This hotel has a great location in Berlin, within walking distance of the station and plenty of restaurants.

I liked the neighborhood, great access to transport, walkable and convenient. I had an early check in which was great to get fresh, leave my bag and start exploring the city. The room was reasonably clean and comfortable. It would be much better if there were disposable slippers too.

Thought breakfast was included, no price on entry to breakfast, waiter just ticked off room number ( normal when included. They normally say pri e if not )
Very suprised when got a bill for €82. €20.50 each for cornflakes and toast, disgracefull price.
Was also the most expensive meal we had thoughout our 3 day visit.

Also no aircon in room, very hot, hard to sleep, no draught from window either ( faced into enclosed courtyard )
No staff at our hotel, all run from hotel accross road, very poor.

Hellhörig zur Gangtüre, wurden jeden Morgen von zuschlagenden Türen geweckt. Kein Kühlschank, nur Wasserflaschen um € 4,50, sehr ungemütliches Zimmer mit „Blick“ in einen sonnenleeren Hof. Zusammengeschobene Einzelbetten statt Doppelbett. Sauber, kostenloser early check-in war möglich.

Great location with a short walk to several riverside dining options. The hotel was clean and new. The only thing that may be an issue for some is the bathtub is high (2 or so feet tall). Otherwise, it is a great place to stay in Berlin.

Hot Time in Winter Berlin

Great neighborhood with easy transit access. Best breakfast buffet in Berlin. Very small rooms. Ours had three radiators and two non insulated floor to ceiling steam pipes and we could not turn down the sauna-like heat.

Lovely presented hotel for a 3 star. Very clean. Service was almost too discreet--we only seen and communicated with 1 member of staff for less than a few minutes on check in. Wasn't impressed after returning from a trip out to find our bedroom door had been left wide open by the cleaner leaving our belongings vulnerable to potential theft!! This was due to a problem with the door on room 219 that really needs fixed ASAP. Service could be a lot more visable than it is.

No warning when booking the tmroom that the hotel is under repair/construction. The noise Friday afternoon while I em was trying to sleep and again 7:30am Monday morning was deafening. Construction workers walked in and out of the front entrance hauling their tools. The reception was moved across the street at another hotel without notice so I wandered around for 15 minutes until another guest told me. The internet password they gave me was for the other hotel so it took 30 minutes for the front desk to get the tech guy to resolve. Front desk folks really worked hard and did their best but property management was horrible. Did not have a good experience.

Pleasant hotel, very loud workmen at 7.30am

Hotel was undergoing major redevelopment. I only stayed 1 night - was woken at 7.30am by very loud drilling, so no chance of a lie-in. Cleaner walked into the room at 8.30am - no idea why they couldn't have waited until I checked out. Room was comfortable and clean, and hotel was well located.

Hotel is being renovated. We weren’t aware of this when we booked. Elevator not working when we checked in. Given a 5th floor room and had to walk up with luggage-we are in our 60’s. No air conditioner but they brought up a fan. No coffee maker and breakfast additional 15 euros each. Pillows lumpy- mattress comfortable but sets into bed frame so uncomfortable to sit on edge. Tv remote didn’t work but they replaced batteries promptly. Bathroom very nice but magnifying mirror set back too far above sink so couldn’t use.

The Allegra is ideally located near the Berlin Friedrichstraße railway station which is central to all transport options for getting around Berlin using public transport. The hotel is clean and neatly maintained. The rooms provide the basics and have sufficient room for a hotel in the middle of Berlin in th elower price band.

Nice hotel - strategically placed bible on the bed

The hotel was nice and clean and the staff was good. The breakfast buffet was sufficient. There has parking, but they never told us that there was a fee to park until we checked out. The hotel has 2 parts, which are across the street from each other. You check in on one side, but you may be booked on the other side. The hotel is well located near the river and the train station. You can walk to many of the main sites in the city. You can also walk to the hop on hop off bus. There are many good restaurants and pubs in walking distance to the hotel. It is also an easy drive to the airport. I just wish I had more time in Berlin. I would stay there again.

Hotel was well-located near a railway station, underground and lots of restaurants. The room was a reasonable sized twin and kept clean but without air conditioning which was my main criticism. The staff were all helpful. I am on a gluten and dairy free diet which I know is slightly problematic but there was almost no provision made-not even GF bread which was quite disappointing.

OK hotel close to many amenities

Spent only 3 nights here and the days were jam packed. Area around the hotel is easy to walk. A walk to the main train station is about a leisurely 15 mins. Plenty of restaurants along the river which is at the end of the street. Nice food!!

I went to Berlin to meet up with friends at the ITB from Botswana, also taking in a concert, play and museum. I have stayed at the Allegra before. The one thing I did not like was the tiny cubicle with shower, washbasin and toilet. Hardly room to turn around. I have been told that they will improve the bathrooms. So we shall see.

Automated hotel.

I came from the US and had made reservation online. Did not expect an automated hotel, no reception, no agent to communicate with, a kind of \"do it yourself hotel\". You get the key and instructions from another hotel across the street. Once you understand the concept, it's fine. Just not appropriate for people who like to ask questions and guidance from reception/concierge. Fine for businessmen.

I only used this hotel for an overnight stay and it ticked the boxes that were most important for me. It was close to the main train station and the places I wanted to visit in Berlin. The rooms are very basic ans quite stuffy. There is no air con or even a fan and rooms get very hot. The bathroom is very small and overall it is not worth the price. There are other nicer hotels in the area. Even their partner hotel is better.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly though. That was the only good thing about the hotel.

Two stops from the airport use the same ticket bus and a train, located in a nice neighborhood lots of reautants and bars and u can travel around. U can walk down to monbijoux park and have some drinks or sitting in the park. The room is nice. The internet is working . Bathroom clean. I will visit again

Perfect little hotel in a fantastic location

The location of this hotel was PERFECT. Walking distance to all the major tourist attractions, I was able to walk everywhere. The train station is close by though I didn't use it. I was able to attend the theater, walk along the river Spree, see all the memorials, go to all the museums in museum island. I had a single room which was modest in size, but spotless. Lots of privacy, quiet. The front desk was always responsive, though the warmth of service depended on who was behind it. Vast majority were warm and wonderful. There is one woman who should NOT be in the hospitality industry. She was quite unpleasant and dismissive not only to me but to others as well. I would keep away from her. But others were absolutely wonderful. Thanks for a great stay.

economic and clean hotel

The room is clean, quite, mattress is firmer than other hotels and comfortable. Great location, close to public transportation, walking distance to the Brandenburg gate.
Everything is great except the bathroom is too small, when showering, the floor is wet all over; the wifi works fine but you have to manually log in each time you return to the hotel.
All in all, it's a economic, convenient hotel. Better to book long time earlier than your trip to get a cheaper price.

Great location! Perfect walking distance to popular restaurants and city attractions. We tried the breakfast buffet one morning, it was good for what it was. However, I don't think it was worth the 12 Euro per person.

Also, when I booked my room, I noted that I would like a double bed. After checking in we find two single beds in the room. I go back down to the desk and tell them that I need a double bed. She informed me that I can push the two beds together, which baffled me at first because she expected me to do it myself. But she eventually offered a staff member to go do it for me, which was good. But the bed then was uncomfortable because it was two separate beds pushed together, and my husband and I had separate comforters that we had to use. Not to mention, the room was not built for the beds to be pushed together because the wall lamp that was originally in between the beds now sat directly above the bed, which we kept bumping our heads on.

The amenities also listed free toiletries which was not at all accurate. It was a all in one soap mounted on the wall which was to be use as hand soap, shampoo, and body wash. The TV did not work at all in the room. The shower did not drain very well. And the room lacked an iron.

Overall, good location but would not stay here ever again.

This place is located within walking distance of all major attractions and the Friedrichstraße train station that can take you anywhere. Not a hotel to party in as the room was not huge and the place was very quiet at night. But hey, the bars are open all night in Berlin. Why drink in your room when the German beers are under $5?

Two night solo stay. Needed something nice without being expensive and his fit the bill. Convenient location near many nice resteraunts and bars and public transport. A stone's throw rom the Beautiful Spree River and many other sites. Room was large and well laid our, bathroom was perfectly functional. For the price it was about what I expected and was not disappointed at all. TIP - you must check in at the hotel reception across the road.

Located close to Friedrichstrasse Bahnhof (5 minute walk) for easy connection via U-bahn, S-Bahn, buses, or DB trains. Neighborhood has several great restaurants and cafes across price ranges. Note the hotel does not have air conditioning so if it's a hot day your room will stay hot for a while. When this happened to me the manager quickly brought me a large fan that helped cool it off.

I guess these days most of us expect certain comforts in a room and this room did not have any of the following:
- no air con
- no safe
- no fridge
It's just a basic room that had two single beds shoved together pretending to be a queen/king sized bed. Tiny shower cubicle and toilet wedged together in what I could only describe as a box.
Breakfast was also quite average.
Excellent location but not value for money in my opinion.

I extended a business trip to Berlin by a night to do some sightseeing. The hotel is basic but perfectly adequate, the location is pretty good,a ten minute walk or so will get you to Unter den Linden. There are several restaurant and bars within a two minute walk. The room was clean and the staff helpful. I can't comment on the price as my stay was the night before the Champions League final so every hotel had whacked up their prices!!!

This hotel is very conveniently located which was the main reason I chose it. It's close to some touristy spots, plus right by the U/S trains so easy to get to other spots around Berlin. It's also just one stop away from the main train station so if you are traveling out of Berlin by train this is wonderful. The convenience was what really made my stay great. The hotel itself is nice, clean and comfortable. It's not overly spacious, but we only used it for sleeping so that did not bother us. I'd recommend this for anyone who wants a trip with minimal hassle.

Once we figured out that the street is across the river from the rail station,it is a short walk using the footbridge. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Room was comfortable and good size. Did not have a lot of contact with the staff but those we encountered were friendly and polite.

Hotel has great location and large rooms. The breakfast buffet is good. Negatives - the hotel has no reception desk and seemingly no staff on duty at all - you have to go across the road to the reception desk at another hotel. Also the hotel has a most unusual layout, with a lot of stairs up and down to the rooms and the breakfast room. The room functioned well but some people may have liked a larger bathroom than the cramped ship's-cabin-like structure in my room

This location was such an easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go. The room was clean and nice and had some character which we loved. We could see the dome of the Reichstadt from our room. No complaints! Staff friendly and helpful.
