Wonderful on all counts: service, location, food and comfort. Very pleased with the kindness and attention to detail provided by the hotel staff. The location was very convenient for tourist bus, walking and public transport with a major station across the street. The breakfast was lovely and the tapas restaurant was delicious. The soups were also a favorite of mine. The room was very comfortable and spacious.

This hotel was amazing, the staff at the desk were very helpful. The room was great. We did book an exec suite and it stated it had a balcony, which we didn't, not sure why. But the bathroom was very spacious with a deep bath tub. Even me at 6' could easily ly back and sink into the bath.. There were only 2-3 things I thought could have been better, but I'm being really picky.
They were that we had to ask for the coffee to be replenished at reception and this was embarrassing as I wasn't sure if this was included or we had to purchase ourselves. I also noticed that the bedside table was extremely dusty and it had not been cleaned. I also had to leave a note for the staff to replenish the sugar in my room. We were staying for 5 nights, and tbh I thought this would be standard to be replaced. The fact we had to prompt the room staff was not great. Overall, we would 100% come back to this hotel, but the head of the the room staff need to be on top of their cleaners/maids, as they do not do a thorough job in my opinion. Guests, paying £200+ p/n should not have to ask for sugar/coffee etc. The Hotel is in a great location, right next to Christmas markets, Postdamer platz train station and the 2 malls. I gave 5 stars as the positives completely outweighed any negatives.

After we got back to the US I received an email from the hotel informing me that they noticed a table in the room had been damaged and they were going to charge me 150 euros. I’ve stayed at about 1000 hotels in my life and this is the first time I ever received such an email. I didn’t damage anything in the room. If I had I would’ve informed them. I will report back on how this matter proceeds.

We had a beautiful room that was much bigger than we normally see in Europe. It was comfortable and quiet with a ton of storage space and a large bathroom. Easy walk to sites such as the Brandenburg Gate and to the subway station. Thermostat is under the hotel’s control, which was unusual in our experience, but they changed the temperature quickly when we asked. We didn’t eat or have drinks there so I can’t comment on that. It’s a lovely hotel that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Potsdamer Platz is centrally located, being 10 minutes walk from Brandenburg Tor and right next to sections of the Wall. The Sony centre has a multi screen cinema. The U Bahn and Train station is 2 minutes walk away as are the stops for the Hop-on-Hop off buses. Good routes to Eastern Berlin and the Zoo area.
Berlin is very flat and easy to get about. You can walk to Brandenburg Tor in 10 minutes and Reichstag in 15. Shops, restaurants and supermarkets are all within easy walking distance. We went on a free Walking tour from Rotes Rathaus which was well worth going on and showed us a lot of Berlin.
The hotel restaurant is 2 Michelin Stars and is very expensive if you are on holiday (238 euro each without drinks). The hotel does not really cater for light meals but there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Upgrade to the Management Suite to get a balcony and kitchenette. Ask for the pots, pans, utensils and a toaster and you can enjoy breakfast on the balcony.
Note - The pillows are too soft. We had to ask for extra as they had no guts but even then are much softer than you would get in the UK.

We’d stay again.

Great place to stay. Big room, comfy bed. Cleaners didn’t clean properly each day and make sure you work out the Do Not Disturb button (it’s a bit tricky) because the cleaners will knock at 07:30am and just walk in. Then they’ll knock again at 08:00 and just walk in….yep…then at 08:30.

Bed was comfortable and shower over bath was OK. No fan in bathroom so it steamed up badly. Loved the huge walk in robe but surprised it didn't contain an iron and ironing board. Food in the bar was superb and reasonable. Breakfast was just OK but expensive.

The room was wonderful even though it only had an instant coffee option. I loved the bath and all the space for my toiletries. The walk in wardrobe where I could leave my bag was great to have as separate to the main room. The location was wonderful too. It rained while there but it was still possible to do light sightseeing in the general area and find good places to eat. I would definitely stay at the hotel again. The staff were very helpful.

The Mandala was exactly what we wanted staying in Berlin. Close to the areas we wanted to visit, and in walking distance to markets, restaurants, and shops. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy. The restaurant very nice and enjoyable, particularly for breakfast. We will be returning to the Mandala again.

EXCELLENT. Everything is PERFECT. Staff extremely friendly. I encountered at least 4 different ones and all are super nice and friendly. The room is perfect, very large with big windows and very clean. We even had a kitchenette in our room. Bathroom very spacious and very clean. Location is PERFECT. Walking distance to EVERYTHING. We just loved everything about this place. Didn’t try the gym or the spa. Maybe next time because , should I come back, I will definitely stay here again.

Amazing Experience!

The staff went out of their way to ensure my stay was truly amazing. The breakfast was so good and the wait staff so friendly. Reception helped me with printed directions for the subway, and sadly, the emergency room!
This was by far the best experience I've had at any hotel and can wholeheartedly recommend The Mandala to anyone going to Berlin

Comfortable hotel in a great location. Staff personable and helpful. Lovely spa. Didn’t use the restaurant as plenty of places to eat nearby. No price list for the mini bar and took a little while before we figured out which button to press to let them know to service the room - the member of staff who showed us to our room could / should have explained? Controlling the room temperature a bit hit and miss; a combination of radiator and opening the window.

The hotel stay was awesome!. The staff makes sure you have everything you need. The staff was very polite and welcoming! I would definitely recommend this hotel and I look forward to revisting Berlin and staying at the hotel again. I was so comfortable and the surrounding restaurants had great food options. The rooms were very clean and efficient. We had 3 rooms in total and my family was very pleased with their stay as well. There is plenty of shopping areas as well.

Easy location for seeing the sights of Berlin. Modern hotel, near to a large shopping mall, short walk to Checkpoint Charlie and the Brandenburg Gate.
Hotel is very clean, rooms spacious.

We stayed for the holidays and the trip was perfect. Walking distance to Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Place and Unter den Linden, but also great connections by bus and subway right in front of the hotel entrance. All the staff where very nice and the whole trip was perfect. We really enjoyed having a balcony in the city center.

Fabulous stay at The beautiful Mandala Hotel!

What a beautiful hotel! Also very centrally located. The suite we stayed in was very clean, modern and spacious. Bathroom was amazing, with separate bath and shower. There was loads of storage space so you could keep everywhere looking tidy. They had the best hotel hairdryer I ever tried! Even had a kitchen area with fridge. There was a lovely balcony looking over a central area. The beds were extremely comfortable and they had an extensive pillow menu. This hotel definitely lives up to its 5 star rating. Could not fault anything. Would absolutely recommend.

The property was very nice and the room was nice as well. We got an executive suite because of the balcony which actually had 2! However we never used them due to the chilliness and also I thought we would be facing the street not just a wall of green. The biggest issues we had were the lack of a coffee machine. Even the most basic hotels have a coffee machine. I read reviews where the hotel responded they have them you should’ve asked. I don’t think we need to ask, rooms should all have it. I knew there was a Michelin star restaurant on site however I thought we would be able to get a normal breakfast. The breakfast was nothing special it was normal but at a price of $35€ pp it’s outrageous. So we had to walk every morning to find something. That was a big negative for me. The bar is on the second floor and laid out in kind of an awkward manner since the hotel is like a flat room going side to side with no depth on those floors. All in all the front desk was very nice and helped us with dinner reservations. The room was comfortable.
