if you want to get any sleep....

My biggest complaint is that even on one of the top floors, the outside street noise was SO loud. I could hear traffic and club/bar music ALL NIGHT LONG. The rooms were okay... they were kind of dingy and dusty. Cleanliness wasn't atrocious but was definitely not fresh. Breakfast was good with a hearty selection.

Good value, good location

This Ibis Styles is very central, being walking distance from Hackescher Markt and the Museum Island. The price is reasonable and although the hotel is basic, it covers most of your needs. The rooms are small, so I would not want to share one. Although there is nowhere to stow your suitcase, there are spaces to hang clothes. The range of TV channels is good, the wifi works well (although slightly slow), and the staff were helpful to me, printing out my boarding pass, and so on. A room facing away from the street will be quieter. However, I think there is no sound-proofing in this building, so if you have noisy neighbors, tough luck. The morning breakfast buffet was a typical continental breakfast, but there was plenty of it, including hard-boiled eggs, cheeses, meets, rolls, jam, butter, coffee, tea, etc etc. Overall, as part of a budget chain, it doesn't have any particular character, and the neighbourhood is not charming. However, overall, I felt it was good value

Ideal location, ideal price.

The hotel is almost bang centre of Berlin. Walking distance to almost anything (if you like to walk) the tube station is a 2 second walk. The rooms have everything you need, and the free breakfast was excellent. The hotel was such a great value for money. Would recommend!

We stayed at the Ibis Styles Berlin Mitte for a short city break in February. The hotel is located right next to a metro station which made transit to and from the airport very easy. The room was clean and well presented. Any issue was dealt with quickly and efficiently by staff. Breakfast was well organised with new dishes replacing empty ones very promptly. The Hotel is well situated as a base for visiting Berlin, as well as being on a metro line it is within walking distance of numerous bars and restaurants including Schwarzwaldstuben just down the road for some lovely food and Mein Haus am See just across the road for a few drinks. I would strongly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to spend a few relaxed days in Berlin.

Nice location, but the heating too hot

The room temperature was too high, and the air conditioner wasn't work properly, need to open the window in the middle of the night. Other then this problem, everything else was good and satisfy.

It a budget hotel

Very good clean budget hotel , very good continental breakfast. It's a shame about clear glass shower door
But you get value for money
