Room was fine - silverfish in the bathroom wasn't great. Hearting was good. the two single duvets thing is a bit weird - just provide a double duvet. A few tea bags/coffee sachets would have been very welcome. The worst thing was the bar was closed!!! We'd really been looking forward to having a drink in the well-described bar after a long delayed journey. BUt it was Shut. This is rubbish!!!

Very courteous and helpful staff. The room was large and kitchenette was well stocked. There was a Nespresso machine in the room, but no coffee, sugar or creamer. I was able to get some at the front desk. The parking situation at the hotel (and Berlin overall) was frustrating. The hotel has a handful of parking spot in a parking garage. There are no other parking garages in the area. The first night all of their spots in the garage were full so we had to hunt for a parking spot in the surrounding area. The second night one opened up in their garage that we were able to take.

Overall the hotel was nice, clean and had a friendly staff. The only complaint is the parking situation.

Lobby was nice and staff were friendly. Room was clean but quite small, well stocked with dishes for two as we like to have breakfast in our room rather than go out or spend €15-19 for the hotel breakfast. I always appreciate bedside tables on both sides, but there were no bedside lamps. We needed to request capsules for the coffee machine in our room, but after the first night they stated a €.60/capsule charge. The hotel was in a good location, 2 blocks to the U bahn, and walking distance to many sites and shopping.

Really lovely apartment just minutes from check point Charlie and the Kochstrasse u bahn. Shopping options really close by with Lidl and a whole foods store within an easy 2 min walk. The apartment was very quiet, well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.
Only downside was the 1 English speaking channel on the tv, which you could fix by taking a Google tv or by casting.
Would recommend and stay again.

Overall, my stay was very good. No real complaints. The staff were friendly. The room clean and comfortable. The only negative is that rooms are not air conditioned. So, if it is a hot day the room will be too hot to sleep in.

Room looked nothing like the photos on the one I booked. No air con, the room was upwards of 34°. The reception staff claimed they couldn't understand English when I asked about air con/fan they said there was one in the room. I insisted there wasn't. They said they would try and get one but it seemed like they couldn't be bothered. A fan was delivered to the room but was completely ineffective. When I said that we couldn't stay there and asked for a refund, they shrugged their shoulders and said because we booked through Hotels.com we weren't entitled to a refund. The customer service was appalling.

We booked a different hotel, more central and with air con for less money and helpful and friendly staff.

DO NOT GO TO MONDRIAN SUITES you do NOT get what you pay for!

Perfect stay!

We stayed for 5 nights at Mondrian Suites and everything was excellent. Friendly staff on reception at check in, room was clean and had all the amenities needed, comfy bed and location was quiet at night. Well located to explore east Berlin, including Checkpoint Charlie at the end of the street and Museum Island 20mins leisurely stroll. And UBahn stop 5min walk away if needed.
Would definitely recommend!

Good hotel with clean rooms. Nice sitting area on ground floor. The kitchen area was good and bathroom clean - good shower.
It does have a bar area, but it’s never really open and they didn’t have any beer for sale!
Rooms could do with the air con as they were very warm. Did provide fans and the balcony area was nice.
Good transport links to the main areas of Berlin.
Would stay again.

Great location, in a quiet area of the city, very easy access to underground, Checkpoint Charlie 5mins away, Jewish Museum 2mins away. The accommodation overall was nice, rooms quite spacious, comfortable and the little kitchenette was useful for preparation of our own breakfasts. Recommended and definitely will book again when in Berlin.

Had a really excellent 2-night stay. Nestled quietly inside a green courtyard (which makes the entrance initially a bit difficult to locate). Very cozy and elegant inside, with pleasant, comfortable rooms and 24h reception. Two bars and a wellness area, though unfortunately I did not visit. For the price, I would expect something much less. Will definitely stay again.

The hotel is overpriced. Looked better online than it really is. Still a great hotel, though. Clean and comfortable. The gym is not good, very basic and lacks weights. Same as the sauna - it wasn't even working most of the days I stayed there. The phone in the room wasn't working, so I couldn't call the receptionist anytime. The breakfast is VERY average and super overpriced, it also looked much better online than it truly is.
The area though is amazing, very central and easy to get around.

The property did the job and is okay if you need a warm dry place to stay. Great location as it’s just out of the centre and has an amazing bakery next door. Unfortunately the bed was extremely uncomfortable and was far too firm, which gave both guests some bad nights sleep. The shower had 2 settings, boiling or freezing. For an eco friendly country, we also expected a recycling bin.

We checked in a bit late - around 10pm. The receptionist spoke poor English and struggled to get across important information to us. It became unclear what we were getting charged for and I had to use my translate app to work it all out. I know it sounds pretentious to expect German receptionists to speak great English, but we experienced better levels of English from almost every other German person we interacted with on our trip.

Summary: good hotel let down by dangerously bad fire safety and communication.

Apartment was relatively clean and well appointed, and the other facilities excellent. Area was convenient with good transport links, if a little run down. However, the way that the staff handled a fire alarm on our third night means I cannot recommend staying here.

I understand that false fire alarms happen, so I'm not penalising them on that, but there were no visible staff at any point. This meant there was no marshalling of the crowd, no roll call to make sure everyone had evacuated, and we were not informed when the fire brigade had given the all clear. I have no confidence the staff would handle a real fire in a better manner, which could easily result in someone becoming trapped.

Rooms were big, nice and clean. Had everything you would need from shower gel to saucepans. The balcony was nice to sit out on. Very close to checkpoint Charlie and the stations you would need to get around.

Property itself was nice. Easy access to public transportation. Area around property was suspect. Just a little dirty and unkept. Rooms are nice, not great. They charge you for breakfast everyday which is the same thing everyday, do yourself a favor and go out to eat breakfast if you want some. Staff is friendly. Hotel does have a sauna and small fitness room.

Second time staying as we love the rooms and location. This time however there was a 1.30am fire alarm. This cannot be helped by the staff but the disappointing part was the lack of communication from the staff at this point. Then on returning to the room there was some kind of very noisy vent, on speaking to reception about this, the gentleman was very unhelpful with just a shrug saying there was nothing he could do: no fix, no room change, no earplugs, no amended check out. The lack of any sort of sympathy or help was a very disappointing end to and otherwise lovely stay.

Comfortable, very clean, well appointed, easy to access main areas with buses and u-bahn. Excellent shops in area to buy food. Would have preferred to not stay on ground floor as solo female traveller as could not leave door open for ventilation or have curtains open as no privacy. There is no AC so room was hot due to me not being able to open door safely. I would stay again but ask for top floors.

On arriving to the hotel it looked like you were in a third world country with the park outside the hotel dirty, broken bottles, rubbish thrown around and the weeds and uncut grass surely management would arrange to get the place cleaned up but once inside the hotel all was ok and the young girls on reception were excellent but not Amanda who was short and rude, would not stay there again and would not recommend it to others….

The property does not have air conditioning. In 30 degree heat they give a weak air fan and tell you that they are done. The place itself is dirty,old and disgusting. The bed mattress was harder than the floor. The shower leaks and since you have to sleep with open window, mosquitoes and flys bother you all night. Manager is completely useless and tell you you should have not booked with them

Location was great - Checkpoint Charlie and U-Bahn a couple blocks away. Lidl was next street over. Our stay was quiet and comfortable. The apartment was a nice size overall. Kitchen had everything we needed although need to keep in mind the fridge is a mini size which can be a little tight. I noticed coin-operated clothes washers in the basement if needed. Like others have mentioned, the one elevator can be slow and the walls are a little scuffed up so upon arrival I had some doubts, but once we got to our room we were really happy we had booked here. I would stay here again.

NEVER STAYING HERE AGAIN. When I booked the hotel, I called to ensure bedding was feather-free (I’m very allergic). I was assured it was. Morning before check in, I called & told we had feather-free bedding. At check-in, I asked front desk staff if it was feather-free & told it was. Room wasn’t feather free. Phone in room didn’t work & went to lobby myself to get feather-free bedding. Room was beat up. Scratches on walls & missing corners of walls (damaged before us). Sunday (night after we checked in) asked housekeeping to clean room. They did & ate some of our snacks that were in the kitchen. We were weirded out & made us both uncomfortable. Wednesday night (checked out Friday), we asked for late checkout @ 2 p.m. Gentleman who helped us was kind & assured us it was okay & no fee. Friday 1:45 p.m., us, two young women were changing into our clothes to go to the airport when a man from housekeeping (without knocking) opened the front door. We immediately got dressed & opened the door. He was standing directly in front of our door. We said we had until 2 p.m. to check out & to please wait until then. We were given attitude & no apology for opening the door on us. 2:05 p.m., at front desk & told with attitude we owed a late checkout fee. We said that we were told Wednesday night we had late checkout w/o a fee. Ended up not paying fee. Want to clarify: most of front desk & cleaning staff were lovely & very kind. We were happy to see familiar faces & say hi throughout our trip.

The apartments are large and they have some really nice elements - such as the balcony, big shower and Molton Brown toiletries - but there are just little things that lose it marks, like a lack of aircon, scuffs on most walls, an old and unresponsive TV, and a few missing bits from the kitchen, like kitchen roll.

Perfect location to explore Berlin

Two night city break with my daughter. The property was perfect. Short walk to U-Bahn station and all main sights easily reached on foot or train. Bed really comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed with Lidl a couple of minutes away. There is one lift, so in busy periods you may have to wait, but didn't affect us.

Almost perfect

The location is amazing, the neighborhood is nice and quiet. It's not right next to a street but in an internal garden surrounded by other buildings which is quite nice. You have fast connections to pretty much all places in the city as well as being right in the center of it. The reception staff was really nice, especially a lovely bulgarian lady that was extremely helpful in every regard. The rooms themselves are bigger than most of the places you would find. You have a Lidl 2min away which is extremely convenient especially for the rooms with a kitchenette.

The only issue is that it can be a bit shabby at times, with the elevator depending on which one you take and the room had a lot of dust going around. The cleaning staff did their job well but it was still visible. Keep in mind that they do not have air conditioning which was fine in our case despite it being the summer since Berlin rarely gets too hot but for some people that would be a deal breaker.

In general, we loved it and that's why I am giving 5/5 overall stars.

In a lovely park area, surrounded by other apartments (some residential), lidl just around the corner. bakeries very close too. mondrian was clean, transport system very good, often and just nearby. bar in the hotel wasnt open when we were there for some reason. was very warm, no air con, only a nearly pointless fan.

Very handy for Kochstraße/Check Point Charlie - 5 mins walk away. Couple of bakeries nearby and a pharmacy type store. Most places within the old East area around the museums and Alexanderplatz are around half hour walk, and the Brandenburg Gate about 20 minutes.
Local authority or whoever could’ve maintained the grass area better nearby, no fault of the accommodation. Didn’t have any travel adapters though the hotel booklet said they had them on request. Some rowdy teenagers staying on our last night, no real grip of that situation. However, all minor, the places was clean, convenient, friendly staff. Would stay again.

Nice comoact hotel room with a kibut not a \"suite\"

It's a bit of a stretch to call it a \"suite\".
It is a small hotel room with a microwave, sink and fridge where you would expect to find a dressing table so do not expect anything spacious or luxurious.
Having said that, bed and bedding were of good quality, the bathroom was very nice with Molton Brown toiletries. The towels were a bit thin though.
There was a nice little balcony which isn't usual for a city hotel so that was good.
The bar was never open in the evening despite being advertised as open till 11.30pm.
The lication was good for where we finished our walking tour and tge next day we walked to the Jewish Museum in under 5 mins. Theres a lively cafe next door to the museum which id recommend

It was a quiet place with a balcony. Felt more like an apartment in the city. Not a lot of chárqcter in the rooms but totally function able and comfortable. There is a great store around the corner for all your cooking needs.

The staff at the front desk are very helpful,
Friendly , and positive. The lobby is cute and welcoming. The price is reasonable and the location, in a green courtyard off the street, makes it quiet. However, the property is poorly maintained. Hallways are very poorly lit, no air conditioning, not all the lights or the in room safe were working. There is a working kitchen but ours had a large stain on the floor. The water is hot, but cleaning service, the one time we requested it, didn't even make our bed. There is small park outside, but it is unkempt and we saw someone sleeping on a bench there. For the price and a short stay the hotel is basic and adequate, but not one I would return to.

Not sure why I was charged extra 30 euros for checking in 2 hours before your 3 pm checking time. This never happened in any other hotel to me. Since most international flights arrive early morning setting 3 pm checking in time is excessive.

Average accommodation.

Room was very clean and bed comfortable. However one of the 2 chairs was broken and did not feel safe to sit on and there was also a huge picture missing from the wall which looked unsightly. In addition we had a problem with ants inside the room which took 3 separate visits to reception to sort out.
We also had to extend our stay for half a day due to illness and whilst we accept we had to pay for the whole night, albeit we left at 1900 our keycards were terminated and we had no access to the room.
Overall very average. Reception staff were all very pleasant but attention to detail was poor.

Good central location - but quiet spot away from main rd. Near a primary school and residential flats and a park. Child friendly. Very good staff on reception. Clean room with balcony and small kitchen facilities. Very good shower. Great location if you want to explore central Berlin. A few mins walk from a subway station
