The apartment was well stocked. It was also spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. The front desk person was very helpful and friendly. One of the court yards could have had a little extra light late at night but it was a fantastic stay and will do it again. Would definitely recommend.

Great stay!

Amazing staff, clean room, great location.
Wifi was not reliable, but that is not staffs problem. The front desk is only open till 17:00 (5pm) so if you don’t have internet connection it is difficult to check in and provide deposit, had to make security deposit in cash (which was returned upon check out)

Very much recommend this location as it is walking distance to everything.

It was a little misleading that the listing says there is laundry facility on site. In fact what it means is they can help you arrange laundry service with a 1-day turnaround. I was expecting that they have a room where you can do laundry on your own. Other than that, I had a nice stay at this apartment.

Overall, the apartment was spacious and clean. The only issues are a weird patch on the roof of the bedroom that was supposedly due to a water leak where you can sometimes hear water dripping noises from, and the heat gets quite overwhelming if you get a top-floor apartment like I did.

The studio apartment was very clean, well laid out, nice high ceilings, kitchen was supplied. It was very quiet. But - the WiFi was totally random. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not, or it would cut out. Frustrating.

Pretty much fine only minor niggles

Having three different codes for three different doors was a bit tiresome but once inside, the apartment was comfortable , spacious and well equipped. Parking could be challenging so it would have been helpful to know that it may be a problem.
It was hot when we stayed .we we’re on the third floor and had the windows open overnight and we’re disturbed on a couple of occasions by inconsiderate guests shouting in the courtyard below . A fan for every bedroom might be a good idea so you can keep the windows closed overnight if it’s hot.
Overall though the apartment was really pretty good .

Having an apartment on the route of the Berlin marathon was great! Two U-Bahn lines are within walking distance, making getting around the city easy. The amenities are outstanding. As a frequent traveler, I deeply appreciated having a selection of tea, sugar, and salt & pepper in the kitchen.

Terrible for late check in. 2 am on the street

The hotel called me, where I told them of late check in. They promised to send a self check in link, which they didn’t .
So I wasn’t able to check in at 2am on the street and have to find another hotel by myself. And I need to work next morning 7am.
Avoid this hotel at all cost

We had a late check in, 9pm and there were no lights at the entrance of the property. Had I been by myself it would not have felt safe as the area around the property is rough. There was no way to call or speak to anyone. The first night we had to endure loud noise as there was a party next door. If you’re a female traveling by yourself, I definitely do not recommend this place.

When we walked into our 3 bedroom apartment for
The 1st time we were
Completely blown away by the decor,
Space, cleanliness and overall feel of the place. It was truly a home away from home.
Housekeeping did a fantastic job refreshing the space every day. The front desk staff was very helpful and courteous. I must note that the office/front desk is not open 24hours. They have more “regular” business hours.
The location is perfect. There are all kinds of
Stores and restaurant around, including grocery stores and pharmacy. We were gifted with a bottle of champagne and pastries to ring in the new year. We’ve stayed at many 5 star hotels around the world and this is by far one of favorite stays so far. Can’t sing enough praises for the Arabel. It was better than amazing! Thank you...

Location is a little far From everything. The actual hotel/apartments are very nicely kept. Staff in the office that there is is nice and spoke English. The only bad part is that the staff is not there 24hrs. They have their servicing hours at the door.

The place was easy to find. We arrived late at night, and had someone available to greet us. They provided us with information on places that were nearby for us to get a bite to eat. The staff was extremely friendly, spoke English, which is a huge plus, and were easily approachable. The place looked like a luxurious loft in LA, with a modern look. With 4 girls, the two bathroom & 3 bedroom apartment was the best option for us. I hope to visit Berlin again in the near future and would 100% stay at arabel Design apartments again! Highly recommend!

My go-to place in Berlin!

This was the nicest place I have ever stayed in in Berlin! It was a very welcoming, clean and spacious studio flat that was perfect for 3 nights in Berlin. Good location as it's well connected to the U-bahn. I will be trying to stay here every time I come to Berlin from now on.

A great apartment style hotel, modern and tastefully decorated with plenty of space.
We were in a one bedroom apartment, which had a comfortable double bed, plenty of wardrobe space, a spacious living room and little, yet well equipped, kitchenette. A micorwave was the only thing missing.
There was a seperate bathroom with shower, but no bathtub.
The Arabel is quite centrally located and the city centre is easily reachable by public transport. Bus stops and 2 U-Bahn stations are within walking distance.

We loved the location of this property, restaurants and stores nearby. We were pleasantly surprised to check in and find we were upgraded to a better apartment. A bigger apartment, complimentary. That doesn't happen very often anymore. Loved our stay and would go back in a heartbeat if given the chance. The amenities and bedding were fabulous, kitchen fully stocked with things you may need to cook etc and a mini bar with things for purchase. Free water and fruit were in the fridge when we arrived. Stay here, you'll love it.

Loved the property...great size and location. I only wish that there was an available washer/dryer to do laundry. They did offer a service but it had to be in by 1pm if we wanted it back the same day. We didn’t have a laundry bag so the gentleman at the front desk said one would be delivered to us. It never was brought up and then it was too late for our laundry to be done. Had to wash our clothes in the sink and hang them to dry so all is well that ends well — just one minor inconvenience. The breakfast each morning was also amazing.

Poor service, noisy, no air-con

There was no air-conditioning, which meant I needed the windows open for fresh air and to cool the apartment in 28degree+ days. This was noisy as the courtyard was unmanned by security and full of people partying and smoking all night.
My room was not cleaned or serviced for 2 days, despite me requesting this
There was also a large city tax added at the end of my stay, which I had not been informed about.
Gentleman at reception was kind and tried to help as best as possible, but all in all a disappointing experience that I won't be returning too.

Nice hotel, quiet location

Lovely apartment, rooms generally large. Berlin was hot so every room had a large fan to help keep it cool... which they just about managed to do for comfortable sleeping.
Little kitchen area is well appointed and served our needs, for coffee making and an easy breakfast of cereal one day. Nice having 2 bathrooms with 5 of us. All in all a great place to stay and an easy walk to the U train for access to all the major Berlin highlights.

Family trip to Berlin, our apartment location was excellent, breakfast was delicious and we’d fresh towels with apartment cleaned daily, My only criticism is there was no air conditioning, staff did provide us with three fans for the apartment but at times the heat was unbearable and sleeping was very difficult.

The apartment is beautiful. The staff is very friendly. Our apartment did not have an air conditioner. We were there in April, so it wasnt too hot yet. We couldnt really keep our windows open at night because there were loud groups hanging out in the courtyard coming and going late at night. Cant hear the groups if the windows are closed. The neighborhood felt safe but once when we came late in the evening we saw a working girl on the street. Despite the negative we would definitely stay in the apartment again.

Great, but may be not for families

The good: The room/apartment itself was nice, very top-notch. Comes with a near-full kitchen (microwave was missing, so, not for the lazy; but there is a full-size oven). Beds, pillows, furniture were all nice. Elevator, hallways, stairs, all nice. Bus and subway stations nearby.

The bad:
1. sound insulation isn't top-notch. If you happen to have noisy neighbors, well, tough luck. The guests directly above our room was somehow always re-arranging furniture, so we could hear them dragging stuff around all night and early morning.
2. The wifi is good while you're on, but you get kicked out every now and then. Sometimes not possible to connect. But it's hotel wifi, it's par for the course.
3. Breakfast is a bit pricey. No buffet, only plated, and you have to order ahead of time.
4. There's a strip club/table dance club nearby. So might not be ideal if you're bringing kids with you (luckily my son is too young to mind stuff like that).

Overall still not bad.

Great apartment, good quiet location.

A very well equipped apartment with a comfortable bed and good curtains ensuring a late lay in if you want to. Two U stations nearby for easy transport around Berlin. There is ample wardrobe space, a room safe and a kettle, toaster and nespresso coffee machine and a large fridge. There are several good eateries nearby such as Brasserie Lumieres and Oliv. The only negatives are the WiFi requires you to connect (via username and password) every time you discontinue or pause use, it can be VERY annoying and needs to be sorted - and the shower curtain lets down an otherwise perfect bathroom - replace it with sliding doors!
As a suggestion for even greater comfort bathrobes and slippers would be a great addition.

Checked and and were very pleased with the room. Larger than the pictures made it look. Very clean and modern. Staff couln't have been more accomodating. Location was close but not too close, just right. Fabulous Cafe next door and the best Sushi anywhere just up the block.

I would highly recommend staying here. Next time we are back in Berlin this is were I will be.

Comfortable hotel-good for a group

Overall, our group of 4 (2 couples) had a pleasant stay at the Arabel. The apartment was spacious & comfortable & not far from Potsdammer Platz. There were only little things that were mildly bothersome-the sponge for cleaning dishes was removed from the room & not replaced. My husband & I had heavy suitcases & were directed to stairs to get to our room 5 floors up & later discovered there was an elevator. Nonetheless, this was a very convenient place to stay & would be good for groups of people travelling together.

The staff is friendly, helpful, and always willing to make recommendations for dinner. Arable Apartments are relatively close to Tegel airport (20-30 by car) and close to two metro lines. There's also a coffee shop on the corner, a pharmacy a couple doors down, and a supermarket a block away.

The rooms themselves were very nice. There's a good sized kitchen equipped with a good size fridge, oven, toaster, and electric kettle in case you don't want to eat out and the showers are lovely. The bedroom is nice and spacious with its own television.

The apartment was very clean & well presented,the double bed was comfy & the room was a good size.
The shower temperature was a bit erratic & we had a small flood but the helpful,friendly staff got it sorted quickly. the location is really good, we were in walking distance of Potsdamer Platz,the culture area & a good supermarket (Rewe) which had an impressive range of food which gave us the option of eating in after a busy day.

Pretty close to what was explained to us before booking. Nice design and finishes. There is no elevators so it was a hassle carrying up our luggage up flights of stairs. It is in the city so did get some noise from the city and people coming and going. Although the rooms are supposed to be soundproofed, we could hear lots of noise from the apartment above. Prostitues quite often hung around the street in front of the
Arabel. Pillows and towels not great quality. Very modern shower but impractical, slippery floors in bathroom. Not picky but pointing out the things that could be improved. Overall the stay was good.

The room description says there is a bathtub but none in the room. It is also misleading in that it says studio and that it has a seating area giving the impression of a large room. The room is very small, has a small table and is really only good for one person.
The shower has a cheap curtain and water runs all over the floor. The faucet is a fancy design but is too short and water runs onto the floor.
The apartments are nicely renovated except for these items that ruin the experience

Very nice room (converted studio apartment, I believe). Sometimes things would get loud in the courtyard outside, but generally that didn't last too late. Good location, lots of restaurants and transit stops within a few minutes walking distance. Overall great experience, would go there again.

We had a positive experience on check-in, but it went downhill from there. The fold-out bed was small and pretty uncomfortable, and the noise in the evenings, usually starting about 10.30pm till about 3am was very disrupting. I wont be staying there again, or would I ever recommend this place to anyone.

This place is pretty much perfect. Its clean, good location and very reasonably priced. I came to this area 6 months ago and there is more being built and more shops and bars so its a better area then it use to be and looks like it will keep getting better.

The only issue with he place is their is a restaurant next door and at 1am the staff are a bit noisy putting the bins out but thats all.

I will stay here every time i come, its a great place

Great location and great for our family

This hotel/apartment is well-located - not far from Potsdamer Platz and a block from an U-bahn station. It was perfect for our 2-day/night trip to Berlin. The little kitchen and dining table meant that we could eat breakfast and dinner in our apartment and eat lunch out. There was a REWE market just a couple of blocks south. The hotel had limited parking which cost extra, but wasn't too bad considering the location. The apartment was fine for our family of 4, with the adults sleeping in the bedroom and the children sleeping on the collapsible sofa in the living area. The bathroom was nice too, although it was hard to keep the floor from getting wet while showering. The kids loved the bathtub. Overall Arabel was exactly what we needed for our family outing to Berlin. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice no-fuss Appart-Hotel!

The Arabel Design Apartments is all you could wish for a pleasant stay in Berlin. It is close to many attractions (Kulturforum, Postdamer platz etc.) and is deserved with buses and underground that will bring you anywhere in a few minutes. There are coffeeshops, restaurants and grocery shops nearby. The staff is great and helpful: you can buy transport tickets at the desk, they will reserve a taxi for you etc.

The room was nice and clean, the kitchen is totally furnished if you want to cook basic meals. The only complaint we would have is that there is no air-conditionning. There is a fan but it was not enough to sleep comfortably in the heat we had during our stay. Otherwise we had a very nice stay at this appart-hotel. We stayed at many Arbnb locations but, for us, this type of accommodation is the best of both wolds: you get the freedom of an apartment and the commodities of an hotel ( a reception desk, friendly staff etc).

Excellent aparthotel. Good area with shops' supermarket & cafe's on doorstep. Public transport nearby but we hired bikes from hotel - recommend 15€ per day per bike and they are flexible on return times. Apartment was big, very modern & immaculately clean. Mini bar with alcohol, snacks, juices & carton milk. Large bottles of wine & vodka in rooms (chargeable). Marked down slightly for facilities for 2 reasons: no lift and quite a struggle with cases. Also large kitchen with many cupboards but bad layout. Should remove some of the cupboards & put in dishwashers for hygeine reasons and also because sink was 2 inches from cooker on one side & 2 inches from fridge on other so nowhere to even put wet dishes.

Front desk staff excellent. Would def recommend this hotel.

Lovely apartment near public transport

This very clean apt near public transport is quiet and convenient. Staff was very helpful. Decor was very stylish and our three bedroom apt was spacious. All paper and personal hygiene items provided as well as welcome apples and water. Laundry for a small charge. There were fans but no air conditioners. Fortunately it wasn't a super warm stay in June, so we were reasonably comfortable, but this could be a retractoe. Only other suggestion foe improvement is That cooking utensils were sparse...but that inspired us to explore low cost local bakeries and Oliv restaurant next door, so all good! Overall a good experience.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and speak good English, the room was very spacious and clean and quiet we cooked in the room both mornings for Breakfast using everything provided by the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel close to Christmas markets

This hotel was brilliant for our needs, just a 10 minute walk to a Christmas market. The kitchenette was brilliant and well stocked with appliances so we were able to prepare our own dinners

we stayed at the second floor with a baby and a 4 years old child. No elevator In the hotel which makes the going out and coming in a real hassle to carry the stroller and the baby and our stuff.

Great Apartment, close to Potsdamer Platz

This was a modern, clean apartment. The road outside had a number of \"gentlemen\" type clubs, but nothing to cause concern.

The apartment was light and spacious and was cleaned twice during our 5 day stay.

The reception staff were very polite and helpful.

Not so great place to stay

Not good. The first night, the second bed was not ready. We had to use a bath robe as a bed sheet, and a towel to cover the pillow for our daughter's bed, and I had to use a non sheeted blanket.

Then we discovered that not only the closet lacks shelves (it has plenty hanging space, but try to hang a pair of socks or undies), but one of them was unusable - broken.

Then the curtain was broken and the sunlight woke us up very early.

Then there was not enough tissues in the bathroom.

Then they did not come to clean the bedroom (they are supposed to come every other day, but they skipped one day, meaning we would be left three days with no cleaning if we did not complain)

To compensate, the front desk lady gave us a parking permit. Nice gesture.

Lovely located appartment, beautiful appartment

The staff were very lovely and helpful to us. We went as a group of 6 girls and the place was accommodative, the looked after our bags even before and after check out, they gave us information to get to different places, always up for a chat and were very welcoming. The appartment was so lovely! I would recommend to anyone! Hopefully going to return

Perfect place

We stayed here for 4 nights during a quick Berlin vacation. The place fit the bill in every way. It was a comfortable apartment. The staff was very helpful, especially since we arrived with a lot of luggage. For a nominal fee, they will drive you to the airport in a roomy van. The apartment was spotlessly clean, with towel service every 2 days. It is in an excellent central location with very easy access to both bus and S-bahn transportation. There is a nice selection of restaurants within walking distance. You can't ask for anything more.

New and comfortable room but not cleaned everyday.

Location is good. Room was new and comfortable and quite. Comfortable space for families. However, there was no one in the hotel when we reached and first impression was not good for check in. The rooms are not cleaned every day. There is a kitchen but since the cleaning is not everyday, using the kitchen may not be comfortable. One of the curtains was missing and we had to wait for 2 days. Personnel was good other than these a few experiences.
Considering the room rate charged these problems (mainly cleaning) should be improved.
