Very clean and comfortable room although they put us next to the cleaners cupboard which meant lots of loud banging from 8.30am daily and loads of trolleys parked outside our bedroom at all times. Really liked the location- easy walking round Mitte and loads of public transport to get you to other parts of the city. Decent buffet breakfast but also other places nearby where you can get cheaper deals if you’re on a budget. Would stay again if they gave us a better located room

Do not stay here, stay at neighbouring hotel

Not recommended, please stay at the hotel to the right of the INNSiDe.
1) The hallway and my room had a strange smell - somewhere between gym clothes and mold, I noticed it right away. After one night sleeping at the hotel, I woke up with swollen eyes.
2) The air conditioning isn't equipped to keep up with the amount of humidity the room generates. After being on all night, the room was definitely cool, yet still extremely humid in the morning - I hadn't even taken a shower. The staff will insist to guests that the units in their hotel work according to completely different principles than all others. This isn't true. German hotel professionals were also very confused by what hotel staff said about AC.
3) I found an old (dry) insect that could potentially cause an issue for the building. Staff didn't even bother to take a picture and decided it walked in from outside.
4) I paid for a better room and was put right across from the maid's room. I was woken up by lots of banging, over and over (not from other guests).
5) Hotel description states they use quality materials, including wood parquet. Flooring is cheap laminate, everything in room is cheap. Still, I would have stayed if it wasn't for the above.
6) I've stayed at many hotels in Europe, both expensive and budget. The budget chains in the EU are much, much better than this hotel.
7) My stay was so poor, that I opted to move into the hotel next door without receiving a refund. Sad, bc I was looking forward to Melia.

A Luxurious Stay in the Heart of Berlin – We’ll Be

It was truly a beautiful hotel – almost like a luxury hotel.
Perfectly located in Berlin, with short walking distance to everything in the city center.
Plenty to see within a 2 km radius.
Cool, spacious room with a larger-than-usual TV and a bathtub.
Great hotel.
We will definitely come back again.

1. The safe didn't work on the second day of our stay.

2. The air conditioning wasn't functioning.

3. Our room wasn't cleaned on the third day. Despite calling reception twice, I was told housekeeping had already left for the day, and they only managed to bring up one towel for the two of us. I had to call reception again to ask for another towel, as I wasn't sharing one. We eventually received two fresh towels, but the dirty ones were left on the bathroom floor.

4. Due to the room not being cleaned, I requested two clean glasses but was given two mugs instead.

5. As the room wasn't cleaned, we were offered two free drinks. However, it wasn't specified at reception that alcoholic drinks were not included.

6. The Wifi in the room was not working for 2 days. I had to use my own data and go into the lobby.
Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay at this 4-star hotel, especially as it was a present for my sister's birthday. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to any family or friends.

Despite all these issues, we received no compensation, only an apology.

Likes: proximity to U Bahn. Clean, bright room with mini bar that was replenished each day. Quiet - I was at the back of the hotel, so it was quiet for me. Friendly staff. OK breakfast.

Dislikes: air con not controllable in room and it got a bit stuffy at times - had to open window to get cooler air. An iron and ironing board would have been nice.

Staying at your hotel for 6 nights I found the following:

Reception:
Staff were not very friendly. We checked in online but on arrival, they did not provide us with a city map, no good morning daily etc

Breakfast:
It was good with a lot of choices. However, really annoyed by the staff collecting our plates/cups every minute. When I am on holidays, I want to have a relaxing time, to have a quiet time to have breakfast and being interrupted every 3 minutes by the hotel staff is really not something I have seen before.

Room:
6 nights and no even one single linen changing is quite surprising in a call “4* hotel”. No shower caps in the room either. We requested a quiet room and we got room 124 near the door and the cleaners room. It was “quiet” but if a customer requests a quiet room, the normal thing to do is to allocated a room at the end of the corridor not at the beginning of the corridor.
Nice “free bar” daily

Hotel was nicely allocated near the amenities by tram or underground.

Nice gesture the welcome drink and the points that can be used at the bar.

This hotel is a good value for a stay in Berlin. US visitors should be aware that early check-in may not be possible, so dealing with jet-lag on a morning arrival is an issue. The staff was friendly and spoke very good English. The breakfasts were very good. Location and public transit to major Berlin tourist sites is very good. There are not a lot of there are some good restaurants in walking distance, but you should be prepared for 20 min transit rides on some evenings for dinner. WIFI was decent but not super-speed.

Property was easily accessible via public transport and on arrival the staff on reception were extremely helpful and able to accommodate our request for a twin room.
The room itself was really bright with plenty of storage and bright and comfortable. Bathroom was very well stocked with toiletries and cleaned daily.
An added plus was water being topped up every day and local drinks - peach tea. It was lovely!
What was not great was service in the Craftrerie. We ate there on the first night. Service was slow and while the meal was palatable it was average compared with everything else we had in the city during our stay.
On one occasion we had been out late and the male member on reception was far from helpful to recommend somewhere to get a late night meal. We found a kebab shop. The same me,mber of staff could not tell us the next day how to get back to the airport by public transport. He told us he could order us a taxi - 60-70 euros instead of 3.80 euros!!!! How useless!!! That is just basic help to guests. VERY disappointing.
However, we did not let this colour our overall view of the hotel as it was very good.

We didn’t have the best experience at the start with check in. We arrived prior to check in time so popped out to get a feel for the local area. When we arrived back (soaked after torrential rain) I had to ask the front desk about check in 3 seperate times and when room would be ready - eventually we got in to the room at 3.45pm. No urgency or proactivity to help their guests. When we reached the room we had 2 single beds put together- not the king size bed we requested. As we were soaked, tired and had waited a good while for the room we didn’t broach the subject with reception but wish I had.

Secondly on 2 occasions staff just walked in to our room, even with us putting the ‘busy dreaming’ option on the door! Luckily we were dressed!!

Cleaning was average so marked it as so.

Good points- Modern hotel with a nice chilled vibe. Very convenient location for public transport or walking to tourist spots.

Our room was nice, if not a little basic for a king sized option.
Really happy with the hotel location - super close to the metro & local restaurants, so if you stay out late it is safe to get back to. The AC is not the best and it was a struggle to sleep some nights with how hot it got! Even with blinds drawn and the window open it was still boiling. Also worth noting the wifi is not the best, it cut out for us on the 4th floor quite a lot. We didn’t try the breakfast as it was too expensive (but there is a supermarket 3 minutes down the road which we used instead). Overall for a tourist holiday where we were out a lot it did the job!

NO AC !! Unbelievable, but true! Since we were staying there during a 35 degree C weekend, things were not good. Discussion with hotel staff was rather disappointing, because they kept saying that they had 'some kind of AC, but not the US style!' Well, it is a fan and NO cooling available whatsoever!
If things start on the wrong foot like this, it is hard to get back. It rather gets worse ... and here I have to mention the bathroom. Mediocre cleaning over years leaves stains ... and we had too many of those.

This hotel is next to a metro line so that was convenient. It is in mitte but about a good 15-20 walk to the major sites. The hotel looks nice but was not the cleanest. I also felt like I got scammed by a hotel employee who charged my 20euros to check in early claiming I would get an upgraded room and that there were no rooms available. I was there after the new year and it was evident there were plenty of empty rooms. Other than that the hotel was OK.

Great hotel in a convenient location for exploring Berlin due to being near options for public transport. The room was clean and smart; could only be improved by adding a kettle and tea/coffee facilities.

The only strange thing was that housekeeping came in our room at 9:30am (we had just woken up!) to try and clean our room on the day of checkout.

The lobby area has been refurbished to a high standard and was very tastefully decorated! We went for a drink in the bar Saturday night and enjoyed the pianist and singer.

Overall a great stay.

The room was very appealing and the bathroom was very nice. However, the single cot was broken (we didn't use it) and our room was facing the street window and could hear every noise from outside. Also, we would have liked to know the air conditioning is turned off during winter months; the room gets warm very quickly with no AC. The concierge was friendly and amenities were easy to use.

My wife and I stayed in room 104 from Sept 18, - Sept 24. The breakfast was good and the room was clean. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel until our last night Sept 23 when an intruder entered our room around 23:00. My wife was still awake and the intruder ran away. We called the front desk and asked for new keycards to be programmed. We felt the front desk staff the brought the new key cards to our room took the incident very lightly. Also, when we checked out the next morning and mentioned the incident we did not receive an apology from the front desk clerk or any indication that the incident was going to be looked into. To have an intruder enter your hotel room was very stressful for us and we did not feel safe and did not sleep at all that night. I contacted the hotel via email after we returned home expressing my concern but have not received a reply.

Location in Berlin Mitte is excellent and great, secure underground parking. Walking distance to Museum Island, Unter Den Linden, etc. Nice restaurant options close by. Our main complaint was the temperature in rooms. The heater was on and we could not turn it off. Night time teperature always 24 degrees +. Very uncomfortable. Even opened windows but heat still hard to dissapate. I complained but nothing changed. I would not go back here.

The hotel was clean with helpful staff. The breakfast buffet we purchased was also very good, and the hotel provided lactose free milk for me, based on my prior request. There was a U-bahn subway very close by, as well as other restaurants, in addition to the one in our hotel. The only thing I would prefer would be having better amenities such as shampoo and conditioner. They instead provide a shampoo/body wash combo dispenser in the shower. The price and location were fine!

Air-con a little noisy but apart from that rooms modern and clean, great shower and the breakfast fabulous. Well located near the U-Bahn. The hotel was in a great area. Not too loud, not in an over crowded area, bur still close enough to plenty of public transportation to get anywhere easily.

The hotel was undergoing a reno so the first floor check in was a mess and LOUD. There was no restaurant as it was being renovated. Iam sure when done will be great. For our stay it was not.

I stayed for four nights in this hotel and the room was modern, quiet and very clean! Air con didn't work in the first room I was given but I was moved to another room and it was fine there! Reception staff were all friendly and helpful. Location is good - just a 2 minute walk to an underground station. There are some local restaurants and there's a busy area with loads of restaurants just one station away on the underground!
