The room was definitely not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The room was small facing the street - you could barely open a window because of the traffic and the Tram (making noises even during the night).
The hotel looked overall a little run down - the carpets were dirty the wallpaper had stains…
And the staff wasn’t very friendly or helpful either.
I would definitely NOT book this hotel again!

Staffs were friendly, the amenities were a little bit old but worthy for the price we have paid. Moreover, the location was so good that we could come to every tourist attractions within 15 minutes and the main station in 2 minutes. A backdrawn was the noise that we had to deal with every night, quite loud and continous.

- Just OK... The floors are carpeted, but were never steamed... Lots of old stains...
- Best feature is proximity to the rail station (10 min walk), Reichstag building and the Brandenburg Gate...
- The breakfast is quite pricey (18 euros)...
- The hotel is very close to Charite Hospital, so be prepared to hear ambulance sirens day and night...
- no central air; you will get a heater to use, if you need one...

Friendly staff, clean bed and bath; carpets didn’t look clean - very stained! Location is short ride from the main areas, safe but not vibrant. Right on the road, ease if access but lower level rooms get traffic noise, unless window is tightly shut. No AC, a floor fan is provided.

Where to start…. We arrived in the room to find that the air conditioning was set so that you could not change the temperature to below 22° making the room incredibly stuffy and hot. We had one window which opened which was the length of a door to the noisy street outside (on the first floor so people could see in if it was open). The huge windows from top to bottom of the room made having the curtains open difficult as it heated the room up (there was no way to cool it down) and completely hindered any privacy however this meant no light in the room because there was only a lamp and two reading lights above the bed - no main light. The beds were extremely springy and uncomfortable and we were not given pillows but instead given a thin duvet and duvet cover folded up into a pillow shape which was incredibly uncomfortable and made sleep almost impossible. The room service was also pretty poor, all that was given was making the bed. Our towels were not changed throughout our stay and our coffee and tea were not topped up. Also, the photos on the website do not match the reality of the hotel in the slightest. However, the staff on the front desk were perfectly pleasant and helpful it’s just a shame everything else didn’t match the same quality.

Nice hotel really close to main train station

Nice hotel and a great location, 10 mins from main station.
Couple of small items- we were not provided with the normal information in the room, so we didn't know checkout times, bar prices etc, lots of drawers and cupboards in rooms so we may have missed it. On the first night we could not work out how to close the curtains, this made for a very bright morning, we worked it out the next day! If you have the circular room on the top floor look for a switch to close the curtains. staff were excellent.

The room was in need of repair. The shower flooded the bathroom, which in turn flooded the sleeping area of the room. The “pillows” on the bed were not pillows at all, they were sheets put into a pillow case.

I was kind of shocked at the hotel when we entered the building after reading the reviews.

The carpet was sticky and had lots of stains. The sockets on one side of the bed didn't work.

There was no curtain on the window in the bathroom so when it was night and we had to go, we couldn't use a light because then people on the street would see us.

The individual checking people in also served as the bartender? Not enough staff support.

No peepholes in the door to see who is knocking and also our door stayed open behind us!

Very noisy and very hot, I didn’t sleep at all the first night as if I had the window open there was lots of noise from ambulances, cars and people yelling but too hot with windows closed. Rooms very much need air conditioning.

Great location with good transport links, tram stop and U bahn within very short walking distance. Easy to get to main attractions and many within 20-30 mins walking distance. Hotel was clean and comfortable - rooms fairly basic and quite noisy with traffic if facing the main road - however, as were on the corner, had a bigger room than most with great views down towards the Hamberger Bahnhoff. Breakfast seemed expensive so we found excellent cafe a short distance away (Coffee Seven). Grocery shops a few minutes away and plenty of good eating options towards Rosenthaler Plats and Unter den Linden.
All in all would recommend and would return if coming back to Berlin.

Very clean, great location. The street is a bit loud but it is a big city and you can just walk to many sights.

Quite poor for a hotel (I see it more like a hostel-like standard). Shower water was not very warm and came with low pressure. Check in was difficult because the receptionist did not speak much English. Plus, I could not get the check bill from them (to get reimbursed by my job), because \"I had paid online\"...

Great Value Hotel

We loved our stay here. We booked a larger room overlooking the side road because we heard about the traffic noise so it wasn’t too bad. You cannot get away from the emergency sirens though. They were ear-splitting. The room was warm and comfortable and the beds good. Nice bathroom and tea making facilities. We got a train from the airport to the main central station for €3.40 and you leave the station, turn right and it’s an easy 10 minute walk to the hotel, so don’t
bother forking out for taxis!
A big thankyou to Sara on reception for all the help she gave us with maps and timetables. We had a great time in Berlin and saw all the sights. Really recommend the hop on bus tours. Great value

This is great recently updated hotel. Facilities are good and all staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s in a great location fir walking into the centre of Berlin and for transport links. However it is VERY noisy! The traffic noise lasts all night and police sirens are continually heard. I found some earplugs which meant I slept on my final night. If earplugs were offered by the hotel I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others!

Very convenient location and a great hotel

This hotel was a very good choice. It's got a really good location right next to Berlin's main station which was very convenient for me as I had an early train journey in the morning and I could walk to the station from my hotel. It was also quick an easy to get from Berlin Tegel airport - one half an hour bus journey that dropped me outside the main station from where I could walk. It was also very close tot he Naturkunde Museum undeground station from which there were plenty of connections to the S Bahn from Fridrichstrase station.

The location itself was pretty quiet but there were some nice cafes and restaurants around - Balzac Cafe which is a good coffee chain and a really nice vietnamese restaurant. Also some shops.

At night after the traffic stops, it's easy to walk from the centre of Berlin - straight walk from the Brandenburg Gate albeit a little long.

The check in/check out staff were very helpful. Also the room was fairly large and comfortable with nice bathroom, comfortable bed and decent furniture. The view wasn't great but I didn't spend much time in the room for it to bother me. The only thing was that the room got really hot. When I left the window open, I think it was set to automatically close which freaked me out when i first noticed. Luckily there was a fan which made the room more bearable.

All in all, this was a great choice as it was good standard and the location was excellent especially if you travel through the main station or Tegel airport.

The hotel is clean with friendly staff. The rooms are a good size.

Excellent location. A short tram ride or 10 minute walk to the main station. TXL bus from Tegel stops 2 minutes away and plenty of other options for buses and trams to other parts of the city very close.

The only downside on warmer days with this hotel is there's no air conditioning but a fan is provided in the rooms, although the rooms can get noisy with the windows open.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and the overall cleanliness was not very good. There was stains on the floor, the mirror was broke in the bathroom (it was meant to pop out) and on the last day the rainfall shower didn’t work. Good location, comfy beds but the overall appearance could have been a lot better for the cost.

A nice hotel with a location in 20 minutes walking to Reichstag building, museum island, and Berlin wall park etc. Tram and subway stations as well as some good restaurants are also nearby. The room is big enough and clean. Toilet and towels are clean. Air conditioning works well. Front desk staffs are nice and friendly, and helped taking care of our baggage when we arrived early than check in time.

This hotel is in a great location for all the major attractions. It’s a 10 minute walk from Berlin’s main station. The hotel whilst a budget hotel provides you with all that's needed. Comfortable beds. A nice touch was “coffee to go” and a fruit bowl in reception. Also a flask of hot punch which was very welcome after a long day of sightseeing. And all free! I would definitely return to this hotel.

The receptionist on the first night we arrived was exceptional, he went out of his way to make us welcome. The free fruit, the free drinks and gree computer usage are little touches that go a long way. The breakfast was.for me over priced. The cleaner did not clean the cups in the room and also changed the towels unnecessarily so not sure if they have an eco friendly policy. But overall very good. We also realised how close we were to the central station where a lot of the lines pass by.

Very good stay, saw a lot of the sights, hotel was in a good location although not a lot of bars or restaurants in the neighbourhood. There were some within a 10 - 15 minute walk.
The hotel staff were very good and spoke English, the breakfast was well supplied and sufficient for our needs.
The main Berlin railway station was a 10 minute walk away and there were also tram stops, U bahn stop and bus stops within a 2 minute walk from the hotel.
The room was small but suited our needs, a fully equipped room with a tv, hairdryer and air conditioning (room 208). It was very clean and the maid came in every day of our stay.
I would recommend the hotel and would stay there again.
The hotel was on a main street but after 8 hours of walking around Berlin, once asleep we did not hear anything.
Overall a great stay during which we managed to visit 6 of the 60 christmas markets.

Only one elevator quite slow and also with problems at the door so not so easy to get to the higher floors.

The hotel is in an excellent location and very easy to find and use as a base for exploring.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, not only for hotel related questions but also information about Berlin itself.

The room comfort was good and for the price the only thing that stops the rooms and overall hotel from being excellent is the lack of air conditioning. In fairness to the hotel we visited in a really hot week and they did provide us with a fan for the room.

The room was kept really clean every day and the basics were provided.

We didn't eat or drink at the hotel but comparing the prices to the places close by they didn't seem too expensive.

Nice location and clean room

The room is rather small but the facilities are clean and nice. It's right by the road so you can hear the noises of the cars and trams. But it's close to the U bahn station, bus station, and central station(with 24hr pharmacy) is in walking distance as well. Within 5 mins walk you can reach supermarket, restaurants, bars, and late night kebabs. The location is very convenient.

Well located Hotel. Easy access from several points of the city.

Close to metro and tram stations Berlin Hauptbahnhof (Main Station), U Naturkundemuseum and Nordbahnhof. If you arriving at Tegel Flughafen (Airport) you can take the TXL Bus and drop out at “Invalidenpark” Station and walk a few blocks to the hotel. Excellent customer service, quick Check In, nice staff and I have to highlight they speak really good English if you don’t speak German. Close to restaurants and supermarkets.

Nice Bathroom and relaxing shower. Nice TV with HD channels. Excellent wireless Internet. The rooms have a very well distributed space especially if you have travel bags. Overall it’s a good choice is you are looking for a place to stay in Berlin.

Good location, short walk to tram stops one of which has direct bus service to Tegel airport. The tram stops will take you to Hoptbanhoff or Alexanderplatz which give to acces to S bahn, U bahn and more trams for access all over the city.

Great Hotel with amazing breakfast

This hotel was perfect for my working vacation. I could walk down towards shops, grocery store, and restaurants after work, and it was a short walk to Berlin Central Train Station. It was clean, and quiet for a inner city location. The breakfast was amazing with meats, fruit, eggs, fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh baked bread, and cake. The staff was helpful and went out of their way to make me comfortable.

I have stayed there for 4 nights. Considering this, I was deceived of the first room that I've got. But at least, the front desk changed it.
Breakfast was included but, it was cool every morning. Cool scrambled eggs and bacon is not so good whereas the bread was super good.
Rooms are very small but, if you were used to it in Japan, you'll deal with it.
Very well located.
Overall, I liked this place and I would go again.

Excellent location in Berlin-- close to many major attractions! The receptionists are very friendly and extremely helpful. The carpets need to be replaced, especially in the hallways (hence the neutral \"condition\" score). Some of our rooms have double beds instead of two-beds, which we were promised. Breakfast is an add-on to our rate, and it is pretty pricey for breakfast.

Nice little hotel, clean, warm and comfortable (great bed & shower) free tea/coffee and hot spiced punch in reception, staff very helpful and welcoming.
Location not super ideal as not much in the immediate area apart from the Natural history museum and central train station, but easy enough transport links (would highly recommend using the maps app if you can’t read the German signs) also the hotel is on a main road which is quite noisy but thankfully not between 11pm-8am.

Small hotel still near some restaurants and bars

Hotel was very clean and nice. It only has 60 rooms so it is lightly staffed and sometimes you have to wait to get in late at night. Breakfast was good but expensive at 15 euro
