I had a disappointing experience at Systler Hof Berlin due to the attitude of the receptionist. Unfortunately, the receptionist girl was quite unfriendly and treated me in a rude and unprofessional manner during my interaction.

Hospitality starts at the front desk, and guests expect to be treated with courtesy and respect. Sadly, this was not the case during my visit.

I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves the level of customer service at reception, as it greatly affects the overall guest experience.

Perfectly acceptable place to stay that is convenient to the metro and buses that will take you to the main attractions. Has a luggage room to store luggage before check-in or after check-out.
No fridge in room, housekeeping is not daily, one lift was out of service.
Shower head does not fit on holder and therefore kept falling off, looked as if it never fitted on properly at any point in time.

Amazing stay.

We booked the hotel for 7 nights, the stay was amazing throughout. The level of attention to hygiene especially during these times was the highest and couldn't be better. Very tasty and big variety breakfast, well served and everything kept clean. The staff was professional and friendly and overall environment welcoming and warm.

Would recommend this hotel, a little way out of the centre but good transport links. Bus 100 & 200 more or less outside the front door. About 10 minutes walk to the ‘broken church’.
Comfy rooms, continental breakfast with some hot stuff too. Staff helpful & friendly.

Great location and loved walkabouts... The only downside was the wifi... Not consistant and at times, I felt like the old mobile phone commercial - can you hear me now... I always had to move the tablet to get or keep a connection... Other times, connection great... I would never use this hotel, if for business... If they invested a little money and time to improve the wifi, the place would be super... For holiday, I will be back there again next year...

I spent one night in the Styler Hof. The location of the hotel is very convenient to reach Tegel Airport and Nolendorfplatz, where you can find many bars and restaurants. The staff is very kind and friendly. It has a little bar for having your nightcap. And the honey they produce on their own rooftop, which they serve in the breakfast and sell at the lobby is very good! The only negative was that the room I had was situated in some part of the hotel, where all the water pumping or something like that was happening. It felt like staying underwater a bit...

Very kind, friendly and helpful staff, I broke a glass cup but not being charged. Good location not only close to restaurants and shops but also handy to bus stop and subway station. However there is no kettle in the room for a cup of tea and no laundry in the hotel.

Room was great. Very large apartment area with lots of space for a family of 4. Comfortable beds, even the fold-out, which are usually thin and horrible - this one was nice and comfortable. No hotel noise, which is nice. Rooms are a little outdated, but not in bad repair, so that's a small point. Parking was about 20 euros per day, but safe and on-site. The only issue we had was with the breakfast staff. We have a daughter with Celiac disease with a gluten free diet. We stayed there specifically because the restaurant said it had gluten free options, just ask the staff. We asked the staff and after about 25 min, they brought out a fresh baked gluten free plain bun. It was good, but took a long time as they forgot about us and apologized. Next day we ordered upon arrival to breakfast and as of 35 min later, we gave up and left. Breakfast staff ignored guests and had to be flagged down aggressively for coffee or anything else you needed. So the breakfast was a big disappointment. Room and location are great though for the money.

The very best part of this stay was the people. The front desk personnel, with one exception, were welcoming, accommodating, knowledgable, helpful, and friendly. It was super easy to get around Berlin from this hotel--the bus stop is right outside the front door, and the front desk staff will patiently explain the system, and even sell you an all-day bus/metro pass. The breakfast was plentiful and nutritious, although there were a number of gnats flying around and landing on the food. I was given the smallest, most basic room they have, right next to the elevator. It was pretty airless, so I opened the window--bad idea--I had mosquitoes waking me up in the night. I used the air-conditioner instead, which helped. The room was cramped, even though I was all by myself, and the bed was short, even for me, 5'6\". I imagine that other rooms are much nicer, however, based on the kind of clientele I met in the property. The hotel very kindly stored my luggage for me both when I arrived (until my room was ready) and after I checked out. The housekeepers were a little annoying-they started knocking on my door at 8AM to clean it, and even though I repeatedly told them I wasn't leaving yet, they kept coming back. Check out time is 11, but they didn't seem to care that they were obviously bothering me. In spite of these small annoyances, I would stay here again--my overall experience was pleasant.

No water kettle nor coffee maker in room. When asked, the reception clerk ask me to get water from the lobby bar, which then charge me €1 a cup. There is no fridge in the room too. The lacking of such basic amentities in the standard room does not deserve my recommendation.

The area was great. Easy to get to from public transportation (subway). Uber is €11. Many places to eat. Buss 100 outside hotel takes you to Brandenburg Gate and several other tourist spots. I purchased the breakfast, buffet for 2 mornings: excellent! I realized I had to checkout prior to breakfast being served and night staff said the kitchen could pack me a 'lunch bucket'... impressed! It was a sandwich, fruit, orange juice box, candy bar and water.
Staff was so nice! On check-in, I was given a eundown of the neighborhood and bus 100/200, etc. Everyone was so great! I will for sure stay here again when I come back.

As soon as I arrived I was met by a young lady at the reception, while completing some paper work she asked me about my nationality, it clearly says in front of her that I was British but because of my colour she says (what’s your nationality, of course not British)!!!!
That’s very racist, people like her don’t exist in the U.K. any more and I was very surprised someone with this mentality works in a hotel.
Also having spent a week in Germany half of the Germans in Berlin aren’t white so I am not why she decided that I wasn’t British.
I have never in my life put a bad score for any hotel I stayed in but this girl shoudnt be working in a hotel.

It s good located, we arrive 10 min before the check in and we waited vea cause they were cleaning. The bathroom wasn’t clean at all, we found hair in 5 places in the bathroom and we weren’t checking but it was on the toilet, bathtub, floor, sink, almost everywhere. I said it to the recepción and the only response was: yes, we will send someone to clean it and that she is imagining that it s not so nice, without saying sorry or anything.

I asked to change room on arrival - was told by reception I could not as the hotel was fully booked - the next day I noticed the hotel seemed quiet - the room cleaner told me the hotel was only half full. WIFI was not so good - kept cutting out so had to login again.
The worst thing was the noise from the other rooms and corridor.
You can hear a lot of noise - especially the vacuum cleaner. Very disappointing - considering the reviews I read before staying there.

Room was comfortable. Staff were cordial and attentive. Good Wi-Fi. Great breakfast. Hotel is near a major sub-way station making it rather simple to travel to city center. There are restaurants nearby. Hotel gave us a surprise gift of a bottle of wine on my birthday: very nice touch! If driving, guests may need to arrive early enough to find room in the parking lot which had exactly one space left the afternoon we arrived. (It appeared a portion of the parking lot was being redone.)

Nice older Hotel. Single Room Small Bed really fits only one person. Room was clean and room service was on point. The full length Mirror is in a small hallway where you can hardly see yourself I used the mirror in the stairwell. Overall I would stay again. I booked when the single room was $50 and that’s what the room is worth.

Used an apartment suite which was quite roomy. Very comfortable bed. Many good restaurants including mine-the food hall at KaDaWe(department store of the west). 100 bus stops at door to take one to the center of the new center of Berlin. It is my hotel of choice as I have stayed there numerous times.

I go to Germany regularly, but not at hotels who do not provide a bottle of water or ask euro 6.50 if one is needed after day 1, that too pick up from the bar downstairs. How much does a bottle of water cost these days. Room was very small to walk, the bed was not standard double bed, slightly larger than a single bed. On good side, breakfast was good, more than what I normally eat. wifi was also good, the bathtub was too high and narrow, no in-room tea.

The hotel provided an excellent base for an extended short weekend break in Berlin. The reception staff were friendly and fun, even taking the time to compliment me on my fairly poor German. Check-in was easy and efficient. My room was comfortable, warm and well provided with a free welcome bottle of water. The bed was comfortable and the facilities in the bathroom were clean and all worked well.
On departure, for a late afternoon flight, I was able to leave my suitcase in a luggage room. Again staff were very accommodating in managing this facility.

The room wasn't very comfortable. No matter what I could not the temperature quite right. The bathroom... it was small and the shower/toilet could have used a good cleaning. It's definitely more of a business hotel rather than one that caters to tourists. The location was decent... within easy walking distance of both the Zoologischer Garten and Wittenbergplatz stations. No safe or fridge. No issues with wifi.

It was a basic business hotel that has everything you need. It wasn't luxurious by any means, but I stayed at this hotel as a base to just drop off things and sleep in, so for those kinds of basic needs, it was great. The shower was formatted strangely and I nearly slipped and fell because I'm short and the bathtub is higher than the floor, but really, otherwise, it served my needs just fine. A bonus for its location because it was such a short walk to the nearest U-Bahn station and not too far from any fun places to visit in Berlin.

We arrived after a long train journey to be greeted with a 'Hello, how was your journey?' which was very refreshing and lovely to hear, highlighting the friendlessness of the staff that we had not encountered in any other hotel.

The hotel was lovely with an impressive reception area, and the room was very clean and great too. It was like living in luxury for an amazing price!! The decor was great and modern, and the beds were very comfy. They gave a complimentary bottle of water and two haribo packs (unfortunately my friend is Hindu and I am vegetarian so we couldn't enjoy these, maybe biscuits would be more inclusive?) but it was a lovely touch.

The hotel is situated close to Berlin Zoo/Aquarium and about a 25 min walk to Brandenberg Gate and 45 mins to Checkpoint Charlie - however there is also a metro 5 min walk away. We liked the location as it was not too far out, but also meant we could enjoy non-touristy restaurants. The bar is quite expensive for wine, but that is expected at any hotel.

Booked a standard single room. The room is cozy with bathtub. No fridge or kettle provided.
Very convenient. Bus stop in front of the hotel. 3 stops from Zoologischer Garten #100. Netto supermarket just opposite the hotel. WiFi is good. The breakfast is nice, you can pay on the spot. Staff are helpful. But I was not allowed for early check in.

Staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. Spent 5 nights there and they didn't clean the room once, despite my constant requests. When I asked for more soap (now shampoo provided) the staff laughed at me. When I asked where I could get some paracetamol for a headache they laughed at me and said they don't give drugs to foreigners. Truly awful place.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Our room was clean, modernly furnished and warm. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Cleaning services are provided on a daily basis.
Staff was amazing and very helpful. Breakfast is paid additionally buy it was very good.
Location is fine, public transport is amazing and you can reach all parts of Berlin in short time.
The only negative thing is weak wifi signal.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to all kinds of travelers.

Nice hotel in good location.

Nice hotel. Room was comfortable and clean but a little bit on the small side. Location is great and very handy for transport links. Bus 100 stops right outside or across the street (depending which direction you are going in),the nearest U Bahn is less than 5 minutes walk away and Zoo S Bahn and U Bahn stations are about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Wonderful experience!

I love love loved my stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was much better than expected! I thought it would be a simple, small room, but we had a huge suite with a full kitchen. The room and hotel were very clean and comfortable and I will definitely be staying here on my next trip to Berlin.

Perfect location

Location is perfect. It is very close to the main shopping street and it is easy to access to the main attractions including the zoo and the museum island by bus or subway. There are lots of café and restaurants around which are open till late. Room is spacious and clean. I booked for a standard room and I guess I got upgraded as I found a separated kitchen in my room. I was happy for that. However, it looks more like someone's apartment than a hotel room, so it doesn't have the atmosphere I would say. Bed is big but not very comfy. I am pleased with what I paid for, but I may try another hotel next time.

My daughter and I had a great time.the hotel was in a lovely area close to shops and entertainment.metro down the road.we would stay at the hotel again. We walked 12 miles the one day see the history of Germany.
