Honestly I didn't like in general. Stuff is not as polite as I expected. Maybe I expected a lot. I rented a capsule, capsule didn't have any cooling system apart from some holes on the capsule doore and ventilation hole on the corner .

One of the worst places I've ever stayed. Checked in and was given absolutely no information on lockers, towels, safe etc. I had booked a capsule. It was horrendous. Like sleeping in a coffin. Everytime I turned over or even moved in the slightest, the noise from the creaking of the wood was loud enough to wake you, they are horrendous. Impossible to sleep. Even worse when a load of drunk lads get in at 4.30am and spend literally the next two hours shouting, talking, marching up and down, banging doors. It was relentless. The place says there's a 24/7 reception but the capsule block is a building away so staff will do nothing to address this if it happens. I'd travelled for over 10 hours before checking into this place just after midnight in need of rest and it was the worst night I've ever had, the thought of another night there was depressing so I checked out and booked a proper hotel for the remaining two nights, cut my losses and worth every penny. I've already been told they won't refund me for the nights I had already paid for and whilst its a small price to pay never having to return, its a disgrace considering how appalling it is. The showers were awful, one was full of hair. I cannot express this enough - stay away, you are worth so much more than one second in this place

The bathroom was an entire room with the toilet and shower! It was right next to multiple transit options! Excited to stay again in a week.

The location was great and the facilities were always clean and in order. I think the showers sometimes are inconsistent on temperature and how long they run but they work fine otherwise. The bar has cheap drinks and an easy place to socialize as well.

Bedbugs and DO NOT BOOK IF YOURE AN EXPEDIA MEMBER

Terrible experience as the hostel had bedbugs that both of my family members experienced ( it wasn’t a problem of only one bed). The shared bathroom didn’t have paper and it was too small to fit all people per floor.
But the worst experience was because they charged me on site for the nights again after I paid through the hotels.com app. They claimed that they don’t have “direct” communication with Expedia and that’s why they couldn’t help me solving the issue. A guy named Tom was very rude by email and never helped solving the issue.

If you don’t have communication with the service provider , why do you work with them? So illogical…

Do yourself a favor and do not book there, there are many other options- im an experienced traveler and can tell you this has been one of the worst experiences.

Brilliant, really surprised.

Stayed here in Berlin and I have to admit, I’ve never stayed in a low cost hostel before so yes I was slightly apprehensive about what waited for us 😂 I needn’t have worried.

check in was first class, young man (hearts fc supporter) was brilliant, rooms were excellent. For what we paid it was tremendous. Zero complaints at all. Will defo stay again.

They did not offer us towels until after we had used our own wash clothes to bathe. Then we had to ask for towels. Didn’t know they would provide them. Should have been offered at check in. Their luggage storage area is out in the open and only available for a couple of hours. Noisy busy road with lots of construction. Sheets were clean.,beds were comfortable. Mold in shower curtains. Really load music in lobby at times. Some very loud walking in the halls during night but only temporary. Strict cancelation policy, no flexibility even about 4 weeks ahead.

Great hostel! Although breakfast price was way too high so bought breakfast elsewhere, and it looked like it was understaffed with the staff being overworked. One guy said he had only gotten 3 hours of sleep the night before. Great location, great prices, and clean! Will definitely come here again soon!

It was very nice to get to know everyone in my room, which made for easy friends when you're travelling solo. However, as a light sleeper, I struggled to sleep with 7 other people in the room and bed that squeal whenever someone moves. The staff was incredible, and the location cannot be beat. If you're a good sleeper, I would probably recommend this hostel.

Not bad, but pricy for a hostel

It was expensive for a hostel. I think the area is more expensive (Berlin downtown) and I booked short notice, but I feel like it was over priced compared to other areas of Germany and for it being a hostel. Otherwise it was a bed for a night, but do not expect any more than that. They also require a deposit to be put down for the key cards, which I found odd.
In all, it was good for the night, but I would be alot happier if it was the typical hostel price. I felt like I was paying for a hotel and got a bare bones hostel.

Very enjoyable stay!

Location was the best thing. Right in the centre, next to the New Synagogue, it’s within walking distance (about 10-minute walk) to anything in Berlin Centre, such as Alexanderplatz or Reichstag. It was a nice and calm place.
The staff there were really friendly, always helping you in case of needing it. We were originally five, but due to personal reasons, one of the friends couldn’t make it, so when we informed the staff about this situation, they were completely ok with it (obviously they didn’t give the money back, but it was understandable as we informed on the day we got there).
Breakfast is ok, worth it for 5€, as it’s a buffet, and you can eat as much food as you want, but it did lack a bit of choice to be honest, it included bread, jam, butter, cereals, yogurt, fruit and some orange juice. Although whenever you wanted you could have free coffee, tea, or water throughout the day, which was very generous.
They have a happy hour which everyone really enjoyed! The WiFi works great, and kitchen facilities are good!
The room was clean, bed sheets and towels provided, and quite spacious. But be aware cleaning staff do enter throughout the day, which we were not informed about and really didn’t want them to.
The bathroom facilities were not bad, but could have been better, as the two showers next to our bedroom didn’t work, so we had to go over to the other side, but they were clean, which is the main thing.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

My bad experience

Unfortunately my experince was bad at the hostel. I booked for private room and there is no toilette in the room and regarding this there was no sign on the booking page!! In the morning of course toiletts are full and busy!! If I would know that I would not book with them. The bed was uncomfortable. Even I booked private room and paid lot of money I have to make my bed myself!! There was so much noise in the night, in the morning, during the night.. It was impossible to sleep!! I was all the time tired :(( Also wifi doesn not work at the rooms either :(( It sucks! So I am not satisfied with this booking.

I don't usually stay hostel any more, but it was good and I can stay here again.
You can have a locker to secure your luggages, also you can lock and use whole bath room so that you can have some privacy in there.
One improvement
point is, reception is too crowded and should have two when there is a line.

There are better options but this is not bad.

The hostel was ok, a bit hard to get to but once you're explained how to move around is quite easy. All the top bunks were very bent and used the metal mesh broken which felt unsafe for bottom-bunkers. Also people smoke on the inner courtyard and if you open your window (no a/c) you get smoked out. The rest was good.

Great for the first-timers

I left my country to visit Berlin by myself. It was a fantastic experience and I don't regret that I went alone. It was really easy for me to get there from the SXF \"flughafen\" and once I got to the hostel, I felt really welcome by the staff. Rooms are really OK, bathrooms too. I walked over 50km in 3 days, but that's only because I love doing the sightseeing this way, most of the attractions are really close. If you're not a fan of long walk, the friedrichstrasse station is really close.

Perfectly placed, central hostel in Mitte

Very easy transportation from both airports TXL & SXF, right next to oranienburgerstraße s-bahn station and the great bars and eateries in the area, a couple of stations away from the main ring of the transport system on one side, and alexanderplatz on the other.

There's a bit of a H2G2 theme throughout the hostel, brilliantly thought out artwork all over the place.

Our room had a shower and a sink this time, they were well placed and the sink unit doubles up as a modesty screen to stop you getting the full frontal from your roommate. The option of communal showers in the corridors is there, and they are well maintained and kept very clean. That's right folks, people have respect for each other and the facilities they use here :) double plus good

No beer or cooking in the rooms - fantastic idea, their bar downstairs is very competitively priced (though could do with a schwartzbier ;) ) and for the most parts the residents are pretty friendly - and the lounge is very comfortable. Very eclectic mix of music depending on who's on the bar/counter, heard everything from litfiba to pink floyd to new age mixes. Our room was above the bar/reception and was so well insulated that we couldn't hear anything from the bar after the tough decision to go and crash out was made.

The pizza/pasta place on the corner is top notch food wise, and the silberfisch bar is across the road (legendary).

This is an absolutely awesome place and I will definitely be back next year

Convenient and clean hostel

This hostel was catered towards student travellers, so we were worried the rooms would be quite noisy at night. The common areas did get a little noisy, but generally after 11pm it was quiet. The rooms were clean and there are lockers provided to keep your belongings safe. The communal bathrooms were quite clean, however, it depended on who lived in the hostel at the time (we were lucky as everyone seemed to keep the common areas clean).

The only real positive things about this hostel that it is in the centre of Berlin, has good transport links and serves cheap beer.

The beds are of poor quality and do not all have access to a plug or light. There are not enough toilets/bathrooms for the huge number of beds the hostel has. The staff are generally rude and disinterested. The hostel is regularly frequented by large groups of very young (18-19 year old) travellers who just want to get drunk and party. The hostel has no interest in organise any activities or trying to foster a communal atmosphere.

This hostel is not ideal for solo travellers and is at best average to mediocre.

We stayed in a private room with ensure shower room. The room was large, clean and quiet but could have been warmer. The bathroom was clean and the shower powerful. Location was great for sightseeing although not so good for bars in the evening. Overall good value for the money.

There is surge pricing so each day is different. They make you pay a 10€ deposit for the key and bed sheets, if you pay it on card they will return in it cash (without possibility to return it by card?). The showers you have to push and hold, it will immediately stop if you aren’t holding it. Additionally, the mattresses feel like sleeping on the metal bed frame. You will toss and turn all night and each time the frame will creak. Also they do not wash the blankets. You get what you pay for with this one.

Well, the capsules are not full of fresh air, fans should be monitored. The bed did not feel comfortable. Shower was not clean enough, curtains are transparent. Kitchen equipment is not clean enough. Rules on bringing your own drinks and limits on kitchen using hours not really good. Close to supermarket, the free coffee available during your stay is a plus! Line management not very professional for check in. Did not like the customer respect and communication style of some of the youngsters. Pricing would be altered for the nights of the week.

Genel anlamda fiyat-performans açısından iyi diyebilirim ama bazı günler fiyatlar inanılmaz pahalı olabiliyor. Son dakika boşluk olunca fiyatları minimuma çekiyorlar; ben de bu şekilde uygun fiyata yer buldum.

Check-in yaptıktan sonra havlunuzu hemen isteyin. Yoksa sonradan aşağı inip tekrar çıkmak zorunda kalabilirsiniz, uğraşmayın.
