We loved this authentic and delightful property. Rooms are all different, each accompanied by paintings and vintage and beautiful art and amenities. Flower filled courtyard for coffee in the morning or wine in the evening. Highly recommend.

The room, courtyard and common area are gorgeous, historic, and well maintained. You must come before noon to get your key if you don’t have international phone calling. The train station is about a 20 minute walk. It is close to many tourist spots. There is a wonderful Italian restaurant right around the corner and also a cafe. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel and courtyard. Lovely rooms and very nice staff. Need to know that the hotel, like many in Berlin, does not have air conditioning. We had a couple of warm nights so that can be a challenge for some. Strongly recommended if AC is not a requirement.

Overall the boutique hotel is wonderful. Stefanie the receptionist who checked me in and out was so lovely and I felt very taken care of. They even let me check in several hours early. However, the night receptionist Anna was not very friendly or accommodating. Everything I asked for was met with a \"no\" and I had to convince her that I needed/wanted it. She was on the phone at one point and I was waiting at the desk to ask her something and she looked at me and just said \"yea?\". For 200 euros a night, I expect a good guest experience. Stefanie did give this to me. The walls are a little thin and you can hear people in the halls but it was still quiet enough to work and sleep. Overall, it was terrific and I would definitely stay here again. Just hoping Anna gets a little more customer service training before my next visit.

Honigmond was a cozy hotel in the bustling Mitte neighbourhood of Berlin. The room was quaint yet comfortable. The checkin process was easy, and the hotel even accommodated early check-in and bag storage for us. Would absolute recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Berlin and the Mitte area.

A beautiful little boutique hotel in a heritage building. We loved the location in Mitte, and it was nice and quiet. Breakfast was HUGE. Nice staff. Good to have coffee and tea freely available in the foyer.

Honigmond was the perfect base for our time in Berlin. It was easy to walk to many great restaurants and some of the major sites of the city, while also being on a nice quiet street. The hotel itself is very beautiful and charming, but also comfortable and priced well. Will definitely stay here again on our future visits!

It was unique in terms of its decor. There were 4 things we didn’t like. First the desk staff wasn’t there 24 hours. That meant when I left early for the airport I was alone in the dark, hoping the taxi would be there. Unsettling. Second, the shower floor was slippery. Third, the breakfast at Nomad’s wasn’t good so we only ate there once. Fourth, no hair conditioner was provided.

We loved this hotel. It was in a great neighbourhood, the room was huge and nicely decorated. The courtyard is lovely, the snack area is nicely done. My only advice is the breakfast, at 18 euros, isn’t worth it, or rather, it’s too much food, so better to just order a la carte or go to the Bondi Cafe a block away. Overall loved this hotel.

The Hotel was well kept and well managed. The room was very nice both in style and cleanness and the bed was super comfortable. I even liked the fact that we could use the conference room, that was very convenient since I had to work on Friday. However, one thing I did not like was the breakfast, nothing wrong with the food itself but it was too expensive for what it offers.

Hotel in perfect spot room lovely if not a little tired. Also ran out of shower gel did ask reception but it was not filled up .
Toilet bowl could if done with a bleach too.
But apart from those minor issues I would recommend the hotel

A very good hotel

The hotel was excellent, with kind and helpful staff. We had a large room, which was ideal for a 4 night stay. The area was also convenient, with quick access to the S-Bahn at Nordbahnhof, giving direct access to the main sights. There are several nearby restaurants.
We were less enthusiastic about the breakfast at the adjoining restaurant. Quite expensive for tepid coffee and cold eggs.

Honigmond: An Art Boutique of a Hotel

The staff is very nice & the hotel is quite lovely. There is art hanging throughout the building and in each room, giving the place a sophisticated upscale feel like an old Victorian home or museum. The location is great too, located a short distance away from The Berlin Wall Memorial site and other popular tourist attractions within Berlin.

Beautifully re-built hotel, with many modern touches. The staff are friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is clean and quiet, and about a 5 minute walk from the tram (no problem to roll luggage from the train station or airport).

Hotel is well located with good restaurants nearby. Breakfast is very variable and relatively expensive. It's buffet style and replenishment can be poor. Our room was small, but adequate, and the wooden floorboards creak!

I was pleased by the hotel, and it's lovely, but left with a sour after taste once I learned that I had to pay extra for my friend who stayed over so she can could have breakfast with her friend in the morning. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant. I foot the bill, so she wouldn't have to pay, but to pay 25 euros for a single bed, single pillow, single sheet for a few hours when she doesn't have luggage was something that not expected from classy place. That's all.

Amazing experience!

Honigmond Boutique Hotel exceeded all of our expectations. It was a very charming old building that they renovated. The service was amazing and the rooms were so beautiful. I also liked how close it was to cafes. I most definitely recommend this place.

Charming classy hotel in a convenient location.

We loved it here. The art on the walls, the history of the building(s) and the staff all made it a memorable stay. A stone's throw from Fredrickstrasse and many of the central locations. Our room was warm and cozy but had loads of room for our 2 cases (and mu husbands guitar and music equipment ;) Highly recommend this to anyone and recommend searching for more on the historical importance of this site which was a high draw for us.

We enjoyed the old world charm of this small hotel which is located in a residential neighborhood close to public transportation, restaurants and shops. Ambient restaurant with excellent breakfasts; lovely
little garden and library. We felt very fortunate to be in such a gentle place and yet so close to
where the action is. The hotel staff all spoke English and were helpful and accommodating.

Romantic, clean, and convenient hotel

We stayed here for 3 nights on our honeymoon. The hotel is quiet, well-maintained, and the staff is very helpful. The rooms are very charming, with a romantic, rather than modern decor. We did the breakfast/brunch on a Sunday, and while we enjoyed it, we were also happy with going to local bakeries and cafes for breakfast as well.

Great value, fun neighborhood.

The Honigmond is a great location for exploring Berlin, especially the immediate neighborhood,the Mitte, which is full of chic shops, art galleries and restaurants in the surrounding 10 blocks or so. It was a great value for the low price. The rooms were immaculately clean, but the decor was pretty kooky. Only downsides were the breakfast, (extra 9 Euros) which was only passable, so skip that and have coffee at any of the nearby cafes. And the staff was inexperienced and not very knowledgable about the quality of the nearby restaurants. (There is actually a Michelin One Star restaurant, Rutz, a block and a half away, which we found online. Went there for my birthday. Superb food, but exorbitantly expensive. Only for special occasions.)
All in all, Honigmond was a great place to stay if you're on a budget, but if you are used to luxurious hotels, this is not the right fit.

Loved this small, boutique hotel in a beautiful, quiet and central neighbourhood. It offered what the big chains can't - a uniquely German experience. The breakfast its corner cafe puts on is good value for money - unlimited buffet. We did miss not having complimentary coffee and tea in the room but on the other hand loved the complimentary newspapers!

Charming hotel in a great location. The room was comfortable, though mornings came with a touch of courtyard construction noise. Access after reception hours was a little tricky, but manageable.
Morning coffee was available, although my attempt to enjoy it in my own cup earned me a gentle scolding from the manager — a moment straight out of Fawlty Towers ☕😉

Mysigt hotell i den bästa delen av Mitte

Perfekt läge i den mysigaste delen av Mitte, nära alla kommunikationer. Nära trevliga restauranger, caféer, barer och personliga nattöppna kulturcenter.
Hotellet är underbart och personligt inrett (preussisk, romantik med drag av the Overlook Hotel från The Shining), rummen är mycket spatiösa, sängarna sköna och det finns en mysig innergård där man kan vila sig från stadens larm.
Det som drar ner betyget något är att receptionen är klent bemannad, det saknas restaurang och frukostmatsal även om ett av Berlins bästa frukost- och brunchställen ligger alldeles intill.

Merveilleux séjour à Berlin malgré cet hotel!

Emplacement et accueil sont les points positifs...pour le reste:des rideaux qui ne cachent pas la lumière au petit matin,un petit dej cher et très mauvais,des vélos en mauvais état....bref on s'attendait à beaucoup mieux
Visiblement la direction s' interesse plus à sa rentabilité qu'à ses clients. DOMMAGE!

Ok hotell. Centralt o praktiskt. Inredningen var inte riktigt i nivå med priset (finare på bilderna). Hade det varit min smekmånad hade jag blivit besviken.

Pga covid var det själv-check-in. Den enda gång vi hörde från personalen var när vi skulle betala skatteavgifyen vid check-out. Inga egentliga problem med detta, nyckeln låg där den skulle och alla instruktioner var lättbegripliga, kontakten per mail vänlig. Frukosten på restaurangen bredvid (som hotellet bjöd på) var en av de bästa jag ätit. Men det kunde speglats i priset.

Det låga servicebetyget handlar om att det var obemannat, inte personalens sätt, som var oklanderligt.

Förhållandet pris - kvalitet på inredning - obemannat drar ner betyget på vad som i övrigt är ett bra alternativ i Berlin centralt i Mitte.

Decor & staircase are lovely. Good building climate despite no climate control. Room wise few power outlets - not practical in this day & age. Not liking the plastic floors in the rooms [halls are nice hardwood]. Shower leaks massively no matter what you do. Also the mattress was really bad or just worn out. Beware for people who need a full length body mirror.

Distinguished Art Deco in Mitte

The Honigmond [German for honeymoon] hotels are my favorite hotels in Berlin. The furnishing is to a very high standard, lots of natural high quality materials which I personally always prefer, especially the hard wood floors. The Honigmond Garden Boutique Hotel gets extra points for the amazing, luscious inner courtyard garden & slightly more convenient location although they’re both very conveniently located within short walking distance from public transport incl. Berlin Central, fantastic specialty coffee shops & one of my main customers [important for my business travel]. With regard to business travel, like usual in boutique hotels there is a dearth of conveniently placed power outlets but you can make do. Also, no elevators. In my experience the rooms at the Honigmond Hotel are in a newer state than at HGBH but that might not be representative.
