Tolles Hotel mit einem coolen Ambiente. Saubere Zimmer (bis auf einen Kaffeefleck auf dem Bettbezug, welcher aber umgehend gewechselt wurde.) super nette Mitarbeiter und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Möglichkeit alles über ein Tablet im Zimmer bestellen zu können inkl. Infos über Restaurants etc ist eine super Sache. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Bit of quirky Hotel. Initially difficult to find, walked by twice before I started to look at building numbers and found it. Hotel sign is not obvious from sidewalk level. Their reception area is in the basement, dark, nice dungeon. I was expecting to see a woman in black lingerie with whips to come out any second. Lobby area is nicely furnished but all should be at street level so that the guest can fully utilize the lounge. It should be at where the restaurant is located. Best part of the hotel is that the Tram and Metro stopped right in front of the hotel. Everything about the hotel is Dark. Hallways and room are dark with Navy blue paint. Even the mirrors in the room is heavy tinted and you can barely see yourself. Room is small and one major issue, no refergilator in the room! My bed was described as being king size, no way! More like a double. Another issue, bathroom is nice but no vent. Take a shower and everything gets damped and wet, everything!

Stayed here for the Berlin Marathon. It was the perfect location for dining, touring, and getting to the race. The course goes by the hotel around mile 7. Great runner friendly breakfast and post-race reception.

Basic rooms are small by US standards but met my expectations. The courtyard can be noisy in the evening past midnight if the restaurant is serving outside. Closing the windows solved the issue.

I would stay there again.

Hotel is beautiful with air conditioning and nice staff. Rooms are very small if you're traveling with another person. No kettle, coffee maker, or bar fridge in the room was inconvenient for a longer stay. That said, the facilities are very well maintained and the location is great with multiple transit options. Many food/drink, and coffee options nearby.

Transportation wise this hotel cannot be matched. It is very convenient to subways (both the S Bahn and the U Bahn stations are right at the front gate of the hotel and around the corner, respectively). It is on the lively Friedrichstraße, within walking distance to a local grocery store, health food store, many great restaurants, and the Berliner Ensemble. There is a pharmacy next door and a great coffee shop right across the street. Besides being very conveniently located, the hotel is clean and comfortable and has a great staff. I’ll definitely go back. Also, book dlrectly via their web site. When we extended our stay for a couple of days, we realized that the rates were significantly lower than the ones we found on online booking agencies.

Amazing rooms and amazing decor. The room I had was truly luxurious. The included breakfast is fantastic. Very high quality unlike most hotels. The lower rating is because on the last night their restaurant was pumping techno music that came up three floors and through the walls. It took three phone calls to front desk and a call to the police to get it turned off. Not acceptable in a hotel! We are there to sleep not party! Why have sound proof windows when the noise is coming from inside the hotel?

The hotel was modern and clean. Breakfast had lots of options.
One staff member at the front desk was very rude and not helpful when I asked if she could help me call a taxi to get to the airport. She told me \"no, you need to do it yourself\". I was shocked, never had this happen at a hotel before. Also, hotel does not have a bar and when I asked the front desk for another recommendation for a bar near by, I was told to go walk around and find one myself.

While check-in was not great (no one at the desk for about 10 minutes while I and another guest trying to check in tried calling the number that was left for that purpose), the staff was otherwise very helpful and easy to deal with even though I do not speak much German. The hotel itself is very conveniently located near a lot of great restaurants and good public transportation.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!

I booked this hotel for two nights the day before travel. My friend and I decided to do a last minute trip. We booked a non refundable rate (the day before travel) and I get that that means no changes. However, en route to the airport, my friends Dad was taken in an ambulance to hospital and I contacted the hotel right away. They told me it was non refundable. I asked could I change to another date given the situation. They said yes. I rang hotels.com (the customer service guy was so helpful) and he put me on hold while he called the hotel to get permission to change the booking to a Monday/Tuesday in September. It was going to cost me an additional 50 euro to change it (even though I had originally booked a weekend). The hotel refused to allow him to change the booking (even though I had been told they would). I've emailed and called and nothing. I get it's a tough time for hotels but I booked it 12 hours before arrival (they were not booked out) and I agreed to pay an additional 50 euro to change it to two nights in September after them telling me I could but no. The worst customer service. Avoid this hotel.

Great Location

This hotel is near the Friedrichstrasse station, within minutes of Friedrichstadt Palast, Hackescher Markt and central Berlin tourist sites. The hotel itself is modern, the room (superior double) had a huge bathroom and the breakfast buffet had all the choices you'd want. There is no parking nearby, so it is best to arrive by transit. The only downside for us was the oppressive colour scheme of dark brown, dark blue and minimal lighting...floor, ceiling, walls, hallways... even the staff is dressed in black. Some may find this modern or relaxing, we just find it dark. When we stepped outside we were surprised to see it was a sunny day. It is a matter of taste and no reflection on the personnel, location or overall value, but we wouldn't return for that reason.

Be carefull with this hotel :
It looks nice and trendy, and it is. But :
- Wifi that doesn't work correctly
- It was very very noisy, untial 1 am, with the reception who doesn't care There is a bar undr, and they say \"it is normal, those are the hotel clients\"
- the room is very very little, no space to move rightly
- no room service if you don't ask for it
- rooms are very dark

Reservable parking spot in hotel garage was very convenient. Prime location near train station, shops, restaurants, and parks. Clean and simple yet relaxing room. Windows block much of the street noise. Air conditioning is weak, so the room can get very hot in the summer.

Very quiet, modern hotel with all the essentials. We stayed in a comfort room on the top floor (5th). It was spacious enough for a few days and had a great bathroom.
The hotel itself has a nice bar, lounge area and outdoor area. The rooms could use a few more basics included such as a coffee maker, iron and mini fridge but of course you can get by without.

I don't have much to complain about as the hotel staff and the shared areas (reception, bar) are lovely. Really modern and nicely decorated. Easy check in/check out.

However, the rooms (or at least my room) was so tiny I couldn't even lay down my suitcase on the floor and I walked straight into the bed upon opening the door. The toilet is but 1m from the bed so if you're maybe toilet shy...this isn't for you!
The rooms are also so dark that you can't see the floor. There was no main light in our room and we had all the wall lights on and it was very difficult to see, so if you have any visual impairment I would consider elsewhere.

This is a lovely hotel. It is located in a very central part of Berlin and in walking distance of Mitte. There are many affordable restaurants on its doorstep and the underground is reachable by foot. The staff are excellent, the hotel is what I would call budget chic. The breakfast is a feast with many dietary options. The rooms are small but very comfortable and includes a good aircon system (though a bit tricky to work but staff are happy to program if you can't figure it out). There is no fridge in the room or tea making facilities which was a little disappointing at first but there is a coffee shop opposite the hotel and I am sure you can order beverages from the hotel bar. I really liked this hotel and as mentioned, the staff are exceptional; It was my birthday during my stay and I happened to mention this to reception before leaving for a day of sightseeing....well, on my return to my room they had laid on a lovely small bottle of bubbly which was so sweet and much appreciated. Can't recommend this hotel enough. Thumbs up.

Inget hotell jag kan rekommendera. Betalade för ett
bättre rum än standard som var så mörkt och lyhört, angränsade till en club och musiken dånade genom väggarna till sent på natten.
Otrevlig receptionist som saknade känsla för service när jag påtalade problemet .
Hotellet marknadsför en bar men det fanns ingen. Lobbyn ligger en källare vilket kände märkligt.
Kaffemaskin på rummet men kapslar ingick inte under hela vistelsen. Brutalt hårda sängar .
Det enda som var bra med hotellet var frukosten.

10 night stay on a business trip

The location is very central and all the major sites are within walking distance. The hotel rooms are very dimly lit and COMPACT with little closet space, NO fridge, the shower booth cannot be tightly closed so your floor gets flooded. I heard many customers complaining about the noise at night too. The lobby is the only spot with high speed (only decent)

We enjoyed our stay a lot. the room was not big but it was perfectly accommodated for 2 people. The staff was so kind as well and I was able to reach them in anticipation to ask they help to prepare a special ocassion upon our arrival - they did and helped me amazingly with a birthday surprise! Just as a precaution the bathroom could get a little too slippery.

The hotel is very nice and at a very convenient location in Berlin, from where one can easily go around. The rooms are small, but have everything one needs for a few days. Some might not like that the decor is generally in dark tones, making the rooms a bit dark, but I still found them very nice. Quality toiletries in the bathroom and comfortable beds, with a coffee machine in the room. The breakfast was also very good. The only issue is the restaurant below (which belongs to the hotel), which can be loud until midnight on weekend nights. The hotel personnel recognised the issue though when I mentioned it, which I very much appreciated.

In den Fluren und auch im Zimmer war es uns zu dunkel.
Das Zimmer zum Innenhof empfanden wir viel zu klein ,alles sehr eng.Dafür war von dem Straßenlärm nichts zu hören,also schön ruhig.Bad,Dusche und WC waren sehr sauber.Für eine Nacht okay,aber nicht für mehrere Nächte.

Das Zimmer war sehr sehr dunkel. Für unsere Generation war dieses Zimmer nicht zumutbar.
Das ganze /Opel war dunkel, dunkel, dunkel.
